0xBAADCA11 Occurs when VoIP Call Incoming (APNs Push Notification)
I am developing a VoIP phone application(Our Phoneapp) using APNs VoIP push. I have a question regarding a behavior I discovered during testing of this application. When performing the following operations using an iPhoneSE3 with an sXGP-NW SIM inserted, 0xBAADCA11 occurs upon receiving an APNs VoIP PUSH. Do you have any information regarding this issue? 0xBAADCA11 occurs in operation 8. However, since there were no problems in operation 4 (the app works when Wi-Fi is off), I think there is no issue with the Our Phoneapp. [Configuration of system components] [VoIP Telephone] --Call to iPhone(Phoneapp)--> [Our VoIP PBX Server] -- VoIP PUSH request --> [Apple APNs Server] -- VoIP PUSH --> [Our Phoneapp (iPhoneSE3(with sXGP SIM)] [Operations] (The issue is reproducible 100% by following oparation) iPhoneSE3: Power on (iPhoneSE3 with sXGP SIM) iPhoneSE3: Wi-Fi off, connect to the internet via SIM. VoIP Telephone: Call to Our Phoneapp iPhoneSE3: Receives VoIP PUSH and Phoneapp launches. Successfully answers the call and communication is possible. (Receives VoIP push notification from APNs via sXGP SIM) iPhoneSE3: Wi-Fi is turned ON, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. iPhoneSE3: Task kill Our Phoneapp. VoIP Telephone: Call to Our Phoneapp iPhoneSE3: iOS does not call the push notification delegate (didReceiveIncomingPushWithPayload). As a result our Phoneapp is unable to detect the incoming call, However, an ips log with 0xBAADCA11 is output. in other words, iOS received the VoIP PUSH, but Our Phoneapp dose not call CallKit, so Our Phoneapp was terminated by iOS.

Battery stuck at 1% after installing iOS 26 beta 2 – device only usable when plugged in, battery capacity shows 0%
After installing iOS 26 Developer Beta on my iPhone 13 mini, I encountered a critical battery issue. The battery percentage was stuck at 1%, and the phone could only be used while continuously plugged in. Despite the low reading, the device remained fully functional — I could use apps, navigate, and perform tasks normally. However, the battery indicator never rose above 1%, and the Battery Health section in Settings showed 0% Maximum Capacity, which is inaccurate. I did not allow the phone to fully discharge, out of fear that it might not turn back on. Restarting the phone and changing cables or chargers had no effect. After restoring the device to iOS 18.7.2 using DFU mode, the issue disappeared entirely — the battery percentage behaved normally again and the health section showed the correct value (about 100%). Observed behavior: • Battery percentage frozen at 1% • Maximum Capacity reported as 0% • Device only functional while connected to power • Issue resolved immediately after restoring to iOS 18 Temporary solution: A DFU restore to iOS 18 (18.5 22F76) immediately resolved the issue. The battery percentage and health readings returned to normal. Additional information: • Charger used: Official Apple 20W USB-C charger • Cable used: Apple USB-C to Lightning cable • Battery health after restore: 100% (replaced)

