Static library links on device but fails on iOS Simulator
I’m working on an iOS workspace with: a static library project: M800SDK a test app project: TestAppObj I was able to build M800SDK for iOS Simulator on Apple Silicon as a simulator static library, and I also verified the architectures in the produced .a file. However, when I link the app target against that simulator build and try to build TestAppObj for iOS Simulator, I get the following linker errors: Undefined symbols for architecture arm64: _OBJC_CLASS_$_TokenMngr clang++: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 Additional context: The library links and works correctly when building the app for a physical iPhone. And the public header TokenMngr.h is found correctly by the app target. The app target is compiled as Objective-C++ where needed. The library is linked in the app target under “Link Binary With Libraries”. Could you help me understand: Is it possible to run on iOS Simulator ? the recommended way to package and consume this library for iOS Simulator on Apple Silicon? Also I am aware i can also build the library for : Any iOS Simulator Device (arm64, x86_64) And specify that on Build Phases in Link : Link Binary With Libraries adding the .a Before i do that i ensure the .a is arm64, x86_64 using the command : lipo -info libM800SDK.a end it returns : Architectures in the fat file: libM800SDK.a are: x86_64 arm64 However, even after confirming those architectures and linking the library to the app target, the app still does not link correctly for iOS Simulator. In some cases, Xcode reports errors suggesting that the build is targeting iOS Simulator, but that one of the linked binaries was built for iPhoneOS instead. This is where I am confused: I understand that lipo -info only shows the CPU architectures present in the library, but not whether a given arm64 slice was built for iPhoneOS or for iOS Simulator

Xcode 26.2 Can't download
Help please! I'm new to Xcode and my Mac is a 2021 MacBook Pro. I've downloaded Xcode recently (version 26.2) and wanted to preview and test my first App. But somehow, I just can't download the iOS simulator. People tell me that I can download resources from developer.apple.com, but I only found the iOS_18.2_runtime.dmg. I downloaded and installed the iOS 18.2 version but Xcode still requires to download the iOS 26.2 simulator. I don't know why and how to fix this problem. Please help!

App Store Connect “Missing Metadata” Nightmare: The Solution I Spent HOURS Searching For
I just spent way too many hours trying to figure out why my in-app subscription was stuck in “Missing Metadata” in App Store Connect, even though I had filled out everything. If you're here because you're in the same boat, this is the solution Apple doesn't make obvious. The Problem I created an auto-renewable subscription (Kanabloom Premium) and filled in all required fields. The subscription was still marked "Missing Metadata", preventing me from submitting it. The “In-App Purchases” section wasn’t showing up in my App Store version submission, which meant I couldn't even attach the subscription to my app version. I triple-checked the metadata, pricing, tax settings, review screenshot, and even resaved everything, but nothing worked. What I Tried (Before Finding the Fix) Checked that pricing was set up correctly for all countries. Uploaded the required review screenshot for the subscription. Made sure the subscription group existed and was linked properly. Refreshed, logged out/in, and tried different browsers. Read every Stack Overflow, Reddit, and Apple Developer Forum post I could find. Even tried creating a dummy subscription to see if that would reset the system. The Solution: Localizing the Subscription Group Here’s the stupidly hidden requirement that finally fixed it: ✅ Your subscription group itself (not just the subscription) needs a localized display name. App Store Connect requires each subscription group to have at least one localized display name for it to be valid. If this is missing, all subscriptions inside that group will stay stuck in “Missing Metadata” no matter how complete they are. How to Fix It: Go to App Store Connect > Subscriptions > Subscription Group Click on your subscription group (not the individual subscription). Check if there's a localization added under "Group Reference Name." If missing, add a localization (e.g., English) and save. Refresh the page and boom – the subscription will finally be "Ready to Submit." Conclusion Apple really needs to make this requirement clearer. Now that I’ve finally figured it out, hopefully, this post helps someone else avoid losing hours of their life to the same issue. If you're still stuck, double-check that: You’ve set pricing and enabled "Cleared for Sale." You’ve uploaded a review screenshot for the subscription. You’ve signed all App Store agreements and banking/tax documents. Your app's In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode. Let me know if this helped you! I wish I had found a post like this sooner. 😂 This should make for a useful and searchable post in case other devs run into the same headache. Let me know if you want any tweaks before posting! 🚀

symbolicate crashlog using .symbols files instead of dSYMs
Hi, Some crashes downloaded from TestFlight aren't symbolicated by Xcode and I don't know why, here's an example: Although all uploaded builds contain debug symbols (Symbols directory with .symbols files) and other crashlogs in the same version are symbolicated just fine (also visible on the above SS). I have access only to the .symbols files but not to the original dSYMs and I wonder how to perform symbolication manually. I tried pointing atos and symbolicatecrash utilities to respective .symbols file, but they are unable to work with it. I'm sure it's possible as TestFlight symbolicates crashlogs using only .symbols files somehow. Could you give a hint?

