Dear Apple Review Team & Develpers! Could anyone clarify why Apple Reviewers, when rejecting the app under Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam, do not provide any specific details? Each time my app is rejected, I receive a generic, automated response. In contrast, I provide detailed information and request clarification on the exact reasons for the rejection- specifically, what aspects of the app do not meet Apple's requirements. However, the responses I receive are always the same standard message without any useful details. Am I correct in understanding that the review process is entirely automated, with no human evaluation, resulting in repetitive, unhelpful replies? I would appreciate a more detailed response that can genuinely help me address the issue and ensure my app complies with Apple's guidelines. Here is their standard generic response to any my reply where I provide details and ask questions, but Apple Reviewer answer alsway with the same text: Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam

Dating app removed for 4.3 design spam. What would be the easiest way to get approved again?
Hi, Our business has recently been dealing with getting our app rejected for 4.3 Design Spam. I've sent an appeal and sent a follow up as we weren't hearing back. For context, we've been getting this as our rejection w.o any specific reasons for us to address. We've been in the app store over 3 years and have been compliant throughout and to suddenly get this while trying to push new content, fixes, and updates to our new users has put a hindrance to our business. All our code and designs were build in house (and or used from open source sdks) and we have mechanics that are unique to our app. We want to continue to be compliant, but to just be left in the dark isn't exactly productive of both of our times. Thank You
Dear App Store Review Team, We have made the necessary changes to our app, addressing any elements that might have caused similarities with other apps, such as shared open-source components. However, our app is still being rejected under Guideline 4.3. We are unclear on the specific reason for this. Could you please clarify which app our app is being compared to? Is the similarity in the code or the design? If it's the design, could you provide further guidance on which parts are considered similar? With a limited number of UI styles available, we are unsure if it is essential to create a completely unique design to comply with Guideline 4.3. Our app distinguishes itself through its operations, such as having a 99% message delivery success rate and providing superior service. However, these differences may not be immediately visible within the app itself. We would greatly appreciate clearer feedback and more specific advice on how to address this issue. Additionally, we are curious why our a

Here is what we got.Our Apple Developer Program account has 21 games in sale. Last year we wanted to update one of them and we got a rejection of 4.3-Design. The Review Team suggested us to combine our apps into a single container app. Then we spent about three months to develop a brand new version which three of our apps were included in one. But when we submitted this version, we still got a rejection of 4.3-Design. Now we are so confused about how to solve this issue. Should we combine all 21 games into one? Or should we remove all other 20 games from sale to make this one's update approved? We are planning to keep just one of our apps in sale and remove all the others. The review team just do the copy and paste work and they didn't answer any of our questions. Could anybody tell us how can we update our app?
Hi guys, The ultimate carnage 2 is the sequel to the ultimate carnage on the app store. Witch is my own games. The game is totally different, it adds many new game modes, graphics and performance improvements. So I don't understand why it was rejected under 4.3 Design spam guidelines. How can I get my game to be accepted ? Thank you!
Hello, Appeal Ticket: APL149985 Thank you for your patience as we considered your appeal. The App Review Board determined that the original rejection feedback was valid. Your app does not comply with: 4.3(a) - Design During our review, we found that this app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps submitted to the App Store, which is considered a form of spam and not appropriate for the App Store. Apps submitted to the App Store should be unique and should not duplicate other apps. We encourage you to create a unique app to submit to the App Store. For more information about developing apps for the App Store, visit the Develop section of the Apple Developer website. We appreciate your efforts to resolve this issue and look forward to reviewing your revised submission. Our team has recently encountered a tricky issue: our game app was rejected during the App Store review process due to Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. We firmly believe this to be a miscarriage of judgment, as our game app is entirely self-developed and does not copy or imitate any other app. We've noted that the App Store review team may have considered our app to share similar binaries, metadata, and/or concepts with other apps on the App Store. However, we would like to emphasize that our team has invested a significant amount of time, effort, and creativity in developing this app. Despite our best efforts, our app was still rejected. We are sincerely seeking help and advice from the Apple Developer Forums community. Have any other developers encountered a similar situation, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Dear,We saw that many topics here are relared to that, but we could not find any reasonable solution, that's why there's another case of study. We publish magazines from very different publishers. Each magazine has their own content, trademark, subscribers... each publisher hires us to publish their content inside an individual and most of times custom apps. We don't work with apps generator, we develop in native language all the source code and we compile each app.As they all are magazines, they are very similar and have the same concept. I mean, magazines are magazines everywhere, we can't change their format... all magazines will have a download option, next, previous, forward, backward buttons, subscriber and buying system... there's no great news about it.However, Apple rejected some apps saying that it doesn't follow the 4.2/4.3 guidelines and recommended that we put all apps inside a container. Well, i don't need to say that it's not possible...What to do?Apple is doing that against small compa

I have stuck with 4.3 policy for around 1 month. I don't understand Apple reviewer kept hitting me with 4.2 policy without further explain the problem. I do refer to other app and copy some code from stack overflow, how do I know which part is causing the problem. My app provide better soothing sound quality and the UI is all different. Thanks, kindly advise .....

My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam What does that mean exactly? I took extra pictures with the phone from the app and upload to APP Store and the same thing over and over again (Guideline 4.3 - Design - Spam) just the question Why don't you want to unlock it? what is spam? The APP Or the pictures? If the APP is spam why? That means One user cannot create two different websites with Various APP An e.g. I have a social network I want to do then a dating site On the dating app I only get a message saying it's spam Funny what's in an APP is spam? Because dating app? Or can a user not make multiple page APPs because it almost looks like this? Then that means BMW can't make new BMWs because the new BWM also has 4 doors and 4 wheels or how should I understand that? which is still funny on Google Play the same APP is not spam
My game has been updated steadily every week on the appstore for several months. When I submitted the updated version for review recently, it was rejected by 4.3, saying that my game has no characteristics. However, there is no other game with unique features such as custom skills on the appstore except my game, so I am puzzled and hope to be re-reviewed. There is another problem. My game has accumulated a part of users on the appstore user side. They are anxious because they cannot update to the latest version and urge me to solve the Apple version update problem quickly. I hope Apple can give me, an individual developer and Apple mobile phone users, a practical solution to this problem, instead of just a 4.3 rejection without specifying the specific reason.
Hello, our game Nerd Survivors has been identified as spam. The game is based on an original IP and the only games that should share any resemblance with it are from our company. Today we got notified the rejection due to the violation of Guideline 4.3 but there is no reference to the other application or even a contact to the other developer. We do use Unity as our game engine, so some parts of the code might be shared across different games, but i cannot find any other justification of the failure. Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences. Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.
