Is there something wrong with the App Review process right now? (Waiting 48h+)
My app submitted on the 28th has been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for over 48 hours now. I even submitted an expedited review request more than 30 hours ago, and I’ve sent two follow-up inquiries, but I haven't received a single response yet. Is the review process broken at the moment? I’ve seen quite a few posts here recently about similar delays. If a problem occurs in the review process, the App Store must promptly make an announcement.

App stuck in “Waiting for Review” for over a month – any guidance?
Hello everyone, I submitted my app to App Store Connect on March 27, 2026. As of today (April 30, 2026), the app is still in the “Waiting for Review” status. I have already contacted Apple Developer Support twice and received responses on April 15 and April 21. Both times I was told that the app is still in the queue and that there are no actions I can take to speed up the process. However, it has now been over a month, and I’ve noticed that many new apps and updates have been approved and released during this time. My app has not received any rejections or feedback—it’s still on its first submission and remains in “Waiting for Review.” I would appreciate any insights from others who may have experienced a similar delay: Is this kind of waiting time normal? Could there be any hidden issue causing the delay? Is there anything else I can do to move the process forward? Thank you in advance for your help.

Genmoji API — are local edits and non-text usage (e.g., widgets) allowed?
Hi, I'm integrating the Genmoji API (NSAdaptiveImageGlyph) into my app and would like to confirm two things: Local editing of generated Genmoji. After the user creates a Genmoji, can the app apply edits to the resulting image (e.g., pixelation)? The edited image would be stored only on-device within the app and never shared externally. Use outside text contexts. Can a generated Genmoji be used in other parts of the app, such as a home screen widget? Apple's documentation and the WWDC24 session focus on inline text, stickers, and Tapbacks, but I couldn't find explicit guidance on widget or other UI usage. I checked the Human Interface Guidelines, WWDC24 session "Bring expression to your app with Genmoji," and the App Store Review Guidelines, but couldn't find clear answers. Any guidance or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

App Waiting For Review for long time
I submitted my app for review on April 7, 2026, but it remained in the “Waiting for Review” status for more than 20 days. I then canceled the submission and resubmitted the app on April 27, 2026. However, as of today, it is still awaiting review. This update includes major bug fixes that are urgent and important for our users. I kindly request that the App Review Team look into this matter and help resolve the delay as soon as possible.

App Store Search Algorithm Problems
Was there are recent update to the App Store Search Algorithm? I noticed that beginning about a week ago my keyword search rankings changed drastically. I had read that Apple was planning on using AI as part of the search algorithm. I don't know if that's been rolled out but if it has, something is wrong. I've been seeing other developers on Reddit trying to make sense of the recent search rankings. The results seem to be attempting to inject potentially related apps and deprioritizing exact matches, to the point of burying the apps most relevant to what the user entered. In one test, I searched using all 3 words in my subtitle: "brainwave binaural monaural". The app is a 5-star audio neuromodulation app (but only 6 reviews). It appeared 66th in the search results. About 10 of higher ranking apps were competitors with good ratings and more ratings, so that made sense. The majority though were either unrelated apps with none of my search terms in their subtitle or related apps with 1-2 star ratings (but also none of my subtitle words). For example, at #30 was the Skullcandy earbud pairing app with 2.3 stars (283 reviews) and none of my subtitle words ("Skullcandy App Experience"). At #46 was a second Skullcandy app with 2.4 stars (subtitle: "Skullcandy smart tech"). Based on subtitle/keyword relevance, and rating, it makes no sense that these two earbud apps would appear 36 and 20 places above mine in the results. Has anyone else seen similar changes to the search ranking? I've been doing this since '08 and I haven't seen search perform as poorly as it is now.

