build failure due to certificates not matching
i am creating a app on appmysite while it runs its build test an error message pops up saying build failed. it seems your app build has encountered an issue. the certificate used to generate the uploaded provisioning profile does not match the uploaded certificate. I understand why its saying it because the uploaded certificate had to be uploaded as .p12. The certificate in the provisioning profile is made of .cert. I am using a apple mac book and a xenovo windows computer. Im simply trying to figure out how to put the .p12 certificate into the provisioning profile? whenever i go to my developer account and try to create a new provisioning account with the new .p12 certificate. The only options that pop up for me to select are only the certificates that are in .cert form. I've tried exporting through key access and they show up in my files but no way to transfer to my developer account to combine it with a provisioning account. Any help is greatly appreciated, this is literally the only thing keeping

Reply to NSFileSandboxingRequestRelatedItemExtension: Failed to issue extension
I have a SwiftUI app that opens a user-selected audio file (wave). For each audio file, an additional file exists containing events that were extracted from the audio file. This additional file has the same filename and uses the extension bcCalls. I load the audio file using FileImporter view modifier and then access the audio file with a security-scoped bookmark. That works well. To clarify here, do you mean that you’re able to access both the directly selected file and its related sidecar? Or just that you're able to access the direct file? After loading the audio, I create a CallsSidecar NSFilePresenter with the URL of the audio file. I make the presenter known to the NSFileCoordinator and then add it to the FileCoordinator. This fails with NSFileSandboxingRequestRelatedItemExtension: Failed to issue extension for; Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=3 No such process Is the failure here about opening an existing file or about writing a new fi

preorderDate no longer being returned
My app is in the final stages of testing for release in two days. We did a preorder campaign, and implemented a preorder bonus by checking the preorderDate field returned from the verification result returned by the AppTransaction.shared. This worked well at the time of implementation and initial testing. Now, our QA team is reporting that the preorder bonus is not popping up for them, and we have confirmed it on the developer side that the StoreKit back end is no longer returning a valid preorderDate even though the app is clearly preordered when you check it on the app store. The developer accounts are in the US and App Store Connect clearly shows the US status as preorder. Are there any circumstances where preorderDate might be nil even if the user's app store shows preorder? Any other way we can proceed here? We can message our users that we are going to have to delay a preorder bonus on iOS, but eventually we need to get to a solution that doesn't involve us entering in all our iOS preorders by

Reply to Notarization taking 3.5–4.5 hours for large macOS apps — is this expected?
Notarising very large products can take a while. I usually advise folks to approach this in two steps. The first step is to separate upload time from notarisation time. This is relatively straightforward: Use notarytool, without the --wait option, to upload your product. Make a note of when that finishes. Wait for the notarisation to complete. Compare the upload time to the overall notarisation time. I regularly see situations where the upload time dominates the notarisation time. If that’s the case then there’s a different path to follow. However, in this case it sounds like you’ve already done this test and determined that the bulk of the delay is after the upload. Given that, there’s a couple of things to do. The first is to file a bug against the notary service. I’ve seen cases where there’s something specific about the product that’s causing the notary service to enter a pathological state. In your bug report, make sure to include: A request UUID showing the problem. The evidence you have confir

Voice Control evaluation questions: "Stop Recording" command failure & Item numbers on non-interactive web elements
Hello everyone, I am currently evaluating my app's accessibility features to accurately display the Accessibility information on the App Store. I have encountered two specific issues regarding Voice Control testing and would appreciate any guidance. Voice Command for Stop Recording According to the evaluation criteria, if an app supports audio recording or dictation, users must be able to start and stop recording using only their voice. Behavior: I can successfully trigger the recording using the command Start Recording. However, I cannot find a command to stop it. Commands like Stop Recording or Stop are not recognized by the system. Question: Is there a specific standard voice command intended for stopping a recording? Item Number Overlays on Non-Interactive Web Elements (WKWebView) I noticed an inconsistency between native views and web content regarding Voice Control item numbering. Behavior: When testing web content within the app (WKWebView) or in Safari, Voice Control displays item number over

