Xcode 16 SwiftUI List Fast Scrolling Issue
Hi! When building my app using Xcode 16, fast scrolling (using scrollViewProxy.scrollTo) a list would result in items not appearing even when scrolling stopped. This does not happen when the app is built with Xcode 15, even on iOS 18. I'm also getting this error in the logs: List failed to visit cell content, returning an empty cell. - SwiftUICore/Logging.swift:84 - please file a bug report.

empty dSYM file detected - Xcode 16
Hi, I recently updated to Xcode 16. Since then I successfully built my app and sent an update to the App Store. But suddenly, after an exception I've experienced while working on my code, the app is crashing on launch, without showing the stack trace, and showing only one warning in the console: warning: (arm64) /Users/myuser/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/myapp-bglvscamatwthwbfqmtzmbvxeewc/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/myapp.app/MyApp empty dSYM file detected, dSYM was created with an executable with no debug info. Tried deleting derived data Erasing all simulator data Reseting my computer No change yet. Any idea what am I missing? Thank you..

Xcode 16 | xcodebuild fails when providing -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,name=iPhone 16,arch=x86_64'
Hello. In the Xcode 15 we were using this command in the terminal to run our tests on the Rosetta Simulator: xcodebuild -workspace CoreLibraries.xcworkspace -scheme CoreLibraries -destination 'platform=iOS Simulator,name=iPhone 15,arch=x86_64' test` In the Xcode 16 the same command doesn't work anymore. It produces the error: xcodebuild: error: Unable to find a device matching the provided destination specifier: { platform:iOS Simulator, arch:x86_64, OS:latest, name:iPhone 16 } Unsupported device specifier option. The device “iPhone 16” does not support the following options: arch Please supply only supported device specifier options. Running test directly from the Xcode UI using iPhone 16 (Rosetta) still works fine. Does anyone know how to modify the xcodebuild command to make it work again?

xcode 16 ios 18.0 simulator download failed
I installed xcode 16 and both Predictive Code Completion Model and iOS 18.0 Simulator Failed Download. I can live without the code completion, but I can not get any Simulator to install. I clicked of the info button and it shows the following: Download failed. App Not Appearing in "Available Apps" List in Watch App
I’ve developed an Apple Watch extension for an existing iOS app. When I run the app on the watch via Xcode using the simulator, everything works fine. However, when I try to install it on my iPhone, the Watch app doesn’t show it in the "Available Apps" list, so I can't install it on the watch. The Apple Watch is connected to my iPhone, and I can see other apps available for installation without any issues. I also created a brand new project with watchOS support to troubleshoot, but the same problem occurred. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi, i have met error below when i tried to po one attributes of an instance in my Xcode lldb: error: type for self cannot be reconstructed: type for typename "$xxxxx" was not found (cached) error: Couldn't realize Swift AST type of self. Hint: using `v` to directly inspect variables and fields may still work. Is there anybody met the same error before? I urgently want to know why this happen and how to fix this issue. My macOS Version is Sequoia v15.0.1, Xcode16.0. This problem showed after i upgraded my macOS and Xcode version.

Team membership not appearing in Xcode
I have a major problem with team membership and Xcode. I work in a company, where my apple account was added to the development team with app manager role. I can see that on the apple portal, everything seems fine there. I have been also provided with the provisioning profile for the project and signing certificate of the company. However, when I log into Xcode the team does not show up anywhere. I am able to build the app, but cannot distribute to TestFlight (or anywhere else). When I use manual signing to choose the signing certificate it shows the "unknown team" message next to it. When I check my account in xcode it also only shows my personal team and does not allow to pick any other one (doesn't show any other one). When I click the "+" button on my xcode account to add a certificate an error pops up: "You already have active certificate or a pending request". I do have a pending request to enroll into apple developers program, but everyone says you don't need one if you are added to the team, you can just operate as a team member. Finally, when trying to upload to TestFlight, the following error is displayed: "No team for account ***" I have tried deleting and re-adding all the certificates. I have tried logging in and out of Xcode, I have tried deleting and re-adding my account in Xcode. I have tried reloading everything. My account was deleted and re-added to developers team. Nothing worked. I don't know the source of the issue, nor does my employer. I am new to ios development and this is my first project. Please help!

