Using Wallet.app to open doors with NFC reader
G'day. At my office the doors are locked with an NFC reader. We carry around a little NFC tag on our key chains which will read out a number and this then will open the door if the number matches a number in the database. I am tired of carrying around the tag, people keep loosing it, forgetting it and it would be nice to open the door using a Phone - which we tend to always have on us. So I used a credit card which is NFC enabled to readout the NFC information, added this number to the database and can now open doors using my credit card. This is pretty cool. If I forget my keys (most likely they will be on the desk but silly me left the desk without them), I may have my wallet with me. Then I tried Wallet.app on my iPhone and select the same credit card. However the door doesn't open. When looking in the door software I noticed that the tags will always transmit the same number. So does my credit card. However Wallet.app will read out 4 readings (or maybe just one very long one) and they are always different. So I can not make them match with the door database. Any ideas how to make this work? Can I give somehow wallet.app an NFC number which I can then add to my door database? Or how come the credit card and the very same one in wallet.app don't match? Thanks for your help! Would be neat if I could make this work out. This will make a lot of people happy at my office! Cheers!

IOS 26 - Lock Iphone during install on "low battery" page
Hi! Just downloaded the IOS 26 beta software to my Iphone 15 128gb and during the second phase of installation of the update (when the phone start rebooting a few time) my iphone showed the display of low battery with the time displayed on the top left corner of the screen, even though my Iphone was pluged in during the full time of the install and had more than 50% of battery before launching the installation. So far-here is what i know: I wouldn't be able to confirm if the install was successfull or not i tried forced reboot a few time but i keep landing on the low battery page some other people are experiencing the same problem as i am as i could confirm on the reddit dedicated to the IOS26beta page

iOS 26.3.0 TextToSpeech EXC_BAD_ACCESS
Hello Apple Developer Community, I'm seeing a persistent crash in my iOS app reported via Firebase Crashlytics. The issue only started appearing on devices running iOS 26.3.0 and above (the crash does not occur on lower iOS versions, and it's unrelated to my app's version number). Key points: My app does NOT use any Text-to-Speech (TTS) features whatsoever. No AVSpeechSynthesizer, no Speech framework, no related APIs called from our code. My app is primarily written in Objective-C (with some Swift components possibly via dependencies). The crash stack is entirely within Apple's private TextToSpeech framework, specifically in ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance(). I suspect it might be indirectly triggered by a third-party ad SDK (e.g., Google Mobile Ads, AppLovin, etc.) that could be loading or interacting with accessibility features in the background — but this is just a hypothesis, as I have no direct evidence yet. Here is one representative crash log: Crashed: com.apple.root.user-initiated-qos.cooperative 0 TextToSpeech 0x6bb00 ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance() + 99800 1 TextToSpeech 0xf8c60 ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance() + 677688 2 TextToSpeech 0xf8c60 ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance() + 677688 3 TextToSpeech 0x1a0b9c ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance() + 1365620 4 libswift_Concurrency.dylib 0x628b4 swift::runJobInEstablishedExecutorContext(swift::Job*) + 288 5 libswift_Concurrency.dylib 0x63d28 swift_job_runImpl(swift::Job*, swift::SerialExecutorRef) + 156 6 libdispatch.dylib 0x13f48 _dispatch_root_queue_drain + 364 7 libdispatch.dylib 0x146fc _dispatch_worker_thread2 + 180 8 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x137c _pthread_wqthread + 232 9 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x8c0 start_wqthread + 8 The crash occurs on a background cooperative queue (Swift Concurrency). Questions: Has anyone else seen crashes inside ausdk::BufferAllocator::instance() in TextToSpeech on iOS 26.3.0+ even without using TTS in their app? Could a third-party ad SDK be causing the TextToSpeech framework to load unexpectedly (e.g., via accessibility preloading)? Is this a known bug in iOS 26's Spoken Content / Speak Selection features? Any workarounds or fixes from Apple? Any insights, similar reports (especially from Objective-C based apps), or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

iOS 26 iPhone won't charge and keeps restarting.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro. I downloaded the iOS 26 beta and had a SERIOUS error, rendering the phone unusable. I charged it to 60% and kept it plugged in while updating. While updating, I restarted several times at the Apple logo, then at the Welcome screen, and it had quite a few bugs with low battery warnings. When I turned it on, I noticed I had 1% (I thought it was strange). When it was plugged in, it wouldn't charge; it only had 1% left, and it also restarted every 2 minutes. Off-plugged, it did exactly the same thing. In the end, I had to go back to iOS 18.5; I had no problems with this version.

