Handling Keyboard Hotkeys and Shortcuts across Multiple Languages
We have a requirement to manage the shortcuts and hotkeys in our application, and have it to be intuitive and support multi-lingual fully. The understanding that we have currently is that most universal shortcuts and hotkeys on MacOS/iOS are expressed using English/Latin characters’ – and now, when a ‘pure foreign language physical or virtual keyboard’ is the ‘input device’ – we are unclear how the user would invoke such a hotkey. Now, considering cases where other language keyboards have no Latin characters, in these environments, managing shortcuts and hotkeys becomes a rather difficult task. Taking a very simple example, the shortcut for Printing a page is Command/Control + 'P'. This can be an issue on Non English character keyboards like Arabic, where not only are there no letters for P, there is also no equivalent phonetic character as well, since the language itself does not have it. Also – when we are wanting customizability of a hotkey by the user, how would the user express ‘which is the key combinat

Reply to iOS26 Bluetooth background
@Engineer Apple Thank you for your reply. Where can I find documentation about Bluetooth (BLE), especially documentation that describes the limitations on background processing? https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/NetworkingInternetWeb/Conceptual/CoreBluetooth_concepts/CoreBluetoothBackgroundProcessingForIOSApps/PerformingTasksWhileYourAppIsInTheBackground.html I have checked the document, but there is no information about the creation date, target OS, or limitations, so I would appreciate your help.

I’m desperate…
Hello everyone, I’ll be honest with you, the kind of honesty that comes when you’ve run out of places to turn. My name is Donovan, I’m a French student, and I’m writing here because at this point, I truly don’t know what else to do Two years ago, I started a small project to learn mobile development. Nothing ambitious at first just a personal exercise, a way to grow. But after countless late nights, weekends sacrificed, and lines of code no one will ever see… that small project became a real application. I finished it. Refined it. Carried it like something that genuinely mattered. And for the past two months, I’ve been fighting with App Review. Always for the same reason: Guideline 4.3(b) – Design – Spam. Each time, I respond. Each time, I explain. But each time, the door closes with the same cold, impersonal message: “We encourage you to reconsider your app concept and submit a new app that provides a unique experience not already found on the App Store.” Unique. Such an easy word to use… especially when no

Questions about SignificantAppChangeApprovalRequired and detecting significant app changes
#1) The docs for the significantAppChangeApprovalRequired option (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/declaredagerange/agerangeservice/parentalcontrols/significantappchangeapprovalrequired) are a bit unclear of the meaning. If this is set to true, does that mean (a) its an indication from Apple that the user is in a jurisdiction that requires approvals for significant app changes or (b) the App store has detected a significant app change and the app needs to use PermissionKit to re-obtain approval. #2) In section Sec.A121.053 of SB2420, it states The developer of a software application shall provide notice to each app store through which the developer makes the software application available before making any significant change... and there are several subsections that define what constitutes a signficant app change that include items like change of personal data stored, etc. How can developers notify the app store that a significant change has occurred and how can the app then query the app st

"Final reminder: Answer the updated age ratings questions." But there are no questions
I received the email from Apple entitled Final reminder: Answer the updated age ratings questions. However if I login to App Connect, or click on the link in the email to go directly to App Connect, there are no questions. There are 6 tabs/sections in App Connect, flicking through them, there are no questions about age ratings. Even if I could find these questions, if there are no apps actually released to the App Store (and no plans to release any) is answering these questions necessary? The Apple email sounds quite threatening in its tone, hinting at consequences if you don't comply, but I can't comply because no questions in App Connect are being presented.
