MacOS installer appears rejected after successful notarization
Hi! I am encountering an issue with the notarization process. I'll leave here the outputs of a few command that I think might be useful. user@AndreisMac % pkgutil --check-signature mypkg.pkg Package mypkg.pkg: Status: signed by a developer certificate issued by Apple for distribution Notarization: trusted by the Apple notary service Signed with a trusted timestamp on: 2026-02-18 18:46:16 +0000 Certificate Chain: ... user@AndreisMac % spctl -a -vv --type install mypkg.pkg mypkg.pkg: rejected origin=Developer ID Installer: MyComp LLC (ABCD) user@AndreisMac % xcrun notarytool submit mypkg.pkg --keychain-profile notary-profile --wait Conducting pre-submission checks for mypkg.pkg and initiating connection to the Apple notary service... Reply to Persistent Tokens for Keychain Unlock in Platform SSO
is it possible on the macOS login window?
That depends on what you mean by “it”: If you’re asking whether it’s possible to reuse infrastructure used by Platform SSO then the answer is “No.” If you’re asking whether it’s possible to create an authorisation plug-in that presents a completely passwordless experience, the answer is more nuanced. You can certainly make a lot of progress, but I don’t think there’s a complete solution. Sticking points involve FileVault, as I’ve mentioned above, and unlocking the keychain. This is especially problematic when it comes to the data protection keychain. Honestly, I don’t see a good path forward for this. The authorisation plug-in mechanism has significant issues, and I’m doubtful they’ll be addressed because of limitations in that architecture. Specifically, FileVault support is pretty critical and it’s hard to see how that can happen within the current design.

Reply to Announcing the Swift Student Challenge 2026
What are the consequences of using Xcode15?
There are a couple that spring to mind: Xcode 15 doesn’t include the iOS 26 SDK, so you won’t be able to use the latest iOS features. You won’t be able to test your submission properly, because it will ultimately be reviewed on Xcode 26. While Xcode is generally good about working with projects from older versions, the only way to be sure that it’ll work is to try it. Reply to App Store Connect API ProfileCreateRequest is missing template property
I’m not an expert on the App Store Connect API, but I can speak to this part of your question:
there is a possibility to set Entitlements, which is I understand also called as Template.
The entitlement template feature is very much an old school path. These days most access to managed entitlements is via additional capabilities. Like any other capability, you set these on your App ID and they flow through to every provisioning profile [1] you create for that App ID. These capabilities have a bunch of advantages, including Xcode integration, compatibility with automatic signing, and the ability to add any combination of the capabilities to a given profile. Given that, the template mechanism is largely deprecated. If you have existing templates you can request that they be migrated to additional capabilities. See Developer Account Help > Reference > Provisioning with capabilities > Migrating additional entitlements to capabilities. T

Reply to Notarization Stuck
You can expect that most uploads will be notarised quickly. Occasionally, some uploads are held for in-depth analysis and may take longer to complete. As you notarise your apps, the system will learn how to recognise them, and you should see fewer delays. For lots of additional info about notarisation, see Notarisation Resources. Specifically, it links to a Q&A with the notary service team that’s quite instructive. Reply to Timed-Wait for main thread
Whereas, with conditional variables, there are no warnings.
I wouldn’t read too much into that. These warnings have to be explicitly coded, and we added that code for Dispatch semaphores because that’s the most common offender here. It wouldn’t surprise me if we added a similar warning for pthread condition variables at some point in the future. Then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t. The pthreads API is relatively obscure.
What is the recommend way?
There isn’t a supported way to block the main thread of a GUI application for long periods of time. On macOS it will SPOD, which is a terrible user experience. On other platforms the app will likely end up being killed by the watchdog. And to be clear, the issue here isn’t about the specific APIs you’re using, it’s this overall design. Speaking of iOS and friends, app termination [1] behaves very differently

