Free trial for one-time purchase: Is the $0 IAP workaround still recommended in 2026?
[Repost: Somehow my original thread from Jan was deleted. I called dev support and they said to post again, if there's a better channel to get answer for this, please let me know.] I’m an indie dev with a paid, one-time-purchase app (Dash Calc, $4 USD), and sales have been rough. In a crowded category, an upfront-paid app feels like a tough sell without a way to try it first. I’d like to offer a simple 7-day free trial followed by a single lifetime purchase, but App Store Connect still doesn’t officially support trials for paid apps. In Jan 2023, an App Store Commerce Engineer recommended the $0 non-consumable IAP + paid non-consumable IAP workaround: https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/722874 I haven’t implemented it yet, but the subsequent discussion suggests the approach is overly complex. Handling refunds, reinstalls, activation timing, and purchase history requires non-obvious logic, and some developers report customer confusion and drop-off when presented with a $0 trial IAP. Has anything improved since 2023? Any new StoreKit APIs or App Store Connect changes that make this simpler or less error-prone? Is the $0 non-consumable IAP still the recommended approach in 2026? Any updated policy guidance for time-limited access on one-time purchases? I’m happy to use the workaround if it’s still the official path—I just want to confirm there isn’t a better option now.

App Stuck in “Waiting for Review” Since March 4 – Subscription & Expense Manager (6759901202)
Hi Apple, I hope you are doing well. I am posting here regarding my app, Subscription & Expense Manager (App ID: 6759901202), which has been stuck in the “Waiting for Review” state since March 4, 2026 at 2:45 PM. It has now been an extremely long time without any update, review progress, or communication from the App Review team, and I am becoming increasingly concerned about this unusual delay. I completely understand that review times may vary depending on workload and internal processes, but this duration seems far beyond normal review timelines. Our team has invested substantial time, effort, and resources into developing this application, and the continued delay is significantly affecting our launch plans and business timeline. We have carefully followed all App Store Review Guidelines and ensured that every required detail, asset, permission, and compliance item was properly submitted. At the moment: There are no rejection messages No metadata issues are shown No additional information requests are pending The app simply remains stuck in “Waiting for Review” We have also already contacted Apple regarding this matter but unfortunately have not yet received a response. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone from Apple or the developer community could guide me on: Whether this kind of delay is currently common If there is any way to escalate the issue Whether there may be an unseen issue causing the review to not start We are fully prepared to provide any additional information or make immediate changes if required from our side. This app is very important to us, and we are genuinely worried because of the extended delay after putting so much hard work into the project. Any help, advice, or update would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. HR Apps

App Stuck in “Waiting for Review” for 11+ Days – ShopBack: Cashback & Rewards(1086505626)
Dear App Review Team, We are ShopBack mobile team. We submitted v6.12.0 on May 21 and it's been in "Waiting for Review" fo 4+ days. This is our second consecutive blocked release as v6.11.0 was rejected May 14 and never completed review, so our iOS users haven't received an update in 11 days. Here's what's sitting in this v6.12.0 build that's directly hurting users right now: Users who've had cashback claims rejected have no idea why. This release finally shows them the rejection reason. It's a financial app and our users deserve to know why their money wasn't credited. Users are hitting an intermittent crash during login due to a main-thread issue. This build fixes it. Users across 8 markets can't withdraw their cashback to airline miles. The feature is built and ready, just blocked. We've resolved all issues from the v6.11.0 rejection and are confident this submission is fully compliant. We're available to address any concerns immediately. Thank you for your time. Can't fetch products from App Store connect
I had everything working with Revenue Cat. Then my app got rejected for not loading subscriptions, which was odd because a previous built was rejected for wording on that same paywall. I checked, and realised I suddenly can't fetch products in testFlight either. I can only see products in Xcode using the store kit configuration file. I've found many issues like this online and everybody point to the same solutions (that seem to work for most), but here's what I tried so far: Checked that all my agreements in App Store Connect are active Checked that ids match between Xcode / revenue cat / App Store connect Store kit config file is syncing with App Store Connect correctly I removed revenue cat and used the store kit api directly to fetch products. The array of products is empty in all environments that don't have access to store kit config file. Checked status of all subscriptions (all waiting for review -- as they were when the paywall worked) Nothing seems to work... Any suggestions? Many thanks

Face ID not working in App Store after upgrade from beta iOS 15
I was using the iOS 15 beta on my iPhone 12 Pro Max, long story short after upgrading to the full release of iOS 15, my iPhone will not prompt to use faceid for App Store or iTunes Store purchases. I’ve tried signing in and out of iCloud, disabling and renabling Face ID but no luck. I see others have had this issue since the general release of iOS 15 but no comment has been made by apple support. Any advice on a solution?