iOS 26: iPhone will not power on stuck on battery screen
I set iOS 26 to install overnight, put my iPhone 16 Pro on the MagSafe charger, watched it charge just fine, and went to sleep. When I woke up the iPhone showed the “plug into power” dead battery screen. I took it off MagSafe and put it back on. A half hour later the phone was warm but still wouldn’t power on, just showed the battery screen with a little red in it. I took it off MagSafe and plugged it into my iPad charging brick with USB cable to give it more power, still it did not turn on. I tried holding all the buttons to try to force a restart but didn’t work. For anyone else encountering this, do this to enter DFU mode and restore it. I had to do it a few times before I got the timing right. Plug into your Mac and open Finder (or apparently a PC with Apple Devices or iTunes) Press and quickly release volume up Press and quickly release volume down Press and hold right side button When the battery disappears and screen goes black, hold volume down and continue holding side button After a couple seconds release the side button and continue holding volume down A prompt to allow connecting to the iPhone should appear after a couple seconds, click Allow, and it’ll say the iPhone entered DFU mode - proceed to restore the firmware

tabBarMinimizeBehavior not working if subview has TabView with .tabViewStyle(.page)
We are using a TabView as the TabBarController in our app for main navigation. On one of the tabs we have a view that consists of a TabView with .tabViewStyle(.page) in order to scroll horizontally between pages inside of that specific tab. The .tabBarMinimizeBehavior(.onScrollDown) works on all the other TabItem views, but for this one it does not recognise any vertical scrolling in any of the pages, in order to minimize the TabBar. I believe this is a bug? If we don't wrap the views inside the TabView with .page style, we are able to get the expected behaviour using the tabBarMinimizeBehavior. Please let us know if this is going to be fixed in a future iOS 26 beta release.

UIKit.ButtonBarButtonVisualProvider not key value coding-compliant for the key _titleButton
After updating to Xcode 26 my XCUITests are now failing as during execution exceptions are being raised and caught by my catch all breakpoint These exceptions are only raised during testing, and seem to be referencing some private internal property. It happens when trying to tap a button based off an accessibilityIdentifier e.g. accessibilityIdentifier = "tertiary-button" ... ... app.buttons["tertiary-button"].tap() The full error is: Thread 1: "[<UIKit.ButtonBarButtonVisualProvider 0x600003b4aa00> valueForUndefinedKey:]: this class is not key value coding-compliant for the key _titleButton." Anyone found any workarounds or solutions? I need to get my tests running on the liquid glass UI

Incorrect keyboard frame on iOS 26 when using Secure Text with Autofill
Area: Software Update Type of Feedback: Application Bug Description Device: iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 26 Build environment: Xcode 16.4 Problem description: When a text field has secureTextEntry = YES and Password Autofill / Passkeys is active, the autofill panel is not included in the rect reported from the keyboard notifications (UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey or others). As a result, when calculating the offset to move the screen up and reveal the hidden input field, the field is not displayed correctly because the reported keyboard height is smaller than the actual visible height. Observed behavior: This only occurs on devices running iOS 26 built with Xcode 16.4. On previous versions of iOS, with the same settings (secureTextEntry and Autofill active), the rect correctly includes the autofill panel height, and the UI works as expected. I tested with both UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and UIKeyboardWillChangeFrameNotification, and in both cases the behavior is the same: the height is incorrect (smaller than expected with the autofill panel). What I expect / questions: That UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey (or the related notification) correctly reports the total area covered by the keyboard, including any password autofill panel, when secureTextEntry is active. That the new behavior in iOS 26 be documented if this omission is intentional, or otherwise considered a bug if it is not. If there is any official workaround suggested by Apple for developers affected by this issue while a fix is provided. Thank you for your support.

Liquid Glass Button animating when behind a view when `.interactive()` modifier is applied
When using the .glassEffect modifier on a button in swiftui combined with the .interactive() modifier, the button continues to show the interactive animation even when it’s covered by another element. Example: ZStack { Button { print("Button overlayed by ZStack") // Does not trigger, but interactive animation still plays } label: { image } .glassEffect(.regular.interactive()) Rectangle().fill(.black.opacity(0.7)) } This occurs with overlays, ZStacks, and even if the overlay is a button. Example below: EDIT: It seems like rocketsim's gif recording doesnt show the bug for some reason... really strange... Edit 2: reuploaded gif, recorded as mp4 and converted to gif seems to have worked... Feedback ID: FB22054300 I've attached this sample app to my feedback ticket to help with debugging the issue. It doesn't look like I can share it in this post though.