Enrollment Completed on iPhone but Web Shows “Complete Your Purchase” and Status Pending
Hello Apple Developer Support Team, I completed my Apple Developer Program enrollment directly through the Developer app on my iPhone. The identity verification and payment were successfully processed. However, when I log in via the web, I still see the message “Complete Your Purchase,” and my enrollment status appears as Pending. The system seems to be asking me to proceed with enrollment again, even though the process was already completed on my iPhone. Could you please review my account and clarify the current status of my enrollment? Thank you for your assistance. Kind regards

Request Guidance on Apple Pay Web Push Provisioning Enablement for Issuer Program Post Content:
We are currently supporting an Apple Pay-enabled card program as an issuer/issuer processor and have successfully completed In-App Push Provisioning integration within our iOS application. The in-app flow is fully operational, including issuer-side cryptographic exchange and Mastercard MDES network tokenization. We are now looking to extend this integration to support Apple Pay Web Push Provisioning, allowing cardholders to add eligible cards to Apple Wallet directly from our web application. We would appreciate guidance on: -The process for enrolling in Apple Business Register (if required) -Enabling Web Push Provisioning for an issuer profile Required entitlements or provisioning certificates Any additional onboarding steps specific to issuer-level Web provisioning We understand that Web Push Provisioning requires issuer-level enablement beyond standard Apple Pay on the Web, and we would like clarification on the correct path to activate this capability. Thank yo

Developer Program enrollment still pending after payment
Hi everyone, I subscribed to the Apple Developer Program on Tuesday evening, February 15th, 2026. The payment has already been charged to my bank account, but my account still shows the status “Pending” with the message “Subscribe your membership”. It’s now been several days, and I haven’t received any confirmation email or any request for additional information. I already contacted Apple Support by email/phone without any response, but I’d like to know if other developers have experienced the same situation and how long it took before their account was activated. My Enrollment ID D72NJHL7JM Thank you, Rakan

Organization enrollment stuck, no response since Feb 6
I’m enrolling a small studio (EU, Slovakia) and the portal has been stuck on “Your enrollment is being processed”. I’m currently blocked from shipping builds via App Store Connect, and the lack of any accept/reject decision is starting to impact day-to-day work and planning. If an Apple Staff member can’t review the case details here, could you please route this to the enrollment verification team so they can provide a clear accept/reject decision on the passport photos already uploaded? Actions completed: Feb 3: Uploaded passport photos via the secure upload link following the requested photo requirements. Feb 6: Replied from the correct Apple Account email as instructed. Since Feb 6 there has been no confirmation whether the passport photos are accepted or rejected, and no next-step owner. I also submitted two separate support requests in the portal (email-only, no phone/chat option shown) and received no response. Request: Please confirm whether the passport photos are accepted or rejecte

Account security and passkeys
Could you tell me about account security and passkeys? Our service is considering implementing passkeys, and these questions are to understand how Apple protects accounts from third parties. ① Apple website states that two-factor authentication is mandatory for newly created Apple Accounts. When did this requirement come into effect? What are the conditions for users who do not have two-factor authentication enabled? ② Apple website mentions that a verification code may be required when signing into an Apple Account from a new device or browser. Is my understanding of the situations where a verification code is requested accurate, as listed below? Are there any other situations? Completely signing out of the Apple Account on that device. Erasing the device. Needing to change the password for security reasons. ③ If a user is already using a passkey on an Apple device, and then upgrades to a new device, will additional authentication, such as enteri

Need help! Kids Category issue
Title: App stuck in Kids Category review loop — never intentionally published as Kids Our education app has been on the App Store since 2020 under the Education category. We recently submitted an update and it keeps getting rejected under Guideline 1.3 - Kids Category. The problem: we have never intentionally published our app under the Kids Category. Our current App Store Connect configuration is: Age Categories and Override: Not Applicable Calculated Age Rating: 4+ Primary Category: Education Secondary Category: Games No Made for Kids designation is selected anywhere. Here is the timeline: Feb 13: Rejected — You have selected the Kids Category for your app — asked us to add parental gates for links, purchases, etc. Feb 18: Rejected again — Your app does not appear to be designed for kids aged 11 and under — told us to resubmit without Kids Category designation. We replied with screenshots showing Not Applicable is selected and asked what else needs to change. Feb 19: Rejected again — Your app was previously