I want to bang my head into a brick wall
I had the issue pop up again. To refresh what previously happened, when I would submit a new build to TestFlight, it wouldn’t let me download it. That was a problem for a couple weeks. Then after the problem resolved I was able to download the “new build” but when I went into the app, it was clearly an old one. This issue got resolved a couple weeks ago, now it’s back. When I went to test out the new build on a couple of my apps, I was able to download it, but when I looked through the app, it was an old one. Please help me resolve this fast. Last time I waited for over a month

App stuck in “Waiting for Review” for almost two weeks — Apple ID 6761327996
My app ActLike AI – Face Swap Video (Apple ID: 6761327996, Bundle ID: com.LCDMediaGames.ActLike-AI) has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for almost two weeks. Normally, my app submissions move from “Waiting for Review” to “In Review” within 2–3 days. However, this submission has not started review yet. I have already tried the following: Contacted Apple Developer Support Called support Submitted an expedited review request Removed and resubmitted the build Unfortunately, the app is still stuck in “Waiting for Review”. This delay is affecting my release schedule and causing unnecessary backend/infrastructure costs because the app uses AI video generation services. Could someone from Apple please check whether this submission is blocked, delayed, or requires any action from my side? Any help would be appreciated.

Cannot change primary language: 'Screenshots required for each version' error despite screenshots being uploaded
I am trying to change the primary language of my app from Korean to English (US) in App Store Connect, but I keep receiving the following error: "The primary locale cannot be saved. You must first provide all required screenshots in that language for each version." According to Apple's documentation on localizing app information, it states that a language must be added to a previous version before the primary language can be changed. My current pending version is 4.0.1. I assumed this meant adding English screenshots to version 4.0.0 first. However, the same error appears when attempting to set English as the primary language in 4.0.0 as well. English (US) screenshots have already been uploaded for both version 4.0.0 and 4.0.1, yet the error continues to appear. Could someone help clarify what this means? Is there an additional step that may be missing? Thank you.

App stuck in “Processing for Distribution” — no “+” button, cannot submit new version or cancel
My app has been stuck in “Processing for Distribution” for several days. The version was approved, but it never fully completed the distribution process. In App Store Connect, I cannot create a new version because the “+” button is missing. I also cannot submit a new build, update metadata, or cancel the current process. The release pipeline is completely blocked on my side. I contacted Apple Developer Support, and the issue has been escalated to the engineering team under an internal engineering ticket. However, I am still waiting and there is no action available to me in App Store Connect. Has anyone experienced this exact issue before? If so, how long did it take Apple engineering to reset or unblock the app version state?

Update stuck in 'In Review' for 80 days — Developer Support says they can't reach App Review
Hello, I'm posting again — and unfortunately, I already know how this thread is going to go. My app (ID: 6756186616) has now been stuck in "In Review" for 80 days. To save everyone time, here is the reply I expect to receive within a day or two, copy-pasted from the response on my last thread: "Thank you for your post. We're investigating and The App Review team will contact you in App Store Connect to provide further assistance. If you continue to experience issues during review, please contact us." Nothing actually happened after that reply last time. No follow-up in App Store Connect. No further communication. Just silence. When I escalated to Developer Support (case #20000111565861), I was told explicitly that Developer Support has no way to reach the App Review team and no authority to intervene on submissions stuck in review. So Developer Support points back to App Review, and the standard forum reply points back to "contact us" — which loops back to Developer Support. This is a closed loop that doesn't actually resolve anything for an independent developer. Concrete questions: Is there any real escalation path that doesn't end in an automated reply? Why has a submission been "In Review" for 80 days with zero communication? What should a solo developer do when both Developer Support and the forum response are dead ends? I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for the review to actually move — in either direction. A rejection with feedback would be infinitely more useful than 80 days of silence. Thank you.

Apps Stuck in "Waiting for Review" for More Than 1 Months , No Response from Expedited Request or Support
Dear App Review Team, We would like to kindly follow up regarding our app submission, which has been in “Waiting for Review” status since Apr 10, 2026, with no progress update to date. We have also submitted 3 expedited review requests, plus 2 support requests email but unfortunately have not received any response yet. This prolonged delay is now significantly impacting our project timeline and scheduled deployment commitments. We understand review times can vary, but it has now been over a month without movement or communication. App ID: 6752937247

