Build/Archive failure in Xcode 16.2 after updating macOS to 26.2
We are encountering a build and archive failure in Xcode after updating our development machine to macOS 26.2. Environment: macOS: 26.2 Xcode: 16.2 iOS Deployment Target / Runtime: iOS 18.5 App Type: Production iOS app (App Store distribution) Issue: Before updating macOS, the project built and archived successfully. After the macOS 26.2 update, archiving fails consistently, even though no major changes were made to the project code or configuration. Certificates, provisioning profiles, and signing settings are correctly configured. The issue appears to be related to the macOS/Xcode environment rather than application logic. Steps to Reproduce: Open the existing iOS project in Xcode 16.2. Select the App Store distribution scheme. Attempt to Archive the project. Archive/build fails. Expected Result: Successful archive allowing upload to App Store Connect. Actual Result: Archive fails after macOS 26.2 update. Additional Info: This post is linked to Apple Developer Technical Support Case-ID: 18413014.

App freezes when running in Rosetta simulator on Xcode 26 (works on device and ARM simulator)
Hello, We are experiencing a recurring issue when running iOS apps in the Rosetta simulator on Xcode 26. Environment: Xcode: 26.0 macOS: 15.7.3 Simulator: Intel-based (Rosetta) simulators Languages: Both Swift and Objective-C Issue: When launching an app in a Rosetta simulator, the app frequently freezes or fails to run. In many cases, Xcode reports that the debugger has lost connection. Xcode error message: Lost connection to the debugger on “iPhone 12”. Domain: IDEDebugSessionErrorDomain Code: 22 Failure Reason: Message from debugger: lost connection Console log: assertion failed: GPR thread_set_state is unimplemented for NewThread (ThreadContextRegisterState.cpp:920 host_gpr_state_from_guest_state) Observed behavior: Rebuilding after fully quitting the simulator sometimes resolves the issue temporarily. Disabling Scheme > Run > Debug executable allows the app to run normally, but debugging (breakpoints, etc.) becomes unavailable. The issue does not occur: On real devices On ARM-based simulators When building with Xcode 16 using Rosetta Has anyone encountered this issue with Xcode 26 and Rosetta simulators? Is this a known bug, and are there any recommended workarounds besides disabling the debugger or restarting the simulator? Thank you in advance for any insights or guidance.

AppStoreServerNotificationV2 EXPIRED event after removing from sale
Our app is supposed to be removed from sale on May 31st. Subscriptions our app is offering will also be removed on May 1st one month before our app removal. I would like to know if AppStoreServerNotificationV2 EXPIRED event will be sent to a specified endpoint after the removal of these subscriptions. I think each subscription will be canceled automatically from May 1st to May 31st and it will send EXPIRED event to our server, but is it true? Thank you in advance.

Annoying popup window in Xcode Previews when the initial controller of the main storyboard is a macOS window
I started a project targeting macOS and used Storyboard app lifecycle. I also used Xcode Previews in this project. If I: Keep the entry point of the main storyboard to a window controller. (as default setup in macOS), Turn the Xcode window into full-screen, That window controller would pop up its window every time Xcode Previews refreshes. I tested in Xcode 26.3 RC and many versions before.

Where is the Apple Developer Program and Support I have paid for?
Been trying to get into Developer Prgram since December 2025. And like many others, it seems the biggest tech company on the planet cannot streamline an enrollment program. Unless, it’s by design, to test your nerve? Anyways, I have now ended up paying twice, and still not even a squeak from support. There is no Developer Support phone number in South Africa, and mails go unanswered. How is this possible? $200 out of pocket, and nothing to show. Cannot even find a method for refunds. If there are steps to still follow or docs to submit, why take my money, then ask for more info?? But this black hole of SILENCE…. Now that skype is no longer, what other platform will allow me to call the US Support number from South Africa?

