Team Id Changed / Old Team Id Automatically Signs
Good afternoon, I have the latest version of Xcode. I am trying to debug why I am not able to Sign in with Apple Sign In on my app. After days of trying everything I just noticed today that the TeamID Xcode is using to automatically sign the app is not my current Team Id. I had a years hiatus and my code login expired. When I recreated my account I got a new Team Id and that is what is on all my certificates, profiles, etc. Old team id: Z82SJZ64R6 Current team id: 22649D52Q5. I take off automatically signing and select my Mac app bistro and iOS app distro and the app fully builds then Xcode crashes with an error that mentions security - Error code 5. Is there a way for me to change the old team id in Xcode? I've already tried logging out and back in through settings.

Reply to Is Changing IOS version in package.swift file manually accepted?
Yes it's in Xcode playground
OK. This came up last year and the general consensus is that it’s fine to make this change in order to avoid all the availability ceremony. Note The reason I asked about whether you’re using Xcode is that Swift Playground still doesn’t support the iOS 26 SDK )-: See this post. I’d appreciate you filing a bug requesting that Xcode’s Swift playground support add a deployment target option. This limitation is an ongoing source of confusion for Swift Student Challenge participants )-: Please post your bug number, just for the record. What iPadOS version do evaluation devices run when submitted via Swift Playgrounds?
I'm working on my Swift Student Challenge 2026 submission and have a question about the evaluation environment. My app targets iOS 26 (I had to configure this on the Package.swift file directly) and uses the Speech framework for on-device speech recognition. I've selected Swift Playgrounds as my evaluation path (rather than Xcode) with the intention of having it run on a physical iPad rather than Simulator. My question: What version of iPadOS will the evaluation iPads be running? The reason I ask is practical, as my app's minimum deployment target is iOS 26. If the evaluation device is running an earlier version of iPadOS, the app won't launch at all. I've searched the eligibility and terms pages but couldn't find this documented anywhere.

Enhanced Security Capability < iOS 26
Hi, After enabling the new Enhanced Security capability in Xcode 26, I’m seeing install failures on devices running < iOS 26. Deployment target: iOS 15.0 Capability: Enhanced Security (added via Signing & Capabilities tab) Building to iOS 18 device error - Unable to Install ...Please ensure sure that your app is signed by a valid provisioning profile. It works fine on iOS 26 devices. I’d like to confirm Apple’s intent here: Is this capability formally supported only on iOS 26 and later, and therefore incompatible with earlier OS versions? Or should older systems ignore the entitlement, meaning this behavior might be a bug?

I want to highlight a couple of points in the releases notes for the software that we seeded yesterday: Xcode 26.4 Beta Release Notes documents new entitlements that allow your app to deploy back to pre-xyzOS 26 systems (search for 168185600 to find the info). iOS & iPadOS 26.4 Beta Release Notes document that hard mode is now an option (search for 160719439). I haven’t had a chance to play with this yet, but I encourage you to take it for a spin and lemme know how you get along. Hardware Memory Tag (MIE) enforcement outside of debugger
(Xcode 26.2, iPhone 17 Pro) I can't seem to get hardware tag checks to work in an app launched without the special Hardware Memory Tagging diagnostics. In other words, I have been unable to reproduce the crash example at 6:40 in Apple's video Secure your app with Memory Integrity Enforcement. When I write a heap overflow or a UAF, it is picked up perfectly provided I enable the Hardware Memory Tagging feature under Scheme Diagnostics. If I instead add the Enhanced Security capability with the memory-tagging related entitlements: I'm seeing distinct memory tags being assigned in pointers returned by malloc (without the capability, this is not the case) Tag mismatches are not being caught or enforced, regardless of soft mode The behaviour is the same whether I launch from Xcode without Hardware Memory Tagging, or if I launch the app by tapping it on launchpad. In case it was related to debug builds, I also tried creating an ad hoc IPA and it didn't make any difference. I realise there's a wrinkle here

NSPopupButton doesn't truncate - drawing outside its bounds
Since we started building our application on Tahoe, all NSPopupButtons in the UI stop truncating when the window they're in is moved to a different screen. Even though their frame is correct, if the selected item string is longer than what can fit, they just draw outside of their bounds, overlapping other neighbouring controls. This is reproducible only in our app target even though they are not subclassed or overridden in any way. The same window copied to a test app doesn't have the issue. Initially good After dragging to another screen Frame is correct in the View Hierarchy debugger, but the contents are incorrect. Very simple constraint setup, with content compression resistance set lower to allow resizing below the intrinsic content size. This is what happens on this simple test window. The rest of the popups in more complex windows are all bad right away, without requiring you to move them to a different screen. When built on Sequoia, all is well regardless of which OS the app is run o