App crashes on launch for iOS 12 users after App Store release (Xcode 16.4) — BKSProcessErrorDomain bootstrap-failed
Hi everyone, I'm building an app in Xcode 16.4 with a minimum deployment target of iOS 12. The last time I built with this configuration was November 2025 — that build worked perfectly fine. I'm aware that builds from Xcode 16.4 will no longer be accepted by Apple after April 28, 2026, so I decided to push one final update before that deadline. Here's what I did: Built the app with no changes to build settings Uploaded to TestFlight Tested on iOS 12, iOS 26, and a few other versions — everything looked good Passed App Review Published to the App Store Now users on iOS 12 are reporting that the app crashes immediately on launch. Users on iOS 13-26 are unaffected. We've effectively lost a significant portion of our users overnight. We'd really like to restore functionality for them before April 28 — after that we plan to raise the minimum deployment target anyway. There are no crash logs available, as the app appears to never reach application code at all. Below are the relevant logs from Console.app: default 16:33:49.012231+0400 SpringBoard Bootstrapping MY_BUNDLE_ID with intent foreground-interactive error 16:33:49.021533+0400 SpringBoard [MY_BUNDLE_ID] Bootstrap failed with error: <NSError: 0x280f59aa0; domain: BKSProcessErrorDomain; code: 1 (bootstrap-failed); reason: "Failed to start job"> error 16:33:49.021748+0400 SpringBoard Bootstrapping failed for <FBApplicationProcess: 0x101cb4070; MY_BUNDLE_ID; pid: -1> with error: Error Domain=BKSProcessErrorDomain Code=1 "Unable to bootstrap process with bundleID MY_BUNDLE_ID" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Unable to bootstrap process with bundleID MY_BUNDLE_ID, BKSProcessExitReason=0, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Failed to start job, NSUnderlyingError=0x280f58780 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=3 "No such process" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=The process failed to exec, NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=Consult /var/log/com.apple.xpc.launchd/launchd.log for more information, NSLocalizedDescription=Unable to get valid task name port right for pid 241}}, BSErrorCodeDescription=bootstrap-failed} default 16:33:49.021934+0400 SpringBoard Adding: <FBApplicationProcess: 0x101cb4070; MY_BUNDLE_ID; pid: -1> default 16:33:49.022111+0400 SpringBoard <FBApplicationProcess: 0x101cb4070; MY_BUNDLE_ID; pid: -1> exited. default 16:33:49.023325+0400 SpringBoard Removing: <FBApplicationProcess: 0x101cb4070; MY_BUNDLE_ID; pid: -1> default 16:33:49.039576+0400 assertiond Submitting new job for "MY_BUNDLE_ID" on behalf of <BKProcess: 0x100d119f0; SpringBoard; com.apple.springboard; pid: 48; agency: SystemShell; visibility: foreground; task: running> default 16:33:49.039982+0400 assertiond Submitted job with label: UIKitApplication:MY_BUNDLE_ID[0xed03][58] error 16:33:49.040128+0400 assertiond Unable to obtain a task name port right for pid 241: (os/kern) failure (0x5) error 16:33:49.040286+0400 assertiond Failed to start job with error <NSError: 0x100c3f180; domain: NSPOSIXErrorDomain; code: 3; reason: "The process failed to exec"> { description = "Unable to get valid task name port right for pid 241"; failureReason = "The process failed to exec"; recoverySuggestion = "Consult /var/log/com.apple.xpc.launchd/launchd.log for more information"; Has anyone encountered this recently? Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I tried rebuilding from scratch without any code changes and uploading a fresh build to TestFlight — but now it won't even launch from TestFlight on iOS 12.

Widget error upon restore iPhone: The file "Name.sqlite" couldn't be opened
I have an app that uses NSPersistentCloudKitContainer stored in a shared location via App Groups so my widget can fetch data to display. It works. But if you reset your iPhone and restore it from a backup, an error occurs: The file "Name.sqlite" couldn't be opened. I suspect this happens because the widget is created before the app's data is restored. Restarting the iPhone is the only way to fix it though, opening the app and reloading timelines does not. Anything I can do to fix that to not require turning it off and on again?

