Used Xcode AI to Clear 100+ Sendable Warnings
I have two apps in which I have fixed warnings on Sendable, however there's one app where I did not and it looks like the rent's come due with Xcode 26.0, as I am getting over 100 warnings about Sendable. On a lark, I let the AI work on the warnings. There were so many that I ran out of free ChatGPT time and had to wait 24 hours. But today I cleared every remaining warning, but did the app still work? I figured I'd have to trash this code and do it by hand. But to my surprise, the app is working properly so far. More testing needs to be done and I need to dig into the code to make sure it's right, but so far, so good.

iOS Simulator App Installation Failure - "Failed to create promise. Underlying error (domain=IXErrorDomain, code=2)
I'm experiencing a persistent iOS Simulator app installation failure when running automated tests using Appium/XCUITest. Promotional offer does not work, gave error code 3903
I tried to apply a promotional offer to a subscribed user. When I tested it in the Sandbox environment, it did not show the promotional payment popup but returned a “restored” status. However, when I tested it in the Xcode environment, it correctly displayed the payment popup, but after I tapped the Subscribe button, it showed an “Unable to Purchase” popup like this: And in the console I could see this error: Received error that does not have a corresponding StoreKit Error: Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=305 "Server Error The server encountered an error" UserInfo={AMSURL=http://localhost:56862/WebObjects/MZBuy.woa/wa/inAppBuy, AMSDescription=Server Error, NSDebugDescription=Server Error The server encountered an error, AMSServerErrorCode=3903, AMSStatusCode=200, AMSServerPayload={ "cancel-purchase-batch" = 1; dialog = { defaultButton = ok; explanation = "Contact the developer for more information.\n\n[Environment: Xcode]"; initialCheckboxValue = 1; "m-allowed" = 0; message = "Unable to Purchase"; okButtonString = OK; }; dsid = 17322632127; failureType = 3903; jingleAction = inAppBuy; jingleDocType = inAppSuccess; pings = ( ); }, AMSFailureReason=The server encountered an error} Could someone help me resolve this issue? Existing Project Not Showing Installed iOS 26 Simulator (New Projects Work Fine)
Hello everyone, I'm encountering a frustrating issue with Xcode 26 and the iOS Simulator selection, and I'd appreciate any insight from the community. Problem Overview I have updated my Xcode to version 26.0. I have successfully installed the iOS 26 SDK and the iOS 26 Simulator runtime via Xcode's component settings. However, when I open an older, existing project, the device selection dropdown menu does not list the iOS 26 simulator. I can only select older versions, such as my locally installed iOS 18.6 simulator. Key Finding (Diagnosis) New Project Test: When I create a brand new Xcode project, the iOS 26 simulator is correctly available and runs as expected. Conclusion: This strongly suggests the issue lies with a specific configuration setting in the existing (old) project, rather than the Xcode installation itself. Troubleshooting Steps Taken I suspect a project-level configuration is somehow blocking the display of the new simulator. I've already checked: General -> Deployment Target: This is set to an older version, but theoretically shouldn't hide the simulator list. Build Settings -> Base SDK: This is set to the latest iOS SDK. Has anyone else experienced this behavior when upgrading projects to support iOS 26? What specific configuration files (e.g., .xcodeproj settings, Podfile configurations, or specific Build Settings) should I check to ensure my old project properly recognizes and displays the newly installed iOS 26 simulator? Any pointers or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Does Xcode 26 Still Support Pull Requests?
Does Xcode 26 still support creating pull requests and/or viewing comments from GitHub pull requests associated with the current branch? This used to be possible, but I cannot get it to work with the current version of Xcode (26.0.1). The "Create Pull Request" menu item takes me to github.com directly, instead of presenting a nice UI menu; hence I'm wondering.

XCode 26: is it possible to remove the preinstalled iOS Platform via xcodebuild?
Hi, as described by the subject, I'm trying to find a way to remove the preinstalled iOS support via command line tool. I need to do that because I need to use the universal architectureVariant in order to build on old Intel-based iOS Simulators, but on iOS 26. As described in this page, I can use this command to download the architecture I need xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -architectureVariant universal however, launching this command I receive this error iOS is already downloaded as arm64Only. To replace with universal, first delete the existing one. Is there any way to remove the current installed iOS platform via command line? In particular I'm serching for a way to do what the button "Delete" in the attached screen does. Thank you

Validation error, when I try to upload a game to Testflight
Hello everyone and thank you for you're time! I got an issue with uploading several icons to testflight. I'm using Game Maker Studio as my engine for the game. This is the error that I'm getting, even when I try to use the old icons for the game, that worked in the past. I tried to transform the icons, using this site "https://makeappicon.com/", but I still got the same validation error. Can you help me fixing the issue - thank you so much!

