Invalid Swift Support Upon Submit to Testflight/AppStore
Hello, i know this topic is here since ever, also in other forums, however this topic i face for a month and cant get pass it, I tried all other suggestions which didnt bring me anywhere. so, project using cmake in order for Qt creator (so c++ base project with enabled swift), however once i run a cmake which generates *.xcodeproj for Xcode, i open it via xcode and can properly build and deploy to device. however when I try to archive and sent to Testflight/AppStore, I get: ITMS-90426: Invalid Swift Support and when I try to followup guides to create it manualy, copying libs from: $(TOOLCHAIN_DIR)/usr/lib/swift-5.0/$(PLATFORM_NAME) plese here note, that ALL guides indicate to use folder "swift", however there are no *.dylib files... they are only in "swift-5.0" folder then I receive an error type: ITMS-90429: Invalid Swift Support - The files libswiftMetal.dylib, libswiftHomeKit.dylib, libswiftsimd.dylib, libswiftCallKit.dylib, libswiftos.dylib, libswiftNetwork.dylib, libswiftMapKit.dylib, libswiftCoreLocation.dylib, libswiftAccelerate.dylib, libswiftCoreGraphics.dylib, libswiftSceneKit.dylib, libswiftCoreData.dylib, libswiftGameplayKit.dylib, libswiftUIKit.dylib, libswiftMetalKit.dylib, libswiftCore.dylib, libswiftFoundation.dylib, libswiftPhotos.dylib, libswiftModelIO.dylib, libswiftWatchKit.dylib, libswiftDarwin.dylib, libswiftARKit.dylib, libswiftAssetsLibrary.dylib, libswiftSpriteKit.dylib, libswiftNaturalLanguage.dylib, libswiftCoreAudio.dylib, libswiftIntents.dylib, libswiftQuartzCore.dylib, libswiftObjectiveC.dylib, libswiftDispatch.dylib, libswiftCoreFoundation.dylib, libswiftCoreMedia.dylib, libswiftVision.dylib, libswiftAVFoundation.dylib, libswiftContacts.dylib, libswiftGLKit.dylib, libswiftSwiftOnoneSupport.dylib, libswiftXCTest.dylib, libswiftMediaPlayer.dylib, libswiftCloudKit.dylib, libswiftCoreImage.dylib aren’t at the expected location /Payload/Filmtoro.app/Frameworks. Move the file to the expected location, rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode, and resubmit it. here please also note that actually *.xcarchive does not contain any "Payload" folder, the package contains only two folders "dSYMs" and "Production/Applications/myapp.app" (inside it I can find "Frameworks" folder... this link was also very interested: https://indiestack.com/2017/03/implicit-swift-dependencies/ tho id didnt help a bit :) so what I would like to know, is what actually forces xcode to generate the SwiftSupport folder to the archive... the must be some direct setting inside *.xcodeproj/pbxproj which forces it... or dirrect setting in xcode/Build Settings which if not work I can submit an ticket to investigate. I am sure after a month of trying everything, whatever tip you can point out I already tried, however Please lets try everything again to get bottom of this. Many thanks for any tip

SPM show-dependencies broken
I have a Package.swift // swift-tools-version: 5.9 // The swift-tools-version declares the minimum version of Swift required to build this package. import PackageDescription let package = Package( name: "SharedUI", defaultLocalization: "en_US", platforms: [.iOS(.v16)], products: [ .library( name: "SharedUI", targets: [ "AppTheme", ] ), ], dependencies: [ .package(url: "https://github.com/apple/swift-markdown.git", "0.2.0"..<"0.3.0"), ], targets: [ .target( name: "AppTheme", dependencies: [ .product(name: "Markdown", package: "swift-markdown"), ], path: "AppTheme" ), ] ) Run swift package show-dependencies shows error yuantong-macbookpro2:Downloads yuantong$ swift package show-dependencies Fetching https://github.com/apple/swift-markdown.git from cache Fetched https://github.com/apple/swift-markdown.git (0.67s) error: Couldn’t get the list of tags: fatal: cannot use bare repository '/Users/yuantong/Downloads/.build/repositories/swift-markdown-b692ce3c' (safe.bareRepository is 'explicit') which I think used to work before Xcode 15.

