I'm planning on making a jig to hold and charge an iPad. Specifically, it will hold it in the landscape orientation, and charge it via the smart connector. Where can I find the electrical specification for the smart connector? The specific questions I'm trying to answer are:What voltage(s) and current(s) do I need to provide? (Secondarily, does it negotiate for higher currents like the USB standard?)What is the communication interface? As it's only 3 pins total, I'm thinking it's either a bidirectional communication via 1 pin, or it's modulated somehow to reuse pins. What is the required magnetic setup (polarities, strengths) to align the iPad to the Smart Connector?

It's because the new capabilities of the hardware announced yesterday (the iPad Pro, and the 6S and 6S+) requires a updated operating system to take advantage of them. iOS 9.1 adds support for Live Photos, the Apple Pencil, and 3D Touch APIs as well as the iPad Pro's dual app capabilities.

Just installed IOS 14.2 & my battery performance has died horribly, my iPhone 6s is draining its battery 10-20 times faster & on re-charge seems again to be noticeably slower to charge. WT actual F Apple, seriously???? This is a bloody disaster.

Download 9.3 last evening (the 13th). Pencil no longer swiping for me, either. Bummer. Hope it's a bug and not a feature. Although it would save wear and tear on the tips, I suppose. :/ Sure slows me down in any case. And when I'm leaning back in a chair, for example, that extra extension of the Pencil made it far more convenient to scroll through Safari pages, etc.

iOS Version: 14.0 Model: iPhone 8 I met this problem after update to iOS 14. Last night when I came home from work, my phone was low so I plugged it in and went out for food. After having dinner, I pick up my phone to check for messages and realized that it was dead. I plugged in again and left it charging. After a while, it still stood at 3% without charging anything. I tried to change it to another cable (I have 3 cable at home bc I have an Airpod as well) but nothing happened !! The phone was then dead but after that, it began to charge!! However, it seems that my phone can now only charged AFTER it is turned off. Whenever it was on, it refused to charge. This is very weird... Are there anyone have my same issue and found a fix, please advised me what to do.. I didn't want to throw my phone to a repair shop bc this is the only phone I got to communicate so only if it's the last choice, I would have to:(
Having the same problem while trying to draw with the pen in PencilKit, and using fingers to manipulate a 3D shape in SceneKit. Any suggestions?

NOTE: I read the spec: https://www.w3.org/TR/pointerevents3/#the-primary-pointer Some devices, operating systems and user agents may ignore the concurrent use of more than one type of pointer input to avoid accidental interactions. For instance, devices that support both touch and pen interactions may ignore touch inputs while the pen is actively being used, to allow users to rest their hand on the touchscreen while using the pen (a feature commonly referred to as palm rejection). Currently, it is not possible for authors to suppress this behavior. Since the iPad can handle simultaneous touch-types natively, I don't see why the web version cannot. Please lift this restriction/think about a way to lift it.

We're about to launch an influencer app that will allow influencers to house a small core audience in a chatroom. In order to join this chatroom as a user you will have to subscribe to this influencers chatroom and pay that subscription once a month. We wanted to give the freedom to these influencers to set the price to join their chatroom... which means each influencers chatroom could have a different price that a user will need to pay in order to join. I know Apple is very strict with subscription... but do you think we will get approved or do you think we have to go to a set price that contains 3 different levels?
I have same issue, can't connect to pencil while it is not on charge.Hard reset does not help.Any help?

this is not a fault or a bug this is apple trying to create an illegal monopoly on chargers for laptops basically in the someone update apple have put a setting to stop your computer charging unless it is connected to an official made by apple charger which costs 3 times the price of a third party charger and is built to break within 2 years. So essentially you will have to keep replacing your charger every 2 years or less at apples over inflated charger prices, even if you divert back to the old operating system it will still not charge on anything apart from a made by apple charger its basically looking to eliminate all competition and create a monopoly win the market which while illegal I am sure their team of lawyers are experts at helping apple circumnavigate laws to fuel the greed of those in charge.

You will want to read the app review guidelines especially section 11 and 11.14. Apple does not charge 30% for payments through Apple Pay.

I have seen the same behaviour with a number of iPads, particularly the Air 2 confirmed not accepting charge when under 10-15% battery resulting in being stuck at the boot screen.Workaround I have found at the moment is to charge in recovery mode, I have used 2 sessions of recovery mode to get 30 mins total charge, after this the battery is above 20% and returns to normal behaviour.Following the above will avoid unnecessary restoring of devices.Recommend charging in a powered off state where seeing this issue, is a good idea to feed back to Apple where you're seeing this too so it can be fixed in upcoming beta.