App Stuck In Review For 53 DAYS!!!
Hello, My first app, Dodge? (Apple ID: 6757125102), has been in review for over 53 days. This app was already live on the App Store, and this submission only includes UI improvements. Additionally, my second app, Widgety – Desktop Widgets (Apple ID: 6761670888), has been in review for 13 days. This is my first time submitting this app for review. I have already contacted Apple support regarding this issue, but have not received a resolution so far, which is why I am posting here in the forums. Both apps have been pending for an unusually long time. Since Dodge? is just a UI update and Widgety is a standard first-time submission, I would expect a much faster review process. Could you please check the status of these submissions and let me know if any additional information or action is required from my side? Has anyone experienced similar delays or knows what might be causing this? Thank you.

Mac App Store search doesn't return my app when searching for its exact name
Hi, I have an app on the Mac App Store called Tunebar. It's a simple app that plays local music. I've noticed that searching directly for "Tunebar" never returns my app in the results. I understand it's not a popular app, but other apps that appear to be even less popular do show up for this search query. At first, I thought it simply hadn't been indexed yet because it was a new app. However, it's now been many weeks, and I don't recall ever having this issue with my other apps, searching for their exact name has always returned them in the results. I'm not even expecting it to appear as the first result, just somewhere in the list. A user recently emailed me saying they searched for it and couldn't find the app either. Is there a chance the indexer somehow skipped this app? https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tunebar/id6759842578?mt=12 Thank you.

App Review Pending Since April 13, 2026 — No Clear Update from Support
My app has been pending review in App Store Connect since April 13, 2026. I have already contacted Apple Support ticket 102873493392, but I’m still stuck in the same situation with no clear explanation or timeline. This delay is becoming really frustrating, especially after following the required process and receiving no meaningful update. I would appreciate it if the App Review team could look into this case and let me know what is blocking the review.

Hello Apple App Store Team, I hope you’re doing well. App stuck in review loop for 10+ days. 6 rejection/resubmission cycles, expedited request submitted
Our app PrepAiro: Crack UPSC IAS 2026 (Account: 6741750813) has been caught in a rejection/resubmission loop since April 12, now over 10 days. Timeline: April 12: First rejection received Cycles 1–6: Each rejection addressed per reviewer feedback, resubmitted promptly April 18: Status moved to "Waiting for Review" , no movement since We submitted an expedited review request through Apple Support due to the urgency. This release contains critical bug fixes actively impacting users, but there has been no response or update. We understand review timelines can vary, but 6 full cycles over 10 days with no resolution, and a 6-day stall after the last submission, is unusual. Each resubmission addressed the specific feedback provided, yet the cycle continues. Has anyone experienced similar extended holds recently? And is there any additional channel or escalation path beyond the expedited review request to get clarity on what's causing this? Any guidance from Apple or fellow developers would be appreciated.

All Testflight have been flagged as EXPIRED
Hi there, In the last few days ALL TF builds i has been flagged as Expired. Uploading new builds to TF seems to be successful but we get a 404 on the download link. It doesn't exist! Client side we have seemingly exhausted all our lines of enquiry. All certification seems to be correct and intact, and we can publish to the store. We cannot distribute builds through TF - which is highly problematic and inconvenient. These issues seems to be happening to many developers but I've not seen Apple comment on this yet. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/823347 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/778597 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/778597?answerId=885232022#885232022 I offer this as a sidenote. We transferred an app from this store, successfully to another store. The timing at first seemed linked, but now having seen other reports, it may just have been coincidence. Thankyou for your attention.

