Unable to install an app extension when running it for debugging
I've got an app with several app extensions (call extension, action extension, notification service extension, message filtering extension, notification content extension). If I need to interactively debug these then I can select the scheme and run the extension within Xcode for all of them except for the notification content extension, with that I get an error dialog summary saying: Failed to install the app on the device / The provided item to be installed is not of a type that CoreDevice recognizes. Which when expanded has the blumpf posted below. Why can I not run the notification content extension, when I can run any other type of app extension? Failed to install the app on the device. There is a mapping issue between the physical buttons of the Matter switch and the buttons on the Apple Home App.
My device is a Matter switch with 12 buttons, but its physical buttons do not correspond to the button icons displayed in the Apple Home App. The mapping between them is chaotic, for example, physical button 1 is mapped to button icon 3, and physical button 2 is mapped to button icon 7, without any pattern. And every time the factory settings are restored and the network is reconfigured, the mapping will be different from the last time, and restoring the factory settings will change it again. I have checked my program and I am certain that the events triggered by physical buttons correspond correctly to the Matter Generic Switch Endpoint in the ZCL file. I don't understand why there was such a mistake. I am using GSDK 4.4.1, Silicon Labs Matter 2.2.1-1.2. I asked the manufacturer of the chip (the staff of Silicon Labs), and they said that the corresponding order displayed on the app is determined by the APP side, and has nothing to do with Matter devices, is this a problem caused by Apple's system, and if so, is there any solution?

Issues with Multicast Operations using NWConnectionGroup and NWMulticastGroup
Hello, I've been encountering some challenges while working with NWConnectionGroup and NWMulticastGroup for multicast operations on iOS. I have a few doubts and issues that I would like to address: 1. NWMulticastGroup Initialization It seems that when initializing NWMulticastGroup, only one NWEndpoint can be passed, and attempting to pass multiple endpoints results in failure. Can someone confirm if this behavior is correct? 2. Interface Level Control Upon initializing NWConnectionGroup, it appears that packets are received on all interfaces without the ability to control this at the interface level. Is this correct? If not is there a way to configure NWConnectionGroup to receive packets on all interfaces? 3. Sending Behavior During the send operation, it appears that the data is sent through any one of the available interfaces, and there doesn't seem to be an option to configure it to send through all available endpoints. Is there a way to enable sending data through all available endpoints? Any insights, guidance, or solutions to these issues would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone else encountered similar problems or found workarounds for these limitations? Thank you for your assistance and support. Thanks, Harshal

inApps/v2/history/ of AppleStoreServerAPI
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/get-v2-history-_transactionid I would like to inquire about the detailed triggers for updating receipts in this API specification. Recently, I was using this API with sort=DESCENDING&revoked=false to retrieve the expiration date of the most recent receipt and determine the subscription status. However, for some reason, an old receipt with an earlier expiration date appeared as the first receipt, and I would like to know the reason for this. Can you provide information on what specific events or actions trigger the updating of receipts in this API? Also, regarding https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appstoreserverapi/status, will statuses 3 and 4 not be returned in the response unless the billing grace period is enabled in the App Store?

Persist and deliver scheduled local notifications after app update
I have an app available for download in the Apple App Store. The app sends local notifications, which are scheduled at the user's request once the app launches. I've recently learned that when new versions of my app are deployed and automatically update on the user's device, previously scheduled local notifications are deleted. Given my app design, the user can re-launch the app in order to re-schedule the local notifications. This is a bit of a problem, though, because part of my app's value is in reminding the user - so after requesting a local notification, the user expects to receive a local notification and then launch the app, not the other way around. Given this, I've been exploring solutions so my app continues to function as expected (including delivering local notifications, even if the app hasn't yet been launched) after an app update. I've explored .backgroundTasks(), but they too are apparently deleted with an app update and require the app to be re-launched first to work as expected. Another solution might be to use push notifications instead of local notifications, but that seems like a very involved solution if I'm just looking to make sure that local notifications persist after an app update. I can't be the only person to have this dilemma - am I overlooking a simple solution?

API to check Core Spotlight storage limit
There's a 128mb limit for donating items to core spotlight. As far as I understand, there's a warning that shows in the Xcode console when either approaching or hitting that limit. It would be great if there was an API to check the current status of available storage for QA purposes to see if we're either donating too much or can donate more. Thanks!

