Hello! I’m excited to see that Look to Scroll has been included in visionOS 26 Beta. I’m aiming to achieve a feature where the user’s gaze at a specific edge automatically scrolls to that position. However, I’ve experimented with ScrollView and haven’t been able to trigger this functionality. Could you advise if additional API modifiers are necessary? Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I’m testing our SwiftUI app on both Xcode simulator and a real iPhone. On the simulator, everything looks clean and aligned. But when I run it on an actual iPhone (same build, iOS 18), the layout looks broken—fonts overlap, spacing is off, and elements are misaligned.
Both screenshots are from the exact same screen and time. First is simulator, second is iPhone.
Any idea why this difference happens? Is there something I should check in terms of rendering or layout settings?

SwiftUI.List allows for customization using .listItemTint, .tint, or .foregroundStyle. This can be used to color individual items in the list, other than the app's specified accent color.
Is there an equivalent feature to customize individual Tab's icon or label, when using TabView's SidebarAdaptableTabViewStyle, and its in the sidebar style.
From what I understand, there needs to be a modifier applied directly to Tab unlike List, and not just the label.
Since there isn't any color/tint modifiers, is it not possible?
UIBarButtonItem setting isEnabled = false, but the item is still tappable and animating. Is this a new UI behavior or an issue?
Do the following steps:
On tapping on a UIBarButtonItem, disable by setting isEnabled = false and setting hidesSharedBackground = true
Enable the button by setting isEnabled = true and setting hidesSharedBackground = false
=> The button appears with bigger shared background

So, I started with the developer beta on Tahoe a couple months ago. I gave the new Apps.app a fair shot.... I HATE it. Finally used a terminal work around to get Launchpad back up and running. Now with the release of the Public Beta and Developer Beta 5, Apple has nerfed the Launchpad.app altogether. Apple, listen to your customers. Yes some people really love spotlight but not everyone wants to scroll through a list of apps as long as my leg because, my PTSD brain won't let me remember the name of the app to type into spotlight. The Launchpad app had a great visual reference for those of us with poor memory function. Bring it back, and let your customers choose which one they want to use.
After updating from iOS 18 to iOS 26, our app icon appears to have automatically received the new 'Liquid Glass' effect. We confirmed that this change occurred without us releasing a new app update.
My questions are:
Is this a system behavior where iOS 26 automatically applies the new icon style to existing apps?
If so, is it possible for a developer to control or customize this effect? I am also wondering if there are any methods other than using Icon Composer.

Is there any good up-to-date tutorial about publishing a Python based app on Apple Store?
Now, I have developed a standalone Python app from PyCharm, and it's using Pyside6 for UI and some major Python libraries. It's a productivity app with a little A.I. features. I used PyInstaller to prepare the app. Currently, I am stuck at the stage of codesign and Apple Review process, because I am manually doing codesign and building the package from command-line. Without using Xcode, things can get messy or miss easily.
It would be nice to follow a up-to-date tutorial about how to complete the codesign and Apple Review process for a Python based app. For example, what to do, how to do, what to be careful during the Apple Review process, etc. Thanks!

This can't be right. Is there really no replacement for Quartz Debug?!?
As the sole developer on a project who has an Intel Mac and Quartz Debug, I am basically a god now.
Everyone else has Apple Silicon and... I think they're randomly guessing at this point.
Because I have entire teams sending me Intel Mac builds of stuff just so I can test it in QD.
This is THE TOOL we used at NewTek to find performance issues, and THE TOOL I used for a dozen companies after that, to help them with similar issues.
If there's no replacement, is there a reason there's no replacement? This feels like a massive step backwards, having to guess at problems like this.

Just posted this feedback regarding macOS 26 "Tahoe" (FB19853155) - please support with additional submissions if you share my view. I will miss the beautiful and individual designed icons of the past!
"macOS 26 is enforcing squicles for app icons, falling back to a grey background for 3rd party apps without a compliant AppIcon asset.
As a result many original app icons are reduced in size and hard to distinguish because they share the same background color. Although I respect Apple's strive for an iOS-like UI on Macs, a smooth transition path would be more user- and developer-friendly ... e.g. with some info.plist property to opt-out icon migration, potentially ignored by a future macOS version.
The current solution causes a bad usability, and makes the system look inconsistent as many - especially free - software will not be updated with new icon designs. Please reconsider this bad design decision!"
I'm working on updating our iOS app for the latest Xcode version and noticed the new UIDesignRequiresCompatibility key requirement in Info.plist for apps targeting older iOS designs (without liquid glass). Is there an official timeline for when this compatibility key will be deprecated/removed so that we can plan our liquid glass design changes?
Code that disables a tab bar item via UITabBarItem.isEnabled = false used to both grey out the item and block taps on iOS 18. On iOS 26, the item often remains tappable and selectable, even though isEnabled is set to false. This looks like a behavior change or regression.

open MainMenu.xib, and select Main Menu → File → Print...
remove the image like below

Is there any way to remove image for one menu item.
I have also tried NSMenuItem.image = nil, but still not work.
The issue I met on my own app is that I cannot remove icons for "Zoom In", "Zoom Out" and many other menu items, which makes the menu items not aligned properly.

