App Clip stuck on Received & Not invoking via Universal Link
Hello, I've correctly configured my Apple App Site Association. Running a curl command returns: $ curl -L -i https://example.com/.well-known/apple-app-site-association HTTP/2 200 accept-ranges: bytes access-control-allow-origin: * cache-control: public, max-age=0, must-revalidate content-disposition: inline content-type: application/json date: [DATE] etag: "[ETAG]" server: Vercel service-worker-allowed: / strict-transport-security: max-age=63072000 x-matched-path: /api/apple-app-site-association x-vercel-cache: HIT x-vercel-id: [VERCEL_ID] content-length: 250 {"applinks":{"details":[{"appIDs":["<TEAM_ID>.<APP_BUNDLE>"],"paths":["/game/*"],"components":[{"/":"/game/*"}]}]},"appclips":{"apps":["<TEAM_ID>.<APP_CLIP_BUNDLE>"]},"webcredentials":{"apps":["<TEAM_ID>.<APP_BUNDLE>"]}} Additionally, inspecting the experiences JSON in App Store Connect's Advanced Experiences for App Clips shows: { "count": 1, "from": 0, "size": 50, "hits": [ { "bundleId": "<APP_CLIP_BUNDLE>", "heroImage": "https://is5-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/[IMAGE_TEMPLATE]", "createDate": [TIMESTAMP], "orgId": "[ORG_ID]", "subversion": [SUBVERSION_TIMESTAMP], "contents": [ { "default": true, "subtitle": "Tap open to view", "language": "en", "title": "Multi" } ], "version": [VERSION_TIMESTAMP], "adamId": "[ADAM_ID]", "id": "[EXPERIENCE_ID]", "status": "PUBLISHED", "link": "https://example.com/game", "appTag": { "appTagUrlEncoderVersion": "version0", "appTagSvgEncoderVersion": "0", "appTagId": "[APP_TAG_ID]" }, "modifiedBy": "[MODIFIED_BY]", "action": "OPEN", "isPoweredBy": false } ], "aggs": { "appTags": { "buckets": { "*": { "doc_count": 1 }, "null": { "doc_count": 0 } } }, "bundleIds": { "buckets": [ { "key": "<APP_CLIP_BUNDLE>", "doc_count": 1 } ] }, "statuses": { "buckets": [ { "key": "PUBLISHED", "doc_count": 1 } ] }, "hosts": { "buckets": [ { "key": "example.com", "doc_count": 1 } ] }, "actions": { "buckets": [ { "key": "OPEN", "doc_count": 1, "categories": { "buckets": [ { "key": "N/A", "doc_count": 1 } ] } } ] }, "vendorPlaceStatuses": { "buckets": [] } } } So it appears to be published, despite what the UI indicates. However, I still cannot invoke my App Clip via the universal link. The desired behavior is to invoke it from iMessage. Has anyone encountered this issue or have suggestions on how to resolve it?

Implementing App Clips with .NET MAUI

How to move from Share Extension to the main screen
My app is designed to share and import images with apps such as the File app. I created a program after looking at various information, but the app from which the images are shared does not work, and the screen cannot be moved to the main screen of my app. The program is as follows. How should I modify it? import UIKit import MobileCoreServices import UniformTypeIdentifiers class ShareViewController: UIViewController { let suiteName: String = "group.com.valida.pettyGeneral" let keyString: String = "share-general" override func viewDidLoad() { var nameArray: [String] = [String]() let sharedDefaults: UserDefaults = UserDefaults(suiteName: self.suiteName)! guard let inputItem = self.extensionContext?.inputItems.first as? Delays When Creating Advanced App Clip Experiences for Other Businesses
Hey there, I have an app where I create custom Advanced App Clip Experiences for other businesses which seems to be a valid thing. I do create them via API. Upon creation everything looks fine: when I go to App Store Connect -> App -> Advanced App Clip Experiences, I do see the new App Clip Experience I've just created. Their status is Received (as any other active experiences) and have a custom URL. The issue is weird timing when the Advanced App Clip Experience actually becomes available on the iPhone (can be triggered via App Clip Code, etc). Some experiences become available literally immediately but others take days (some take 1-2 days, some take ~5 days). I'm not sure why there's a bid difference for an Advanced App Clip to be actually active. Does anyone have any kind of experience with that? I don't change domain settings, app's settings, etc. I'm just creating a new experience (both via API or manually at App Store Connect) and I do have different "activation" times for different App Clips. Same when I delete an Advanced App Clip Experience, it will still be available for next couple days. I get there might be caching stuff, etc. But the difference is quite huge and makes no sense since as I've mentioned some clips become available immediately but some takes days to be available. Thank you!

