Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone In August 2024, I published my first app in the apple store. It took me several months, at first I received 4.3, but then I filed an appeal and it was positively approved. I finally released my mobile application. After that, I successfully released updates several times. One day I tried to release an update, but I got Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam again. How does it work? Why do I need to prove again that my app is worthy of being in the app store? Considering that the app already has positive reviews and ratings. Doesn't this mean that the application

4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone, I’m looking for advice from developers who may have faced a similar situation, as we appear to be stuck in a long-running loop of Guideline 4.3(a) rejections on iOS with no actionable feedback from App Review. Over an extended period, our iOS app has been repeatedly rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) (“similar or repackaged”), regardless of the changes we make. The responses from App Review consistently use the same high-level language and do not indicate what specifically is considered problematic. Some relevant context: The app is built with Flutter using a single shared codebase. The macOS version, built from the same codebase with the same overall structure and UI, has been approved without issues. The iOS version, using that same implementation, continues to receive 4.3(a) rejections. We do not use purchased templates and do not operate multiple developer accounts. Like most apps, we use some third-party and open-source components where technically appropriate. Acr

4.3 guideline nightmare
As many developers have already experienced (see https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/82935, https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/82964, https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/46910), Apple started to agressively apply the 4.3 guideline asking the developers to consolidate their existing apps into 1 container app. We experienced this ourselves recently. Our apps are designed to help people pass their UK theory test. As there are 5 different vehicle categories (which are not related to each other in any way) we obviously have an app for each of these categories. Apple is asking us to bundle cars, motorcycles, lorries, etc all into one container app.We already responded to the App Review team highlighting many reasons why we believe that this is a wrong application of the 4.3 guideline. Some of these are listed below:We develop all the code ourselves and we do not use any commercial templates. These apps target different sets of users (even the age profile is different)These apps co

Everyone helped me with it. Thank you.

My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
Hello. Appstore is rejecting my app according to article 4.3. But the app is not a copy, what should I do in this case? It is useful to specify the details; I had previously registered with my personal account and the Appstore stated that unfortunately VPN applications are not accepted with a personal account. Then they told me to register with a company account and make this application from the company account. (When I sent the application for review on my personal account, there were only a few incorrect items and the most important reason why it was not accepted was that it was a personal account). Now we send the application for review with our company account, but as soon as it is put into in review mode, it is quickly rejected due to 4.3 spam. The app is not a copy but completely custom created. I don't know how to find a solution. Can you please help with the issue?

Rejected - 4.3 Spam
Good afternoon, I will tell you my case, 2 years ago I uploaded applications to the store without any problem, I even uploaded my first application that was an application to download wallpapers, after that I was developing games, of which I went up to the store without problems, now I have been developing applications by hobby, but in all the cases that I have tried to publish them I find myself with the same copy / paste of 4.3 - Design spam, which always leaves me in them, I don't know what to add or remove for that my application is not considered spam, sometimes it seems that they do not even review it, there are occasions that the review does not last 5 minutes. What would you recommend me to do? Thanks

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello dear friends, I created the application from scratch, but Apple writes to me to do it as a mistake, please tell me 😭😭😭 Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality. Resources Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include: Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts Learn more about our requ

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello everyone, When I submit the game I developed with Unity, it's constantly being rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. Unfortunately, I haven't received any detailed information. I've changed almost all the assets in the code. I'm not using any code other than my own. But I can't overcome this problem. How can I find out where this problem occurs? Thank you very much in advance for your support.

4.3 Design Spam
I've been updating an old app developed previously by someone else. He stopped working on this app some time ago, and my client assigned this job to me (this app developer previously worked for my client). He deleted his version from the App Store. But. when I try to publish my version (with the same name, features etc. only with some minor updates) it gets rejected with: 4.3 Design We noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam. I've contacted the review team, telling them that there are no other apps like this one and that Im doing it with the consent of the same app company. But they keep sending me the same message. Unfortunately the original app creator can't move his app onto my account (his apple developer membership expired). And now I don't have a clue how to publish the new version, maybe its because of the different app bundle id? (For some reason it says that the o

4.3 Spam Guidelines
Hi - After having spoken with Apple directly regarding 4.3 Spam Guidelines, (they were no help), I'd like to put this out to apple developer community for thoughts and feedback. Our business operates in such a way that it requires our customer to have their own branded app/experience. As we all know, managing multiple Apple Developer accounts, codebases, QA testing processes is an absolute nightmare and we would like to avoid this if possible. I don't think we can, but seemingly, other companies have not followed these guidelines and their apps are still in the AppStore, for now... https://apps.apple.com/us/developer/yardi-systems-inc/id425728804?see-all=i-phone-apps https://apps.apple.com/au/developer/buildinglink-com/id355921358?see-all=i-phonei-pad-apps How is this so? Are these companies infringing on these guidelines? How are they 'getting away with this'? Is it just a matter of time before Apple comes down hard on these companies for their app listings? And what is the best advice moving forwar

No Response to 4.3(a) Appeal
Hello, I submitted an appeal after my app was rejected under Guideline 4.3(a). It has now been over 5 days and I have not received any reply from the App Review Team. Has anyone experienced similar delays recently? Does Apple respond eventually or is there something else I should do? Thank you in advance.
