New features for APNs token authentication now available
Team-scoped keys introduce the ability to restrict your token authentication keys to either development or production environments. Topic-specific keys in addition to environment isolation allow you to associate each key with a specific Bundle ID streamlining key management. For detailed instructions on accessing these features, read our updated documentation on establishing a token-based connection to APNs.

React-native-map. LongPress callback not working
Summary The onLongPress callback on MapViewcomponent is not working on iOS devices. The callback is properly implemented but never gets triggered on iOS, while it works as expected on Android. Reproducible sample code <MapView onLongPress={(e) => { console.log("onLongPress", e); setAddLocation(e.nativeEvent.coordinate); }} // ... other props Steps to reproduce Just put onLongPress callback on MapView and notice it won't be triggered. Expected result Long press on the map should trigger the onLongPress callback The callback should receive the event object with coordinates Actual result Long press on the map does not trigger the callback on iOS No console logs are shown when long pressing The functionality works as expected on Android React Native Maps Version 1.23.8 What platforms are you seeing the problem on? iOS (Apple Maps) React Native Version 0.79.2 What version of Expo are you using? How to mount custom FSKit-based file system in Finder?
Hi, I'm working with the new FSKit framework and have successfully implemented a custom file system using FSUnaryFileSystem. Mounting the file system via Terminal works perfectly — I can create, delete, and browse files and directories as expected. Since /Volumes is protected on modern macOS systems, I cannot mount my file system there directly. Instead, I mount it into a different writable directory (e.g., /tmp/MyFS) and then create a symbolic link to it in a user-visible location such as ~/Downloads/MyFS. Finder does see the symlink and displays it with a "Volume" icon, but clicking it results in an error — it cannot be opened. It seems like Finder does not treat the symlinked mount as a fully functional volume. Is there a proper way to register or announce a FSKit-mounted file system so that Finder lists it as a real volume and allows access to it? Are there additional steps (APIs, notifications, entitlements, or Info.plist keys) required to integrate with Finder? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SwiftData: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifierImplementation) was remapped to a temporary identifier during save
I'm seeing a lot of these in my logs: PersistentIdentifier PersistentIdentifier(id: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifier.ID(url: x-swiftdata://Course/BC9CF99A-DE6A-46F1-A18D-8034255A56D8), implementation: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifierImplementation) was remapped to a temporary identifier during save: PersistentIdentifier(id: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifier.ID(url: x-coredata:///Course/t58C849CD-D895-4773-BF53-3F63CF48935B210), implementation: SwiftData.PersistentIdentifierImplementation). This is a fatal logic error in DefaultStore ... though everything seems to work. Does anyone know what this means in this context? Anything I can do to not have this appear?

Location updates in background…
Hello, I’ve done a lot of testing of location services running in background with various settings, but in all scenarios location updates pause after a couple of hours, especially overnight In sleep mode. My app, for personal safety, requires regular location updates to 5m accuracy every minute. The only solution I have found is to keep the app in foreground. Location always stops updating. Background mode stops updating. Live location services stops updating. Is there a solution I may have missed other than keeping app in foreground? thank you, Brendan

Login issues on CloudKit Console
Hi everyone In the last 24 hours, I’ve been running into some issues with the CloudKit console. Most of the time, I‘ll get an error stating an error has caused this web page to stop working correctly. Reloading doesn’t fix the issue, nor does using different browsers: Today I’ve got another error, something along the lines of the Console not being able to fetch the teams I’m assigned to and an XHF error pop-up. Has anyone encountered the same issues? After trying multiple times, I’m able to reach my database but it’s a bit frustrating as it’s very unreliable this way. Thanks for your feedback! Dave

Does scheduling a price change of a subscription while keeping the original price for existing subscribers trigger messaging to those users?
We're planning on increasing the price of our ios in-app subscription. We will select the option "Keep the current price for existing subscribers" Reading this https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-subscriptions/manage-pricing-for-auto-renewable-subscriptions/, it's not clear if existing subscribers will be notified of the change in pricing (even though that change won't impact them) or not?

appTransactionID behavior on logout
The appTransactionID was recently introduced and is documented here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/apptransaction/apptransactionid From the documentation: "The App Store generates a single, globally unique appTransactionID for each Apple Account that downloads your app and for each family group member for apps that support Family Sharing." This seems like a really useful identifier, so I was wondering about some edge cases of when using it: What happens if a user logs out of his AppStore account and keeps using the app? Is it available when the app is installed from Xcode? is it possible to set it to some value using StoreKit testing? Thanks

Speech recognition
Hello, I’ve followed all the steps you recommended and confirmed that the entitlement is correctly added in Xcode, but the provisioning profile still fails. I believe the issue is that my App ID com.echo.eyes.app is missing the com.apple.developer.speech-recognition entitlement on Apple’s end. Could you please manually add this entitlement to my App ID, or guide me on how to get it attached? I’ve already added it locally and confirmed the error in Xcode is due to it not being in the provisioning profile. .