App Clip Local Experience with TestFlight
Hello, I'm trying to test an app clip in TestFlight with a Local Experience. Is there any way to test app clips "end to end" from a local experence? The clip I'm developing uses Apple Pay, so we'd like to be able to test the full experience using sandbox accounts. The documentation indicates that this is possible: documentation link Testers can also configure a local experience to launch the App Clip you distribute with TestFlight. However, you must still associate your App Clip with your website so testers can launch it from the TestFlight app. In addition, testers must launch the App Clip from an App Clip experience you configure for testing in App Store Connect at least once to ensure that the App Clip is cached on the device. I've had some success with running the clip from a local Xcode build, then installing a TestFlight build "over top" of the Xcode build, e.g. I can scan a QR code with a URL configured for a local experience and the card will show and launch the clip, but that seems to "expire" after a period of time. More information: App (but not App Clip) is currently live in the app store. App Clip is in TestFlight and launches using TestFlight experiences App Clip and App are associated with our website Am able to launch the app via QR code with a full installation from TestFlight Am able to see Local Experiences when the clip has been built locally and run on my device using Xcode Local Experience does not show when using a fresh install from TestFlight even when configured with the same values Local Expereince does show and work when using a TestFlight build installed over top of an Xcode build

App Clip Card’s “Open” Button takes 2–3 seconds to become active on first load
We are currently implementing App Clips in our app. While we have carefully optimized the App Clip size to keep it lightweight (~3.69MB), we have noticed that on the first load, displaying the App Clip Card and activating the “Open” button takes a surprisingly long time (approximately 2–3 seconds). Subsequent loads appear to perform normally. We understand that this behavior may not be directly controllable from the app development side, but we would like to know if there are any possible ways to improve it. Minimizing the time it takes for users to access the content is extremely important, as delays on the first interaction can negatively impact the user experience. Any guidance or best practices to make the App Clip Card and its “Open” button respond faster on first load would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to enable Apple Pay for App Clip – “relationship 'undefined'” error when adding capability
Hey everyone, hoping someone here has run into this before. I have a fully functional App Clip (com.didyoucatchit.app.Clip) linked to my main app (com.didyoucatchit.app). The Clip builds and runs perfectly, but I’m seeing issues trying to enable Apple Pay for it. When I try to link my Merchant ID under the “On Demand Install Capable” capability in the Apple Developer portal, I get this error: A relationship in the provided entity is not allowed for this request. The relationship 'undefined' can not be included in a 'bundleIdCapabilities' request. Here’s what I have already configured and confirmed: App Clip capabilities in Xcode include: Apple Pay Payment Processing Associated Domains (appclips:app.didyoucatchit.com) Provisioning profile includes: Apple Pay Payment Processing Associated Domains In-App Purchase On-Demand Install Capable Entitlements file for the Clip: <key>com.apple.developer.associated-domains</key> <array> <string>appclips:app.didyoucatchit.com</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.in-app-payments</key> <array> <string>merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app</string> </array> <key>com.apple.developer.parent-application-identifiers</key> <array> <string>$(AppIdentifierPrefix)com.didyoucatchit.app</string> </array> Merchant ID (merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app) is active and connected to Stripe Stripe Apple Pay configuration matches the same merchant ID and certificate Both provisioning profiles have been refreshed and downloaded However: The portal still throws the “relationship 'undefined'” error anytime I try to modify the Clip’s capabilities In testing, Apple Pay doesn’t show up as a payment option in the Clip (using Stripe’s Payment Element integration) Questions: Is this a known issue with the Developer portal when linking App Clips to merchant IDs? Is there a specific way to re-establish the parent–child relationship between the main app and the App Clip so the bundleIdCapabilities request includes the proper relationship JSON? Are there any additional configuration steps required when using Stripe for Apple Pay inside an App Clip? System Setup: Xcode: 16.2 (build 16C5032a) macOS: Sequoia 15.3.1 iOS: 18.5 (testing on physical device) Merchant ID: merchant.com.didyoucatchit.app Main App ID: com.didyoucatchit.app App Clip ID: com.didyoucatchit.app.Clip Any help or insight would be hugely appreciated Thanks in advance!