Business model changes by using the app transaction
Hello, I’m trying to change my business model within the app, and following Apple’s documentation guidelines HERE I created this task in the main view of the app. It seems to work perfectly in the simulator, on physical devices, and on TestFlight. However, after releasing it to production and uploading the new version to the App Store, it doesn’t work, and all users, whether new or existing, are asked to subscribe. In the console, it appears to retrieve the transactions correctly, but in production, I’m not sure how to view the console or see what it’s retrieving. Here the sandbox receipt I obtained AppTransaction.shared obtained: { "applicationVersion" : "1", "bundleId" : "com.anestesiaIB.Drugs-Infusion-Calc", "deviceVerification" : "6M0Nnw14nSEOBVTPE\/\/EfnWSwLm7LFSlrpFEwxgH74SBHp5dSzBEm896Uvo42mwr", "deviceVerificationNonce" : "8a8238c0-0aee-41e6-bfb0-1cfc52b70fb6", "originalApplicationVersion" : "1.0", "originalPurchaseDate" : 1375340400000, "receiptCreationDate" : 1737577840917, "receiptType" : "Sandbox", "requestDate" : 1737577840917 } This are the processing log while verified the receipt New business model change: 1.7 Original versionéis components: ["1", "0"] Major version: 1, Minor version: 0 This user is premium. Original version: 1.0 This is my task... .task { do { let shared = try await AppTransaction.shared if case .verified(let appTransaction) = shared { let newBusinessModelVersion = (1, 7) // Representado como (major, minor) let versionComponents = appTransaction.originalAppVersion.split(separator: ".") if let majorVersion = versionComponents.first.flatMap({ Int($0) }), let minorVersion = versionComponents.dropFirst().first.flatMap({ Int($0) }) { if (majorVersion, minorVersion) < newBusinessModelVersion { self.premiumStatus.isPremium = true isPremium = true } else { let customerInfo = try await Purchases.shared.customerInfo() self.premiumStatus.isPremium = customerInfo.entitlements["premium"]?.isActive == true isPremium = self.premiumStatus.isPremium } } else { print("Error: obteining version components") } } else { print("Not verified") } } catch { print("Error processing transaction: \(error.localizedDescription)") } }

Local Network privacy blocking my app when it shouldn't
I have read the other most relevant posts on this topic here and here. However, the situations described in these posts are different. My app is just a regular Mach-O bundle with a single executable that is launched by the user from the Finder. I've read the Local Network Privacy FAQ and TN3179 carefully and these also doesn't cover the problem described below, which is being reported to me by several of my users. The problem is that some days after giving Local Network permission to my app, without having changed anything, local network connections will spontaneously start failing with EHOSTUNREACH, indicating that it is being blocked by macOS. This typically happens after a Mac reboot. Toggling off/on the Local Network permission for my app will get it working again, until the next time it fails. My users who are reporting this have stated that they are running macOS Sonoma 15.2, with only a single version/copy of my app installed. I've tried, and failed, to reproduce this in a VM with a clean 15.2 system, but maybe this is due to the relatively short duration of my testing (days rather than weeks). I know there isn't much to go on here, and it may be tempting to put this down to misreporting. After all, the vast majority of my users aren't reporting this, and I can't reproduce it. But, I have received enough similar reports at this point that it's starting to feel like a macOS bug. Is anyone else seeing this? If there is anything that anyone can suggest - either modifications in my app, or anything that my users can do on their side - this would be very much appreciated! Many thanks, Ben

Store Kit Set up
I'm working on my first subscription for an app I've built, and can't seem to figure out where I'm going wrong with this one whether it's something in Xcode or App Store Connect. Any idea where to start? Somethings to check. TIA.

MapkitJS Snapshot
I am having issues loading in a mapkit snapshot. I get an error saying that https://domain.com and they're expecting domain.com. I have no idea what could be going wrong here. I set the domains properly in the mapkit tokens. When I click on the link it opens a new tab and loads what the data properly, but somehow in the application on production this error comes up.

ShortCuts: Send email with email address as a parameter
Hello everyone, I would like to dictate a text with Shortcuts and then send it to one of two e-mail addresses (private or business). I would like to be able to select one of two email addresses. Unfortunately, I am not able to pass an email address as a parameter to the Send email function. Is it possible to do this? I'm new to apple and I'm all but not a programmer. So take pity on me :) Best, Niko

iOS ANCS and GATT Service Changed Characteristic
I am working with an open source watch called PineTime to implement ANCS support so users can receive iOS notifications in the watch. I am having g trouble discovering the ANCS on an iOS device. The watch is properly paired and bonded. I realize that the ANCS may not always be present, so I also subscribed to the GATT Service changed characteristic, but never received a notification/indication for a service becoming active. Is there something I am missing? Thanks!

CloudKit: Application has malformed entitlements
Hey, For some reason I see crashes for my iOS app related to CloudKit entitlements. The crash happens on start up and it says: "CKException - Application has malformed entitlements. Found value "*" for entitlement com.apple.developer.icloud-services, expected an array of strings" I have checked my entitlements of the same build on App Store Connect and it shows "com.apple.developer.icloud-services: ( "CloudKit" )" So I am not sure why users are having this issue. I haven't been able to reproduce it. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks

Inquiry About Background Permission Issue in My App
I am writing to address a concern regarding the background permission functionality in my app, which is critical for ensuring user safety as they navigate various terrains. This feature also enables users to smoothly record their navigation tracks for review after their activities. Recently, I've noticed that this functionality is not working as seamlessly as before. Additionally, I observed that the app is not categorized under 'health and fitness'—could reclassifying it improve background activity? Before I delve into a detailed code review, I wanted to check if this issue might be related to sync or settings on the App Store side, such as permission configurations, app updates, or other related factors. Or, is it more likely an issue stemming from the app’s codebase?
