Reply to Is first party cookies allowed in webviews without user’s permission on iPhone?
but what’s with technical cookies those needed for the website to function correctly? Eg. Cookies those determine if a popup is needed to show again or not If the browser or API that you are using in your project is WebKit bases, WKWebView for example, then the 3rd party cookies will be blocked. See more on this here. Matt Eaton DTS Engineering, CoreOS meaton3@apple.com

Cannot get session to work in iframe on iOS Safari
I have an iframe on Site A with src set to a subdomain on Site B (both https). On Safari the session is not being retained in the iframe. I believe this to be related to first/third party cookies, so I have ensured that the session cookies and any other cookies set have SameSite=None and Secure specified. I have attempted to integrate the Javascript Storage API, but hasStorageAccess always indicates that the client has storage access, so never calls requestStorageAccess. If I remove the hasStorageAccess check, requestStorageAccess always fails and never asks the user for permission to allow storage. There are no problems on desktop browsers or Chrome Android, this only occurs on iOS (multiple iOS devices tested). Can anyone please suggest anything else I need to do?

Guideline 5.1.2 - Legal - Privacy - Data Use and Sharing REJECTED
I was passed the review and submit to the apple store. But when I updated the new app version and submit again I got rejected... Here is the message from Apple: Guideline 5.1.2 - Legal - Privacy - Data Use and Sharing We noticed you collect data to track after the user selects Ask App Not to Track on the App Tracking Transparency permission request. Specifically, we noticed your app accesses web content you own and collects cookies for tracking after the user asked you not to track them. Next Steps To resolve this issue, please revise your app so that you do not collect data for tracking purposes if the user does not give permission for tracking. Resources Tracking is linking data collected from your app with third-party data for advertising purposes, or sharing the collected data with a data broker. Learn more about tracking. See Frequently Asked Questions about the new requirements for apps that track users. Please see attached screenshot for details. Which features do I need to remove and revise o

Reply to Guideline 5.1.2 - Legal - Privacy - Data Use and Sharing REJECTED
Yes, It simply means that your app is collecting data from users [without user permissions you can not collect data without their permissions. Solution: Remove the Cookies from your app [which is collecting user data] [actually it simply means that you might sell this data to any advertisers] Go to App Privacy and set your data types[ if you are collecting then follow the apple app store data types privacy policy] if you are not collecting data [then simply check to NO I hope it will help you

Reply to Why the first item I tap on a SwiftUI List becomes nil when present it in a sheet
You need to use item instead of isPresented, which means you trigger the sheet by assigning/updating the selected value, instead of toggling a boolean value. In code that would be something like this. struct UpdateStateProperty: View { var items:[Item] = [Item(name: Oranges), Item(name: Apples), Item(name: Cookies) ] @State private var presentView = false @State private var selectedItem: Item? var body: some View { List{ ForEach(items){ item in HStack{ Text(item.name) }.onTapGesture { selectedItem = item } } } .sheet(item: $selectedItem) { item in Text((item?.name ?? )) } } } I haven't tested the above code, just copied yours, but you got the idea.

Why the first item I tap on a SwiftUI List becomes nil when present it in a sheet
Can someone please explain why the first time I tap on an item from the list, the selectedItem?.name becomes nil? The second time it shows the right item name correctly but not the first time, why?. I was expecting that to have a value even the first time since I'm setting it in the onTapGesture method selectedItem = item. // model struct Item: Identifiable{ var id = UUID() var name:String } // SwiftUI struct UpdateStateProperty: View { var items:[Item] = [Item(name: Oranges), Item(name: Apples), Item(name: Cookies) ] @State private var presentView = false @State private var selectedItem: Item? var body: some View { List{ ForEach(items){ item in HStack{ Text(item.name) }.onTapGesture { selectedItem = item presentView.toggle() } } } .sheet(isPresented: $presentView){ Text((selectedItem?.name) as String) } } }

Reply to Allowing 3rd party cookies on WKWebView
Third-party cookies? That's up to Apple, and log some feedback. But enabling third-party cookies seems increasingly unlikely. Alternatives to using third-party cookies include using first-party cookies (which are also time-limited now), or using Sign In With Apple, or migrating to token-based logins akin to Twitter or using the built-in authenticator, or waiting for the MFA app to figure out how to update their implementation to use first-party cookies.

Allowing 3rd party cookies on WKWebView
I am working on an app that loads a login page on a WKWebView. My client recently moved to a new MFA provider and this requires the app to allow 3rd party cookies. I have been trying to allow certain 3rd party cookie but no luck. From hours of research it looks like Apple made this impossible... Is there a workaround to set WKWebView cookie accept policy and/or allow 3rd party cookies from specific domains?

Safari Security so Rigid in Monterey
I'm no developer, just a long-time user running Beta Monterey. Not even sure if this applies to regurlar Safari but Apple pulled my Q out of standard support and insisted I post here instead... Running Mac Monterey Beta. Forever user of Chrome but wanting to get rid of Google dependency. Bought a new MacBook Pro, decided to go full Safari. Despite every option in security being unchecked, and after an hour long call with Apple support, I'm told that Safari WILL NOT save previous logins to sites like Amazon, FaceBook or Google Voice. I have to log in to each site every time, despite each site asking me if I want to remember the browser being used. I can't believe I'm the only one experiencing this. I also can't believe there's not some way around requiring a new sign-in for every time I visit a site. It's not just closing Safari, it happens when I just close a tab. It won't remember anything about my mission. I've turned off blocking cookies, allowed my IP address and event turned on feedback and allo

Use of document.cookie in Safari
Are there scoping issues with document.cookie in Safari? I have written a javascript constructor function around document.cookie. The constructor function is defined in the global scope but is used inside of another object instance. It works in Firefox and Chrome but does not work in Safari. If I do window.onload = function() { var ck = 'test=this; max-age=600; domain=localhost; path=/dev_lab_current/lab_56; SameSite=Lax'; document.cookie = ck; } it works. But it does not set the cookie in my html application. The application has a host object constructor that creates an instance of the cookie manager constructor within it. So it is about 2 scope levels deep. But the exact same code DOES work in Firefox and Chrome. The html is designed to allow hard coded records to be kept for cookies created by it. PHP is used to write the hard coded records in a javascript source code file. For this reason I would not post a demo on my publically available web site. Thank you for time and attenti
