Device enrollment to ABM failing with timeout during setup
Hello, I’m facing an issue while trying to add iOS devices to Apple Business Manager (ABM) using Apple Configurator during enrollment. When going through the setup process, the device fails to complete enrollment and times out. I’ve tried it multiple times. The device does appear in ABM during the process and I am able to assign it to different MDM servers but since the setup times out and fails, the device is automatically released. I have tried this with multiple iOS devices and it times out on every single one of them. Steps attempted: Factory reset and re-enrollment of the device Ensured network connectivity is stable and tested on multiple Wi-Fi networks Tried the following process using Apple Configurator on Mac (wired): Created a Wi-Fi profile in Configurator Connected the iPhone via cable and used Prepare (manual configuration) Used the “MDM server” placeholder and trusted anchors (as recommended) Linked the device to the ABM organization Skipped Setup Assistant steps Attached the Wi-Fi profile, then prepared and wiped the device Verified that the device should appear in ABM Attempted to assign the device to my MDM in ABM Despite these checks, the enrollment process times out. I’m attaching a screenshot of the error for reference. Could someone advise what might be causing this timeout or how I can further troubleshoot this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Custom Background Image Fails to Display on UIToolbar
I am encountering a critical issue where a custom background image on a UIToolbar fails to display when the app is built with Xcode 26 and run on iOS 26 beta. The exact same implementation works perfectly on iOS 18 and earlier versions. We first attempted to use the legacy setBackgroundImage method, which fails to render the image on iOS 26: // 1. Get Navigation Bar and set basic properties UINavigationBar* navBar = self.navigationBar; navBar.hidden = NO; navBar.translucent = NO; // 2. Setup the UIToolbar instance UIToolbar *toolBar = [[UIToolbar alloc] initWithFrame:navBar.bounds]; toolBar.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth; // 3. Set the resizable image (This image does not appear on iOS 26) UIImage* imagePortrait = [UIImage imageNamed:@"nav_bg"]; UIEdgeInsets insets = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0.f, 6.f, 0.f, 6.f); [toolBar setBackgroundImage:[imagePortrait resizableImageWithCapInsets:insets] forToolbarPosition:UIToolbarPositionAny barMetrics:UIBarMetricsDefault]; We then migrated to the recommended modern UIToolbarAppearance to solve this, but the issue persists: // 1. Prepare Image UIImage* imagePortrait = [UIImage imageNamed:@"nav_bg"]; // Insets are applied via resizableImageWithCapInsets: (not shown in this snippet but implied) // 2. Configure UIToolbarAppearance UIToolbarAppearance *appearance = [[UIToolbarAppearance alloc] init]; appearance.backgroundImage = imagePortrait; // The image is correctly loaded (not nil) // 3. Apply the Appearance toolBar.standardAppearance = appearance; // We also applied to scrollEdgeAppearance and compactAppearance. Any information or recommended workarounds for displaying a custom background image on UIToolbar in the latest iOS 26 would be highly appreciated.

How to start live activity in terminated state?
Hi everyone and Apple support, I’ve built an app that continuously runs and receives temperature data from a sensor. When a threshold is reached, I use Live Activities with the push notification flow to display alerts on the Dynamic Island. The Live Activity and push notification flow work fine in foreground and background states. However, I’m trying to support push-triggered Live Activities when the app is in the terminated state. Since my app rarely terminates, I can’t confirm if the Live Activity push token is generated in that state. It seems like it isn’t, which blocks the Live Activity from starting via push. I tried with both pushtostarttoken and pushtostarttokenupdates. None of them worked. Has anyone dealt with this or found a workaround to ensure the push token is available even when the app is terminated?

Xcode 26 Build Failure: _sys_select and netinet_in Type Mismatches
I'm facing a build failure after migrating my project to Xcode 26. The issue appears to be related to the redefinition of some core system types. The compiler errors point to a failure to locate the original type definitions, suggesting they've been moved or renamed. Specifically, the build log contains these errors: ../arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface:653:11: Cannot find type '_sys_select' in scope ../arm64-apple-ios.private.swiftinterface:130:33: Cannot find type 'netinet_in' in scope I've observed that the types are being mapped as follows: netinet_in.in_addr_t -> _DarwinFoundation2.in_addr_t _sys_select.fd_set -> _DarwinFoundation2.fd_set I'm looking for guidance on the recommended way to resolve these API changes. How should I handle these type redefinitions in Xcode 26 to ensure my project builds correctly? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