Network Connection Issue on Xcode 16.3 Simulator
Hi, I just migrated from Xcode 15 to Xcode 16.3 RC. When I run my app on any simulator, iOS 17 or iOS 18, I seeing strange behavior the second time I launch the app. The app uses a few frameworks, such as Firebase Crashlytics, and the network calls all work fine on the initial launch. however, subsequent launches consistently get the following error: Task <17ACD3D4-FB31-4091-A797-D573F31909C2>.<2> finished with error [-1001] Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001 "The request timed out." UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-2102, NSUnderlyingError=0x600000c46910 {Error Domain=kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork Code=-1001 "(null)" UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-2102, _kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=4}}, _NSURLErrorFailingURLSessionTaskErrorKey=LocalDataTask <17ACD3D4-FB31-4091-A797-D573F31909C2>.<2>, _NSURLErrorRelatedURLSessionTaskErrorKey=( "LocalDataTask <17ACD3D4-FB31-4091-A797-D573F31909C2>.<2>" ), NSLocalizedDescription=The request timed out., The only way to run again on that simulator is to Erase All Content and Settings. I did not see this issue in Xcode 16, and my app has been in production for over a year without networking issues. Pushing to my phone works fine. Running on MacBook Pro apple silicon - Sequoia 15.3.2 Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Mike

HTTPS Connection Issues Following iOS 26 Beta 6 Update
Hi. We are writing to report a critical issue we've encountered following the recent release of iOS 26 beta 6. After updating our test devices, we discovered that our application is no longer able to establish HTTPS connections to several of our managed FQDNs. This issue was not present in beta 5 and appears to be a direct result of changes introduced in beta 6. The specific FQDNs that are currently unreachable are: d.socdm.com i.socdm.com tg.scodm.com We have reviewed the official iOS & iPadOS 26 Beta 6 Release Notes, particularly the updates related to TLS. While the notes mention changes, we have confirmed that our servers for all affected FQDNs support TLS 1.2, so we believe they should still be compliant. We have also investigated several of Apple's support documents regarding TLS connection requirements (e.g., HT214774, HT214041), but the information does not seem to apply to our situation, and we are currently unable to identify the root cause of this connection failure. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102028 https://support.apple.com/en-us/103214 Although we hope this issue might be resolved in beta 7 or later, the official release is fast approaching, and this has become a critical concern for us. Could you please provide any advice or insight into what might be causing this issue? Any guidance on potential changes in the networking or security frameworks in beta 6 that could affect TLS connections would be greatly appreciated. We have attached the relevant code snippet that triggers the error, along with the corresponding Xcode logs, for your review. Thank you for your time and assistance. #import "ViewController.h" @interface ViewController () @end @implementation ViewController - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"https://i.socdm.com/sdk/js/adg-script-loader-b-stg.js"]; NSMutableURLRequest *req = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:url cachePolicy:NSURLRequestReloadIgnoringLocalCacheData timeoutInterval:30.0]; [self sendWithRequest:req completionHandler:^(NSData *_Nullable data, NSHTTPURLResponse *_Nonnull response, NSError *_Nullable error) { if (error){ NSLog(@"Error occurred: %@", error.localizedDescription); return; }else{ NSLog(@"Success! Unwanted Communication Reporting extension crash
I'm trying to implement Unwanted SMS and Calls reporting in an app I'm doing in my idle time. If I place a UITextField or UITextView inside a ILClassificationUIExtensionViewController, every time I select on such control the extension crashes without any logs. The closet idea I have on why it crashes it has something to do with iOS requesting the dictation feature. I'm using the latest (beta 8 at the time) iOS 16.0 beta on my iPhone 13 pro. Attaching my code here if you want to try for yourself: github

If you have code to package as a framework which has a 3rd party dependency, what can you do given that iOS doesn't support umbrella frameworks
I've got a large and complex app which has several dependencies upon 3rd party libraries (installed as pods). The app is structured according to Model-View-Controller design and there is a requirement to implement the Model part as an .xcframework so it can be included and used in the original app along with a few new apps. However, Apple documentation states that umbrella frameworks are not supported (Technical Note TN2435). The Model code has several dependencies which would be totally unfeasible to replace or remove, for example it uses RealmSwift for database storage. Obviously it would be impossible to write one's own database storage scheme in place of using Realm. However, if my framework uses Realm as a dependency, then its now become an umbrella framework. So therefore not supported according to Apple documentation. So what are options/solutions?