App Groups container data on Apple Dev account transfer
I have an iOS app with App Groups. The app uses the CallKit extension for call block functionality. All data is stored in UserDefaults(suiteName:) and FileManager.default.containerURL(forSecurityApplicationGroupIdentifier: ). I am planning to transfer this app to a different Apple Developer account and would like to clarify how App Groups behave after the transfer: Will my main app Target and CallKit Extensions keep access to the same AppGroups containers with the new Team ID? I will recreate the same AppGroups container identifiers on a new account but my concern is about Team ID change, that can lead to loss access to original containers and all data from previous Team ID. I need to clearly understand whether the app can continue accessing the existing App Group container after the Team ID changes, or if I must manually back up data before transfer and restore all data after transfer completed. As long as the App Group still exists on the original developer account and the user has not updated the

Unable to detect Network Extension configuration change while pushing MDM profile
My team is developing an enterprise VPN application that needs to respond to Mobile Device Management (MDM) profile installations and removals in real-time. Our app uses the NetworkExtension framework and needs to update the UI immediately when VPN configurations are added or removed via MDM. We are currently observing NEVPNConfigurationChangeNotification to detect VPN configuration changes: While NEVPNConfigurationChangeNotification fires reliably when users manually remove VPN profiles through Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, it appears to have inconsistent behavior when MDM profiles containing VPN configurations are installed programmatically via MDM systems. STEPS TO REPRODUCE From MDM Admin Console: Deploy a new VPN profile to the test device On Device: Wait for MDM profile installation (usually silent, no user interaction required) Check Device Settings: Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management to confirm profile is installed Return to App: Check if th

Reply to Background execution window after CLBeaconRegion wake from terminated state
I am testing my iOS app on iOS 18. I performed 50 tests, and in 43–44 of them, the app successfully detects beacons, relaunches in the background, and continues BLE communication. However, in a few cases, beacon detection does not trigger, and the background BLE process fails. I want to understand why beacon triggers are inconsistent in iOS. What are the common reasons behind iOS not relaunching the app for beacon events, and what factors affect reliable BLE/background beacon detection?

About audio playback panel after call end.
Dear Apple Support Team, Thank you for your continued support. I would like to inquire about the behavior of CallKit. Our company provides an office PBX extension phone application (iPhone app). When the iPhone is placed into sleep mode (screen off) and our app receives an incoming call, the following sequence sometimes results in an audio playback panel appearing at the bottom of the lock screen for a few seconds after the call ends(See attachment file for detail). Sequence to reproduce the issue: Put the iPhone into sleep mode (screen off). Receive an incoming call to our extension phone app. CallKit incoming call screen appears. Answer the call. Conduct the call. End the call from the peer. iOS versions with confirmed behavior: iOS 26.0: Not observed. iOS 26.2: Observed. iOS 26.3: Not observed. This behavior does not affect the call functionality itself; however, some users report that the temporary appearance of the audio playback panel feels unusual. If there is any kn

Is Anybody interested in using Lottie animations in your SSC playground app in Xcode
Is anybody using Airbnb's Lottie-ios dependency inside your swift student challenge project? If yes can u please discuss about how did u approach using it ? Actually I wanted to use it so I downloaded the official repo maintained by Airbnb from GitHub but the package had too large size so I deleted many part's leaving just src files and some other files as it is and even modified it's package.swift file and finally deleted the .git folder which had been taking way too much space. And now I have been using it as local dependency which I can include it in my .zip submission ( as that's the rule I guess to include the packages our project depends on in our .zip submission file ). So far there have been no problems, I wanna know am I doing anything wrong here? Can someone advise me ?

Background Assets - Apple Hosted - iOS26
I've followed the setup process to get Apple Hosted Background Assets configured for my project. (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/backgroundassets/downloading-apple-hosted-asset-packs) But when I build and run the app I get the following error... BackgroundAssets/AssetPackManager.swift:174: Fatal error: The process lacks a team ID. I've checked the Signing->Team for both targets and they both have my Team associated. Any help or advice would be appreciated...
