Layer to SVG script
In the video ”Create Icons with Icon Composer”, the presenter mentions that Apple has created a layer-to-SVG script for Illustrator that‘s available for download: Once the artwork is in a good place, next we want to export the layers as SVGs. For every tool, this can look a bit different. For those using Illustrator, we've created a layer to SVG script that will automate this for you, which you can download. Exporting out the canvas size ensures everything drops right into position in Icon Composer. Here‘s the link to the mention: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2025/361/?time=377 I can’t find any place to get this script, and my designer is very interested in using it to import our Illustrator icon into Icon Composer. Can someone point me to it?

Alarm.Schedule.Relative gets scheduled to next day if too close?
Hi there, Thank you for the framework 🙏 if I use Alarm.Schedule.Relative with Alarm.Schedule.Relative.Time(hour: hour, minute: minute) and Alarm.Schedule.Relative.Recurrence.never it seems like there is some (odd?) limit where alarm will get scheduled to next day if too close? For example, lets say the current time is 12:00 PM, if I schedule alarm for 12:02 PM, it will schedule it for next day, while if I do 12:05 PM it will work as expected. Is that expected? If yes, what's the behavior and is that documented anywhere? I would expect any alarm thats scheduled in the future to fire for the current day (maybe if it's only 1 minute it gets tricky). One problem is also that even if the framework says an alarm is scheduled, I don't have access to the "next alarm date"? I wish I did as otherwise I have to compute it (by "guessing" the AlarmKit calculation) if I want to do anything with that date. Honestly, sometimes I think I am just going crazy when the alarm doesn't fire, but there SEEMS to be some odd behavior around this? (of course, feel free to correct me on anything - I could be missing documentation or not understanding something)

Live Activity doesn't update as frequently as it should
I'm developing an app which will show the driver ETA and rendering the progress bar of the current ETA. Intuitively the backend server sends the push notification every 3 seconds through firebase cloud message service to APNS so that the device can refresh the dynamic island smoothly. But the live activity doesn't refresh as frequently as the backend service does. It should refresh every 3 seconds but it turns out like refresh 30 ~ 60 seconds, sometimes it didn't refresh at all. any body facing the same?

iOS 26 UIBarButtonItems in navigation bar flashing wrong background during push/pop
An iOS app has a UINavigationController with a UINavigationBar that is non-translucent (e.g. black). When performing a push (or pop) to navigate to or from another UIViewController the UIBarButtonItems on the navigation bar are flashing a white background. With a dark navigation bar this is very noticeable and not desirable. This only occurs when run on iOS 26 and is related to Liquid Glass I've created FB19660024 with a minimal Xcode workspace to reproduce, along with a video showing the behavior. This is a cosmetic bug, not affecting functionality, but is a very undesirable effect on apps with dark and non-translucent navigation bars. Has anyone else seen this and found a workaround?

Sharelink dismisses Parent View
Hello Folks, what's causing the "smart" dismiss after shareLink? this only happens when saving the photos. view -> opens a popover -> sharelink -> save to photo -> Allow photo Access -> ✅ view -> opens a popover -> sharelink -> save to photo -> [Observe popover dismisses ❌] popover should stay open Remember to add INFOPLIST_KEY_NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription = save to album in project settings import SwiftUI @main struct sharepopoverDismissApp: App { var body: some Scene { WindowGroup { ContentView() } } } struct ContentView: View { @State private var showingSharePopover = false @State private var urlToShare: URL = Bundle.main.url(forResource: "BigBuckBunny", withExtension: "mp4") ?? SwiftSupport is missing
I'm trying to distribute an app for internal testing but I'm always getting the below error and the SwiftSupport folder is not created although I tried different fixes/configurations. How can I debug/see the reason why the SwiftSupport folder is not generated? Xcode 16.4 Build version 16F6 I tried distributing from the Transporter, Xcode organizer, I tried to archive it both from Xcode and from the command line. There are a couple of answers on StackOverflow, nothing helped. What could be the problem? One of the things I tried: xcodebuild \ -project PhotoBook.xcodeproj \ -scheme PhotoBook \ -configuration Release \ -archivePath Release/PhotoBook.xcarchive \ -destination 'generic/platform=iOS' \ -verbose \ archive xcodebuild \ -exportArchive \ -archivePath Release/PhotoBook.xcarchive \ -exportPath Release \ -exportOptionsPlist ExportOptions.plist \ -destination 'generic/platform=iOS' \ -verbose ExportOptions.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>method</key> <string>app-store-connect</string> <key>teamID</key> <string>T672CQXP54</string> <key>uploadSymbols</key> <true/> <key>uploadBitcode</key> <false/> <key>signingStyle</key> <string>manual</string> <key>provisioningProfiles</key> <dict> <key>com.mandelbrotsc.PhotoBook</key> <string>iOS Distribution Profile</string> </dict> </dict> </plist> The error: ITMS-90426: Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing. Rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode and resubmit it.

