Hi everyone, I’m working on an app that uses WKWebView. Due to security concerns, our customers want the app to disable copy-paste functionality and similar options (such as Lookup and Share, allowing users to extract text from the app or save it as a file. I was able to disable copy-paste and remove UIMenu options like Lookup and Share. Everything worked fine until the iOS 18.1 beta, which introduced a new menu called Writing Tools (Apple Intelligence) that has its own copy and share buttons I've tried several ways to remove it Remove all UIMenu items using canPerformAction, and it works for all menus but Writing Tools, which still remains override func canPerformAction(_ action: Selector, withSender sender: Any?) -> Bool { return false } Remove it from UIMenuBuilder override func buildMenu(with builder: UIMenuBuilder) { builder.remove(menu: .lookup) builder.remove(menu: .share) } But unfortunately, UIMenuBuilder does not have an identifier for Writing Tools, and it seems like there are no API changes from Xcode 15 to Xcode 16 (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uimenu/identifier) It seems like the only way to disable it through MDM configuration (key: allowWritingTools), but we don't use MDM https://developer.apple.com/documentation/devicemanagement/restrictions Environment iOS Version: iOS 18.1 beta4 Device: iPhone 15 Pro App platform: iOS Xcode version: 16.0 MacOS: 15.0 Thank you

I'm trying to disable Writing Tools for a specific TextField using .writingToolsBehavior(.disabled), but when running the app on my iPhone 16 Pro with Apple Intelligence enabled, I can still use Writing Tools on the text box. I also see no difference with .writingToolsBehavior(.limited). Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug? My app one sec uses push notifications to guide the user back to the app from a Screen Time Shield (screenshot attached). On iOS 18.1, notifications are delivered with a delay of 10+ seconds, even though they are classified as time sensitive: notificationContent.interruptionLevel = .timeSensitive notificationContent.relevanceScore = 1.0 The notification trigger is nil, which according to the documentation should show the notification banner immediately: var notificationTrigger: UNTimeIntervalNotificationTrigger? = nil "The condition that causes the system to deliver the notification. I have apple intelligence working fine with all the features on my iPhone 16 pro max. except for the summary feature and email summarizing, they don't work unless I turn on VPN on. why is that ? I am not living in the EU. and all the features of AI are working except for this one it won't work unless I have my vpn on. can anyone help me with this.

The UITextView.allowedWritingToolsResultOptions has no effect to how "Writing Tools" feature works. When it is set to empty, it still offer all options in the Writing Tools popup dialog. The result is that it is not possible to limit output results to eg. only plain text, or disable tables in output. let textView = UITextView() textView.isEditable = true textView.writingToolsBehavior = .complete textView.allowedWritingToolsResultOptions = [] resulting Writing Tools has all options available. My iPhone 15 Pro is from Hong Kong (China). I am outside of China and Asia in general. I have never been to China myself and the iPhone was activated in another country. And it is not the EU. My iPhone's language, Siri and region settings are changed to US English. Updated to iOS 18.1 RC. But Apple Intelligence doesn't show up in the Siri settings.

Using an iPhone 15 Pro. I'm in Australia on iOS 18.2 Beta 1 but there's no mention of Apple Intelligence anywhere in the phone. Settings looks identical without the menu for AI, there's no playground image generation. It's as if my phone doesn't know it exists

Hi I got access to developer beta 18.2 . All the features are working fine but image Playground stuck at Early Access requested. Can someone share how much time it takes before you are able to access image playground? I have been stuck for 3 hours

I'm using the iOS 18.2 beta on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but can't find Apple Intelligence, and the Settings app still shows the Old Siri logo.

Originally when Apple Intelligence launched there are some T&C for using and activate this Apple Intelligence. For activating Apple Intelligence at China first of all purchased iPhone must be non-Chinese iPhone means that the iPhone aren’t purchased in China not include Hong Kong and Macau. Also if use this Chinese Apple account are also unable to activate the Apple Intelligence. To activate the Apple Intelligence, I have travel to Hong Kong and purchase iPhone 16 pro Max. To reach the requirement of activating Apple Intelligence, I’ve decided to switch my region from China to United States. I’ve started to switch my account from October 19, CST 2:00am, Shanghai time 3:00pm. Till now CST time 8:30am October 24, Shanghai Time 9:30pm I still can’t join the Apple Intelligence waitlist. I’m also upgraded my phone to iOS 18.2. I’ve contacted the Apple support using my Chinese phone number and it transferred to me Philippines Apple support team. It seems like the Philippine Apple support team doesn’t help me get anything. The Philippine Apple support team keeps saying that the beta version iOS right now in my phone has some problem on it. But when I log out this Apple ID, and changed to another Apple ID that is UK ones. I can successfully enable the Apple Intelligence. What does this say?! This shows that my Apple account has a problem on it. It doesn’t switch successfully to United States server! And the Philippine Apple support team keep asking me to restore my iPhone like crazy! I’ve told them that I have used several Apple account that is from United States and United Kingdom that can successfully enable the Apple Intelligence. Requested image playground early access stuck for 24 hrs currently any way this can be fixed ?

I requested early access for image playground 24 hours ago and haven't gotten it approved. Are they rolling it out slowly or is it a problem with my phone.

there are no AI chips on iOS 18.1, there is a region with great states and English everywhere. there is no apple intelligence and siri section (just siri instead). There is also no eraser function in the photo app.

I integrated the image playground sheet in my app, however when I select Take Photo on the iOS version of my app it just reloads the sheet. After several attempts I get the below error message. This issue doesn’t occur on the macOS version of my app, where it first requests camera permission before allowing me to take the photo. I’m not sure if this is happening because I don’t request the camera permission anywhere in my app. My app doesn’t use the camera at all apart from the Take Photo feature which is part of the image playground sheet. After I updated Siri doesn't work. If I try to use it by typing I get no feedback or response. If I say 'Siri' or hold down the side button the 'animation' on the screen starts but stops immediately and again I have no response or feedback. When turning off Apple Intelligence and just using Siri, it works perfectly. But in conjunction with Apple Intelligence, it is not possible to use Siri. IOS 18.2 Beta IPhone 15 pro Max

The image playground has been stucked for me for 36 hours so far. As far as I read in various forums, there are many people with the problem. It is only activated for a series of content creators.
