I m unable to connect CarPlay to Mercedes GLC 2024 with Apple 15PMX. Made all recommendations by Apple, renew the car's sw too. It didn't work despite I tried many times. Funny that my iPhone 11 connects flawlessly both with cord or wireless. However my iPhone 15PMX does connect to any other cars too either with cable or wireless. Is it a bug or a really inability?

Hi there; Apple CarPlay has some issues after updating IOS18. Initially when updated to 18.01 Carplay Maps stopped responding, cannot Mute or unmute voice, cursor doesn’t allow, cannot navigate. After updating it to 18.1 maps still continue to behave unresponsive. 18.1 has also affected other application response. This is dangerous given CarPlay stops responding during driving. I am driving an Acura MDX.

Hello, I have a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ with the Bose system. Ever since I updated to ios 18.1 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max Carplay no longer works. The truck will connect no problem to the phone but the Carplay will not start. I have tried restarting the phone and every other trick. The option for apple car play has totally disappeared from the bluetooth menu (when opening the "i" menu). Please help or release an update to help. Thank you.

I have a 2010 F-150 with an Alpine iLX-F509 receiver using CarPlay. Intermittently, and currently, the GPS shows me traveling in the opposite direction that I'm heading which makes the directions completely useless. Happens regardless of wired or wireless connection. Once I unplug from the USB or disconnect from Bluetooth, the map and directions in my iPhone 13 work normally. When plugging back in, even if I've removed the car from CarPlay and reinstall it, the problem comes back. This seems to be a problem with communication between my phone and my truck GPS. Is this a software problem with CarPlay or with the Alpine system? The firmware on the Alpine is current. Could this possibly be a problem with compatibility or my GPS antenna? I do not seem to be having the same issue with my wife's 2020 CR-V. All other features of CarPlay seem to be working fine. It's just the map and the GPS. Doesn't matter which map I use either (Apple, Google).

Hello, two months ago, I got a 2024 Volkswagen ID.4. At first, there was a free trial of a hotspot through Verizon. It was fine, but I'd rather use my phone's cellular data. Not long after that, I installed the iOS 18.1 beta. That's when I noticed that my phone was offline when connected to CarPlay. I have my maps downloaded, and much of my music and podcasts are configured to download locally to my phone, so I'm not sure exactly when it began. I've exhausted the settings I can think of on my phone and my car's infotainment settings. I've tried: Resetting Network settings on my phone Confirming that Wifi Assist is enabled Re-pairing my phone with my car Turning off my car's Wifi Hotspot setting turns turns off wireless CarPlay. When I try to re-connect to CarPlay, I get a notification that it must be on to connect wirelessly. Turning cellular data off and on None have helped yet. Any ideas?

I am frequently a passenger in the car but we use my phone for CarPlay. Before the latest update, I could still use my phone to send messages, review transcript of voicemail messages and read/send message on Slack while being connected to CarPlay. However, now am unable to do so. The entire car has to listen to my text message exchange or my work slack messages. I have gone through just about every setting/function in my phone trying to figure out how to get functionality back in my iPhone while being connected to CarPlay but I can't find anything that has worked. I have tried removing my car from CarPlay and reconnecting it but that did not work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello community, I'm an iOS developer from VW group, I was doing some proof of concepts around an automaker app, and I've found a big blocker. When I was trying to summon a keyboard, it wasn't displayed. So is it even possible? Do I have to do some workaround with Carplay templates in order to be able to have the native keyboard from Carplay, or is there a special component that I need to introduce in my code to summon the keyboard? My Iphone is connected to the car via wireless carplay. Technically, the onboarding works via bluetooth, then via the car's hotspot (SSID from the car). I have noticed that an SSID appears under the "known networks" that has no name. The SSID can no longer be deleted, not even with a network reset on the Iphone. I asked my car dealer if he could reproduce the problem with his Iphone and another car. And he can! So it's not my device, it's an Apple problem. To be precise: The fact that you can no longer delete the SSID is Apple's problem, why the car stores an SSID without a name on the Iphone when connecting is possibly the problem of the car manufacturer. Here are a few more screens on this case.

Upgraded to iPhone16 with iOS18. Now Apple CarPlay does not work with my 2019 Kia Niro EV. Tried some workarounds suggested on other panels but no joy. Airplay icon shows up on menu screen but is grayed out.