Xcode "Build documentation" not working with Swift Macro package in project
I have a workspace with my project and a Swift Macro. When I use the "Build Documentation" command the build fails with this error: fatal error: module map file '/Users/me/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Project-fmdkuqlofexbqdhhitpgjnoqzyrz/Build/Intermediates.noindex/GeneratedModuleMaps-iphoneos/Macros.modulemap' not found Is there a way around this?

Could not build obective-c module error for Swift Code
Setup: PLATFORM AND VERSION: iOS Development environment: Xcode Version 16.0 (16A242d), macOS 14.6.1 Run-time configuration: iOS 15-18 tried with same error. When building the app despite the fact it's pure Swift code getting error: CaPark.swift file is here: import Foundation class CarPark: Identifiable, Decodable { var carParkId: String var address: String var totalLots: String var lotsAvailable: String? var lotType:String var lat: Double var lng: Double var couponEps: String var agency: String } Issue seems like started after xcode update to version mentioned above. What i've tried: Clean ups Reinstallation of Xcoce Rollback to previous versions of Xcode Start clean project from VCS App is published and multiple versions were uploaded to AppStore, this problem is new and came out of nowhere. Let me know if additional info is required. Thank you!

Xcode Cloud Dependency Resolution - out-of-date resolved file
When I try to build my iOS app using Xcode Cloud, it encounters an error when trying to resolve packages: an out-of-date resolved file was detected at [path to package.resolved], which is not allowed when automatic dependency resolution is disabled; please make sure to update the file to reflect the changes in dependencies Looking at my package.resolved file, it all seems to be in order. What can I do to fix it?

Xcode "Build For Testing" always returning x86_64 architecture for code coverage purposes
When using Xcode's "Build for Testing", I have noticed the resulting MyApp.xctestrun file has an array of CodeCoverageBuildableInfos. This array has all of our built targets. They all have an Architectures array property. For all of our targets this is set to x86_64 when we build for Any iOS Simulator. This is irrespective of what we have "ARCHS" and "ONLY_ACTIVE_ARCH" set to (in our case we only want arm64). We do have a number of local swift packages defined, each with their own test targets. We are using a test plan for these tests. This is causing issues when processing the resulting xcresult file since it is complaining that it can't find objects for the correct architecture when calculating code coverage. No object file for requested architecture No coverage data found. (Underlying Error: No object file for requested architecture)

Linker command failed due to Undefined Symbol errors.
Xcode will build and analyze fine using the Debug build configuration but trying to use Analyze or Archive with Release configuration generates 3 errors: Undefined symbol: protocol conformance descriptor, Undefined symbol: type metadata accessor, and Undefined symbol: nominal type descriptor causing the linker to command to fail. The library is included and already linked and a previous version did not have the error so I think it's a code issue but not quite sure what it is or how to fix! The project/package can be found here: https://github.com/kudit/Device/tree/v2.1.17 (to reproduce, checkout this version and rename appending ".swiftpm" to the folder, then right-click to show package contents, open the Development folder and open the Xcode project there. It's done this way so the package can be imported and edited on iPad Swift Playgrounds)