Incorrect keyboard frame on iOS 26 when using Secure Text with Autofill
Area: Software Update Type of Feedback: Application Bug Description Device: iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 26 Build environment: Xcode 16.4 Problem description: When a text field has secureTextEntry = YES and Password Autofill / Passkeys is active, the autofill panel is not included in the rect reported from the keyboard notifications (UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey or others). As a result, when calculating the offset to move the screen up and reveal the hidden input field, the field is not displayed correctly because the reported keyboard height is smaller than the actual visible height. Observed behavior: This only occurs on devices running iOS 26 built with Xcode 16.4. On previous versions of iOS, with the same settings (secureTextEntry and Autofill active), the rect correctly includes the autofill panel height, and the UI works as expected. I tested with both UIKeyboardDidShowNotification and UIKeyboardWillChangeFrameNotification, and in both cases the behavior is the same: the height is incorrect (smaller than expected with the autofill panel). What I expect / questions: That UIKeyboardFrameEndUserInfoKey (or the related notification) correctly reports the total area covered by the keyboard, including any password autofill panel, when secureTextEntry is active. That the new behavior in iOS 26 be documented if this omission is intentional, or otherwise considered a bug if it is not. If there is any official workaround suggested by Apple for developers affected by this issue while a fix is provided. Thank you for your support.

Xcode 26.0.1 + Unity 6.0+ AR project fails with linker assertion (dylibToOrdinal)
Hi, I’m facing an issue when trying to build a Unity AR project for iOS using Xcode 26.0.1 (Build 17A400) on macOS Tahoe. The build always fails with the following error: Assertion failed: (it != _dylibToOrdinal.end()), function dylibToOrdinal, file OutputFile.cpp, line 5196. Details: Unity versions tested: 6.0.0 (6000.0.57f1), 6.2.5, and 6.3 beta Xcode: 26.0.1 (latest) macOS: Tahoe Even a fresh Unity AR template project fails (no external plugins or modifications) Deleting derived data, reinstalling Xcode, and re-exporting from Unity doesn’t resolve it Notes: Downgrading Xcode is not possible because macOS Tahoe requires the latest version. Android builds work fine; the issue only happens on iOS. Question: Has anyone else encountered this linker assertion in Xcode 26 with Unity builds? Is this a known bug in the new Xcode linker, or is there a recommended workaround until Unity or Apple updates their toolchain? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Extract Subview option missing in Xcode 26
Hi everyone, I recently updated to Xcode 26.0 and noticed that the “Extract Subview” refactoring option seems to be missing. Now, in Xcode 26, the only options I see under Editor -> Refactor -> are: Extract to Selection File Extract to Method Extract to Variable Extract All Occurrences But there’s no Extract Subview as there was before. Was Extract Subview intentionally removed in Xcode 26? Or is it hidden behind a new menu location or renamed?

Xcode Provisioning Profile missing required BGTaskSchedulerPermittedIdentifiers entitlement despite correct project configuration
Hello, My project fails to build/run on a physical device or archive, due to a persistent provisioning error. Exact Error: Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: com.huiwan.Ohra-Journal" doesn't include the BGTaskSchedulerPermittedIdentifiers entitlement. I have already performed extensive troubleshooting, and all local configurations appear to be correct: Capabilities: "Background Modes" with the "Background processing" option is enabled in the target's "Signing & Capabilities" tab. Info.plist: The Permitted background task scheduler identifiers key is present in the target's Info.plist, and it contains the correct task identifier (com.huiwan.ohra-journal.refresh). Entitlements File: The .entitlements file is correctly configured by Xcode. Full Reset: I have tried a complete reset procedure, including deleting ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData and ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles/, restarting Xcode, and letting the automatic signing system regenerate the profile from scratch. The issue persists. Despite all these correct local settings, the provisioning profile automatically generated by Xcode is consistently missing the required entitlement. This strongly suggests a server-side issue with the provisioning service for my App ID (com.huiwan.Ohra-Journal). I filed a bug report on the Feedback Assistant (FB20268285) a week ago but have not received a response. This issue is completely blocking my development and ability to submit the app. Could you please investigate the status of my App ID and the provisioning services associated with it? Thank you.