Expected behavior of searchDomains
Based on https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/nednssettings/searchdomains , we expect the values mentioned in searchDomains to be appended to a single label DNS query. However, we are not seeing this behavior. We have a packetTunnelProvider VPN, where we set searchDomains to a dns suffix (for ex: test.com) and we set matchDomains to applications and suffix (for ex: abc.com and test.com) . When a user tries to access https://myapp , we expect to see a DNS query packet for myapp.test.com . However, this is not happening when matchDomainsNoSearch is set to true. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/nednssettings/matchdomainsnosearch When matchDomainsNoSearch is set to false, we see dns queries for myapp.test.com and myapp.abc.com. What is the expected behavior of searchDomains?

Summary of iOS/iPadOS 26 UIKit bugs related to UISearchController & UISearchBar using scope buttons
All of these issues appear when the search controller is set on the view controller's navigationItem and the search controller's searchBar has its scopeButtonTitles set. So far the following issues are affecting my app on iOS/iPadOS 26 as of beta 7: When the scopeBarActivation of UISearchController is set to .onSearchActivation, the preferredSearchBarPlacement of the navigationItem is set to .integratedButton, and the searchBarPlacementAllowsToolbarIntegration is set to false (forcing the search icon to appear in the nav bar), on both iPhones and iPads, the scope buttons never appear. They don't appear when the search is activated. They don't appear when any text is entered into the search bar. FB19771313 I attempted to work around that issue by setting the scopeBarActivation to .manual. I then show the scope bar in the didPresentSearchController delegate method and hide the scope bar in the willDismissSearchController. On an iPhone this works though the display is a bit clunky. On an iPad, the scope bar does appear via the code in didPresentSearchController, but when any scope bar button is tapped, the search controller is dismissed. This happens when the app is horizontally regular. When the app on the iPad is horizontally compact, the buttons work but the search bar's text is not correctly aligned within the search bar. Quite the mess really. I still need to post a bug report for this issue. But if issue 1 above is fixed then I don't need this workaround. When the scopeBarActivation of UISearchController is set to .onSearchActivation, the preferredSearchBarPlacement of the navigationItem is set to .stacked, and the hidesSearchBarWhenScrolling property of the navigationItem is set to false (always show the search bar), and this is all used in a UITableViewController, then upon initial display of the view controller on an iPhone or iPad, you are unable to tap on the first row of the table view except on the very bottom of the row. The currently hidden scope bar is stealing the touches. If you activate and then cancel the search (making the scope bar appear and then disappear) then you are able to tap on the first row as expected. The initially hidden scope bar also bleeds through the first row of the table. It's faint but you can tell it's not quite right. Again, this is resolved by activating and then canceling the search once. FB17888632 When the scopeBarActivation of UISearchController is set to .onSearchActivation, the preferredSearchBarPlacement of the navigationItem is set to integrated or .integratedButton, and the toolbar is shown, then on iPhones (where the search bar/icon appears in the toolbar) the scope buttons appear (at the top of the screen) the first time the search is activated. But if you cancel the search and then activate it again, the search bar never appears a second (or later) time. On an iPad the search bar/icon appears in the nav bar and you end up with the same issue as #1 above. FB17890125 Issues 3 and 4 were reported against beta 1 and still haven't been fixed. But if issue 1 is resolved on iPhone, iPad, and Mac (via Mac Catalyst), then I personally won't be affected by issues 2, 3, or 4 any more (but of course all 4 issues need to be fixed). And by resolved, I mean that the scope bar appears and disappears when it is supposed to each and every time the search is activated and cancelled (not just the first time). The scope bar doesn't interfere with touch events upon initial display of the view controller. And there are no visual glitches no matter what the horizontal size class is on an iPad. I really hope the UIKit team can get these resolved before iOS/iPadOS 26 GM.