Failed to build the scheme "project name"
Hello, Developer team! Does anyone have an idea about the problem I'm facing with the simulator ? I'm learning how to code in SwiftUI and my simulator was working just fine but yesterday I close my laptop the other day and open today and see the code : import SwiftUI import SwiftData @main struct first_projectApp: App { var sharedModelContainer: ModelContainer = { let schema = Schema([ Item.self, ]) let modelConfiguration = ModelConfiguration(schema: schema, isStoredInMemoryOnly: false) do { return try ModelContainer(for: schema, configurations: [modelConfiguration]) } catch { fatalError("Could not create ModelContainer: \(error)") } }() var body: some Scene { WindowGroup { ContentView() } .modelContainer(sharedModelContainer) } } I don't know where it comes from . I used IOS 17.5 I try to upgrade to IOS 18 but that didn't fix the problem. Currently I'm seeing 3 errors : Showing Recent Errors Only Build target first project of project first project with configuration Debug Ld /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.app/first\ project.debug.dylib normal (in target 'first project' from project 'first project') cd /Users/amedekatamatode/Desktop/calculator/first\ project /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/clang -Xlinker -reproducible -target arm64-apple-ios17.5-simulator -dynamiclib -isysroot /Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator18.0.sdk -O0 -L/Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/EagerLinkingTBDs/Debug-iphonesimulator -L/Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator -F/Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/EagerLinkingTBDs/Debug-iphonesimulator -F/Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator -filelist /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/first\ project.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.build/Objects-normal/arm64/first\ project.LinkFileList -install_name @rpath/first\ project.debug.dylib -Xlinker -rpath -Xlinker @executable_path/Frameworks -dead_strip -Xlinker -object_path_lto -Xlinker /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/first\ project.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.build/Objects-normal/arm64/first\ project_lto.o -Xlinker -export_dynamic -Xlinker -no_deduplicate -Xlinker -objc_abi_version -Xlinker 2 -Xlinker -debug_variant -fobjc-link-runtime -fprofile-instr-generate -L/Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/swift/iphonesimulator -L/usr/lib/swift -Xlinker -add_ast_path -Xlinker /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/first\ project.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.build/Objects-normal/arm64/first_project.swiftmodule -Xlinker -alias -Xlinker _main -Xlinker ___debug_main_executable_dylib_entry_point -Xlinker -no_adhoc_codesign -Xlinker -dependency_info -Xlinker /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Intermediates.noindex/first\ project.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.build/Objects-normal/arm64/first\ project_dependency_info.dat -o /Users/amedekatamatode/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/first_project-ebsglpjmgwtgzpflkvloohzydjuf/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/first\ project.app/first\ project.debug.dylib ld: warning: Could not parse or use implicit file '/Applications/Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/SwiftUICore.framework/SwiftUICore.tbd': cannot link directly with 'SwiftUICore' because product being built is not an allowed client of it Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: "_main", referenced from: ___debug_main_executable_dylib_entry_point in command-line-aliases-file ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture arm64 clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) Undefined symbol: _main Linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) I hope someone helps me how to figure it out. Xcode not copying frameworks Swift package with binary target if only included from app extension
I have a Swift Package that includes XCFrameworks which are exported as binary targets. If I include any of the product in Frameworks and Libraries section of a notification service extension target, build succeeds while the extension crashes with dynamic linker error: Library not loaded: @rpath/MoEngageRichNotification.framework/MoEngageRichNotification My workaround is to include the same product in app target's Frameworks and Libraries section and add @executable_path/../../Frameworks to LD_RUNPATH_SEARCH_PATHS settings for extension target. Is this a known limitation of XCode when using SPM?

SwiftUI Previews broken on local Swift Package with dependencies
I have a project with two local packages One client package with an interface and some models with dynamic type in the Package.Swift One feature package with the UI and a dependency to the client package When I try to preview a view that is not using any models or code from the client package, it loads just fine e.g. a view that is just a container to display things like a card But when I tried to preview any other view that actually uses models from the client package, it just fails the first few lines of the preview error display LinkDylibError: Failed to build <filename>.swift Linking failed: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) ld: warning: search path '/Applications/Xcode-15.4.0.app/Contents/SharedFrameworks-iphonesimulator' not found Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: Also, I'm using Xcode 15.4 and iOS 17 as the min version

Xcode 16 unable to fetch a Swift Package from a private Gitlab repo
I am trying to add a Swift Package from a private Gitlab repository to my Xcode 16 project, and it fails. First symptom is Unable to load the Read Me in the Xcode SPM package browser. And when I add the package, I get a repo.git could not be resolved error. I've used ProxyMan to sniff the network calls issued by Xcode, and it looks like my Gitlab credentials are not provided as part of the GET request when, for example, Xcode tries to fetch the README.md file from the repository. And when I try to add the package, there are no HTTP network calls issued by Xcode at all. I have tried adding a Gitlab account to Xcode's Accounts preference pane, and entering the repository's credentials directly when adding the package. Both yield the same result. Here's a screen capture of Xcode trying to fetch the README: https://share.cleanshot.com/FNRHm6fq I am unable to test this in Xcode 15, as I have upgraded my Mac to Sequoia and Xcode 15 can't be installed on this version of macOS. I have submitted FB15370281 for this issue.