HCE in iPhone
Hello, maybe anyone know anything about HCE (Host card emulation) feature on iOS? As far as I read, it's not possible to achieve this functionality on iOS, but maybe there are plans to implement that? Or maybe it's clear that it wont be allowed to be used at all? Thanks:)

iOS App udp and local network permission
Recently, my application was having trouble sending udp messages after it was reinstalled. The cause of the problem was initially that I did not grant local network permissions when I reinstalled, I was aware of the problem, so udp worked fine after I granted permissions. However, the next time I repeat the previous operation, I also do not grant local network permissions, and then turn it back on in the Settings, and udp does not work properly (no messages can be sent, the system version and code have not changed). Fortunately, udp worked after rebooting the phone, and more importantly, I was able to repeat the problem many times. So I want to know if the process between when I re-uninstall the app and deny local network permissions, and when I turn it back on in Settings, is that permissions have been granted normally, and not fake, and not required a reboot to reset something for udp to take effect. I'm not sure if it's the system, or if it's a similar situation as described here, hopefully that will help me find out

ScrollView paging position is off in iOS 26
Hi everyone, I have the following issue that I have tried to tweak every possible modifier of ScrollView and still got the same result in iOS 26. Description: Create a SwiftUI ScrollView with scrollTargetBehavior of paging, also create a bottom UI view below the ScrollView. If the starting index is not 0, the position of current page will be off with part of previous page shown above it. It only happens on iOS 26, not on iOS 18. Also if bottom UI view (text view in this case) is removed, it also works fine. I want to see if there is a solution for it or it's an iOS 26 bug. Thanks! import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { @State private var currentPageIndex: Int? = 3 var body: some View { VStack { scrollView Text("Bottom Bar") .frame(maxWidth: .infinity) .frame(height: 80) .background(.red) } .background(.black) } @ViewBuilder var scrollView: some View { VerticalPagerView( currentPageIndex: $currentPageIndex, itemCount: 10, content: Array(0...9).map { index in content(for: index) } ) } @ViewBuilder private func content(for index: Int) -> some View { // Empty view with random background color Color( red: Double((index * 25 + 0) % 255) / 255.0, green: Double((index * 25 + 80) % 255) / 255.0, blue: Double((index * 25 + 160) % 255) / 255.0 ) } } struct VerticalPagerView<Content: View>: View { @Binding private var currentPageIndex: Int? private let itemCount: Int private let content: [Content] init( currentPageIndex: Binding<Int?>, itemCount: Int, content: [Content] ) { self._currentPageIndex = currentPageIndex self.itemCount = itemCount self.content = content } var body: some View { GeometryReader { geometryReader in ScrollViewReader { reader in ScrollView(.vertical) { LazyVStack(spacing: 0) { ForEach(0 ..< itemCount, id: \.self) { index in content[index] .id(index) .containerRelativeFrame(.vertical, alignment: .center) .clipped() } } .frame(minHeight: geometryReader.size.height) .scrollTargetLayout() } .scrollIndicators(.hidden) .onAppear { guard let currentPageIndex = currentPageIndex else { return } reader.scrollTo(currentPageIndex, anchor: .center) } } .scrollPosition(id: $currentPageIndex, anchor: .center) .ignoresSafeArea() .scrollTargetBehavior(.paging) .onChange(of: currentPageIndex) { oldIndex, newIndex in } } } }