How to Integrate Apple Wallet with Custom FinTech Apps
Hi everyone, With the rapid growth of digital banking, payments, and AI-driven financial services, building secure and scalable FinTech apps on iOS has become more complex than ever. From handling sensitive user data to ensuring compliance and seamless performance, iOS developers face multiple technical challenges. Key areas that usually require deep expertise include: Apple Pay and Wallet integrations Secure authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / biometrics) Real-time transaction processing Core ML for financial predictions SwiftUI dashboards for financial analytics Data encryption and regulatory compliance https://www.nimbleappgenie.com At Nimble AppGenie, we’ve worked extensively as a FinTech app development expert, helping startups and enterprises design and build iOS financial applications that are secure, scalable, and user-centric. Our experience shows that the most successful fintech apps are those that balance strong security architecture with intuitive UX and performance optimization. I’m interested to hear from the community: What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced while building fintech apps on iOS? Are there any recent iOS updates or Apple frameworks that significantly improved your fintech workflows? How are you handling compliance and security in production apps? Looking forward to learning from everyone’s experiences and best practices.

Inquiry Regarding iPhone iOS APIs for Parental Approval and Age-Based Access
Hello Apple Developer Support Team, We are developing an iOS iPhone application and would like clarification on whether Apple provides any APIs or system-level support to implement parental approval workflows aligned with certain regional regulatory requirements (for example, Texas, Utah, and Louisiana). Our intended use cases are outlined below: Initial Approval (App Download Stage) We understand that, in some situations, when a minor attempts to download an app from the App Store on iPhone, iOS may require approval through Family Sharing / Ask to Buy. We would like to confirm: • Whether there is any developer-accessible API that allows an iPhone app to detect if installation was approved via parental consent. • Whether apps can receive any callback, status indicator, or system signal confirming parental approval or rejection. • Whether the Declared Age Range API or any related framework provides access to parental approval or age verification signals. Ongoing Approval for Significant Changes For regulatory compliance, we may need to request parental re-approval when introducing significant application updates (for example, adding chat functionality, social interaction features, or modifying data collection practices). We would like clarification on: • Whether iOS provides any mechanism or API that allows iPhone apps to trigger or request parental re-approval after the application has already been installed. • Whether Apple provides any built-in workflows, system prompts, or entitlement-based approaches that support this type of re-approval process. In-App Handling of Parent Approval Requirements If our backend determines that a minor user requires parental approval before continuing to use certain app features, we would like to understand: • Whether Apple provides any APIs, SDKs, or recommended frameworks that allow initiating or facilitating parental authorization from within the iPhone app. • Whether there are any callbacks, permission states, entitlement checks, or system notifications that developers can use to determine and track parental consent status. If any such capabilities exist, we would greatly appreciate links to official documentation, technical guidance, or sample implementations demonstrating how approval status can be retrieved and handled in an iOS iPhone application. Also from which iOS version this capabilities will work & how to handle lower iOS version which is not supporting. Additionally, if Apple recommends alternative compliance approaches using existing frameworks such as Family Sharing, Screen Time APIs, or Declared Age Range, we would appreciate guidance on best practices for implementation. Also, could you please clarify the minimum iOS version that supports these capabilities? We would also appreciate recommendations on how developers should manage or implement fallback handling for devices running lower iOS versions where these capabilities are not supported. Thank you for your assistance and guidance in ensuring compliance with Apple platform policies and regional regulatory requirements. Kind regards

Worst support experience I’ve ever had Apple Developer enrollment stuck in an endless “use the app” loop (identity verification fails)
I’ve honestly never received service this bad from a company and I don’t say that lightly. This is the worst support experience I’ve ever had. I’m trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program, but I’m stuck in a loop that has been going on for months: The Apple Developer app repeatedly fails during identity verification and tells me there’s an issue. When I contact support, they tell me they’ll email me instructions. The email says: “Please use the Apple Developer app to enroll.” I reply saying: “I did. It doesn’t work. The verification fails.” And the response is again: “Use the Apple Developer app.” Over and over, with no actual troubleshooting or escalation. This is not a user-error situation — I’m following the instructions exactly. I need someone to look at what’s happening on Apple’s side (verification/enrollment status) and give a real resolution path, not the same copy-paste response. Details: Country/Region: [your region] Devices tried: [iPhone model + iOS version], [Mac model + macOS version] Exact error message shown in the app: [paste here] Support case number (if relevant): 102784352083 What I’m asking: Can Apple reset/clear my enrollment/verification state so I can retry cleanly? Is there an official fix for this verification error? Is there an alternative way to complete enrollment if the app keeps failing? Can this be escalated to the enrollment/identity verification team? Again: I’ve never experienced support this bad from any company. I just want to enroll and pay — but I’m blocked with no real help.

