Reply to 4.3.0 Design: Spam
See section 4.3 of the App Review Guidelines here: https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#spam Whether Apple believes you’re submitting a too-similar app with minimal changes, or maybe the app category is too overrun? Or shorter, whether this is case 4.3(a) or case 4.3(b)?

Rejected for 4.3(a) Spam -- Any help appreciated
Hey there, looking for advice. I am trying to figure out more details as to why my app is rejected. They say: 4.3 Spam (a)ASR & NR Don’t create multiple Bundle IDs of the same app. If your app has different versions for specific locations, sports teams, universities, etc., consider submitting a single app and provide the variations using in-app purchase. I know this is a unique app, I have spent several years developing it. When I got rejected the first time, I decided to spend time and re-design the interface such as removing my tab bar navigation structure and making it a hamburger re-designing the GUI to have a cleaner look etc -- even redesigning my login screen. Still rejected for 4.3(a) Spam. Our content is completely unique and I can't get anything else other than Hello, The issues we previously identified still need your attention. If you have any questions, we are here to help. Reply to this message in App Store Connect and let us know. Some examples of our old vs new. The new a

App Rejection 4.3 Spam
Greetings, We have been rejected in the review of our App for a code non-compliance with 4.3 Design guidelines. Our App appears to be similar to others, and indeed it is similar in functionality and appearance. The others that are similar have been developed by us as well, these being customisations that are specifically targeted at the companies or accounts we deal with. The truth is that we have gone through several reviews of the other Apps before when we submitted them for publication at the time. We know that there are other development companies that customise Apps for different brands and in these cases there has been no reason for rejection by the Apple Store. We are beginning to think that there may be certain factors that are directly influencing the rejection of this App: The mockups or screenshots we are using are similar to those of another App we have published with the same functionalities. The backgrounds of the App have a gem of colours similar to that of the other App. And now we wo

4.2.6 and 4.3 (again) and Enrolling Process
We have all noticed the big changes Apple has brought with the implementation of the 4.2.6 and 4.3 rules of ASRGs While I believe there is still a lot of stuff to be discussed, I would like to start a discussion regaarding the Enrolling process to Apple's Programs, the complexity of it and the problems it brings to non-technical, small businesses.Apple has decided more or less that it would benefit from having most apps from small businesses to have their own Developer Account and be enrolled to it's Apple programs. This is ok, it's a business decision, they believe that the cost for quality apps and reviews is too high and they found this way to overcome the issue. The real problem though, in my opinion is the difficulty of enrolling to their developer programs, the time it needs to, and the maintainance thereafter. Like many other businesses, we run a software house which built an advanced online ordering system for restaurants. We spent about 4 years in developing our platform and we strongly belie

App Store Review always got 4.3 for my apps
I created an app and submitted to app store for review and got a rejection with 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. This one was created for brand new, and I didn't find any similar apps in App store. I searched in this forum but am not sure if it is because I used flutter to build my app? How could I get a bit more specific detail why it got rejected? Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps. Next Steps Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality.

Unfair 4.3(a) Rejection - Update Blocked
Hi, Our latest update for Top Scorer 2 was rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) - Spam, despite previous versions being approved without issue. We have been developing this game since 2017, and it is an original creation with unique gameplay, AI, and physics. This update includes super important bug fixes and improvements critical for our user base, yet Apple claims it is too similar to other apps without specifying which ones or what exactly needs to change. Previous version with similar features and design, was successfully approved, we are improving resolutions, updating SDKs and enhancing security for our players, why would you reject it, leaving players with an older version of the game that lacks the vast array of improvements we've incorporated in the game. Has anyone faced a similar rejection? Any advice would be appreciated.

Rejected Due to 4.3(a) Design - Spam
Hello everyone, I updated a new version to fix bugs and add more levels, but Apple rejected it citing spam design 4.3(a). Everything in the game is created by my team, and we did not copy or imitate any other product. We discovered that a studio has unpacked our game and stolen all our images, sounds, and many other files, even the file names match ours. Our game was released over a month before theirs, while they just released their first version a week ago. Despite being the original version, our game was rejected for spam. Currently, our game is generating $10k daily in IAP and we are spending a lot on ads. We are in urgent need of updating the game. I’m really frustrated that this issue has not been resolved yet. I have submitted all the information and evidence to the Apple Review Board, but I haven’t received any response so far.

Rejected under Guideline 4.3(a) after legal doc request
Hi everyone, We’re a U.S.-registered company and just submitted our primary app for review. We tried to be proactive: our initial submission included very detailed Notes to the Reviewer to avoid back-and-forth. Despite that, our first rejection asked for items we had already covered in Notes. Within ~30 minutes we replied in the Resolution Center with expanded details. The app went back to review and about 90% of the concerns were resolved. After that, we could see from our logs that the reviewer actively tested the app and requested additional legal documentation. We provided everything promptly, but the next response was a rejection under Guideline 4.3(a) – Design – Spam. There was no additional explanation tying 4.3(a) to anything specific in our binary or metadata, and this guideline hasn’t come up for us before. Here’s what we already provided via the Resolution Center: Test credentials and clear steps to access all app areas Detailed terms and in-app disclosures Executed agreements wit

Removed due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hi, For 10 days now we've been rejected with no answer. I am afraid Apple will never answer us... and 3 years of development down the drain. My team and our whole families are waiting but as the days go by, it is looking more and more grim for us I am afraid. Is there anything we can do? Our game had a decent rating and audience reception so far. All of our code is built by us over thousands of hours. We have alot of features that competitors do not have, this was even mentioned by several Youtubers and called out as a unique game. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Any advice would be so appreciated ! Thank you, Alex

Repeated 4.3 Guideline Rejections After Compliance & Feature Updates
Hey everyone, We’ve been facing an ongoing issue with 4.3 spam guideline rejections, and I wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar or has advice. Initially, we got rejected under 4.3, but we complied by adding unique features that helped us pass. These included: ✅ Public tracking profiles ✅ Widgets for stats ✅ Background fetch for updates ✅ No login required After two successful updates, we pushed a third update focused on bug fixes—fixing iPad UI issues and notification improvements—but suddenly, we got rejected again for 4.3, without any clarification. We strongly believe this is a mistake because our app has distinct features not found in any other app. We’ve reached out to Apple for clarification but haven’t received a meaningful response. Has anyone else had a similar experience where a compliance fix worked initially, only to be rejected again later? Any advice on how to appeal this effectively? Would appreciate any insights! Thanks.

App rejection - Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
Hello, i have built an app in Unity, the first app I’ve attempted to submit to the App Store. It is a unique app that links to our web shop. Each time the submission is rejected due to “Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam” with some generic info: “We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.” Quite bizarre since this is the first time submitting the app! Nobody ever responds to emails to give further information, frustrating considering you pay £79 for this service…