Request for Clarification on Repeated App Review Rejections – Kids Category
Hello App Review Team, I am writing to seek clarification regarding repeated review feedback received via App Store Connect (Resolution Center) for my app: App Name: Animal Sounds & Insects 90+ App ID: 6741077718 Team ID: 24MTF8NJ6Q Over the past two weeks, this app update has remained in review with multiple rejections referencing similar concerns, despite detailed responses and clarifications already provided in the Resolution Center. Unfortunately, I have not received follow-up responses or specific guidance there, which has prevented me from releasing even a minor update. To ensure clarity and avoid further delays, I am summarizing the key points below. Parental Gate (Guideline 1.3 – Kids Category) The review feedback indicates that the app may include links, commerce, or ad interactions without parental permission. I would like to clarify that the app implements a mandatory, non-dismissible parental gate, which is required before: Opening any external links Engaging in any form of commerce,

How to hide the NFC reading pop-up prompt?
Dear Apple Engineers, I am using NFCNDEFReaderSession to read information from NFC tags. When calling the begin method of the session, a system dialog/popover appears at the bottom of the screen. Is it possible to suppress or disable this dialog? Thank you for your assistance. Here is my demo code: @IBAction func beginScanning(_ sender: Any) { guard NFCNDEFReaderSession.readingAvailable else { let alertController = UIAlertController( title: Scanning Not Supported, message: This device doesn't support tag scanning., preferredStyle: .alert ) alertController.addAction(UIAlertAction(title: OK, style: .default, handler: nil)) self.present(alertController, animated: true, completion: nil) return } session = NFCNDEFReaderSession(delegate: self, queue: nil, invalidateAfterFirstRead: true) session?.alertMessage = Hold your iPhone near the item to learn more about it. session?.begin() }

Reply to Create ML fails to train a text classifier using the BERT transfer learning algorithm
We tried your macOS/Xcode but still can't reproduce your error, unfortunately. Okay, well thanks for trying. You'd just need to set language: nil to get the behavior of latin/automatic. But then how would I select the CJK/Automatic or Cyrillic/Automatic options? As far as I can tell, the CreateML framework doesn't distinguish between language and language family, so it's unclear how the Create ML app is able to make this distinction or what the distinction actually means. From the WWDC video I linked to previously, it sounds like there is one model per language family, which would mean there's essentially no difference between choosing Latin/Automatic and Latin/English, or CJK/Automatic and CJK/Japanese. Can you clarify what the difference it? Possible theories include: The language selector menu is just there to reassure users that they made the right choice of family, but it makes no difference under the hood. Picking a specific language changes how the data is tokenized before training. There are

Is there any way to deregister the NEHotspotHelper whenever we need. What do you mean deregister? logoff(_:) disconnects you from the specified network, which is why it can return false, but it doesn't sound like thats what you mean. __ Kevin Elliott DTS Engineer, CoreOS/Hardware

Reply to application(_:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:) not called on MDM iPads after overnight idle — app resumes without cold start
The challenge we are facing is that certain functionality does not behave correctly when the app resumes the next day without a normal cold start. The primary issue is with the SLM (Sound Level Meter) framework, which relies on audio sessions. In these resumed states, the audio session is not always reinitialized cleanly, causing our calibration process to fail and leading to the core issue we observed. If you haven't already, this sounds like something worth filing a bug about. Have you, and if so, what's the bug number? More recently, we encountered a case where we did not even receive the applicationDidEnterBackground callback. We extended the same force-exit handling to cover this scenario as well. Do you have any more information/context about this case? There are cases where apps aren't formally put into the background (for example, I believe swiping control center down will trigger applicationWillResignActive but NOT applicationDidEnterBackground), but all of these c

Can the App Clip card be prevented from popping up when the host app is in the foreground?

I want to prevent the App Clip card from popping up when the host app is in the foreground; how can this be achieved?
