How are companion Apps charged?
I have a subscription website that I wish to have a companion app forBoth Apple and Google charge 30%But how does it work if the app is a part of a paid service? In other words, people will pay for use of a website and also receive apps as part of the subscription.Tiered pricing as per number of users, each user needs an appHowever there is no way of knowing whether they will have 6 Android and 4 IOS, or whatever... So there is no way to simply pay 30%To give you an idea They would pay 49.95 for the site + 5 users and 99.95 for the site + 10 users and 149.95 for the site + up to 100 usersHow would this be done for Google and Apple as far as the store charges? It would be similar to numerous apps I have as part of a paid service, such as my Xfinity, I could not have a usable app were I not paying Xfinity, but I can't imagine Apple is collecting 30% of my Xfinity subscription. Same with a company that serves the car sales business. The dealership pays a monthly fee for calender

Reply to Apple Pencil won’t write
I had both the issue with the pencil drawing dots as well as terrible cringe inducing lag on separate occasions. I found there was a separate solution to each in my case:Dotted Line:I had activated zoom in my settings. While it wasn’t actively running, having it switched on passively in the background is a known glitch that causes issues with the Apple Pencil while your hand is resting on the screen. Shutting off zoom in settings completely resolved the issue. Lagging:When you delete things, documents or images for example, your iPad doesn’t actually delete them. It just puts them in another folder for a while. In some cases third party apps don’t delete these items for months! This fills your RAM with heaps of clutter. The very same RAM your iPad uses to draw the Apple Pencil. In my cases emptying those caches on both my iPad iOS and my third party apps that we’re facing the issue solved the lagging. I had hundreds of drawings and documents clogging my system I ne

iPad charging issues
Hey I need help, one night I plugged in my iPad like normal and then the next morning it was dead. I plugged it in and the no charger plugged in symbol showed up even though it was plugged in. I cleaned the ports, tried different plugs (USB type c) and different outlets and still nothing. It does charge for a couple seconds and then I have to un plug and re plug until I got it up to 2 percent where it is now. Can someone help me and tell me why this is happening?

Charged for Sandbox Test Download
I set up a Sandbox Test account. I attempt to test my app with the Sandbox Test account. The App Store, through my iPad, says the account I'm trying to use hasn't been verified. Takes me through several screens, the last of which wants Credit Card information. I know this is wrong, because I've been through it before, but like all the other 999,000 bits of information we have to keep in our heads to navigate this insane environment, I've either misplaced it or (more likely), Apple has changed something that has rendered it obsolete. After trying to find a different strategy to get the Sandbox Account to work, I finally decided maybe this is the way it actually goes: maybe I'm supposed to put my credit card info in there as a normal account, and then when I'm making the purchase, at the last minute the App Store will give me the normal You won't be charged... notice. Tried that. Got charged. Had to go through the process of submitting a request for a refund (16.95... worth it...).Does

beta 7 crash while charging
SInce installing beta 7, I've had my 2016 Macbook crash while charging. I've reported through the Feedback App, but was wondering if anyone had experienced same or has some advise?Never crashes while using, never crashes if I charge following shutting down or putting to sleep. But if I close the cover while plugged in and return a few hours later, i will have a blank screen with a flashing folder/question mark.I also notice the case bottom (battery) running warm. Ideas? Thanks

Disable optimised battery charging notifiction
I am on the developer beta ios 18.2 beta 3 on Iphone 16 Pro Max and, if I enable battery optimization charging I am woken up during the night when it is charged to 100% (which by the way isn't a couple of hours before my scheduled alarm goes off at 05:30 every day it reaches 100 about 3-4 hours earlier). There are no other notifications firing and if I turn this off and set the charge limit to 80% it successfully charges to this overnight without any notifications. If there isn't an option please can one be added as currently, I am unable to use this feature without being woken up during the night? The charger is new and connection is fine as there are no other sounds until the optimized charging reaches 100%.

Reply to Highlight by brushing over text in Safari
Thank you for your reply but I don't think that is what I am looking for. Probably I should describe it better. In some applications (PDF viewers for example) users can activate a mode in which all text that they move their Apple Pencil over becomes highlighted. Im my web application, I use the standard selection and range (see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Selection) to trigger the highlight. Therefor I would like to allow users to create those ranges by simply moving the pen over the text rather than holding it down for a moment at the beginning.

Reply to Sidecar showing "no devices" with compatible devices
I am running 2020 M1 MBP 13 and a 2021 iPad Pro 11. I could not get sidecar to work. I read where someone above connected their Pencil to their iPad and it worked... I did exactly that, and the instant I snapped my Pencil (2) to my iPad it appeared in Sidecar! So, for me, problem solved. If you have an iPad with a Pencil, try that before you go to any extreme lengths. It will hopefully work for you, too 🤞 *edited to update MBP year