CallKit Call Directory database corruption (sqlite Code 11)
Hi everyone, I’ve filed a Feedback report (FB20986470) for a serious issue affecting the Call Directory database when add phone numbers for call blocking. When adding blocking numbers to a Call Directory extension, the system’s CallKit database (/private/var/mobile/Library/CallDirectory/CallDirectory.db) becomes corrupted. The reload call (reloadExtensionWithIdentifier) fails with error code 11 when the system tries to insert blocking entries, and the Console app on macOS shows the following errors: database corruption page 2265525 of /private/var/mobile/Library/CallDirectory/CallDirectory.db at line 81343 of [f0ca7bba1c] database corruption at line 79387 of [f0ca7bba1c] Error Domain=com.apple.callkit.database.sqlite Code=11 "sqlite3_step for query 'INSERT INTO PhoneNumberBlockingEntry (extension_id, phone_number_id) VALUES (?, (SELECT id FROM PhoneNumber WHERE (number = ?))), (?, (SELECT id FROM PhoneNumber WHERE (number = ?))),...)'" After this happens, CallKit becomes fully corrupted on the device and no further numbers can be added, even after: Disabling and re-enabling the extension Restarting the device (either force or soft restart) Reinstalling the app Waiting for a couple of minutes after this issue happens (that CallKit could possibly self-recovered) I also tested other call-blocking apps, and they all fail with the same error. The only thing that recovers the system is a full “Reset All Settings.” This issue has been reported by many users of my app, across multiple iOS versions and devices. Similar related issue reported by another developer: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/806129 Steps to Reproduce: Enable the Call Directory extension from a call-blocking app. Add and reload blocking numbers (a few thousand entries). Perform multiple reloads between additions. Check the Console, the corruption errors appear. From this point, all insert attempts fail system-wide. Expected Result: Entries should be inserted successfully, or the system should self-recover without persistent corruption. Actual Result: sqlite3_step fails with Code=11, and the Call Directory database remains corrupted until the user resets all settings. Additional Notes: All numbers are sorted and deduplicated before insertion. Happens intermittently after multiple reloads. The system log always shows internal database failure. Environment: Device: iPhone 16 Plus iOS 18.2 Beta (23C5027f) Xcode 16.1 (17B55) Attachments (included in Feedback FB20986470): sysdiagnose captured immediately after the failure (with Phone app General Profile) It seems like a system-level corruption affecting all Call Directory extensions once it occurs.

Unable to use iOS simulator below version 26 after installing Xcode 26 Beta 3
I installed the third beta of Xcode 26 with Xcode 16.4 installed on my machine. Once Xcode 26 was installed, all of my previous simulators were wiped out, leaving only the default iOS 26 simulators. I cannot create new simulators for iOS versions below 26. Here are my failed attempts to fix the issue: Restarted Xcode 16.4 and my machine Reinstalled the iOS 18.5 runtime Uninstalled Xcode 26 and iOS 26 runtime Reinstalled Xcode 16.4 Now, I literally cannot use a simulator in Xcode 16.4. Here is what I see when I try to create a new simulator in Xcode 16.4: According to Xcode, the iOS 18.5 runtime is installed, so I have no idea what is going on. Is this a known issue? And how do I get Xcode 16.4 working with the iOS simulator?

BGContinuedProcessingTask register block not called, submit does not throw an error
I implemented BGContinuedProcessingTask in my app and it seems to be working well for everyone except one user (so far) who has reached out to report nothing happens when they tap the Start Processing button. They have an iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 26.1. Restarting iPhone does not fix it. When they turn off the background processing feature in the app, it works. In that case my code directly calls the function to start processing instead of waiting for it to be invoked in the register block (or submit catch block). Is this a bug that's possible to occur, maybe device specific? Or have I done something wrong in the implementation? func startProcessingTapped(_ sender: UIButton) { if isBackgroundProcessingEnabled { startBackgroundContinuedProcessing() } else { startProcessing(backgroundTask: nil) } } func startBackgroundContinuedProcessing() { BGTaskScheduler.shared.register(forTaskWithIdentifier: taskIdentifier, using: .main) { @Sendable [weak self] task in guard self != nil else { return } startProcessing(backgroundTask: task as? BGContinuedProcessingTask) } let request = BGContinuedProcessingTaskRequest(identifier: taskIdentifier, title: title, subtitle: subtitle) request.strategy = .fail if BGTaskScheduler.supportedResources.contains(.gpu) { request.requiredResources = .gpu } do { try BGTaskScheduler.shared.submit(request) } catch { startProcessing(backgroundTask: nil) } } func startProcessing(backgroundTask: BGContinuedProcessingTask?) { // FIXME: Never called for this user when isBackgroundProcessingEnabled is true }