How to I archive macros into a static library as xcframework?
I'm trying to make an xcframework from my static library (SPM btw) with macros. My script doesn't work properly My SPM declaration of macros: // swift-tools-version: 5.9 // The swift-tools-version declares the minimum version of Swift required to build this package. import CompilerPluginSupport import PackageDescription let package = Package( name: "SomeMacr", platforms: [.macOS(.v10_15), .iOS(.v13), .tvOS(.v13), .macCatalyst(.v13)], products: [ .library( name: "SomeMacr", targets: ["SomeMacr"] ), .executable( name: "SomeMacrClient", targets: ["SomeMacrClient"] ) ], dependencies: [ .package(url: "https://github.com/apple/swift-syntax.git", from: "509.0.0") ], targets: [ .macro( name: "SomeMacrMacros", dependencies: [ .product(name: "SwiftSyntaxMacros", package: "swift-syntax"), .product(name: "SwiftCompilerPlugin", package: "swift-syntax") ] ), .target(name: "SomeMacr", dependencies: ["SomeMacrMacros"]), .executableTarget(name: "SomeMacrClient", dependencies: ["SomeMacr"]), .testTarget( name: "SomeMacrTests", dependencies: [ "SomeMacrMacros", .product(name: "SwiftSyntaxMacrosTestSupport", package: "swift-syntax") ] ) ] ) My .sh script: xcodebuild archive \ -scheme $1 \ -sdk iphoneos \ -archivePath "Products/archives/ios_devices.xcarchive" \ SKIP_INSTALL=NO \ BUILD_LIBRARY_FOR_DISTRIBUTION=YES xcodebuild archive \ -scheme $1 \ -sdk iphonesimulator \ -archivePath "Products/archives/ios_simulators.xcarchive" \ SKIP_INSTALL=NO \ BUILD_LIBRARY_FOR_DISTRIBUTION=YES xcodebuild archive \ -scheme $1 \ -sdk macosx \ -archivePath "Products/archives/macos.xcarchive" \ SKIP_INSTALL=NO \ BUILD_LIBRARY_FOR_DISTRIBUTION=YES xcodebuild -create-xcframework \ -library Products/archives/ios_devices.xcarchive/Products/Library/Frameworks/lib$1.a \ -library Products/archives/ios_simulators.xcarchive/Products/Library/Frameworks/lib$1.a \ -library Products/archives/macos.xcarchive/Products/Library/Frameworks/lib$1.a \ -output Products/xc/$1.xcframework It requires destination (But in other tutorials, authors clearly shows, that after this script I will get an xcframework) xcodebuild: error: Building a Swift package requires that a destination is provided using the "-destination" option. The "-showdestinations" option can be used to list the available destinations But when I setup the destination it was compiled to exec file, which I don't mind how to include to another SPM package / or xcframework What am I doing wrong?

SwiftData Document-based app produces strange write errors
I have a document app built using SwiftData because frankly I'm too lazy to learn how to use FileDocument. The app's title is "Artsheets," and I'm using a document type that my app owns: com.wannafedor4.ArtsheetsDoc. The exported type identifier has these values: Description: Artsheets Document Identifier: com.wannafedor4.ArtsheetsDoc Conforms to: com.apple.package Reference URL: (none) Extensions: artsheets MIME Types: (none) And the code: ArtsheetsApp.swift import SwiftUI import SwiftData @main struct ArtsheetsApp: App { var body: some Scene { DocumentGroup(editing: Sheet.self, contentType: .package) { EditorView() } } } Document.swift import SwiftUI import SwiftData import UniformTypeIdentifiers @Model final class Sheet { var titleKey: String @Relationship(deleteRule: .cascade) var columns: [Column] init(titleKey: String, columns: [Column]) { self.titleKey = titleKey self.columns = columns } } @Model final class Column: Identifiable { var titlekey: String var text: [String] init(titlekey: String, text: [String]) { self.titlekey = titlekey self.text = text } } extension UTType { static var artsheetsDoc = UTType(exportedAs: "com.wannafedor4.artsheetsDoc") } I compiling for my iPhone 13 works, but then when creating a document I get this error: Failed to create document. Error: Error Domain=com.apple.DocumentManager Code=2 "No location available to save “Untitled”." UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=No location available to save “Untitled”., NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=Enable at least one location to be able to save documents.}