ModelContext.model(for:) returns deleted objects
I'm writing some tests to confirm the behavior of my app. White creating a model actor to delete objects I realized that ModelContext.model(for:) does return objects that are deleted. I was able to reproduces this with this minimal test case: @Model class Activity { init() {} } struct MyLibraryTests { let modelContainer = try! ModelContainer( for: Activity.self, configurations: ModelConfiguration( isStoredInMemoryOnly: true ) ) init() throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) context.insert(Activity()) try context.save() } @Test func modelForIdAfterDelete() async throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) let id = try context.fetch(FetchDescriptor<Activity>()).first!.id context.delete(context.model(for: id) as! Activity) try context.save() let result = context.model(for: id) as? Activity #expect(result == nil) // Expectation failed: (result → MyLibrary.Activity) == nil } @Test func fetchDescriptorAfterDelete() async throws { let context = ModelContext(modelContainer) let id = try context.fetch(FetchDescriptor<Activity>()).first!.id context.delete(context.model(for: id) as! Activity) try context.save() let result = try context.fetch( FetchDescriptor<Activity>(predicate: #Predicate { $0.id == id }) ).first #expect(result == nil) } } Here I create a new context, insert an model and save it. The test modelForIdAfterDelete does fail, as result still contains the deleted object. I also tried to check #expect(result!.isDeleted), but it is also false. With the second test I use a FetchDescriptor to retrieve the object by ID and it correctly returns nil. Shouldn't both methods use a consistent behavior?

CLLocationManager not opening terminated app in background when user terminated app.
We have background location updates enabled in our app that updates the location on our servers to deliver realtime weather alerts. We see that we are receiving these location updates when the app is backgrounded by the user. However, when the user removes our app from the background using the App Switcher, we no longer see notifications happening. We have the app delegate's "didFinishLaunchingWithOptions" method setup to check for .location in the launch options, and start location tracking immediately. Is it the intention of the OS to no longer send our app background location updates if the user manually removes our app from the background?

Screen Time API: How to map bundleIdentifier to ApplicationToken for DeviceActivityMonitor when FamilyActivitySelection.Application.bundleIdentifier is nil?
I'm using FamilyActivityPicker to get consent for app/category management, which returns a FamilyActivitySelection object. I serialize this FamilyActivitySelection object (just applicationTokens and categoryTokens) and pass it to my DeviceActivityMonitor extension via App Group UserDefaults. I am using the JSON encoder/decoder over PropertyList (though both seem to exhibit the same behavior). After inspecting the FamilyActivitySelection object immediately after it's returned by FamilyActivityPicker in the main app, the application.bundleIdentifier property is consistently nil for every Application object within selection.applications. Similarly, category.localizedDisplayName is nil for ActivityCategory objects. This happens whether "Select All Apps" is used or if apps/categories are selected individually. I understand that this is the intended behavior due to Apple's user privacy policies. I read on another post that my app can be provided with bundle identifiers and app names within Shield Configuration extensions and Device Activity Report extensions - I'm not sure which ones or how exactly to do this. I am aware that I can use Label(applicationToken) SwiftUI view to display the app name/icon, but this doesn't give programmatic access to the bundleIdentifier string. My app will not log or export these bundleIdentifiers outside of its sandbox. My goal is to create mappings to the FamilyActivitySelection with the publicly accessible bundleIdentifiers. Any guidance, examples, or clarification on the intended workflow for this scenario would be greatly appreciated!

Getting WIFI SSID
Greetings I'm trying to get on iPad the SSID from the wifi I'm connected to. For that, I added the wifi entitlement and I'm requesting permission to the user for Location. Once I have it, I'm using the function CNCopySupportedInterfaces to get the interfaces, but I can only receive the en0, which using the method CNCopyCurrentNetworkInfo returns nil. I also tried using the NEHotspotNetwork.fetchCurrent and the SSID keeps being nil. So right now I'm drawing a blank. Is there any way to make it work? Thanks.

ScreenCaptureKit confuses virtual displays
If there are multiple virtual displays connected when an app starts using SCStream, then if there is any change in the configuration of connected virtual screens (one of them gets disconnected, reconnected, etc), a new SCStream will always stream the content of the last connected virtual screen, no matter which virtual screen is intended to be streamed. This happens despite the fact that the SCContentFilter is properly configured for the stream, with the filter's content having the right displayID with the proper frame in the global display coordinate system and the filter also confirms that it knows the proper contentRect size and pointPixelScale. When all virtual displays are disconnected and reconnected, things return to normal - it's as is SCStream somehow gets confused and can't properly handle or internally reenumerate multiple virtual screens until none is connected. This issue does not normally come up, as most users will probably have only one virtual displays (like a Sidecar display) connected at most. However some configurations (like systems using multiple DisplayLink displays or apps using the undocumented CGVirtualDisplay to create virtual screens) encounter this issue. Note: this is a longstanding problem, has been like this from the first introduction of ScreenCaptureKit and even before, affected CGDisplayStream which similarly confused virtual screens.