Crash in URLConnectionLoader::loadWithWhatToDo
There are multiple report of crashes on URLConnectionLoader::loadWithWhatToDo. The crashed thread in the stack traces pointing to calls inside CFNetwork which seems to be internal library in iOS. The crash has happened quite a while already (but we cannot detect when the crash started to occur) and impacted multiple iOS versions recorded from iOS 15.4 to 18.4.1 that was recorded in Xcode crash report organizer so far. Unfortunately, we have no idea on how to reproduce it yet but the crash keeps on increasing and affect more on iOS 18 users (which makes sense because many people updated their iOS to the newer version) and we haven’t found any clue on what actually happened and how to fix it on the crash reports. What we understand is it seems to come from a network request that happened to trigger the crash but we need more information on what (condition) actually cause it and how to solve it. Hereby, I attach sample crash report for both iOS 15 and 18. I also have submitted a report (that include more crash reports) with number: FB17775979. Will appreciate any insight regarding this issue and any resolution that we can do to avoid it. iOS 15.crash iOS 18.crash

iOS26 UISearchbar and UISearchController cancellation issues
Is the Cancel button intentionally removed from UISearchBar (right side)? Even when using searchController with navigationItem also. showsCancelButton = true doesn’t display the cancel button. Also: When tapping the clear ("x") button inside the search field, the search is getting canceled, and searchBarCancelButtonClicked(_:) is triggered (Generally it should only clear text, not cancel search). If the search text is empty and I tap outside the search bar, the search is canceled. Also when I have tableview in my controller(like recent searches) below search bar and if I try to tap when editing started, action is not triggered(verified in sample too). Just cancellation is happening. In a split view controller, if the search is on the right side and I try to open the side panel, the search also gets canceled. Are these behaviors intentional changes, beta issues, or are we missing something in implementation?

PingFang.ttc font file is missing in iOS 18.0
I'm an iOS developer, and I've been testing our app in iOS 18.0 Beta. I noticed that there's a problem with the font rendering, and after troubleshooting, I've found out that it's caused by the removal of the PingFang.ttc font in 18.0. I would like to ask the reason for removing this font file and which font should be used to display Chinese in the future? My test device is an iPhone 11 Pro and the system version is iOS 18.0 (22A5297). I have also tested Beta 1 and it has the same issue. In previous versions of the system, the PingFang font is located in this directory /System/Library/Fonts/LanguageSupport/PingFang.ttc. But in iOS 18.0, the font file in this directory has become Kohinoor.ttc, and I've tested that this font can't display Chinese either. I traversed the following system font directories and could not find the PingFang.ttc font file. /System/Library/Fonts/AppFonts /System/Library/Fonts/Core /System/Library/Fonts/CoreAddition /System/Library/Fonts/CoreUI /System/Library/Fonts/LanguageSupport /System/Library/Fonts/UnicodeSupport /System/Library/Fonts/Watch Looking for answers, thanks for the help!