SchemeBuildError: Failed to build the scheme
I have an iOS app, and I am trying to add a companion WatchOS app. My iOS app depends on 2 libraries: GoogleMobileAds FirebaseAnalyticsWithoutAdIdSupport When I add a new target for WatchOS, the preview build starts to fail. I am not adding any libraries to WatchOS. The Google Ads and Firebase Analytics libs are only under the iOS target. I am unable to run the preview, I get an error when trying to build the watch scheme. The preview does not work. The build just crashes. I've included the error log below. But, here are the steps I've tried so far: Delete folders inside Derived Data Run a clean build (Cmd + Option + Shift + K) Delete scheme and create a new one Reset Package Cache Restart Xcode Restart Macbook But, it just does not work. I do not understand why the watchOS target is erroring for "GoogleUserMessagingPlatform" and "GoogleMobileAdsTarget" when those packages are not linked/used for the watchOS. SchemeBuildError: Failed to build the scheme “timerWatch Watch App” While building for watchOS Simulator, no library for this platform was found in '/Users/k/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/timer-dhkdhvfcqtfgskfdxpmupujswtuh/SourcePackages/artifacts/swift-package-manager-google-user-messaging-platform/UserMessagingPlatform/UserMessagingPlatform.xcframework'. Branch Link Parameter Not Passed to App on iOS 26 when come from Safari
Dear Apple Support, We are encountering an issue with deep linking on iOS 26 when using Safari and App Store redirection. Below are the detailed steps to reproduce the problem: The app is not installed on the device. User clicks on a Branch link: For example:- https://qewed.app.link/99u88ef9f?uuid=88dbwh5ubd4b Safari opens and displays the fallback page. User taps on “Get the App”, which navigates to the App Store. User installs and opens the app. Expected Behavior:
The app should receive the Branch link parameters (in this case, uuid=88dbwh5ubd4b) upon first open. Actual Behavior:
The app opens successfully, but the uuid parameter is not passed to the app. This issue seems specific to the Safari → App Store → App flow on iOS 26, as other flows behave correctly. Could you please advise whether this is a known issue or if there are recommended adjustments on our side to ensure parameters are consistently delivered after App Store redirection? Note: We are using Branch SDK version 3.11.0 (Cocoapods dependency) Thank you for your assistance.

Latest iOS 26 Beta version seems to have bricked my phone
After my phone updated to the latest version of iOS 26 Beta overnight, I found out this morning that I cannot get past the setup process as it fails to recognise it's connected to the WiFi and is then unable to activate Apple Intelligence. I've tried bypassing this via iPhone mirroring on my MacBook, and while I can access the home screen that way, all native apps are inaccessible and 3rd party apps are only accessible via app switcher. The 3rd party apps (Slack, Instagram, etc) work fine, meaning the device has an internet connection. Unless someone has another suggestion, it looks like my only option is to remove the beta software by restoring my device - although I'm going to wait until iOS 26 is fully released later today (how convenient) as I don't want to use an iOS 18 backup and lose a bunch of stuff.

Best Way to Help Users Diagnose iOS App Crashes with No UI Feedback
Hi all, We're working on an iOS application and would like to improve our ability to diagnose failures - especially in scenarios where the app crashes before it can present any UI to the user. A few specific questions: In case of an exception or crash, is there a way to log the issue so the user (or our support team) can understand the cause of the failure? If the app crashes abruptly (e.g., due to a runtime exception or crash during launch), is there a recommended way to persist error information before the process terminates? Are there Apple-supported mechanisms (like crash reporting tools or APIs) we can integrate that would help us capture such issues? What’s the best practice for enabling support teams to assist users based on crash reports - especially for crashes that happen before any user interaction? Our goal is to make sure users aren't left in the dark if the app fails to start, and to allow us to deliver timely updates or support based on the cause of the crash. Thanks in advance for your guidance!

View lifecycle in Tabview
In TabView, when I open a view in a Tab, and I switch to another Tab, but the View lifecycle of the view in the old Tab is still not over, and the threads of some functions are still in the background. I want to completely end the View lifecycle of the View in the previously opened tab when switching Tab. How can I do it? Thank you!

iOS 26 Public Beta Duplicate Contacts
I'm not sure at which beta it happened, but somewhere during the iOS 26 Public Beta releases, my iCloud Contacts have duplicated close to 100 times each. When I scroll to the bottom of the list to try and manage duplicates, it indicates I only have 2 duplicates. I should be sitting around 350 contacts and instead, I now have over 10k. Anyone else with this issue? I have filed Feedback in the app. I'm not certain if it was related to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 as I have both, but noticed it first on my iPhone. I confirmed that the issue has affected my iCloud Contacts and therefore all of my Apple devices included older iOS and MacOS versions. Short of manually deleting all the duplicates, I'm at a loss as to how I can correct his.

