Reply to System-wide deadlock in removexattr from revisiond / APFS
We're experiencing a deadlock on certains systems when our software is installed, which is causing side effects in our process (and likely others) such as blocked queues and increased memory usage. According to the spindump, revisiond appears to be holding an exclusive lock within the kernel. Can you file a bug on this and upload the full spindump there? That's the easiest way to transfer large data files and I may eventually want a sysdiagnose. Having said that... Our agent uses Endpoint Security Framework to monitor events, and provide anti-tamper functionality for installed components and processes. While several EndpointSecurity calls appear in the spindump stack traces, we don't have any evidence that any calls from revisiond were blocked. ...this is almost CERTAINLY caused by your ES client. What we'd really like to to understand what that lock is (appears to be decompressing an object on an APFS volume), what revisiond and APFS are doing with it, and what might cause it to deadlock. Y

Unable to capture only the cursor in macOS Tahoe
Precondition: In system settings, scale the pointer size up to the max. Our SCScreenshotManager code currently works in macOS 15 and earlier to capture the cursor at it's larger size, but broke in one of the minor releases of macOS Tahoe. The error it produces now is Failed to start stream due to audio/video capture failure. This only seems to happen with the cursor window, not any others. Another way to get the cursor is with https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nscursor/currentsystem, but that is now deprecated, which makes me think the capture of the cursor is being blocked deliberately. We see this as a critical loss of functionality for our apps, and could use guidance on what to use instead.

DeviceActivityMonitor extension rejected by App Store Connect validator — NSExtensionPointIdentifier "com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor" invalid (IrisAPI -19241)
Hi everyone, I'm building an iOS app that uses a DeviceActivityMonitor app extension as part of the Screen Time / Family Controls API. Every time I try to upload my IPA to App Store Connect, the validation fails with this error: Invalid Info.plist value. The value of the NSExtensionPointIdentifier key, com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor, in the Info.plist of 'Alexandria.app/PlugIns/AlexandriaActivityMonitor.appex' is invalid. Error Domain=IrisAPI Code=-19241, iris-code=STATE_ERROR.VALIDATION_ERROR What I have verified (everything looks correct): NSExtensionPointIdentifier = com.apple.deviceactivity.monitor NSExtensionPrincipalClass = AlexandriaActivityMonitor.AlexandriaActivityMonitorExtension (correctly resolved in the compiled binary, verified with plutil -p) The Swift class correctly subclasses DeviceActivityMonitor CFBundleShortVersionString matches the main app Both the main app and extension provisioning profiles explicitly contain com.apple.developer.family-controls = true (verified by inspecting embedde

TestFlight External Build Stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for 32+ Hours
Hi everyone, My TestFlight build has been stuck in 'Waiting for Review' for over 32 hours and I'm hoping someone can help or share their experience. The situation: I have an External Testing group with a Public Link set up. The build was submitted for Beta App Review on March 19th but it's been over 32 hours with no update. I have 25+ testers waiting to install the app. What I've tried: Waited patiently Checked App Store Connect multiple times No rejection emails received No issues flagged by Apple Questions: Is anyone else experiencing unusually long review times for TestFlight external builds right now? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process or check if something is wrong? Has anyone successfully resolved this by contacting Apple Developer Support directly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Apple Support Case ID: 102846633409

Stuck “Waiting for review” status
Hi! Our app(ID: 6754461151) has been stuck in Waiting for Review since March 3, 2026 - 17 days with no movement. This is our second consecutive submission with the same issue: Version 1.0.2: Submitted February 7, 2026. Waited 24 days with no review activity, no feedback, no communication. Were forced to withdraw it on March 3. Version 1.0.3: Submitted immediately after on March 3, 2026. Now at 17 days - same result. In total, our update has been blocked for 41 days across two submissions. Steps we've already taken: Submitted an Expedited Review Request 7 days ago - no response Contacted App Review Status support Verified App Review Information is complete: demo credentials and invite code are provided Confirmed all agreements and banking details are up to date We also have new IAP subscriptions in In Review status since March 11 (9 days), which may be contributing to the delay. We're not sure if there is something in our submission that requires attention. We are fully prepared to make any necessary

AccessoryNotification Demo
I am planning to run the AccessoryNotifications framework on xcode26.4 and ios26.4, please refer to the documentation https://developer.apple.com/documentation/accessorynotifications I couldn't find a complete demo, but I found a demo based on AccessorySetup Kit, ASK Sample https://docs-assets.developer.apple.com/published/89f5eef578ef/SettingUpAndAuthorizingABluetoothAccessory.zip. So I plan to practice the entire process of AccessoryNotifications based on this demo. Find accessories based on ASK Sample and connect them, OK Call requestForwarding (for:), OK Add AccessoryData Provider extension to receive system notifications But this step failed. I added an extension according to the documentation, but the following method will not be executed func activate(for session: NotificationsForwarding.Session) func add(notification: AccessoryNotification alertingContext: AlertingContext, alertCoordinator: AlertCoordinating) {} I found the following error log in console.app Error 16:38:17.582340+0800 usernot

Reply to spctl --type install rejects notarized .pkg on macOS 26 Tahoe (26.3)
Thank you Quinn! Here's the direct download link to the installer package: https://github.com/Nakanokappei/window-resize/releases/download/v2.0/Window.Resize.pkg This is a Developer ID Installer–signed and notarized .pkg built with productbuild --sign. The .zip distribution of the same app passes Gatekeeper without issue. For reference, here's what I see: # Signature is valid pkgutil --check-signature Window Resize.pkg # → signed by Developer ID Installer certificate # Notarization succeeded xcrun stapler validate Window Resize.pkg # → The validate action worked! # But spctl rejects it spctl -a --type install Window Resize.pkg # → rejected # syspolicyd log shows # meetsDeveloperIDLegacyAllowedPolicy = 0 The productbuild --sign does emit Warning: unable to build chain to self-signed root but security verify-cert confirms the cert chain is valid. Happy to file a bug with the .pkg attached if that's easier for you.

It’s quite common for Mac apps to use libraries created by other developers, and they retain library validation by re-signing those libraries. Is there something preventing you from doing that in this case? The most obvious case where folks need to disable library validation is that their app supports in-process plug-ins, where those plug-ins are built and shipped by other third-party developers in a way that’s completely independent of the main app’s vendor. Is that what’s happening here? Because if you’re managing these plug-in releases then it’d be better to have you re-sign the plug-in and leave library valida

App rejected for 4.3(a) duplicate, but it's the same app (rebranding update)
Hello, I am facing a rejection under Guideline 4.3(a) - Spam for duplicate apps. However, this submission is an update of an existing app (same bundle identifier), not a new app. The update only includes a company rebranding (name, icon, and screenshots). At the moment, we only have one app with this functionality available on the App Store, and we are not intentionally distributing multiple apps targeting the same users or storefronts. The review team mentioned that the app duplicates another app we submitted, but we are unable to identify which app they are referring to. Has anyone experienced a similar issue where Apple flagged a duplicate app even though only one app is live? How did you resolve it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
