Updated to Big Sur a few days ago - now text keeps disappearing from my Word documents and emails, like whole paragraphs - if you hover over the text, it reappears and then disappears, infuriating mess!

I have upgraded to the latest version of Big Sur and I cannot get any printer to work. I've installed drivers, deleted drivers, deleted and reinstalled printers...nothing is working. This only started happening when I upgraded.

Hey guys, I have to show a very specific error message to the Big Sur users. I see the discrimination on the OS version. #1. From the browser, inspect element from the developer tools > console tab> window.navigator appVersion: 5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10156) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) #2. Click on the About this mac (top left corner) it shows the version as 11.0.1 I just wanted to know how to detect Big Sur from Javascript. I upgraded to Big Sur. Now when using Mail and I click on the small arrow icon that signifies that I replied to an email in my inbox, the message I sent in reply does not open as it has in the past. How do I find my reply messages now?

My mac won't install big sur (I thought it would have updated auto a long time ago) and it says it doesn't have enough storage, but it really should because there's not much on my computer. I don't have time machine turned on. What should I do?

Email does not work correclty. When trying to reply from Inbox, it goes to drafts and does not open for replying from there either. Aslo Search does not work. i just today installed Big Sur!

Can someone who knows explain the usefullness of the auto unmount of system volumes feature that I have seen in Big Sur beta 1 +2? And How can you unmount root? Cached? It even unmounts my mojave and catalina boot partitions. I have noticed this in disk utility. A bug?

Hello, Since the upgrade to Big Sur, I noticed network issues, regardless which network device is used Wi-Fi, LAN, it does not matter. After some testing the issue is now reproducible as follows: Mount a samba share and copy a file to it, in my case it was PDF file with size of approx. 1.6 MB The copy process does not finish and any samba share is no longer accessible Furthermore DNS resolution no longer works: e.g. executing dig apple.com no longer works, opening any website in any browser just times out, etc. Strangely enough ping apple.com works (...?) I updated my 2017 MacBook Air to Big Sur and literally everything is lagging. Gotta love trying to finish off this online semester when my computer is 3 seconds behind my mouse movements. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hello, after upgrading to Big Sur, I've started encountering different problems with Excel, a couple of examples: CSV: When I opened before a simple csv file, I used to see immediately the data splitted in different columns, now this is not happening anymore, I just see everything in one row. FORUMLA: I'm working on the same file I was working before the update, and I'm not able to create any new formula, as I keep getting a VALUE error. Is not about formatting, I've also sent the file to a collague and everything works perfectly on her Windows environment. Has anyone faced similar problems? Thanks in advance, Davide

Hi, I can't use OpenAl on macOS Big Sur on Apple Developer Transition Kit in my app compiled for Apple Silicon. Just silence. It's a bug? Or OpenAl support is removed from Big Sur on ARM?

The BSD network call: getifaddrs() returns an IPV4 address for the WiFi network connection on Catalina and iOS 13, but appears to return only IPV6 addresses on Big Sur and iOS 14. Is this intended behavior? If so, where is this documented?

What version of Xcode runs on Big Sur?

I've downloaded Big Sur. Everything seems to start up fine. I've shut and restarted several times. Each time I need to attach file or upload a photo, my Mac just shows the spinning wheel of death . After a while it goes to my files and then i need to choose location and again it waits. try to scroll down and there is about a 5 minute lag . finally get to photo or file and click to open and/or choose. Then again ...spinning wheel....it takes forever to load up. I have cleaned up files, reorganized files, optimized storage done all the other suggestions and still no change. Help