Issues Observed with App Clip Behavior and URL Handling
Hi Apple Team, We’ve noticed a couple of issues with launching default App Clip in safari and would appreciate your guidance. App Clip Popup Timing: When launching the App Clip using default URL, we sometimes see the small App Clip popup appear before the App Clip banner is displayed. Ideally, the banner should appear first. Cached URL Handling: In certain cases, the App Clip appears to be using a cached URL instead of the most recent one. For example, when we invoke two different App Clip URLs with unique parameters, the App Clip sometimes launches using the previous URL’s data instead of the new one. This behavior is inconsistent and makes it difficult to ensure users are directed to the correct experience each time. Could you please help us understand whether this is expected behavior or if there are any known issues or recommended solutions? Thank you for your time and support. Example

Non–App Clip NFC URLs show CPSErrorDomain error 2 after creating 50+ Advanced App Clips
We’re seeing unexpected NFC behavior once our app has 50+ Advanced App Clips created. Expected: Scanning an NFC tag with a URL that is NOT an App Clip invocation should show the standard “Open in Safari” notification. Actual: After we create ~50+ Advanced App Clips, scanning NFC tags for URLs on the same domain that are not associated with App Clips consistently shows “CPSErrorDomain error 2” instead of the Safari prompt.
QR codes for the same non–App Clip URLs work as expected (shows Safari prompt). Clearing the App Clips “Experience Cache” sometimes helps briefly, but the error returns on consequent scans. Notes: Domain has valid AASA. App Clip invocation URLs work as expected.
The issue appears tied to the number of Advanced App Clips configured. Below ~50, non–App Clip NFC scans behave correctly; above that, they fail.
Affected across multiple devices and iOS versions tested. Repro steps: Configure 50+ Advanced App Clips for paths on a single domain.
Encode a different URL on the same domain that is NOT listed as an App Clip invocation into an NFC tag.
Scan the NFC tag on iPhone.
Observe “CPSErrorDomain error 2” instead of the “Open in Safari” notification. Impact: blocks our NFC use case for regular web links once we scale App Clip experiences. Sysdiagnose #: FB20563121

Can the App Clip banner for full app download be disabled?
Hello, I have a question about the default UI in an App Clip. I know that when App Clip launches, a system banner appears at the top for a few seconds, prompting the user to download the full app from the App Store. I'd like to confirm if this is the standard, default behavior for all App Clips. More importantly, is there any way to disable or hide this banner? We would prefer to manage the prompt to download the full app within our own UI. Thanks in advance for your help!

Issue prevents submitting app for review
Hi. We have an app that includes an app clip. We have been submitting several versions for review without any problems, but a change at App Store Connect backend just caused a blocking issue to us. Every app clip is required to have a default app clip header image. It must be uploaded and saved before we submit a new app version for review. Yet we are currently unable to upload a default app clip header image. When we select the image to upload, nothing happens in the web UI. If we inspect it by Safari's web inspector, we can see that an upload-related backend API endpoint returns HTTP409-Conflict response. We have an ongoing support request with ID 102748924651. Because the request is progressing extremely slowly we have to try alternatives to just submit for review. Is there any other means for submitting an app for review other than App Store Connect? Or what else would you recommend us to do? Thanks