How can I use private AI agents in Xcode 26.3?
I work on some proprietary codebases and can only use private AI services with them (currently MiniMax M2.1 and GLM 4.7). It all works great with both Claude Code and OpenCode agents, and I'd like to leverage the new agentic capabilities that are now in Xcode 26.3. I'm not seeing any option to connect to OpenCode, and both the Anthropic and OpenAI providers require an enterprise account (which I don't have access to). Are there any options that I'm missing here?

Testing Significant Location Change
We are currently developing a research-based iOS application that relies heavily on background capabilities, specifically Significant Location Change. We are using CLLocationManager.startMonitoringSignificantLocationChanges(). During development, when using Debug → Simulate Location in Xcode, we receive a location update only once. Subsequent simulated location changes do not trigger additional callbacks, which makes testing and development quite cumbersome. Are there any tools, commands, or workflows (e.g., via Xcode, Instruments, or system-level simulation) to reliably simulate multiple significant location change callbacks for testing purposes? If there aren't such tools, how do I test this behaviour reliably, robustly and rigidly?

Apple Developer Program – Membership Pending After Payment
Hi everyone, I subscribed to the Apple Developer Program on Tuesday evening, Jan 30th, 2025. The payment has already been successfully charged to my bank account, but my account is still showing “Pending” with the message “Subscribe your membership.” It has been several days now, and I haven’t received any confirmation email or any request for additional verification. I’ve already contacted Apple Developer Support via email, but I wanted to check here as well. Has anyone else faced this issue recently? How long did it take for your membership to become active? Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

symbolicate crashlog using .symbols files instead of dSYMs
Hi, Some crashes downloaded from TestFlight aren't symbolicated by Xcode and I don't know why, here's an example: Although all uploaded builds contain debug symbols (Symbols directory with .symbols files) and other crashlogs in the same version are symbolicated just fine (also visible on the above SS). I have access only to the .symbols files but not to the original dSYMs and I wonder how to perform symbolication manually. I tried pointing atos and symbolicatecrash utilities to respective .symbols file, but they are unable to work with it. I'm sure it's possible as TestFlight symbolicates crashlogs using only .symbols files somehow. Could you give a hint?

Sharing: How I Built an IPv4/IPv6 Dual-Stack Network Diagnostic Tool for iOS
Hi everyone 👋 As a network engineer and indie iOS developer, I couldn’t find a lightweight mobile tool that fully supports IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack diagnostics — so I built NetToolbox -All-In-One Utility for engineers, DevOps, and developers. Here are its core features that solve real mobile networking pain points: One-Click Full Diagnostics: Integrates ping, traceroute, and multi-type DNS queries (A/AAAA/CNAME) — no need to switch between apps IPv4/IPv6 Dual-Stack Support: Seamlessly works in IPv6-only networks, with the ability to test connectivity differences between dual-stack environments LAN Device Scanning: Quickly identifies all devices on the same network segment and checks port availability Offline Functionality: Diagnostic logic is stored locally, enabling LAN troubleshooting without an internet connection Lightweight Design: 5MB install size, no storage bloat, and low power consumption during operation Dark Mode Support: Tailored for developers who work late at night During development, I leveraged Apple Intelligence alongside Claude Code and Gemini 3 to accelerate the process, optimize iOS native networking stack adaptation and local storage logic, and significantly boost development efficiency. I’d love to hear from the community: What must-have features are missing from mobile network diagnostic tools? Do you have experience optimizing iOS workflows with Apple Intelligence? 👉 You can try the app here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nettoolbox-all-in-one-utility/id6757392404 Feedback is highly appreciated — I’ll keep iterating to make it better! 🚀