Xcode 16 Doesn't Display "Swift Compiler" Build Settings Sections
I am editing my iOS project in Xcode 16 and want to use the "Swift Compiler - Upcoming Features" section of the build settings to selectively enable the new Swift 6 language features. I have read the instructions for doing this and have dowloaded an Apple sample project and can see that section under the project and target-level Build Settings in the sample project However, when I open my Xcode project in XCode 16 that section does not appear. Is there any way for me to influence how Xcode 16 displays the build settings? In fact, no "Swift Compiler" sections appear at all under my project Build Settings (All | Combined). There is a "User-Defined" section that has the Swift Version, Compilation Mode and Optimization level. The project itself is several years old and was on a very old project version. I have upgraded my project document format to "Xcode 16" but it made no difference. I have compared my project and the sample project in a text editor and both seem to have similar structure. I tried removing unused and outdated settings from my project but that also had no effect. Is there an alternative to deleting my project file and adding the source files to it? I have a large project with multiple targets so that would be something I'd rather not do.

Landscape safe area is incorrect when presenting SKStoreProductViewController
Hi. If the app is in landscape only and when the SKStoreProductViewController is presented, the safeArea changes to what looks like a portrait mode safe area. When the SKStoreProductViewController is dismissed, the safeArea does NOT revert back to the original values. Is there a way to force the safeArea to "reset"? I've submitted some bug tickets through Apple Feedback but I haven't received any response about it. The below code will pop up the SKStoreProductViewController and if you have a UIView that is constrained to the safe area, then you can visibly notice that the safe area is changed and doesn't go back. I have tested this on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 Pro and in the Simulators. The incorrect behavior happens on those and probably more. New linker in Command Line Tools 16 not working with BLOCK DATA
We've encountered a critical issue with the new linker of CLT16 (version 16.1.0.0.1.1729049160) that prevents proper initialization of BLOCK DATA. BLOCK DATA are used to initialize global variables in our Fortran code, and its failure to initialize those variables leads to a program crash. This affects our community of more that thousand scientists worldwide. The current workaround is using the -ld_classic linker option. However, this option is deprecated and will be removed in a future release, as described in the Xcode release note. I've attached a minimal example that reproduces the problem using GNU gfortran with the following instructions (the attached main.f.txt and bd.f.txt need to be rename to main.f and bd.f, respectively): gfortran -c bd.f gfortran -c main.f ar rv libtest.a bd.o main.o gfortran -ld_classic -o good.x -L. libtest.a gfortran -o bad.x -L. libtest.a Running the two programs, one can see that the BLOCK DATA are not initialised without the option ld_classic, $ > ./good.x 3.7273802569289098 2.8083922366048202 $ > ./bad.x 0.0000000000000000 0.0000000000000000 We kindly request your attention to this matter and a prompt solution or alternative workaround. Xcode 16.1 (16B40) Stopped Building Universal Binaries
Anyone else notice that Xcode 16.1 seems to have stopped building universal binaries for both debug and release builds even though under "Build Settings-Build Active Architecture" both Debug and Release are set to NO. We had been using the universal binary builds out of Debug for preliminary tests on Intel based machines. The Architectures setting is set to: Standard Architectures (Apple Silicon, Intel) - $(ARCHS_STANDARD). I started a brand new empty app and it does the same thing. A workaround is to set the Destination in Xcode's menu bar to "Build on Any Mac" and then find the binary and drag it to the Intel computer. You can't run that one though from Xcode. Another workaround is to build an Archive and drag that one.

Xcode 16.0 syntax highlighting and autocompletion is broken for Swift packages with .binaryTarget
Syntax highlighting & code autocompletion is broken for Swift Packages wrapping an underlying binary target. Jump to defenition for module import shows the whole module interface and project builds & archives just fine, but any known workarounds to resurrect syntax assistant won't work without any errors/warnings. Replacing the .binaryTarget() with plain .target() with source code in package dependency brings all assistant features back. Steps to reproduce (project attached): Create a local Swift Package Add a dependency with binary target (for example — AppsFlyerFramework https://github.com/AppsFlyerSDK/AppsFlyerFramework) Try to use dependency product with binary dependency Attempted steps to fix: Full DD clean Full project clean ~15 min to index Xcode 16.0 & Sonoma 14.6.1, problem persists with Xcode16.2 & Sequoia. iOS app fails to run with Xcode 16 & less than iOS17.0 no issue with Xocde 15
When I build and rum my iOS app with xocde 16.0 or higher version with my 16.0 iOS, 17.0 iOS, if fails to run with error. (Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/SwiftUICore.framework/SwiftUICore) I found this error after update my macOS and xcode (Ventura -> Sequoia, Xcode 15.2 -> 16.2). I try to setting '-weak_framework SwiftUI' for solve this error with this post (https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/126506). But when applied, an error occurred in modify on all swiftUI. If a project is built with a simulator over 18 versions, it runs smoothly. *issue project is with tac or tuist. There are two projects in question, and each configuration is (1.17.0 tca + 4.37.0) / (tuist 3.4.0). Does anyone have any pointers as where I even start to debug this issue and narrow down on what's going on with Xcode 16?

