Apple developer PAID but NOT ACTIVE yet
Hi, I purchased the Apple Developer subscription yesterday and the payment has already been successfully processed. However, my account is still not showing as active. Given that the payment has been completed, I would expect the activation to be reflected by now. This delay is impacting my ability to proceed with development and deployment, so I need clarification on what is causing the issue. Please review my account status as soon as possible and let me know: • If there is any pending verification or required action on my end • The reason for the delay in activation • The expected timeframe for the subscription to become active I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you.

watchOS VoIP App: Incoming Calls?
Hello! I’m building a VoIP app for iPhone and Apple Watch using PushKit and CallKit. I’m trying to understand the recommended watchOS architecture for this kind of setup. What we would like is for the watch to behave as an endpoint for incoming calls, so that when a call comes in the user can answer on either the iPhone or the watch. My understanding is that VoIP notifications are not supported on watchOS, so for incoming calls what we ended up having to do was send the watch a regular APNs alert notification and only start the actual call setup after the user interacts with it. This isn’t ideal, and the notification often appears a few seconds late. What we would like to be able to do is present the incoming call on the watch more like how FaceTime calls appear on Apple Watch. So I wanted to ask whether this is the intended pattern for a companion watchOS VoIP app. Is using a regular APNs alert notification the correct way to surface an incoming call on the watch, or is there a better suppo

Thanks for the post. Why are you not allowed to mention any product name on your description? I reviewed this https://developer.apple.com/app-store/product-page/ Apple’s Trademark Guidelines: https://www.apple.com/legal/intellectual-property/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html Can you explain a little bit more about that limitation? HomeKit support on MacOS
I am currently developing an app for MacOS that needs to control HomeKit devices like lights. However, it seems like MacOS is supported on the official documentation, but not when I try to create an app ID on developer.apple.com. On the link https://developer.apple.com/apple-home/, MacOS is clearly showed as supported for MacOS. But when I try to create an app ID, it shows that it is only compatible for iOS, VisionOS and WatchOS. Could this be clarified? Best regards, orangeidle25

Reply to Does using HIDVirtualDevice rule out Mac App Store distribution?
Context for what we're trying to do: Apple has not implemented FIDO2 support over BLE, so we decided to try and make our own, following the framework we did for Linux. In short: create a virtual device with the HID descriptor of a FIDO device, receive data from browsers, etc., through the system with the HIDVirtualDeviceDelegate class, repackage these and communicate over BLE, receive an answer, repackage back to USB HID packets, and send back to the system with dispatchInputReport. Since this communication goes back and forth, we need to be able to both receive and post events. I assume this is how the PassKeez project I mentioned in the initial post could use it as well. This might be something Apple does not approve of, and that would be acceptable, but the rejection we got didn't seem to fit that sort of issue.

EASession(accessory:forProtocol:) always returns nil — MFI accessory iAP2
EASession(accessory:forProtocol:) always returns nil — MFI accessory iAP2 Platform: iOS 17+ | Hardware: Custom MFI-certified accessory (USB-C, iAP2) | Language: Swift Problem We have a custom MFI-certified accessory communicating over USB-C using ExternalAccessory. The app calls EASession(accessory:forProtocol:) after receiving EAAccessoryDidConnect but it always returns nil. We never get past session creation. What we have verified We captured a sysdiagnose on-device and analysed the accessoryd-packets log. The full iAP2 handshake completes successfully at the OS level: USB attach succeeds MFI auth certificate is present and Apple-issued Auth challenge and response complete successfully IdentificationInformation is accepted by iOS — protocol string and Team ID are correct EAAccessoryDidConnect fires as expected iOS sends StartExternalAccessoryProtocolSession — the OS-level session is established So the hardware, MFI auth, protocol string, and Team ID are all correct. Despite this, EASession(accessor

Does Review team have a right to demand video?
The review team started to demand me to make a video of my app: We still need a demo video that shows a physical Apple device and the designated hardware pairing together and interacting during the use of the app. Provide a demo video that shows: The current version of the app in use on a physical Apple device, not on a simulator The initial pairing process between the app and the designated hardware The entire app workflow with the designated hardware Film the demo video to show both the designated hardware and the app running on a physical Apple device. The app is an extremely simple 1-button utility that starts a workout and broadcasts heart rate over Bluetooth. I believe it's way too much. It's a complicated task to film Apple Watch on my hand while also managing hardware (My Mac Book) and somehow operating camera simultaneously. I wonder if I can submit an appeal or replace that reviewer somehow.

Reply to watchOS VoIP App: Incoming Calls?
Thank you for your post, I was very interested on your post as you are using a regular APNs alert notification for a VoIP calls I’m sure it does introduces delays and requires the user to tap a notification before the app can even begin setting up the call or you sending those notifications with the voice? Since watchOS 9, I believe that CallKit and PushKit support directly for Apple Watch. You can now build an experience that perfectly mimics native FaceTime or Phone calls, where the watch rings immediately with a full-screen incoming call UI. I believe your post talked about callkit. I’m more interested in how are you using that framework. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/callkit/voip-calling-with-callkit There is a WWDC 2016 talking about that platform https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/230/ There are many watchOS experts here, so if you get into any troubles using that framework, they'll be able to help you better. Custom Pricing and Features for Non-Renewing Subscriptions
I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to inquire about a few aspects of implementing non-renewing subscriptions in our app. Firstly, we have encountered a limitation in App Store Connect where the maximum price tier available for non-renewing subscriptions in Euros is €1199. However, our product is priced at €1799. Could anyone please advise how we can handle this scenario? Is there a way to request custom pricing beyond the available tiers, or is there an alternative approach you would recommend? Additionally, we would like clarification on the following: Promo Codes: Are promo codes supported for each non-renewing subscription product? If so, how can we configure and distribute them? Installment Payments: Is it possible to enable installment-based payments for non-renewing subscriptions? If yes, could you guide us on how to set this up or if there are any prerequisites?

App Store description for iCloud
Hi, A few of my apps will be able to sync with iCloud. So I do realize that we're not allowed to mention any Apple-related names in our app descriptions. Looking for ideas on how to state that the app works with iCloud without saying iCloud. Thanks, Dan Uff

Reply to Xcode now hangs; SDKs are "status unavailable"
My Mac Mini crashed and restarted, and the SDKs are all broken again. I am going to have to spend another hour with SIP etc to get this working. Can Apple acknowledge this is a real issue they are working on resolving please? It's an intolerable situation.
