Face ID (LAContext) authenticate() causes SIGABRT crash immediately on iOS (Flutter local_auth)
I am developing a Flutter iOS application and encountering a crash when using biometric authentication (Face ID) via the local_auth plugin. ■ Environment Flutter: 3.x local_auth: 2.2.0 (also tested with 2.1.6) iOS: real device (Face ID is working normally for device unlock) Firebase Authentication (email/password) Xcode build ■ Issue When calling biometric authentication, the app crashes immediately. Code: final didAuthenticate = await auth.authenticate( localizedReason: 'Authenticate to login', options: const AuthenticationOptions( biometricOnly: false, useErrorDialogs: false, ), ); ■ Error Thread 1: signal SIGABRT Crash occurs in libsystem_kernel.dylib (__pthread_kill) Happens immediately when authenticate() is called No exception is caught in Dart (native crash) ■ Verified NSFaceIDUsageDescription is correctly included in Info.plist Confirmed it exists in the built Runner.app Info.plist localizedReason is non-empty and in English Flutter clean / pod install executed App reinstall

Reply to Attached macro loses generated source file
I’m seeing what looks like a compiler / macro-expansion / build-pipeline issue.
Agreed. I recommend that you file a bug about this. Please post your bug number, just for the record. If you use Xcode to expand the macro, what does it show? RoomCaptureView runs on the latest system with a serious bug causing errors
I am using RoomCaptureView for house scanning and modeling On the latest iOS 26, the following issues were encountered The program runs well on iOS 26 and below, but on iOS 26 and above, the probability of scene localization failure becomes abnormally high, and accurate indoor localization cannot be obtained. Additionally, the probability of using RoomBuilder to merge models is also high After compiling the program using xcode 26 or above, a necessary bug appeared when running it on iOS 26, RoomCaptureView is completely unable to run The error message is {RoomCaptureSession. Incorrect keyboard frame on iOS 26 when using Secure Text with Autofill
Area: Software Update Type of Feedback: Application Bug Description Device: iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 26 Build environment: Xcode 16.4 Problem description: When a text field has secureTextEntry = YES and Password Autofill / Passkeys is active, the autofill panel is not included in the rect reported from the keyboard notifications (UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey or others). As a result, when calculating the offset to move the screen up and reveal the hidden input field, the field is not displayed correctly because the reported keyboard height is smaller than the actual visible height. Observed behavior: This only occurs on devices running iOS 26 built with Xcode 16.4. On previous versions of iOS, with the same settings (secureTextEntry and Autofill active), the rect correctly includes the autofill panel height, and the UI works as expected. I tested with both UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and UIKeyboardWillChangeFrameNotification, and in both cases the behavior is the same: the height is incor

Reply to Family Controls Entitlement NOT applied to App Extensions (and Support Form is broken)
[Reply to DTS Engineer] Thank you for looking into this. I have identified the root cause of the issue: it is a Bundle ID case-sensitivity mismatch. My parent app was approved as com.hayashikento.FocusPact (Capitalized), but I accidentally requested the Configuration Extension with a lowercase ID (com.hayashikento.focuspact...). This causes a Prefix Mismatch error in Xcode, preventing me from archiving the app. To fix this, I have just submitted a new entitlement request with the corrected capitalized ID: com.hayashikento.FocusPact.ShieldConfigurationExtension Since the core functionality was already approved under the lowercase ID, could you please expedite the approval for this capitalized version? This technical correction is the only thing blocking my TestFlight distribution. Thank you for your support!

Xcode Cloud Signing Issue
There seems to be a problem to a specific Apple Developer Account regarding Xcode Cloud Distribution (Signing). The Xcode Cloud Error Invalid Signature. Code failed to satisfy specified code requirement(s). The file at path “XcodeCloudTest.app/XcodeCloudTest” is not properly signed. Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose “Clean All” in Xcode, delete the “build” directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target. How to reliably debug PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension during development?
I'm developing a PHBackgroundResourceUploadExtension and finding it difficult to debug because the system controls when the extension launches. Current experience: The extension starts at unpredictable times (anywhere from 1 minute to several hours after photos are added) By the time I attach the debugger, the upload may have already completed or failed Breakpoints in init() or early lifecycle methods are often missed Questions: Is there a way to force-launch the extension during development (similar to how we can manually trigger Background App Refresh in Xcode)? Are there any launch arguments or environment variables that put the extension in a debug/eager mode? I tried taking photos/videos, but this doesn't trigged app extension in all cases. Any tips for improving the debug cycle would be greatly appreciated. Environment: iOS 26, Xcode 18

Background upload issue in WatchOS
We are developing a watchOS application that records long audio sessions and uploads them to our backend in chunks (~5 MB each) using pre-signed URLs and URLSession background upload. Current behavior: While audio recording is active, uploads continue successfully even when the app is in the background. Once the recording stops, if multiple chunks (e.g., 10+) are still pending, the remaining uploads do not proceed in the background and appear to be suspended. We attempted to use WKExtendedRuntimeSession (mindfulness type) to allow sufficient time to enqueue background upload tasks, but the session is invalidated when the app goes to the background (e.g., wrist down or app inactive), which prevents reliable scheduling of uploads. Additionally, we added the entitlement: com.apple.developer.extended-runtime-session (mindfulness) in the Watch app entitlements file, but Xcode automatic signing fails with: “Provisioning profile does not include the com.apple.developer.extended-runtime-session entitlement.”

Reply to Apple watch Xcode pairing & connection issues
After 7 hours, successfully managed to get my first deployment on the watch. Definitely not something you expect from apple, in fact I cussed them out the whole way through. But here's what I did Mostly followed entouss's guide and most advice is reiterated from him + some of my experiences Before you do anything, make sure Apple Watch is fully charged (this WILL take a long time) It has a passcode You might get the bright idea to remove the passcode and put it on charger to prevent lock. Keep it on. Pre-pair Make sure you're on a 2.4 ghz network (mobile hotspot or create guest network on router) Connect all devices to that network Shutdown all devices and start them up 1 by 1 to start from a clean slate Get it to show up in Xcode devices If your apple watch is already in the xcode device list, DO NOT unpair it as it may not show back up again without large hassle WATCH for trust this device messages on your apple watch. If you accedentally press no, or press the crown while the dialog is on

Enhancements to Xcode's functionality should be filed through Feedback Assistant so the appropriate teams can consider the request. It would be helpful to detail why you'd like Xcode to behave as you describe and how that would help your development workflows when you file that.