Apple Developer Program Enrollment
I enrolled for the Apple Developer Program on 19 June 2025 for my company. I was then requested to upload the necessary supporting documentation to proceed with the approval process which was done on the same day (19 June) with the case ID 102634582811. I have followed up with Apple nearly weekly since then and still have no concrete feedback or resolution to the status of my enrollment and what remediation is required if any. I have done some research and approval for the Developer Program takes 3 weeks at most from what I have heard and read. Its been over two months and I feel as though the responses I am receiving are automated without any human intervention or review into my case. This has been a frustrating process which is drastically impacting business productivity as our ability to have access to the developer portal mean we cannot build and distribute our app to users. I really hope this post can help provide some direction and at most a resolution

Not able to enroll
We are facing an issue with creating a developer account for our organisation on the App Store. Apple mentions that there was already an account with this entity whose membership got terminated 4 years back and they can't create another one. We don't have any idea who created that account. It was created and terminated before we got our DUNS number. Despite us submitting proofs that me and my partner are the authorised person for this organisation and creating a case multiple times, we have made no progress on this. How can we escalate this and ensure someone from team actually looks at our case carefully?

Feedback a iOS26 bug, iOS reset UITableViewCell.contentView
Hi all, Recently, I received feedback from users that the cell of UITableView will be enlarged when clicked on the iOS26 system. After positioning, it was found that the iOS26 system has reset the frame of the contentView so that its width is always the screen width. The following Demo can reproduce this problem. Does anyone have this problem? Is there a solution? Thanks Run and click on the cell to see the problem http://www.yangshuang.net/TestProject.zip

What's the max duration for a live activity?
The docs are conflicting. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/activitykit/starting-and-updating-live-activities-with-activitykit-push-notifications#End-the-Live-Activity-with-a-custom-dismissal-date says: When you end a Live Activity, by default the Live Activity appears on the Lock Screen for up to four hours after it ends to allow people to glance at their phone to refer to the latest information. However here it says: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/activitykit/displaying-live-data-with-live-activities#Understand-constraints A Live Activity can be active for up to eight hours unless its app or a person ends it before this limit. After the eight-hour limit, the system automatically ends the Live Activity, and immediately removes it from the Dynamic Island. However, the Live Activity remains on the Lock Screen until a person removes it or for up to four additional hours before the system removes it — whichever comes first. As a result, a Live Activity remains on the Lock Screen for a maximum of 12 hours. So is it 4 hrs OR '8 for Dynamic Island vs 12 for Lock Screen'?

[visionOS] How to render side-by-side stereo video?
I want to render a 3d/stereoscopic video in an Apple Vision Pro window using RealityKit/RealityView. The video is a left-right stereo. The straight forward approach would be to spawn a quad, and give it a custom Shader Graph material, which has a CameraIndexSwitch. The CameraIndexSwitch chooses between the right texture vs the left texture. https://i.sstatic.net/XawqjNcg.png The issue I have here is that I have to extract the video frames from my AVSampleBufferVideoRenderer. This should work ok, but not if I'm playing FairPlay content. So, my question is, how to render stereo FairPlay videos in a SwiftUI RealityView?

AppShortcuts.xcstrings does not translate each invocation phrase option separately, just the first
Due to our min iOS version, this is my first time using .xcstrings instead of .strings for AppShortcuts. When using the migrate .strings to .xcstrings Xcode context menu option, an .xcstrings catalog is produced that, as expected, has each invocation phrase as a separate string key. However, after compilation, the catalog changes to group all invocation phrases under the first phrase listed for each intent (see attached screenshot). It is possible to hover in blank space on the right and add more translations, but there is no 1:1 key matching requirement to the phrases on the left nor a requirement that there are the same number of keys in one language vs. another. (The lines just happen to align due to my window size.) What does that mean, practically? Do all sub-phrases in each language in AppShortcuts.xcstrings get processed during compilation, even if there isn't an equivalent phrase key declared in the AppShortcut (e.g., the ja translation has more phrases than the English)? (That makes some logical sense, as these phrases need not be 1:1 across languages.) In the AppShortcut declaration, if I delete all but the top invocation phrase, does nothing change with Siri? Is there something I'm doing incorrectly? struct WatchShortcuts: AppShortcutsProvider { static var appShortcuts: [AppShortcut] { AppShortcut( intent: QuickAddWaterIntent(), phrases: [ "\(.applicationName) log water", "\(.applicationName) log my water", "Log water in \(.applicationName)", "Log my water in \(.applicationName)", "Log a bottle of water in \(.applicationName)", ], shortTitle: "Log Water", systemImageName: "drop.fill" ) } }