Product ID conflict for IAP across staging/production apps
I’m working on a Flutter application that implements subscriptions using in-app purchases (IAP). I currently have two apps under the same developer account: One for staging One for production In App A (staging), I successfully created a monthly subscription with the product ID: rc_1299_monthly However, when I try to create a subscription with the same product ID (rc_1299_monthly) in App B (production), I encounter the following error: "The Product ID you entered is already being used by another subscription." My understanding was that product IDs are scoped per app, but this error suggests there may be account-level constraints. Has anyone encountered this before? Is it required to use unique product IDs across all apps under the same account, or is there a recommended approach for handling staging vs production setups? Any clarification or best practices would be appreciated.

Generating a new FPS certificate (SDK 26) alongside an existing SDK 4 certificate
Hi, Our client currently has an FPS deployment certificate generated with SDK version 4 that is still actively used in production. They would like to generate an additional certificate using SDK version 26. Before doing so, they just want to confirm: Will the existing SDK 4 certificate remain unaffected and still visible in the Apple Developer portal? Any considerations they should keep in mind? Thanks! :)

macOS 26.4 regression with Mac Catalyst apps using PhotoKit: Photos do not appear when using limited access - Failed to get sandbox extension for url - Image request failed with error PHPhotosErrorDomain Code 3303
I just submitted FB22318443. In Mac Catalyst apps running on macOS 26.4, if you choose to limit the app's access to specific photos (as opposed to granting full access), the photos do not appear in the app. 💀 This issue does not occur on iPadOS. It is a macOS 26.4 regression. It occurs even with apps built using a previous version of the SDK such as 26.2. A sample of the console logs: [RM]: 4-1-1 failed to decode for asset: 9290CC20-B85D-47B5-BDBE-D330FE61773D, error code: 3303, description: Error Domain=PHPhotosErrorDomain Code=3303 "(null)" Failed to get sandbox extension for url: file:///Users/Jordan/Pictures/Photos%20Library.photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/masters/9/9290CC20-B85D-47B5-BDBE-D330FE61773D_4_5005_c.jpeg, error: Error Domain=com.apple.photos.error Code=44001 "sandbox extension not in the cache after requesting them for path: /Users/Jordan/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/masters/9/9290CC20-B85D-47B5-BDBE-D330FE61773D_4_5005_c.jpeg" UserInfo={NSDebugDescription=sandbox extension not in the cache after requesting them for path: /Users/Jordan/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary/resources/derivatives/masters/9/9290CC20-B85D-47B5-BDBE-D330FE61773D_4_5005_c.jpeg} [RM]: 1-1-1 Image request failed with error: Error Domain=PHPhotosErrorDomain Code=3303 "(null)"

"Invalid Certificate Signing Request" error when generating MDM Push Certificate
Hello, I am currently developing an MDM solution, including both the sever-side(.NET) and the client app. I have recently been granted the "MDM CSR" signing permission in the Certificates, Identifier & Profiles of my developer account. I am following the official Apple documentation, "Setting up Push Notifications for your MDM Customers," to generate the required MDM Push Certificate. However, I keep encountering the "Invalid Certificate Signing Request" error when uploading the encoded .plist file to the Apple Push Certificates Portal(identity.apple.com/pushcert). The steps I have taken so far: Generated .csr file via Keychain Access Used the MDM SCR certificate to sign the request. Created a .plist file for th final upload containing : Customer CSR: Base64 encoded Signature : Signed using the SHA256withRSA algorithm and Base64 encoded. Certificate Chain : Including my MDM Vendor Signing Certificate, the Apple WWDR intermediate certificate, and the Apple Root CA. Issues/Questions: Is there a specific requirement for the order of the certificates in the chain? Are there common pitfalls regarding the .plist structure or the encoding of the signature that might cause the "Invalid CSR" error? Is there a tool or a specific validation step I can use to verify the integrity of the generated .plist before uploading? I have double-checked the encoding and the signing process, but the portal continues to reject the request. Any insights or guidance from community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