Swift Playgrounds Incompatibility with Xcode 16 Files and Swift Versions
I'm facing an issue with Swift Playgrounds and files created in Xcode 16. It seems that Swift Playgrounds does not support Swift 6, but even when I create files specifically with Swift 5, Swift Playgrounds still reports that the files are unsupported. This creates a significant problem because macOS Sequoia does not allow me to revert to Xcode 15, which might have offered better compatibility. As it stands, I can't find a solution to work seamlessly between Xcode and Swift Playgrounds. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Are there any workarounds or updates planned to address this compatibility gap? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

StoreKit Configuration Not Syncing to Xcode
Hello! I am attempting to add Subscriptions to an App that Is already published on the App Store. I cannot get Xcode to actually sync what is in my App Store Connect. When adding the Storekit configuration file, I go through the automatic linking process and select the proper bundleID. The configuration file says 'Synced @ [CurrentTime]' however there are no subscriptions listed in there. I have attempted deleting the file several times, creating a new subscription group. With no success. Do I need to publish the subscriptions without the features first? Upon attempting to write the supporting code that will enable these features within the app, I cannot get Xcode to identify that I have these subscriptions. I have also tried pushing these to TestFlight, still with no success. Thank you.

The customized GPX file for Xcode 16 cannot be selected.
I am using the latest version of Xcode 16, and I have created a GPX file in my project. However, I am unable to see or select the file to simulate the GPS location. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall Xcode completely, but the issue persists. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? How can I resolve this? Thank you.

Swipe left/right only works when iPhone is vertical enough?
If I put the phone flat on a table, the left and right swipe gestures is not working but up and down gestures works. Only when I put the iPhone to some vertical degree, the left and right swipe works. Tested on 2 iPhone 7 Plus and 2 iPhone 13. Anyone has similar experience? If yes, why?

Show device's provisioning profiles
In Xcode's (version 16.1) "Devices and Simulators" window pressing the device's context menu item "Show Provisioning Profiles..." does nothing: no new window, no message, nothing. How can I fix this?

Replacing the .binaryTarget() with plain .target() with source code in package dependency brings all assistant features back. Steps to reproduce (project attached): Create a local Swift Package Add a dependency with binary target (for example — AppsFlyerFramework https://github.com/AppsFlyerSDK/AppsFlyerFramework) Try to use dependency product with binary dependency Attempted steps to fix: Full DD clean Full project clean ~15 min to index Xcode 16.0 & Sonoma 14.6.1, problem persists with Xcode16.2 & Sequoia. iOS app fails to run with Xcode 16 & less than iOS17.0 no issue with Xocde 15
When I build and rum my iOS app with xocde 16.0 or higher version with my 16.0 iOS, 17.0 iOS, if fails to run with error. (Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/SwiftUICore.framework/SwiftUICore) I found this error after update my macOS and xcode (Ventura -> Sequoia, Xcode 15.2 -> 16.2). I try to setting '-weak_framework SwiftUI' for solve this error with this post (https://forums.developer.apple.com/forums/thread/126506). But when applied, an error occurred in modify on all swiftUI. If a project is built with a simulator over 18 versions, it runs smoothly. *issue project is with tac or tuist. There are two projects in question, and each configuration is (1.17.0 tca + 4.37.0) / (tuist 3.4.0). Does anyone have any pointers as where I even start to debug this issue and narrow down on what's going on with Xcode 16?

Swift Playgrounds Incompatibility with Xcode 16 Files and Swift Versions
I'm facing an issue with Swift Playgrounds and files created in Xcode 16. It seems that Swift Playgrounds does not support Swift 6, but even when I create files specifically with Swift 5, Swift Playgrounds still reports that the files are unsupported. This creates a significant problem because macOS Sequoia does not allow me to revert to Xcode 15, which might have offered better compatibility. As it stands, I can't find a solution to work seamlessly between Xcode and Swift Playgrounds. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Are there any workarounds or updates planned to address this compatibility gap? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

StoreKit Configuration Not Syncing to Xcode
Hello! I am attempting to add Subscriptions to an App that Is already published on the App Store. I cannot get Xcode to actually sync what is in my App Store Connect. When adding the Storekit configuration file, I go through the automatic linking process and select the proper bundleID. The configuration file says 'Synced @ [CurrentTime]' however there are no subscriptions listed in there. I have attempted deleting the file several times, creating a new subscription group. With no success. Do I need to publish the subscriptions without the features first? Upon attempting to write the supporting code that will enable these features within the app, I cannot get Xcode to identify that I have these subscriptions. I have also tried pushing these to TestFlight, still with no success. Thank you.