Steps
Initial check in Apple Maps
No saved places or pinned addresses appear.
Open Personal Contacts
You have two addresses stored in your contact card: Main and Home.
Pin & Edit “Main”
You pinned the Main address in Maps.
Refined the location on the map.
Renamed it (but still saved under the type “My Home”).
Open “Home” Address in Contacts
Refined the location again.
Changed the type to “My Home.”
Attempted to rename, but no option to change the label.
Final Saved Places View
Shows two entries both called “Main.”
Opening either of them displays the same details for the Home address.
Saved Places list only shows the full address text, without the ability to rename them inside Maps.
Results
Both addresses appear duplicated with the same name (“Main”), even though they point to different underlying addresses.
When selecting either entry, Apple Maps incorrectly shows the same Home address details.
The Saved Places section does not allow renaming; it defaults to showing the full address string.
Issues Identified
Sync Conflict Between Contacts & Maps
Apple Maps pulls labels/types from Contacts, but the edits don’t update consistently across apps.
Duplicate Naming Bug
Both “Main” and “Home” collapse into “Main” in Saved Places, making them indistinguishable.
One-to-One Mapping Failure
Regardless of which saved place you open, Maps shows the same Home entry, meaning the system isn’t correctly binding each saved place to its respective contact address.
Renaming Limitation
Apple Maps doesn’t allow renaming saved addresses directly — it relies on Contacts. Since Contacts only supports preset labels (Home, Work, School, etc.), custom naming is blocked.

I am using a common UI pattern: UITabBarController as window root, each tab with a separate UINavigationController stack. I want the (bottom!) tab bar to be only visible when the user is at the root of the app and hide it when a detail page is opened.
To do that, I used hidesBottomBarWhenPushed on any view controller that would be pushed on my navigation stacks and that worked fine in the past.
But with iOS 26, I am seeing several issues:
On iOS where when the bottom tab bar is used, when in a details page and navigating back, the tab bar becomes fully visible immediately instead of slowly animating in as it has been in the past. This is particular visible and annoying when using the "swipe to go back" gesture
On iPad, the situation is even worse:
On iPadOS 18, the tab bar appeared in the navigation controller's navigation bar - no matter if hidesBottomBarWhenPushed was set or not - fine. But now, with iPadOS 26, this top tab bar disappears when a child is pushed.
Not only that, it disappears abruptly, without animation, and the Liquid Glass effect on the UIBarButtonItems is broken as well. There is no transition whatsoever, buttons are simply replaced with the new UIBarButtonItems of the pushed view controller once it became fully visible.
It gets even worse when swipe-back navigating on iPadOS: As soon as the back transition starts, the tab bar becomes visible again (without animation), covering the title (view) of the UINavigationController. If the swipe-back transition is not completed the tab bar suddenly stays visible
When the swipe-back transition is interrupted close to the end of the transition and it goes back to the pushed view controller, the top UIBarButtonItems are showing a visual glitch where the content (text or icon) stays on the area where the tab bar is, while their container (the glass effect) are on the vertically aligned to the title view.
I am surprised that I have not found any similar reports of these problems, so I am wondering if I am doing anything wrong or using hidesBottomBarWhenPushed simply isn't recommended or supported any more.

Avoid using a segmented control in a toolbar. Toolbar items act on the current screen — they don’t let people switch contexts like segmented controls do.

I'm confused by this example. The screenshot seems to be showing a segmented control in a toolbar.
Is this saying that the Phone app's All/Missed toggle is different from a segmented control? Under iOS 26 it seems to take a different style compared to a regular segmented control. If so, which component is used to create this filter?

When you use .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "placeholder", in: placehoder)) for navigation animation, going back using the swipe gesture is still very buggy on IOS26. I know it has been mentioned in other places like here: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/796805?answerId=856846022#856846022 but nothing seems to have been done to fix this issue.

I wish there was a way to at least disable the swipe back gesture until this bug is fixed.
Can you confirm that if you launch an app in the U.S. (in the iOS store) that is you cannot select a specific state (i.e. Rhode Island, North Carolina etc.) to roll out your app? In other words when you launch your app in the U.S. it has to be for the entire country right?
Can someone please confirm that this is the case and has always been the case in any app store (i.e. Google Play and IOS)?

I’m developing an app that includes a navigation bar with a centered title and a single right bar button item. I’ve noticed that when both the navigation bar title and the right bar button item’s title are relatively long, the navigation bar title becomes hidden.
This issue only occurs on iOS 26. When running the same code on iOS 18, the layout behaves as expected, with both elements visible.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior on iOS 26? Is this a known layout change or a possible bug?
I’m developing a share extension for iOS 26 with Xcode 26. When the extension’s sheet appears, it always shows a full white background, even though iOS 26 introduces a new “Liquid Glass” effect for partial sheets.
Expected:
The sheet background should use the iOS 26 glassmorphism effect as seen in full apps.
Actual behavior:
Custom sheets in my app get the glass effect, but the native system sheet in the share extension always opens as plain white.
Steps to reproduce:
Create a share extension using UIKit
Present any UIViewController as the main view
Set modalPresentationStyle = .pageSheet (or leave as default)
Observe solid white background, not glassmorphism
