Since updating to Xcode 15, I've noticed that the app is SUPER slow while running with the debugger. I've figured out that it seems to be due to that the debugger is defaulting to wifi-connection, even tho the phone is connected via cable. I can fix the slowness by turning off wifi on my phone, because then the debugger will use the cable and the app will run as normally (pre Xcode 15.0). What's the cause of having the "Connect via network"-checkmark disabled? Why can't I just uncheck it and do my own choice?

Hello, found the following curious behaviour, If I try to run from within xcode (pressing Run) the following code: #include <unistd.h> int main(int argc, const char * argv[]) { char *args[] = {"/bin/ls", "-r", "-t", "-l", (char *) 0 }; execv(args[0], args); return 0; } the program does not print the expected list of files and folders but instead exits with: Message from debugger: Terminated due to signal 5 Program ended with exit code: 5 But if I try to run the exact same compiled program from the terminal, it works as expected. I lost so many hours wondering what I was doing wrong, but apparently it was the xcode console that does not play nice with execing? Could it be that changing the process image throws a wrench into xcode? Anybody has any idea why this could be? Thanks.

When i download my App from my device it works. If I open it in Testflight its works. If someone else tries to start the App, it crashes instantly. The App runs in Flutter without any problems. I have an iOS app that runs fine on iOS 17.0.2 but crashes on iOS 16.6.1 with the following error. I did not have this issue with older version of Xcode. I have attached the crashlog. Hello, one days ago I have publish and release my new application on Appstore, right now my users who download and access the application have complain that the application is crash, and can't open in their iPhone with 16.x iOS versions. I have developed the application using Xcode 15 and normally for simulator with 17.x iOS versions. How can I know the problem with my application? And if I try run on the simulator using 16.4 iOS versions, it worked normally. Can apple teams help me to find what must I do and why my application is crash even it is have approved from Apple Team Reviewer. Thanks.

I have connected my iPad running iPadOS 17 to Xcode 15 via a Thunderbolt cable (the same connection I have used with Xcode 14 and earlier), and debugging has become a nightmare. It's been stuck on the "Copying shared symbols from iPad" step for a long time, and I can't even get my iPhone to work with the wireless debugging (it always fails). It appears to be using wireless debugging to connect, despite the physical cable between the devices. The "Connect via network" option is enabled in the Organisation window, but is greyed out so it cannot be modified. How can I disable wireless debugging and return to the standard method using the high speed cable that connects the devices? I'm hoping this is a bug that will be fixed shortly, and not the new method for connectivity when debugging. Thanks.

I’ve tried many times to reproduce the crash that apple is reporting and I have submitted the build 3 times with small changes to apple and they are consistently reporting there is a crash occurring. I have tested on 3 different ipads with ios 16 and 17 and I am unable to reproduce the crash. IIs anyone else facing the issue of the icon experiment in Xcode 15? I've followed all the same steps that I used to do in Xcode 13 or 14, but ever since I updated to Xcode 15, the icon doesn't appear in the console when I repeat the same steps.

I have a program that uses 3 different windows, each in their own window group. In a button I can use openWindow() to call another window and it works perfectly. I watched the video at the link below and now am trying to convert my program to use a navigation stack instead of buttons. I got things to work using the code listed at the link with a few changes but am unable to get the navigation destination to use openWindow. I attempted to create a view builder but could not get it to work. After some additional research I am starting to think that the navigation destination expects to use the same window as the root view not a separate window/view and therefore, navigation destination wants just a view. But I am unsure. Unfortunately I can not get swiftdata to work for me. I created a brand new project in Xcode, modified no code and the program fails with this error. Only thing I did was add an iCloud container. The default code that you are given for a swiftadata object is: @Model final class Item { var timestamp: Date init(timestamp: Date) { self.timestamp = timestamp } } Xcode wants that values in this model to ether be optional or have a default value. I thought this was a bug that had been fixed, but I am on the latest Xcode. I am not sure how to proceed. If the default code Xcode gives you won't compile, how am I able to code my own?