Odd search results for my Yatzy game app
If you do a search on the App Store for my app name "YatzyVibe". My app is listed amongst 'baby' and 'pregnancy' apps. Does anyone know what is causing the App Store search process to list my YatzyVibe (dice game) app amongst 'baby' and 'pregnancy' apps? Why isn't it listed amongst Yatzy Game apps? My app name: YatzyVibe Subtitle: No internet needed! Keywords: offline, dice, yatzy, yahtzee, bluetooth, multiplayer, travel, cruise, plane,no internet, family Developer Name: Andrew W. Wesolowski Support URL: https://newbornsoftware.com Bundle ID: com.newbornsoftware.yatzyvibe My app Description does NOT contain any references to 'baby' or 'pregnancy' but does contain: Terms of Use (EULA): https://newbornsoftware.com/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://newbornsoftware.com/privacy.html Any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue so that: 1. A direct search for "YatzyVibe" takes a user directly to my app 2. Searching for my YatzyVibe app, will result in it being listed amongst other Yatzy type game apps and NOT 'baby' and 'pregnancy' apps. Any help would be appreciated. BTW... I did contact Developer Support via email and their response was not very useful (attached below): Thank you for contacting Developer Support, my name is Jessica and I am so happy to provide you with support today! We wanted to thank you for your patience as we are currently experiencing higher than normal contact volumes, and remain committed to assisting you as quickly as possible. App stuck in review, need to address a critical bug
I submitted an expedited review request over 17 hours ago and haven’t heard back yet. My app has also been sitting in review for 6 days with no status update. The situation is a bit stressful — my current version has a critical bug affecting the restore purchases flow, and I’ve been getting emails from users who can’t restore their previous purchases. I submitted a new version (1.4.2) with the fix, hoping the expedited request would help move things along. Has anyone had a similar experience recently?

Storefront.current?.countryCode returns inconsistent values in TestFlight builds
Hi, We're experiencing inconsistent and unexpected values returned by Storefront.current?.countryCode when running our app via TestFlight. In our case: The device region and locale are set to Poland The App Store account (Media & Purchases) is also set to Poland However, when running a TestFlight build, Storefront.current?.countryCode sometimes returns a completely different value (e.g. "NO" for Norway), which does not match the current App Store account configuration. Here's the code we're using: if #available(iOS 15.0, *) { let code = await Storefront.current?.countryCode print("Storefront countryCode:", code ?? "nil") } What's particularly confusing: Across different devices logged into the same App Store account, we sometimes receive different countryCode values The returned value does not seem to reflect the current App Store region or device settings We understand that Storefront reflects the App Store storefront and not the device locale, but in this case the value appears stale or incorrect even with a properly configured App Store account. Questions: Is Storefront.current?.countryCode expected to behave differently in TestFlight vs. production builds? Are there known caching or propagation delays for storefront updates across devices? Can TestFlight builds return outdated or inconsistent storefront values? What is the recommended way to reliably determine the user's App Store region in this scenario? We rely on storefront to determine regional availability of features, so understanding this behavior is important for us. Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Non-public API _UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification error for build after validation and archive upload
I have an app that has suddenly gotten a non-public API error after uploading the archive to TestFlight. The error is posted in full below, and has never occurred before. I'm not using the _UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification symbol but I do have two extensions that use UIDevice.orientationDidChangeNotification. However those extensions are not included in the target for the two watch extensions where the error occurs. Has anyone seen this problem before or have some advice? 90338: Non-public API usage. The app references non-public symbols in Watch/watchkitappBeta.app/PlugIns/watchkitappExtensionBeta.appex/watchkitappExtensionBeta: _UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification,The app references non-public symbols in Watch/watchkitappBeta.app/PlugIns/watchkitappExtensionBeta.appex/PlugIns/watchkitappWidgetExtensionBeta.appex/watchkitappWidgetExtensionBeta: _UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification. If method names in your source code match the private Apple APIs listed above, altering your method names will help prevent this app from being flagged in future submissions. In addition, note that one or more of the above APIs may be located in a static library that was included with your app. If so, they must be removed. Product Page Optimization Overview
I'm trying to test using different icons in the product page optimization section, with each page using a different icon. However, even though I've added the icons to "Resources" and checked "Include all app icon resources" in "General," the icons still don't display when creating a test in the App Connect section after official review. How can I make this feature work correctly?

Is Product Page Optimization in App Store Connect broken?
This issue has persisted for a week. Whenever I tap on "View Analytics" in Product Page Optimization, I always get the error: "The page you're looking for can't be found." Is anyone else encountering this issue? Thanks.