[iOS26]UITableView drag bug
I encountered a bug with drag-and-drop sorting in ios 26. I created a UITableView for dragging and dropping to adjust the order of the list. However, when I set the height of the cells to a custom height, some cells were not displayed during the dragging process. The tools I use are the official version of Xcode16.1 and the ios 26 emulator And I can also reproduce the same problem on the real device. class ViewController: UIViewController { private let tableView: UITableView = { let tableView = UITableView.init(frame: .zero, style: .grouped) tableView.backgroundColor = .clear tableView.estimatedSectionHeaderHeight = 50 tableView.isEditing = true tableView.showsVerticalScrollIndicator = false tableView.allowsSelectionDuringEditing = true return tableView }() var content: [Int] = [] override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() tableView.register(FTWatchGroupPageCell.self, forCellReuseIdentifier: "FTWatchGroupPageCell") tableView.delegate = self tableView.dataSource = self view.addSubview(tableView) for i in 1...100 { content.append(i) } tableView.reloadData() } override func viewDidLayoutSubviews() { super.viewDidLayoutSubviews() var frame = view.bounds frame.origin.y = 200 frame.size.height = frame.size.height - 200 tableView.frame = frame } } extension ViewController: UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource { func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, numberOfRowsInSection section: Int) -> Int { return content.count } func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, cellForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> UITableViewCell { let cell = tableView.dequeueReusableCell(withIdentifier: "FTWatchGroupPageCell", for: indexPath) as! Siri 2.0 (suggests and future updates)
Hey dear developers! This post should be available for the future Siri updates and improvements but also for wishes in this forum so that everyone can share their opinion and idea please stay friendly. have fun! I had already thought about developing a demo app to demonstrate my idea for a better Siri. My change of many: Wish Update: Siri's language recognition capabilities have been significantly enhanced. Instead of manually setting the language, Siri can now automatically recognize the language you intend to use, making language switching much more efficient. Simply speak the language you want to communicate in, and Siri will automatically recognize it and respond accordingly. Whether you speak English, German, or Japanese, Siri will respond in the language you choose.

Feature Request – Bionic Reading Accessibility Setting
I’d love to see Apple implement a Bionic Reading feature as a system-wide accessibility option. This type of reading aid highlights the first part of each word in bold to help guide the eyes and improve comprehension. It’s been shown to be especially helpful for people with ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurodivergent needs. Having a toggle in Settings > Accessibility would be life-changing. Ideally, it could be: • Enabled system-wide, or per-app • Allow customization of how much of the word is bolded • Available in Safari, Messages, Books, News, etc.

Can I use my Apple Developer Account for free at the time of development?
Hello, I want to use universal links in my application, for which I need to get the TeamID and BundleId, for apple-app-site-association file. Can you please tell me, do I have to buy an Apple Developer Account at the time of development to do this, or can I get it all for free at the time of development?

The requested app is not available or doesn't exist.
I am unable to install my app via TestFlight.When I tap Install in TestFlight, I receive the following error message: “Could not install xxx. The requested app is not available or doesn’t exist.” The app is visible in TestFlight, but installation always fails. I would appreciate your help in identifying the cause.

I'm not sure if it's the system, or if it's a similar situation as described here, hopefully that will help me find out

iOS 18.2 beta
I have recently been having trouble with my iOS 18.2 beta update. It has been 2 weeks since I have updated to iOS 18.2 beta and joined the Genmoji and image playground waitlist. I am wondering how much longer I have to wait till my request is approved.

ScrollView paging position is off in iOS 26
Hi everyone, I have the following issue that I have tried to tweak every possible modifier of ScrollView and still got the same result in iOS 26. Description: Create a SwiftUI ScrollView with scrollTargetBehavior of paging, also create a bottom UI view below the ScrollView. If the starting index is not 0, the position of current page will be off with part of previous page shown above it. It only happens on iOS 26, not on iOS 18. Also if bottom UI view (text view in this case) is removed, it also works fine. I want to see if there is a solution for it or it's an iOS 26 bug. Thanks! import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { @State private var currentPageIndex: Int? = 3 var body: some View { VStack { scrollView Text("Bottom Bar") .frame(maxWidth: .infinity) .frame(height: 80) .background(.red) } .background(.black) } @ViewBuilder var scrollView: some View { VerticalPagerView( currentPageIndex: $currentPageIndex, itemCount: 10, content: Array(0...9).map { index in content(for: index) } ) } @ViewBuilder private func content(for index: Int) -> some View { // Empty view with random background color Color( red: Double((index * 25 + 0) % 255) / 255.0, green: Double((index * 25 + 80) % 255) / 255.0, blue: Double((index * 25 + 160) % 255) / 255.0 ) } } struct VerticalPagerView<Content: View>: View { @Binding private var currentPageIndex: Int? private let itemCount: Int private let content: [Content] init( currentPageIndex: Binding<Int?>, itemCount: Int, content: [Content] ) { self._currentPageIndex = currentPageIndex self.itemCount = itemCount self.content = content } var body: some View { GeometryReader { geometryReader in ScrollViewReader { reader in ScrollView(.vertical) { LazyVStack(spacing: 0) { ForEach(0 ..< itemCount, id: \.self) { index in content[index] .id(index) .containerRelativeFrame(.vertical, alignment: .center) .clipped() } } .frame(minHeight: geometryReader.size.height) .scrollTargetLayout() } .scrollIndicators(.hidden) .onAppear { guard let currentPageIndex = currentPageIndex else { return } reader.scrollTo(currentPageIndex, anchor: .center) } } .scrollPosition(id: $currentPageIndex, anchor: .center) .ignoresSafeArea() .scrollTargetBehavior(.paging) .onChange(of: currentPageIndex) { oldIndex, newIndex in } } } }

