Reply to Apple Pencil Pro Haptic Initiation
For example, say the user is using a left hand finger to drag a slider, while holding the pencil in their right hand-- would it be possible to make the pencil vibrate to indicate the dragged slider knob reached a certain point? I haven't specifically tried in detail, but my expectation is that, yes, this is possible and should work. The concrete example here is to imagine a drawing canvas where the user is drawing with one, moving the canvas with the other, and haptics should occur when the pencil hits the edge. IMHO, I think it's reasonable for the two cases below to both vibrate in exactly the same way: The user moves the pencil until it hits the edge. The user holds the pencil stationary and move the canvas until the pencil hits the edge. The point of haptics in a scenario like this is to make the edge feel more physical and NOT allowing #2 actual subverts that goal. In addition, if you look at more complicated cases where both the pen and the

Reply to Apple Pencil support in Safari
Yeah this is definitely the case. Sad day. Also, we should ask Apple to add subpixel resolution to the touch event coordinates. Right now the coordinates is quantized to 1 logic pixel, so the strokes from the apple pencil is quite jittered.

How are companion Apps charged?
I have a subscription website that I wish to have a companion app forBoth Apple and Google charge 30%But how does it work if the app is a part of a paid service? In other words, people will pay for use of a website and also receive apps as part of the subscription.Tiered pricing as per number of users, each user needs an appHowever there is no way of knowing whether they will have 6 Android and 4 IOS, or whatever... So there is no way to simply pay 30%To give you an idea They would pay 49.95 for the site + 5 users and 99.95 for the site + 10 users and 149.95 for the site + up to 100 usersHow would this be done for Google and Apple as far as the store charges? It would be similar to numerous apps I have as part of a paid service, such as my Xfinity, I could not have a usable app were I not paying Xfinity, but I can't imagine Apple is collecting 30% of my Xfinity subscription. Same with a company that serves the car sales business. The dealership pays a monthly fee for calender

Can I charge end users for a custom app?
The scenario:We have thousands of users who are not employees of the companyWe are developing a proprietary (custom) app that will only be available to those Users - it will be optional for them.We have no MDM capabilites - All our users own their own devicesWe want to charge a fee for the app, paid directly by each user who uses the App.Questions:Is this scenario compatible with Business Manager? What is the end user discovery and download experience if we do not have any type of MDM?Can we charge for the app using our own payment methods (in-app credit card pmt) and without paying apple Rev Share? (According to this there is no in-app Payment so we should be able to charge in whatever means we choose)

apple pay Authorize a transaction with unknown amount and charge the amount for the service later
I'm developing a kind of Car Booking iOS Application and I want to develop following kind of process for paymentWant to implement Consumption based payment for my App Users. Rather than pre-payment User will do Post Payment based on his Usage. In my Application, User will book a Car, He can use it for as many Hours as he wants to use. E.g. he used it for 10 Hours, And at the time of submitting car back , System automatically deducts the money from his credit card for his usage. So, e.g. Hourly Rate is 2$ Hour and User used it for 20 hours, than system will deduct 40 $ From his credit card.My Plan is to Use Apple Pay,I got below informationhttps://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/get-started/Transaction type Authorization unknown amount & captureDescritpion Authorize a transaction with unknown amount, and charge the amount for the service laterExample Taxi rideThanks in Advance.

Reply to Apple Pencil won’t write
I had both the issue with the pencil drawing dots as well as terrible cringe inducing lag on separate occasions. I found there was a separate solution to each in my case:Dotted Line:I had activated zoom in my settings. While it wasn’t actively running, having it switched on passively in the background is a known glitch that causes issues with the Apple Pencil while your hand is resting on the screen. Shutting off zoom in settings completely resolved the issue. Lagging:When you delete things, documents or images for example, your iPad doesn’t actually delete them. It just puts them in another folder for a while. In some cases third party apps don’t delete these items for months! This fills your RAM with heaps of clutter. The very same RAM your iPad uses to draw the Apple Pencil. In my cases emptying those caches on both my iPad iOS and my third party apps that we’re facing the issue solved the lagging. I had hundreds of drawings and documents clogging my system I ne

How is Cost of CloudKit charged
Hi. Does anybody know how the cost of Cloudkit is charged. I am pretty confident that the app developer has to pay for the public part (where you have 10 GB Assest and 100 MB data for free initially), but what about the private section. Is that part of the app users iCloud space or does the App developer have to pay for that also?

Reply to Apple TV Developer Kit - Missing cable?
It's to charge your Siri Remote. Though, you can't charge from the Apple TV itself, because it doesn't have a USB-A port.