‌Using Xcode 26, the built package encounters device compatibility issues — while it installs successfully on supported iPhone devices, but it crashes immediately upon launch and cannot run normally.‌‌In previous versions of Xcode, the same "minimum deployment" setting in the project did not cause such compatibility issues.‌ The app built with Xcode 26 shows the following behavior when installed and tested on various devices:‌ iPhone6p iOS12.5.8 fails to run 2.iPhone6 iOS11 fails to run 3.Iphone6 iOS12.5.7 fails to run 4.iPhone7 iOS12.1.3 ok 5.iPhoneX iOS 12.2 ok 6.iphone6s plus iOS10.3.1 ok 7.iphoneXS. iOS 12.1.4 ok 8.iPhone11 iOS 13.6.1 ok 9.iPhone7. iOS 13.7 ok We have tested and found that an iPhone 6s Plus running iOS 10.3.1 can normally run the app. We would like to know whether apps built with Xcode 26 are inherently incompatible with iPhone 6 and older devices. Has Xcode 26’s underlying build environment removed full support for the A8 chip, resulting in binary files containing instructions or memory models that older devices cannot parse? ‌Looking forward to your reply‌.

BGContinuedProcessingTask code pauses when device is locked
I have been experimenting with the BGContinuedProcessingTask API recently (and published sample code for it https://github.com/infinitepower18/BGContinuedProcessingTaskDemo) I have noticed that if I lock the phone, the code that runs as part of the task stops executing. My sample code simply updates the progress each second until it gets to 100, so it should be completed in 1 minute 40 seconds. However, after locking the phone and checking the lock screen a few seconds later the progress indicator was in the same position as before I locked it. If I leave the phone locked for several minutes and check the lock screen the live activity says "Task failed". I haven't seen anything in the documentation regarding execution of tasks while the phone is locked. So I'm a bit confused if I encountered an iOS bug here?

The app uses a few frameworks, such as Firebase Crashlytics, and the network calls all work fine on the initial launch. however, subsequent launches consistently get the following error: Task <17ACD3D4-FB31-4091-A797-D573F31909C2>.<2> finished with error [-1001] Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001 "The request timed out." I did not see this issue in Xcode 16, and my app has been in production for over a year without networking issues.

BUG: iOS 18 Simulator cannot "Save to Files"
On iOS 18.0+ simulators, tap any share link button from any app, select "Save to Files", the "Save" button is disabled. In all previous simulator versions this works. This behavior even happens with default Apple apps like Photos. Simulator: Version 16.0 (1037) XCode: Version 16.1 beta (16B5001e) macOS: 14.6.1 (23G93)

I implemented BGContinuedProcessingTask in my app and it seems to be working well for everyone except one user (so far) who has reached out to report nothing happens when they tap the Start Processing button. They have an iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 26.1. Restarting iPhone does not fix it. When they turn off the background processing feature in the app, it works. In that case my code directly calls the function to start processing instead of waiting for it to be invoked in the register block (or submit catch block). Is this a bug that's possible to occur, maybe device specific? Or have I done something wrong in the implementation? func startProcessingTapped(_ sender: UIButton) { if isBackgroundProcessingEnabled { startBackgroundContinuedProcessing() } else { startProcessing(backgroundTask: nil) } } func startBackgroundContinuedProcessing() { BGTaskScheduler.shared.register(forTaskWithIdentifier: taskIdentifier, using: .main) { @Sendable [weak self] task in guard self != nil else { return } startProcessing(backgroundTask: task as? BGContinuedProcessingTask) } let request = BGContinuedProcessingTaskRequest(identifier: taskIdentifier, title: title, subtitle: subtitle) request.strategy = .fail if BGTaskScheduler.supportedResources.contains(.gpu) { request.requiredResources = .gpu } do { try BGTaskScheduler.shared.submit(request) } catch { startProcessing(backgroundTask: nil) } } func startProcessing(backgroundTask: BGContinuedProcessingTask?) { // FIXME: Never called for this user when isBackgroundProcessingEnabled is true }

Crash in URLConnectionLoader::loadWithWhatToDo

‌Xcode26-built apps cannot run on iPhone 6 or earlier devices‌
