How to show screen skipped by ADE SkipKeys
Hi, I might be a bit late to the party, but Apple has added several SkipKeys such as: TapToSetup and SafetyAndHandling. I want to make sure that the keys is working properly, so I want to do the before-after comparison, however I just can't seem to show pages related to those keys. Just for information, I'm based in Japan and I've been using iPhone pro 16 and M2 iPad Pro for the testing. I believe that TapToSetup is apple tv-related, so I've tried various things such as having it in a same network or using the same apple account both in Apple TV and the iPhone/iPad but I can't get it to show. Any ideas?

TapGesture stops responding on ViewAttachmentComponent after disabling or removing and re-adding the Entity (visionOS 26)
Issue When an Entity with a ViewAttachmentComponent is: disabled using isEnabled = false removed using removeFromParent() and then enabled or added back again, the attached SwiftUI view is rendered correctly, but tap interactions stop working. Specifically: Button actions inside the attached view do not fire TapGesture closures on child views do not respond Expected Behavior Tap interactions inside the attached view should continue to work after the Entity is re-enabled or re-added. Actual Behavior After being disabled or removed once, all tap interactions stop responding. Comparison When displaying the same SwiftUI view using RealityViewAttachments, this issue does not occur. Removing and re-displaying the attachment still allows taps to work correctly. Reproduction Attached sample code reproduces the issue: A RealityView with an Entity that has a ViewAttachmentComponent The attached SwiftUI view contains a Toggle The toggle updates isEnabled on the Entity After toggling off and on, tap interactions stop res

macOS Tahoe: IPMonitor incorrectly re-ranks interfaces causing VPN DNS leaks
Description Enterprise users are experiencing VPN resource access failures after upgrading to macOS Tahoe. Investigation indicates that configd (specifically IPMonitor) is incorrectly re-ranking network interfaces after a connectivity failure with probe server. This results in DNS queries routing through the physical network adapter (en0) instead of the VPN virtual adapter, even while the tunnel is active. This behaviour is not seen in previous macOS versions. Steps to Reproduce: Connect to an enterprise VPN (e.g., Ivanti Secure Access). Trigger a transient network condition where the Apple probe server is unreachable. For example make the DNS server down for 30 sec. Observe the system routing DNS queries for internal resources to the physical adapter. Expected Results The: VPN virtual interface should maintain its primary rank for enterprise DNS queries regardless of the physical adapter's probe status. Actual Results: IPMonitor detects an UplinkIssue, deprioritizes the VPN interface, and elevates the physic

Reply to notarytool is giving me HTTP status error
Thanks for your post. When you encounter a 403 error indicating that a required agreement is missing or has expired during the notarization process with , it can sometimes be a bit misleading or confusing as to exactly which agreement needs attention. You said on your post you already agreed to one. I would suggest to go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Sometimes, agreements related to the Apple Developer Program are separate from those shown in Xcode. Additionally, visit developer.apple.com, sign in, and check for any pending legal agreements that might need signing. Look through recent emails from Apple, especially those from or , for any requests to review or agree to new terms. In Xcode, go to , sign out of your Apple ID, and then sign back in. Also, consider signing out of your Apple ID on your Mac via (or ) and signing back in. Ensure you're using the latest version of Xcode and that all command line tools are updated. Run to ensure you have the latest tools. After completin

Reply to Setting alternate app icon fails with "Ressource temporarily not available"
I've encountered this exact same problem. I follow this guide to a tee: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/configuring-your-app-to-use-alternate-app-icons And yet I am consistently hit with: Failed: Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=35 Resource temporarily unavailable UserInfo={_LSFile=LSIconAlertManager.m, _LSLine=113, _LSFunction=-[LSIconAlertManager iconChangeAlertTokenForIdentity:error:]} My app targets iPads and iPhones, has a minimum version for iOS of 18, and I am not using a simulator, I am running on my own device (iPhone 17 on iOS 26.2). This has been driving me insane. The example project Apple provides works, so I cannot see what possibly could be different.

