Why My App Got Rejected?
I got this below rejection. I was asking why and which aspects of mine was a spam/similarity to which app, but they told me that they can't give a review for my app. I don't know how to resolve this, because I think I did this app done by myself and copying nothing from outside. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much. Hello, The issues we previously identified still need your attention. Review Environment Submission ID: cb12182d-504f-4c1f-851b-1595820da7ec Review date: January 03, 2025 Version reviewed: 1.0.2 Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We continued to notice your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality.

My VPN client has troubles being uploaded.
Hello Apple Developer commuinty! We have been developing a VPN client app with unique protocol for quite a while, and now it have come to publishing it in App Store/Google play. I know that publishing a VPN service requires organization(which i cant register because of my life situation), that why i have choosen to make a client. User is NOT necessarily required to use official hosting, theres an option of importing external key. App itself, doesnt contain any hardcoded server credentials and such, but it does have option to get free config from website by click. For some reason, my app review have not gone well. Apple have claimed my app have violated Guidelines 4.3(a) and 5.4. In all of my respect for App Review Team, but claim on Guideline 4.3(a) - Spam is completely ridiculous! App was completely written from the ground, not only including protocol, but the design itself. The MONOGON style, is unique application style which no other app on app store have seen(featuring dotted ASCII style

How Long Until Apps from a Terminated Apple Developer Account Are Fully Removed?
Hey everyone, I’m dealing with a frustrating situation and hoping someone here can share insights. My app has been rejected multiple times under Guideline 4.3(a) - Spam, with Apple stating it resembles an app from a terminated Apple Developer account. Here’s the context: A month ago, my teammate purchased an Apple Developer account from a 3rd party. Then after the app was submitted, we got rejection after that, a couple of hours later. The old account was terminated. The termination notice cited Section 3.2(f) of the ADP Agreement, mentioning commit any act intended to interfere with any of the Apple Software or Services, the intent of this Agreement, or Apple’s business practices including, but not limited to, taking actions that may hinder the performance or intended use of the App Store, Custom App Distribution, TestFlight, Xcode Cloud, Ad Hoc distribution, or the Program…. This old account was purchased from a suspicious source, which may be why it was terminated and you can imagine my relationsh

"container" app

The AppStore still comes across as "Rigged"
As a developer the app store just feels kind of rigged, and you will never get a reasoned reply to your concerns. Here are two examples which aren't revealed by the new transparency report. I had 10 solitaire variants. My competitor had 10 variants. New rule 4.3 brought in which is fair enough, except that afterwards Apple removed my solitaire variants but allowed my competitor to keep all of theirs. Search for Chess on the app store (note I also have a chess app). Why does an old app with a rating of 3 stars and just 18 ratings come above Magnus Carlsen's app with a 5 star rating? He is the number one chess player in the World and his app is superb. It is exasperating and you will only get a Thank you for your concerns, we have passed them to the relevant department kind of reply. You never hear from them again on the subject. There are 1000s more examples ... The only way Magnus can rectify this is, I poresume, by buying Apple Search Ads.

No Response from Appeal or Support
I'm hoping someone can help me get clarity on my app submission for LinkUp, an iMessage-native group scheduling app. Here's the timeline: • Initial rejection (~1 month ago): Rejected under 4.3(a) for duplicating functionality of other apps • I updated screenshots, app description, and submitted again • For the past 2 weeks the app has been stuck with no meaningful response from App Review • I have called Apple support, submitted messages through the Resolution Center, and filed an App Review Board appeal — but I have received no confirmation email for the appeal and it does not appear on my developer support request page What LinkUp actually does: it lets friend groups coordinate availability entirely inside iMessage. Users send a schedule card as a message bubble, and participants vote on availability directly in the conversation thread — no redirects, no external app required. The heatmap updates in the bubble as people respond. To my knowledge, nothing on the App Store does this.

I have a lot of problems with this tool as well. It's extremely misleading and doesn't really help you align yourself any closer to the latest hls authoring guidelines. What I find even more annoying is that Apple's official examples, although, a bit contrived, all have Must fix issues and a handful of Should fix issues. Apple's hls examples should not return any validation issues with their own tool. I mean what's up with their IDRs? Do they know something we don't know? They should really just pull this tool until their own streams can pass. It's great for pulling the metadata into a formatted table, but if they can't follow their own spec themselves this tool just sends developers down an unnecessary rabbit hole It would be nice if they also added a bit more verbosity to their issues, even link back to their own guidelines doc. 3. 2.0 Business: Other Business Model Issues
My app rejected in from apple side. How can I solve this issue? Guideline 3.2 - Business During our review, we found that this app was designed for a specific business or organization, including its partners, clients or employees, and not for general distribution on the App Store. Business apps available on the App Store are meant for use by a wide variety of external customers around the world. As this app is not intended for general distribution, it cannot be made available on the App Store. Unable to reach Review Team - Grace Period ended - App removed
@AppReview Recently our App got flagged out of the blue for 4.3 Spam with a grace period of 16 day. Supposedly we have similar Apps from associated Accounts in the Store (we have no other App - that's mistake) We were confident this issue could be resolved easily through a reply, but that was wrong. Tried Requesting Callback from App Reviw- no one called Asked for clarification via Ticket/Reply - only same copy-pasted answer citing guidelines Creating App Review Appeal Ticket Submitting new App Update Asking for extension of grace period - were told only App Review Team could do So for over 2 weeks we couldn't reach App Review Team and the grace period passed. Now our App got removed, we still don't know what's wrong / and its likely a mistake. Is there any direct phone number or email for the App Review Team? Also: I'd consider it as a somehow popular app. We had over 50m DLs and meaningful IAP Revenue.

No response after multiple appeals
I'm hoping someone here has been through a similar situation and can help. Our app was rejected under Guideline 4.3 (Design Spam), but I believe this is a misunderstanding. This app was previously approved under a different developer account — we had to resubmit under a new account due to an internal business restructuring. The app itself has not changed at all. Here's the timeline: May 24 — Filed an appeal May 26 — Filed another appeal Jun 4 — Filed another appeal Jun 7 (today) — Filed yet another appeal It has now been over 2 weeks since the first appeal with no response whatsoever. This is genuinely just a resubmission of an already-approved app due to a company account change — not an attempt to game the review process in any way. The situation is urgent as we have a launch scheduled for this week. Every day of delay is directly affecting our users and timeline. Has anyone experienced this? How did you get it resolved? Is there any way to escalate beyond the Resolution Center? Any advice would be

Anyone Noticed Inconsistent Exercise Time Tracking in watchOS 4 Beta ?
AllAnyone else noticing weird issues with time inconsistencies for exercises in watchOS beta 4.3 ? Specifically I have noticed that the Exercise time (recorded in each exercise) does not match the Exercise team now being shown on activity. An example. I setup a 30 minute per day exercise goal for testing and completed about 6 minutes of light exercise through the day. I then set a run workout and did 31+ minutes (which showed in the completed exercise summary screen after the run). Therefore at a minimum I would expect the 'you've closed your exercise ring' message and also in Activity see about 36 to 37+ minutes of total exercise............WRONG.At the end of the run as I mentioned above I see 31+ minutes. Go to Activity for the day (after allowing time to sync etc) and it shows 29 minutes ! Even on the watch after the workout it showed 29 minutes although the exercise summary there too showed the 31 minute run !Not sure what is going on but certainly only happened since the beta.Bug filed but wond