xcodebuild failing when package plugin is added to project
I have created a build tool plugin in one of my SPM packages, and am trying to get it working in my project. It works fine when I build from Xcode, or have at least built the project in Xcode once before with the plugin. But if I try to build the project using xcodebuild on a machine where I have never built the project before, it fails with this error: error: '2.3.0': Invalid manifest (compiled with: ["/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/swiftc", "-vfsoverlay", "/var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/T/TemporaryDirectory.BWwJWG/vfs.yaml", "-L", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/swift/pm/ManifestAPI", "-lPackageDescription", "-Xlinker", "-rpath", "-Xlinker", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/swift/pm/ManifestAPI", "-target", "arm64-apple-macosx14.0", "-sdk", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX15.5.sdk", "-F", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/Library/Frameworks", "-F", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/Library/PrivateFrameworks", "-I", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/usr/lib", "-L", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/usr/lib", "-swift-version", "5", "-I", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/lib/swift/pm/ManifestAPI", "-sdk", "/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX15.5.sdk", "-package-description-version", "5.7.0", "/private/var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/T/SwiftTemplate/1FA05B4D-851D-4D2B-ADD6-E5A0DF70CD37/2.3.0/Package.swift", "-o", "/var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/T/TemporaryDirectory.HUxmAq/2.3.0-manifest"]) <unknown>:0: error: error opening '/var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/C/clang/ModuleCache/PackageDescription-3TZGMDBKTLI5E.swiftmodule' for output: /var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/C/clang/ModuleCache/PackageDescription-3TZGMDBKTLI5E.swiftmodule: Operation not permitted /private/var/folders/5_/q4yl04gs2kld1zztqxkqjdgh0000gq/T/SwiftTemplate/1FA05B4D-851D-4D2B-ADD6-E5A0DF70CD37/2.3.0/Package.swift:4:8: error: failed to build module 'PackageDescription' for importation due to the errors above; the textual interface may be broken by project issues or a compiler bug 2 | // The swift-tools-version declares the minimum version of Swift required to build this package. 3 | 4 | import PackageDescription | `- error: failed to build module 'PackageDescription' for importation due to the errors above; the textual interface may be broken by project issues or a compiler bug 5 | 6 | let package = Package( On a machine where this isn't working, if I open Xcode and build the project once, then xcodebuild will succeed. Is it possible that the sandbox being applied to the plugin is also being incorrectly applied to something involved in parsing and caching the manifest file? Or if there is something I am doing wrong, please let me know. This is using Xcode 16.4 on macOS 15.5.

XCode has failed countless times in updates, and every time it fails, it has to be downloaded again
XCode has failed countless times in updates, and every time it fails, it has to be downloaded again. By 2025, the App Store will still be so foolish as not to have download caching function. Previously, there was a separate installation package for XCode, but now the official website does not provide a separate address?

Request for Support of Multi-MCP Integration and AI-Powered Code Automation in Xcode 26
Hello, I appreciate the enhanced productivity brought by ChatGPT and Claude AI integration in Xcode 26, which assists with code completion, refactoring, and documentation directly within the IDE. However, in real-world development environments, teams use a variety of MCP (Model Context Protocol) collaboration tools such as Jira, GitHub, Notion, and Confluence. Currently, there is no official, seamless integration of multiple MCP services with the AI features inside Xcode. For example, it would be extremely beneficial if: AI could automatically fetch and understand issues, tickets, documents, and code context from multiple MCP services, Perform related code modifications, pull request creation, and documentation updates All done intuitively and with minimal steps directly from Xcode. I kindly request that future Xcode releases provide official support for connecting to various MCP APIs, enabling smoother collaboration between AI and multiple team productivity tools all within the IDE environment. Thank you for considering this enhancement.

I’ve been struggling with it for two days and feeling exhausted...

Thank you.

Xcode 16 compatibility with newly-released devices
Hi everyone, have any of you tried running an app from Xcode 16.x (during development, running on device) on one of the iPhone 17 models? I'd like to know whether it still works or if someone would need to update to Xcode 26 for that to work.

When adapting to iOS 26, the UIDesignRequiresCompatibility usage period
When adapting to iOS 26, do not use Liquid Glass by adding an option to the Info.Plist file: UIDesignRequires Compatibility with a value of YES. But there is a question: 'Note that this option will be removed in Xcode 27, so it can only be delayed for a maximum of one year.' May I ask if this question is true