Sharing file creates new UIScene each time, how to prevent this
I have an App which supports multiple windows on the iPad. The App can receive URLs from other Apps (via application.openURL()) and also files via "share sheet" (via UIActivityViewController). When receiving a URL from another App the delegate method scene(_ scene: UIScene, openURLContexts URLContexts: Set) will be called on an existing UIScene, however when a file is received through the share sheet from another App, a new UIScene is created and therefore also a new window (eg the delegates application(_ application: UIApplication, configurationForConnecting connectingSceneSession: UISceneSession, options: UIScene.ConnectionOptions) and scene(_ scene: UIScene, willConnectTo session: UISceneSession, options connectionOptions: UIScene.ConnectionOptions) are called). In both cases I do get the URL and file just fine, however I do not want to get new UIScenes and windows created when receiving a file via share sheet. How can I prevent to get a new UIScene or window? The received files should be used in the existing windows and should not create new ones.

Inconsistent subviews redrawing in LazyVStack
Hello Apple forum ! I spotted a weird behaviour with LazyVStack in a ScrollView. I understand that it loads its views only once upon appearance unlinke VStack that loads everything in one shot. What I noticed also, it seems to reload its views sometimes when scrolling back up to earlier loaded views. The thing is, it isn't always the case. struct LazyVStackTest: View { var body: some View { ScrollView { LazyVStack { ForEach(0..<1000, id: \.self) { _ in // if true { MyText() // } } } } } struct MyText: View { var body: some View { let _ = Self._printChanges() HStack { Text("hello") } } } } If we consider the code above on XCode 26 beta 7 on an iOS 26 or iOS 18.2 simulator. Scroll to the bottom : you'll see one "LazyVStackTest.MyText: @self changed" for each row. Then scroll back up to the top, we'll see again the same message printed multiple times. --> So I gather from this that LazyVStack not only loads lazily but also removes old rows from memory & recreates them upon reappearance. What I don't get however is that if you uncomment the "if true" statement, you won't see the reloading happening. And I have absolutely no clue as to why 😅 If someone could help shed some light on this weird behaviour, it would be greatly appreciated ^^ PS : the issue is also present with XCode 16.2 but at a deeper lever (ex: if we embed another custom View "MyText2" inside "MyText", the reloading is in "MyText2" & not "MyText")

UIBarButtonItem Doesn't Reset the Badge
Hello, I hope you're all doing well! I'm currently working on integrating new iOS 26 features into my app, and so far, the process has been really exciting. However, I've encountered an issue when updating the badge of a UIBarButtonItem, and I’m hoping to get some insights or suggestions. The app has two UIViewController instances in the navigation stack, each containing a UIBarButtonItem. On the first controller, the badge is set to 1, and on the second, the badge is set to 2. In the second controller, there is a "Reset" button that sets the badge of the second controller to nil. However, when I tap the "Reset" button, instead of setting the badge to nil, it sets the value to 1. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this problem. Maybe I am using the badge API incorrectly. Thank you! class ViewController: UIViewController { var cartButtonItem: UIBarButtonItem! override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() configureNavigationItem() } func configureNavigationItem() { cartButtonItem = UIBarButtonItem(image: UIImage(resource: .cartNavBar), style: .plain, target: self, action: #selector(showCartTab)) cartButtonItem.tintColor = UIColor.systemBlue cartButtonItem.badge = .count(1) navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = cartButtonItem } @objc func showCartTab() { // Add second view controller in navigation stack performSegue(withIdentifier: "Cart", sender: nil) } } class CartViewController: UIViewController { var cartButtonItem: UIBarButtonItem! override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() configureNavigationItem() } func configureNavigationItem() { cartButtonItem = UIBarButtonItem(image: UIImage(resource: .cartNavBar), style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil) cartButtonItem.tintColor = UIColor.systemBlue cartButtonItem.badge = .count(2) navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = cartButtonItem } func updateBadge() { cartButtonItem.badge = nil } @IBAction func resetButtonPressed(_ sender: Any) { updateBadge() } }