[iOS26]UITableView drag bug
I encountered a bug with drag-and-drop sorting in ios 26. I created a UITableView for dragging and dropping to adjust the order of the list. However, when I set the height of the cells to a custom height, some cells were not displayed during the dragging process. The tools I use are the official version of Xcode16.1 and the ios 26 emulator And I can also reproduce the same problem on the real device. class ViewController: UIViewController { private let tableView: UITableView = { let tableView = UITableView.init(frame: .zero, style: .grouped) tableView.backgroundColor = .clear tableView.estimatedSectionHeaderHeight = 50 tableView.isEditing = true tableView.showsVerticalScrollIndicator = false tableView.allowsSelectionDuringEditing = true return tableView }() var content: [Int] = [] override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() tableView.register(FTWatchGroupPageCell.self, forCellReuseIdentifier: "FTWatchGroupPageCell") tableView.delegate = self tableView.dataSource = self view.addSubview(tableView) for i in 1...100 { content.append(i) } tableView.reloadData() } override func viewDidLayoutSubviews() { super.viewDidLayoutSubviews() var frame = view.bounds frame.origin.y = 200 frame.size.height = frame.size.height - 200 tableView.frame = frame } } extension ViewController: UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource { func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, numberOfRowsInSection section: Int) -> Int { return content.count } func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, cellForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> UITableViewCell { let cell = tableView.dequeueReusableCell(withIdentifier: "FTWatchGroupPageCell", for: indexPath) as! FTWatchGroupPageCell cell.label.text = "\(content[indexPath.row])" cell.label.sizeToFit() return cell } func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> CGFloat { return 52.66 } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForHeaderInSection section: Int) -> CGFloat { return 0.01 } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, heightForFooterInSection section: Int) -> CGFloat { return 0.01 } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, canEditRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> Bool { return true } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, editingStyleForRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> UITableViewCell.EditingStyle { return .none } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, shouldIndentWhileEditingRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> Bool { return false } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, canMoveRowAt indexPath: IndexPath) -> Bool { return true } public func tableView(_ tableView: UITableView, moveRowAt sourceIndexPath: IndexPath, to destinationIndexPath: IndexPath) { let item = content.remove(at: sourceIndexPath.row) content.insert(item, at: destinationIndexPath.row) tableView.reloadData() } } class FTWatchGroupPageCell: UITableViewCell { private let contentBackView = UIView() let label = UILabel() override init(style: UITableViewCell.CellStyle, reuseIdentifier: String?) { super.init(style: style, reuseIdentifier: reuseIdentifier) contentView.isHidden = true addSubview(contentBackView) contentBackView.backgroundColor = .red contentBackView.addSubview(label) label.textColor = .black label.font = .systemFont(ofSize: 14) contentBackView.frame = .init(x: 0, y: 0, width: 200, height: 30) } required init?(coder: NSCoder) { fatalError("init(coder:) has not been implemented") } override func layoutSubviews() { super.layoutSubviews() guard let reorderControlClass = NSClassFromString("UITableViewCellReorderControl"), let reorderControl = subviews.first(where: { $0.isKind(of: reorderControlClass) }) else { return } reorderControl.alpha = 0.02 reorderControl.subviews.forEach({ subView in if let imageView = subView as? UIImageView { imageView.image = UIImage() imageView.contentMode = .scaleAspectFit imageView.frame.size = CGSize(width: 20, height: 20) } }) } }

Bluetooth 5 Extended Advertising and LE Coded PHY
When will Apple mobile phones support some of the optional features of Bluetooth 5... specifically Extended Advertising and LE Coded PHY? There are many applications that benefit from having this capability in the mobile phone.