App rejected for 4.3(a) duplicate, but it's the same app (rebranding update)
Hello, I am facing a rejection under Guideline 4.3(a) - Spam for "duplicate apps". However, this submission is an update of an existing app (same bundle identifier), not a new app. The update only includes a company rebranding (name, icon, and screenshots). At the moment, we only have one app with this functionality available on the App Store, and we are not intentionally distributing multiple apps targeting the same users or storefronts. The review team mentioned that the app duplicates another app we submitted, but we are unable to identify which app they are referring to. Has anyone experienced a similar issue where Apple flagged a duplicate app even though only one app is live? How did you resolve it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Section(isExpanded:) in sidebar List, inconsistent row animation on collapse/expand
When using Section(_:isExpanded:) inside a List with .listStyle(.sidebar) in a NavigationSplitView, some rows don't animate with the others during collapse and expand. Specific rows (often in the middle of the section) snap in/out instantly while the rest animate smoothly. I've reproduced this with both static views and ForEach. Minimal reproduction: struct SidebarView: View { @State private var sectionExpanded = true @State private var selection: Int? var body: some View { NavigationSplitView { List(selection: $selection) { Section("Section", isExpanded: $sectionExpanded) { ForEach(1...3, id: \.self) { index in NavigationLink(value: index) { Label("Item \(index)", systemImage: "\(index).circle") } } } } .listStyle(.sidebar) .navigationTitle("Sidebar") } detail: { if let selection { Text("Selected item \(selection)") } else { Text("Select an item") } } } } Environment: macOS 26.3, Xcode 26.3, SwiftUI Steps to reproduce: Run the above code in a macOS app Click the section disclosure chevron to collapse Observe that some rows animate out while others snap instantly Expand again — same inconsistency Expected: All rows animate together uniformly. Actual: Some rows (typically middle items) skip the animation entirely. I also tried using static Label views instead of ForEach, same result. Is there a known workaround?

Different transaction IDs for the same purchase between SKPaymentTransaction and receipt latest_receipt_info
Hello, I am investigating a case where two different transaction IDs appear to refer to the same purchase, and I would like clarification on whether this behavior is expected. Additional context StoreKit version: StoreKit 1 (SKPaymentTransaction) Environment: Production Product type: Auto-renewable subscription Transaction sources The values are obtained from the following APIs: transaction_id from SKPaymentTransaction https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/skpaymentqueue receipt_data from the App Store receipt https://developer.apple.com/documentation/foundation/bundle/appstorereceipturl Observed behavior After an In-App Purchase completes, the app receives: a transaction_id from SKPaymentTransaction the corresponding receipt_data for the purchase When inspecting the receipt, the transaction_id inside latest_receipt_info differs from the transaction_id received directly from the purchase transaction. For clarity: A = transaction_id received from the purchase flow (SKPaymentTransaction) A' = transaction_id found in receipt_data.latest_receipt_info The two values are different, but they differ only by 1. Additional observation The original_transaction_id for A and A' is identical, which suggests that both transaction IDs belong to the same subscription purchase chain. Pattern observation on the ID difference We have observed that the difference between A and A' is consistently exactly 1 (i.e., A' = A + 1) across multiple transactions, not just a single case. This appears to be a reproducible pattern rather than a coincidence. This observation raises an additional question (Question 6 below). API verification When calling: GET /inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId} Both A and A' return what appears to be the same purchase record. The response data is effectively identical except for the transactionId field. However, when calling: GET /inApps/v2/history/{transactionId} A does not appear in the transaction history only A' appears in the history response Questions If A does not appear in transaction history, where does this transaction ID originate from? Why does Get Transaction Info (/inApps/v1/transactions/{transactionId}) return a valid response for A even though it is not present in the transaction history? Why do A and A' both resolve to what appears to be the same purchase? In this situation, which transaction ID should be treated as the canonical transaction ID for server-side validation? Is this difference related to how StoreKit 1 (SKPaymentTransaction) and the App Store Server API represent transactions? Is the consistent off-by-one difference between the transaction_id from SKPaymentTransaction and the one recorded in latest_receipt_info an intentional behavior of StoreKit 1's internal transaction ID assignment? Specifically, we are wondering whether StoreKit 1 applies some form of internal offset when delivering the transaction ID to the client, while the App Store server records a different (adjacent) ID in the receipt. If so, is this documented anywhere? Note We are currently in the process of migrating to StoreKit 2, but this behavior was observed while investigating our existing StoreKit 1 implementation. Any clarification would help us better understand the correct transaction model during the migration.

