Reply to Creating an URL bookmark in macOS 26.1 of a Windows NTFS fileshare returns a bookmark with access to the local drive
Creating bookmarks to the root directory of a volume was broken in earlier versions of 26. It looks like a change was made and that change broke NTFS. Good thing I haven't released yet. I need to double check. My workaround assumed that creating the bookmark would fail. I didn't anticipate success with invalid data. I don't know if my workaround would work for you. I have a special case where I don't actually need to access the data. I just want to know the URL. I can get the data I need without a security scoped bookmark. And it sounds like I need to re-do it anyway.

Reply to SwiftUI Slider onEditingChanged is unreliable on iOS 26
I am experiencing the same bug. On iOS 18 and older, when I move a slider, the last value reported by onEditingChanged returns false, as expected. But now on my iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26.1 and built with Xcode Version 26.1 (17B55), the last reported value for the slider's onEditingChanged is still returning true for the final value when I lift my finger off the slider.

SwiftUI Slider onEditingChanged is unreliable on iOS 26
For information I stumbled upon a regression with SwiftUI Slider on iOS 26. Its onEditingChanged closure might be called twice when interaction ends, with a final Boolean incorrect value of true provided to the closure. As a result apps cannot reliably rely on this closure to detect when an interaction with the slider starts or ends. I filed a feedback under FB20283439 (iOS 26.0 regression: Slider onEditingChanged closure is unreliable).

Should `input-push-token` be added to all live-activity based payloads?
I'm struggling to understand what the impact of this flag is. Docs only say: For devices running iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 or later, you can add input-push-token: 1 to your payload to start a Live Activity and receive a new push token. After you receive a new push token, you can use it to send updates to a Live Activity. But things were working fine for iOS 17. Right? Does it somehow make the OS emit update tokens faster/more successfully? Should I include in all start, update, end events?

[WebXR] Support for AR module in VisionOS 2.x
Thank you again for pushing the web forward in VisionOS 2, super exciting! The latest WWDC24 video touched on VR experiences for VisionOS2.0 using WebXR, however there was no mention of passthrough AR experiences. Samples such as this one are not supported: https://immersive-web.github.io/webxr-samples/immersive-ar-session.html In Settings > Safari, there is a feature flag for the AR WebXR module, but enabling it did not seem to change anything. Is this the expected behavior at this time? Any developer preview(s) we could try?

xcodebuild - xcresult equivalent for the build action?
I just discovered xcresulttool - provided with the Xcode Command Line Tools. It does an amazing job generating a JSON report of warnings/failures. The tool requires a xcresult file path - my issue is that xcodebuild build does not produce an xcresult file so I can't find a way to generate a similar report for that action. My use case is simple - in my CI job, I want to report back on specific failures during builds and tests. I run xcodebuild build-for-testing and then later xcodebuild test-without-building. If there is a failure during the test phase, I can easily parse the issues from the JSON report in xcresult. However, if there is a failure during build, there is no result file to parse from. What is more confusing is that if you run xcodebuild test (build and test in one command) compilation errors are put in the xcresult file and you can read them just fine with xcresulttool. Is there any way to get a failure report from xcodebuild build actions without parsing stdout/stderror? I am aware of 3

ASC rejects ReplayKit Broadcast Upload appex: RPBroadcastProcessMode “not specified” (key present in IPA & swinfo)
Summary App Store Connect validation (Transporter) is rejecting a build that includes a ReplayKit Broadcast Upload extension. The validator reports that RPBroadcastProcessMode is “not specified”, but the shipped IPA’s Upload appex Info.plist has the key at the documented nested path, and Apple’s own analyser (swinfo) shows the same key/value. [Xcode 26 beta 4] Cannot receive device token from APNS using iOS 26 simulator
Since upgrading to Xcode 26 beta 4 and using the iOS 26 simulator for testing our app, we've stopped being able to receive device tokens for the simulator from the development APNS environment. The APNS environment is able to return meta device information (e.g. model, type, manufacturer) but there are no device tokens present. When running the same app using the iOS 18.5 simulator, we are able to register the device with the same APNS environment and receive a valid device token.

PWA video playback stopped working after updating iOS to 26.0.1
Hey Guys My PWA video playback and even youtube videos stopped working after updating iOS to 26.0.1. The video thumnails appear fine and if i try to play the video, it remains stuck. If i restart the phone, the video plays for a second in the PWA and then stops again and entire app gets stuck. Request apple team to fix this issue at the earliest. This is hampering all my iOS users who install the PWA on their device homescreen and use it as app. FYI strangely EVERYTHING WORKS FINE ON iOS SAFARI browser including videos playback If i open it as a web app. so this seems like a specific PWA issue on latest ios 26.0.1

Reply to Build Issue
Hi, Sorry to hear you are having problems getting builds working. This is indeed an odd error. I noticed that the source code is currently stored in your Downloads folder. This is a folder on your system that is a bit special (I'd put Documents, Desktop and maybe Library in to that same category). Could you try moving the location where you store it to a different place in the filesystem than one of those and see if that improves the situation?