Reply to Tahoe 26.2 breaks printing with PaperCut
The sandbox-relaxed mode works up to 26.1 and stopped working in 26.2. So, with a bit more digging, I was able to figure out what's going on here. Basically, as part of a security fix (r.157744252) in macOS 26.2, CUPS was changed to use a fixed configuration, by its config file (/etc/cups/cups-files.conf). That's actually what explains this: As an alternative to the relaxed mode, we also tried Sandboxing off, but that doesn't help either (from CUPS scheduler/conf.h). ...as CUPS was actually always running at CUPSD_SANDBOXING_STRICT, regardless of how you configured it. Is there anything we can configure or modify in the system to achieve the old behaviour of sandbox-relaxed mode? If for some reason, we can’t get back to the previous sandbox-relaxed behaviour, is there a way for us to switch off the sandbox? No, I don't think so. The core problem here is that the sandbox configuration itself hasn't actually changed; cupsd is just ignoring any configuration file. I think you can see this directly if yo

App Review 5.2.1 Ownership Rejection — Product Name vs Legal Entity Confusion (Advice Needed)
Hi everyone, I’m running into repeated App Store rejections under Guideline 5.2.1 (Ownership) and would appreciate advice from anyone who’s navigated this successfully. Context: • The app is called FitQuest: AI Health Coach • FitQuest is a product/brand name, not a legal entity • The legal owner and operator is PandeyInvestment LLC • The Apple Developer account is under PandeyInvestment LLC • There are no third-party brand affiliations or white-label use • The app was built using a third-party app builder (web-to-native wrapper) What I’ve already provided to App Review: • Official LLC formation documents • A signed ownership & authorization letter explicitly stating: • FitQuest is a product owned by PandeyInvestment LLC • PandeyInvestment LLC is solely responsible for the app, services, and data • Clear explanations in Resolution Center replies Despite this, Apple continues to respond that the app “appears to be created from an app generation service and not directly submitted by the owner/provid

@MegaWatt Feel free to reply with focused sample code that runs without any external dependencies, unless absolutely necessary for the issue to be replicated, and I can take a look if something fishy is going on 🎣🔍💭. Please note which iOS and Xcode version is used, thank you.  Travis Trotto - DTS Engineer

Trouble enrolling and reaching the dev team
I've been trying to enroll as a developer but keep running into an unknown error. I've even tried having the dev team call me and sending an email through the support portal but keep getting the message that my request cannot be processed. Even calling apple support didn't work as they were unable to connect me with the dev team. Any idea on how to get this sorted? Thank you!!

Multi-machine Code Signing
I have two Macs, desktop and laptop. Since they both belong to me, they both sign in with the same Apple account. I find that if I sign and notarize an app on one, the other must be powered off. Otherwise, notarization will fail. Is this intentional? If so, what is the rationale? Is there a way to fix or avoid it? Both systems run macOS Tahoe with the latest updates. Both are set up the same way for signing using the same certificates. The build process is identical on each.

Making sure uploads continue in background, but also works in foreground
Hello! I have read most of the Background Tasks Resources here https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/707503 - but still have a few questions that I need clarified. To provide our context, our usecase is that our user wants to upload files to our servers. This is an active decision by the user to initiate the upload, but we also want make sure the files are uploaded, even if the user chooses to background our app. If we use a URLSession.backgroundto initiate the uploadTask, I understand that we are passing it of to the urlsession deamon to handle the upload. Which is great, if the user chooses to background our app. But, what if they just stay with the app in the foreground? Will it start uploading immediately? Can we expect the same latency that a standard URLSession will provide? And the potential delay will only occur if they actually background our app. Also, what happens if a background upload is in-progress and the user enters our app again? Will it gain priority, and run with similar latenc

Reply to Sporadic "no route to host" over ssh
It’s better to reply as a reply, rather than in the comments; see Quinn’s Top Ten DevForums Tips for this and other titbits. Regarding this: it doesn't seem to be an issue with DenyMulticast I don’t think multicast is a factor here, either for good or for ill. iOS has additional restrictions around multicast, but those do not apply on macOS. this command always works for any user When run how? From Terminal? If so, that’s not the evidence that you think it is. Quoting TN3179: macOS automatically allows local network access by: Any daemon started by launchd Any program running as root Command-line tools run from Terminal or over SSH, including any child processes they spawn Based on the info you’ve provided so far, it really does sound you’re bumping into local network privacy issues. This is complicated by the fact that Unix-y programs tend to do things that confuse local network privacy, for example: Common Unix-y techniques, like calling daemon man page, can break responsible code

Reply to XProtect makes app hang when running an AppleScript
the problem is that this behavior appeared without documentation.
Understood. Unfortunately such is the nature of bugs. If we’d known about the developer impact of this change, we wouldn’t have shipped it. Or, if we had to ship it anyway, we would’ve called it out in the release notes. Usually we’re able to flush out problems like this during the beta seed process, but this case is tricky because it seems to be triggered by the combination of macOS and XProtect changes )-:
If the platform requirement is that the first AppleScript runs on the main thread
I think you’ve misunderstood my previous posts. I’m not claiming that this is a change in “platform requirement”. IMO this is a bug that we should fix on our side. My suggestion to prime XProtect by running a dummy AppleScript from the main thread is a
