My app was rejected because of App Review Guideline 4.3 – Design Spam. The response I received states:
“We noticed your app shares similar features, interface design, and functionality with other apps available on the App Store. Apps that duplicate content or functionality from other apps without adding significant value or unique user experiences are considered spam and will not be approved for distribution.”
I developed Plinking Platform Rise, a reaction and accuracy game where players control a platform to balance a ball while avoiding obstacles. The game becomes more challenging with each level, and a dark mode adds an exciting element by reducing visibility and requiring greater precision.
I’ve tried multiple times to understand the exact reasons for this rejection and made several updates to address potential issues, but all my efforts have been ignored by App Review. None of the changes I implemented led to a resolution.
This is the first app I’ve submitted to the App Store, and I developed it independently. I haven’t copied any design, functionality, or gameplay from existing apps. While my app uses Unity, which might result in some similarities, I’ve worked hard to create a unique experience with original gameplay, visuals, and mechanics.
I can’t identify any apps that closely resemble mine, but the rejection suggests otherwise. I would appreciate any advice on how to resolve this issue and demonstrate the originality of my app.

This question came up, a customer wants to add payment, with gesture, to their app. This gesture is a swipe, from bottom to top (like when minimizing applications). The question immediately arose, will the application pass the review with such UI/UX ? Will there be any problems ? I'm not talking about problems when the user can minimize the application when paying, or pay (accidentally) when minimizing. I want to know if there will be any problems from Apple's rules when releasing the app ? I haven't found the exact information yet

SwiftUI.List allows for customization using .listItemTint, .tint, or .foregroundStyle. This can be used to color individual items in the list, other than the app's specified accent color.
Is there an equivalent feature to customize individual Tab's icon or label, when using TabView's SidebarAdaptableTabViewStyle, and its in the sidebar style.
From what I understand, there needs to be a modifier applied directly to Tab unlike List, and not just the label.
Since there isn't any color/tint modifiers, is it not possible?

I conducted extensive research on the App Store and found no similar apps in the Entertainment category that match Plinco's concept and functionality. My app is built from scratch, without using pre-existing templates or duplicated content.
Despite implementing multiple updates to address potential concerns, I have not received specific feedback clarifying the exact issue. I am fully committed to delivering a high-quality and original app and kindly request a more detailed explanation of the rejection, as well as a fair review of my submission.

the documentation says that an application bundle for Mac OS X can have a Frameworks folder within Contents. Using a framework for console applications (no bundle) and GUI applications (bundle), I cannot load the console applications anymore on Ventura.
Prior to Ventora I have tested and ran both on Mojave or earlier - I am not sure.
To fix the issue, I have moved the frameworks within the application bundle to match the rpath for /Users/lothar/Library/Frameworks when I place the console into /Users/lothar/bin, the same rpath for application bundles works for those within the bin folder.
Can I publish an application bundle with that modified layout or do I have to expect getting problems and do rather a Symlink pointing from /Users/lothar/Frameworks to /Users/lothar/Library/Frameworks?

I am using iOS 18.1 on an iPhone 16 Pro. Although I am using a SanDisk external hard drive, the iPhone’s Files app is not recognizing the drive properly, and video files are not playing well. So, I started with the developer beta on Tahoe a couple months ago. I gave the new Apps.app a fair shot.... I HATE it. Finally used a terminal work around to get Launchpad back up and running. Now with the release of the Public Beta and Developer Beta 5, Apple has nerfed the Launchpad.app altogether. Apple, listen to your customers. Yes some people really love spotlight but not everyone wants to scroll through a list of apps as long as my leg because, my PTSD brain won't let me remember the name of the app to type into spotlight. The Launchpad app had a great visual reference for those of us with poor memory function. Bring it back, and let your customers choose which one they want to use.
When you use .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "placeholder", in: placehoder)) for navigation animation, going back using the swipe gesture is still very buggy on IOS26. I know it has been mentioned in other places like here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/796805?answerId=856846022#856846022 but nothing seems to have been done to fix this issue.

I wish there was a way to at least disable the swipe back gesture until this bug is fixed.
After updating from iOS 18 to iOS 26, our app icon appears to have automatically received the new 'Liquid Glass' effect. We confirmed that this change occurred without us releasing a new app update.
My questions are:
Is this a system behavior where iOS 26 automatically applies the new icon style to existing apps?
If so, is it possible for a developer to control or customize this effect? I am also wondering if there are any methods other than using Icon Composer.
I tried to create a Text View using attributedString. I want to set the line height using paragraphStyle and return the Text, but paragraphStyle is not being applied. Why is that?

I am developing an app that requires calling the iPhone's Face ID module to scan users' facial data. Where can I find Apple's design resources and guidelines for Face ID? The Face ID resources available in Figma are incomplete, and I need more support.
For example, in the iPhone settings, the scenario: the UI interface for scanning the user's face to collect data, specifically the circular design in the "How to Set Up Face ID" screen.
I like this font. but in license only allowed for use in Mockup UI.

Recently I decided to download my app from the App Store and found out that during the first launch some colors were missing or displayed incorreclty. For example one button was blue, although switching dark mode on and off solved button color it. Some colors were completely missing and the tab bar buttons were blue as well. Any advices?

Code that disables a tab bar item via UITabBarItem.isEnabled = false used to both grey out the item and block taps on iOS 18. On iOS 26, the item often remains tappable and selectable, even though isEnabled is set to false. This looks like a behavior change or regression.

open MainMenu.xib, and select Main Menu → File → Print...
remove the image like below

6. The menu item "print.." still have "Image"
Is there any way to remove image for one menu item.
I have also tried NSMenuItem.image = nil, but still not work.
The issue I met on my own app is that I cannot remove icons for "Zoom In", "Zoom Out" and many other menu items, which makes the menu items not aligned properly.
The dividing lines of List Section overlap, which is uncomfortable to look at.