Organization enrollment Pending — paid twice, no membership confirmation email — Case ID 102844508761
Hi Apple Developer Support team, I am writing because I have exhausted every available support channel and need urgent manual intervention. Organization: Bedrock Residences Limited Apple ID: Temitope Moronkeji Case ID: 102844508761 Enrollment ID 333LLR3M2M Issue started: March 14, 2026 What happened: I enrolled Bedrock Residences Limited in the Apple Developer Program as an organization. I have completed the $99 payment twice. Both times I received the purchase acknowledgement email confirming the order. Neither time did I receive the membership confirmation email. My account has remained on Pending status for over 10 days. What I have tried: Contacted Apple Developer Support via email on March 14 and March 20 Zero response on both occasions The support portal will not allow me to reply to or update Case ID 102844508761 The "Get More Help" option on the support page does not allow me to submit a new request Current status: Account shows Pending "Complete your purchase" prompt still appears despite two completed payments No access to App Store Connect No membership confirmation email received on either attempt Two $99 charges on my card with nothing to show for it This is blocking an active iOS app launch for our organization. Based on reports from other developers on this forum, this appears to be a backend activation failure on Apple's side and requires manual intervention by the Developer Enrollment team. I am requesting: Manual activation of the Bedrock Residences Limited developer account Confirmation of which payment to apply and refund of the duplicate charge A direct callback or email response — not an automated reply I have been patient for 10 days. Please help.

App Store Connect API returning 403 from perfPowerMetrics using Admin / Dev role keys
I'm unexpectedly getting 403 status codes when calling the perfPowerMetrics APIs for any arbitrary app on my account. This worked last week, it is not working now. I have since revoked keys and recreated admin and developer keys--no luck, still getting 403. I've been working with the analytics APIs lately so I don't know exactly when the power and performance API stopped working. I've narrowed it down to something related to the token scope. When I have a scope on this endpoint of "GET /v1/apps/1234567890/perfPowerMetrics" it is rejected -- but the docs say I can create a token and reduce its scope like this. When I remove the scope and let the token be unbounded, the API call returns a valid response. FB22313063 - App Store Connect API: Fetching xcode metrics with an admin key generated token results in a 403 unexpectedly

Inquiry regarding Local Push Connectivity Entitlement
Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your support. I have reviewed the documentation for Local Push Connectivity (see URL below) and, following the instruction in the "Important" section to "Request this entitlement from the Entitlement Request Page," I completed the application process for this Entitlement on March 11, 2026. [Local push connectivity] https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/local-push-connectivity?language=objc#Supporting-APNs-and-local-push-connectivity-in-one-app Subsequently, on March 13, 2026, I received the following reply from Apple: Sub : Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement From: Local Push Review Sent: Friday, March 13, 2026 4:09 AM Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Local Push Connectivity entitlement. Your entitlement request has been approved for: Team ID: NWKYYYYYYY Technical documentation on this API is available here: -(Omission) - Best Regards, Apple Developer Relations My understanding is that upon approval of this application, an "Entitlements" field should be added to the input fields for creating provisioning profiles. However, as of today(March 18, 2026), it has not yet been added. Will the Entitlements field be added if I simply wait? My account (Apple ID), which submitted the application, belongs to three Team IDs. For convenience, I will refer to them as Team ID SV3XXXXXXX, Team ID NWKYYYYYYY, and Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ. The application status for Entitlements for each Team ID is as follows: Team ID SV3XXXXXXX Entitlements: Present. Applied for Entitlements on February 6, 2021. (Received "Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement" email on February 6, 2021) Team ID NWKYYYYYYY Entitlements: Not present. Applied for Entitlements on March 13, 2026. (Received "Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement" email on March 13, 2026) Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ Entitlements: Present. No record (email) of applying for Entitlements. Because of this, I am concerned that the Entitlements applied for Team ID NWKYYYYYYY may have been mistakenly granted to Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ, and I am inquiring about this. Will the Entitlements field for Team ID NWKYYYYYYY be added if I simply wait? Thank you in advance.

My App Rejected 4.3 Design: Spam
hii submitted app yesterday to review, This morning I was surprised that the application was rejected, Reason 4.3 Design: Spam. And I've introduced an application programmed by myself, and a unique design. This message I receivedGuideline 4.3 - DesignWe noticed that your app provides the same feature set as other apps submitted to the App Store; it simply varies in content or language, which is considered a form of spam. The next submission of this app may require a longer review time, and this app will not be eligible for an expedited review until this issue is resolved.what should I do ?