WKWebview displays blank page intermittently on iOS and macOS
Our app connects to the headend to get a IDP login URL for each connection session, for example: “https://myvpn.ocwa.com/+CSCOE+/saml/sp/login?ctx=3627097090&acsamlcap=v2” and then open embedded webview to load the page. (Note: the value of ctx is session token which changes every time). Quite often the webview shows blank white screen. After user cancel the connection and re-connect, the 2nd time webview loads the content successfully. The working case logs shows: didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge is called decidePolicyForNavigationAction is called twice didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge is called decidePolicyForNavigationResponse is called didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge is called But the failure case shows: Filed to terminate process: Error Domain=com.apple.extensionKit.errorDomain Code=18 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x11461c240 {Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=3 "No such process found" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=No such process found}}} didReceiveAuthenticationChallenge is called decidePolicyForNavigationAction is called decidePolicyForNavigationResponse is called If we stop calling evaluateJavaScript code to get userAgent, the blank page happens less frequently. Below is the code we put in makeUIView(): func makeUIView(context: Context) -> WKWebView { if let url = URL(string: self.myUrl) { let request = URLRequest(url: url) webview.evaluateJavaScript("navigator.userAgent") { result, error in if let error = error { NSLog("evaluateJavaScript Error: \(error)") } else { let agent = result as! String + " " + self.myUserAgent webview.customUserAgent = agent webview.load(request) } } } return self.webview } Found some posts saying call evaluateJavaScript only after WKWebView has finished loading its content. However, it will block us to send the userAgent info via HTTP request. And I don’t think it is the root cause since the problem still occurs with less frequency. There is no problem to load same web page on Windows desktop and Android devices. The problem only occurs on iOS and macOS which both use WKWebview APIs. Is there a bug in WKWebview? Thanks, Ying

Search Bar Should Be at the Top (Consistency Matters)
In iOS 18 betas, the App Store search bar has been moved to the bottom of the screen. This breaks years of usability and is inconsistent with Apple’s own apps—Calendar, Reminders, Maps, Safari, Files, Wallet, and Shortcuts—all of which keep search at the top. I (and many others) hold the phone in one hand and tap with the other. Top placement is faster, more natural, and aligns with established Apple design. The “thumb reach” argument does not fit real-world usage for a large portion of users. What I want is consistency across all Apple apps: put the search bar at the top everywhere. Apple already made this mistake with Safari’s bottom address bar in iOS 15 and had to add a toggle after backlash. Please don’t repeat history. Feedback ID: FB19598638 If you agree, please follow your own feedback and reference this thread. The more reports Apple sees, the more likely this gets fixed.

CallKit: Call Blocking for 3rd party apps question
Hi Apple Dev community, I want to ask if CallKit and CXCallDirectoryProvider (with addBlockingEntryWithNextSequentialPhoneNumber) doesn't work for 3rd party Phone apps. Is this a known issue that CallKit doesn't work on 3rd party iOS Phone apps (like WhatsApp, etc)? Thank you.

The received files should be used in the existing windows and should not create new ones.

iOS Simulator (18.4) crashes when user clicks allow for Speech Recognition permission popup
When a new application runs on iOS 18.4 simulator and tries to access the Speech Framework, prompting a request for authorisation to use Speech Recognition, the application will crash if the user clicks allow. Check recognizer availability (might change at runtime) if !recognizer.isAvailable { logger.error("Speech recognizer is not available for the current locale.") reportError(.configurationError(description: "Speech recognizer not available."), context: "checkAvailabilityAndPermissions") self.isAvailable = false return } logger.trace("Speech recognizer exists and is available.") // 3.

Hello, I hope you're all doing well! I'm currently working on integrating new iOS 26 features into my app, and so far, the process has been really exciting. However, I've encountered an issue when updating the badge of a UIBarButtonItem, and I’m hoping to get some insights or suggestions. The app has two UIViewController instances in the navigation stack, each containing a UIBarButtonItem. On the first controller, the badge is set to 1, and on the second, the badge is set to 2. In the second controller, there is a "Reset" button that sets the badge of the second controller to nil. However, when I tap the "Reset" button, instead of setting the badge to nil, it sets the value to 1. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this problem. Maybe I am using the badge API incorrectly. Thank you! class ViewController: UIViewController { var cartButtonItem: UIBarButtonItem! override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() configureNavigationItem() } func configureNavigationItem() { cartButtonItem = UIBarButtonItem(image: UIImage(resource: .cartNavBar), style: .plain, target: self, action: #selector(showCartTab)) cartButtonItem.tintColor = UIColor.systemBlue cartButtonItem.badge = .count(1) navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = cartButtonItem } @objc func showCartTab() { // Add second view controller in navigation stack performSegue(withIdentifier: "Cart", sender: nil) } } class CartViewController: UIViewController { var cartButtonItem: UIBarButtonItem! override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() configureNavigationItem() } func configureNavigationItem() { cartButtonItem = UIBarButtonItem(image: UIImage(resource: .cartNavBar), style: .plain, target: nil, action: nil) cartButtonItem.tintColor = UIColor.systemBlue cartButtonItem.badge = .count(2) navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = cartButtonItem } func updateBadge() { cartButtonItem.badge = nil } @IBAction func resetButtonPressed(_ sender: Any) { updateBadge() } }