App Clips - How to Distinguish Between Camera Scan/URL Launch vs App Library Launch
Dear Apple Developer Support, I am writing to seek guidance regarding App Clips launch source differentiation in our restaurant application. Background: Our restaurant uses QR codes that are permanently associated with specific table numbers. These QR codes successfully launch our App Clip and pass the table information via NSUserActivity with NSUserActivityTypeBrowsingWeb. Current Issue: We are facing a significant challenge in distinguishing between different launch sources: Camera Scan/URL Launch: When customers scan the QR code using the native camera or tap a URL, the App Clip launches with the correct table information. App Library Launch: When customers launch the App Clip from the App Library, it restores the previous NSUserActivity with potentially outdated table information. The Problem: Since we cannot determine whether the App Clip was launched from the camera/URL or from the App Library, we cannot reliably decide whether to use the table information carried by userActivity. This causes customers to be directed to incorrect tables when launching from the App Library. What We've Tried: We have attempted various approaches to differentiate the launch source: Checking for AppClipActivationPayload - but it exists in both scenarios Examining UIApplicationLaunchOptionsKey and UISceneConnectionOptions Analyzing URL parameters and timestamps Implementing custom state management However, none of these methods provide reliable differentiation between camera scan launches and App Library restorations. Question: Is there any official API or recommended approach to programmatically determine if an App Clip was launched: From a camera scan/URL tap (fresh launch), OR From the App Library (state restoration) Any guidance on how to properly handle this scenario would be greatly appreciated, as it significantly impacts the user experience in our restaurant ordering system. Thank you for your time and assistance. Best regards

Case ID: 102772391808
We are enrolling on behalf of an organization. We do have following information with us. • Legal binding authority, • Legal entity status, • A D-U-N-S® number, and • A website. We are always getting the message as :- There may be an issue with your account that needs to be resolved before you can continue. Please contact support. This seems very generic message we are not getting the reason why we are not able to enroll for apple dev program.

Updating Advanced App Clip Experience in Apple Store Connect Not Working
When updating an existing advanced app clip experience, the change doesn't actually apply. It shows the correct image in the UI, but when you use the app clip it shows the old image. Looking into it more, the status has "UPDATE_SUBMITTED". Seems related to this issue (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/810544) and this issue (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/810351).

App clip card is still there
Hi everyone, I’ve removed my App Clip completely: Deleted all Advanced App Clip Experiences Removed the App Clip target from my build Removed App Clip references from my apple-app-site-association file Deleted the meta tag from my website: But when I scan the QR code, the App Clip card still appears with: "This App Clip is not currently available in your country or region." Does anyone know why this is still showing and how to fully remove it? we need to show our website when this QRCode is scanned. Thanks!

App Clip not launching from shared link in Messages when URL is same as deep link
I’m configuring App Clip launch behavior and would appreciate some clarification. In my setup, the App Clip launch URL is the same as the deep link used to open the full app. Both are configured in the Apple App Site Association (AASA) file. Observed behavior: Scanning a QR code with this URL correctly launches the App Clip. Tapping the same URL when it’s shared (for example, via Messages) launches the full app via the deep link instead of the App Clip experience. I’m reviewing the documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appclip/configuring-the-launch-experience-of-your-app-clip#Choose-App-Clip-experiences-you-want-to-support The table mentions that an App Clip can be invoked via “A shared link to an App Clip in the Messages app.” However, when I tap the shared link in Messages, the deep link experience is triggered instead of the App Clip. My questions are: Is this behavior expected when the App Clip URL and the app’s deep link URL are the same? Does launching an App Clip from a shared Messages link require a distinct URL or additional configuration beyond what’s in the AASA file? Are there specific constraints or priorities between universal links for the full app and App Clip invocation in this scenario? Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can Custom scheme URL launch cached App Clip?
I am trying to add custom scheme (CFBundleURLSchemes) to my App Clip. I launch the app clip via TestFlight to cache it to the device then i try to access the custom scheme URL to launch App Clip but nothing happened. May I know if it is something I did wrongly or just App Clip does not support Custom Scheme?

Example

App Clip fails to show up on QR code after device reboot
Every time I do a device reboot on iPhone the first app clip scan fails to show the card invocation. Seems like an iOS bug. This is my own app clip QR code I am using and works fine on 2nd and any scans after.

Thank you.