App still stuck in “Waiting for Review” for ~20 days despite accepted expedited review request
Hello, Our iOS app “DOITDO” has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” since April 29, 2026, and it has not entered the “In Review” stage yet. This is the first App Store review submission for this app. Timeline: April 29, 2026: Submitted version 1.0.0 for App Review May 6, 2026: Submitted an expedited review request because the app had already been waiting for 7 days May 15, 2026: Apple Developer Support confirmed that the expedited review request was accepted and said the review should begin shortly May 19, 2026 KST / May 18, 2026 Pacific Time: The app is still in “Waiting for Review” with no status change App details: App Name: DOITDO Platform: iOS Version/Build: 1.0.0 Bundle ID: com.d107.doitdo Original Submission Date: April 29, 2026 Current Status: Waiting for Review We have checked the required review information, including the demo account, backend availability, and review notes. We do not see any pending action, rejection, metadata rejection, or request for additional information. At this point, the delay appears to be far outside a reasonable review timeframe, especially because the expedited review request was already accepted several days ago. The app has now been waiting for approximately 20 days since the original submission without entering review. We understand that expedited reviews cannot be guaranteed. However, we are not submitting a new expedited review request. We are asking whether Apple can investigate why this already-accepted expedited review has not moved forward. Could someone from Apple please check whether there is any blocker, queue issue, compliance issue, account issue, or missing information preventing the review from starting? If there is no blocking issue on our side, we would greatly appreciate it if this could be escalated to the appropriate App Review team so the review can begin as soon as possible. Thank you.

Delete the published App Clip link
My app has been released, and there is an "App Clip" link available in the advanced experience. Could someone please tell me if there is a way for me to modify or delete this link? (I'm not looking to deactivate the link; I just want to remove it so that other apps can use it.) If I remove the already published APP, can I also delete this link?

EVID(External Version ID)
Our organization is attempting to retrieve the External Version Identifier (EVID) history for all published versions. This data is required so that we can pass the exact externalVersionIdentifier integer to our deployment framework to pin specific app versions on our managed devices. We currently have an active App Store Connect account, but our attempts to fetch this data via standard publishing APIs return a 401 Unauthorized error. To help us resolve this technical blocker, please provide explicit engineering guidance on the following four points: API Endpoint Architecture: Is the enterprise Apps and Books for Organizations API (apple.com) the only platform that exposes the externalVersionId history for all versions? If so, what is the exact endpoint path we must call to return the full version-based EVID array? Account Requirements: Can these version-specific EVIDs be retrieved using our existing App Store Connect developer credentials, or is an Apple Business Manager (ABM) account strictly mandatory to bypass the 401 gate? ABM Portal Setup for EVIDs Only: If an ABM account is mandatory, what are the minimum technical steps required inside the ABM dashboard to fetch only the EVID data? Specifically, do we need to "purchase" a volume license for the target app to make its version history accessible via the API? Authentication Parameters: What is the correct token structure for this endpoint? Do we need to pass a specific location server token (sToken / itvt cookie) generated inside ABM alongside our signed developer JWT header? Thank you for your time and technical guidance. We look forward to your engineering team's response.

This device is already associated with other accounts” error on newly activated Apple Developer account
Hello Developers, I am facing an issue while trying to sign in to a newly created Apple Developer account on my Mac/Xcode. Error message: “This device is already associated with other accounts in the Apple Developer Program or the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. Please use a different device.” Details: The Apple ID works correctly in browser login Apple Developer membership/payment is completed The account is accessible on the Apple website The issue only appears while signing in on the Mac/Xcode I already contacted Apple Support and received a case ID, but no response yet after 24+ hours Things already tried: Signed out/in from Apple ID Restarted Mac Tried different network Cleared related account settings Has anyone faced this issue before? Is this a temporary device association/security restriction from Apple’s side, or does it require manual reset by Apple Support? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

App invisible in BOTH App Store search AND Apple Search Ads — Apple Support refuses to disclose violation flag (38 days)
Posting to document a case that matches a pattern of unresolved reports on this forum (e.g. thread #815203 "Brutal Time"), with the addition of new evidence: my app is missing from both the App Store search index and the Apple Search Ads campaign-creation index. Setup App: ZenTerm (App ID 6760935103, Bundle ID com.zenterm.mobile) Developer: Individual (Japan) Released: 2026-03-31 (live for 45 days) Status: Ready for Sale, 1.3.2 live (released 2026-05-06) App name: pure ASCII, coined word, no other apps share the name Symptoms Channel Result App Store app, search "zenterm" (exact name) Zero results, 38 days running iTunes Search API (https://itunes.apple.com/search?term=zenterm&country=jp) Returns my app correctly Direct App Store URL Opens product page normally Apple Search Ads — search by app name Zero candidates Apple Search Ads — paste canonical App Store URL Zero candidates The absence from both the App Store search index and the Apple Search Ads selection index is the key new finding. Since these run on separate infrastructure, the issue cannot be attributed to ranking, keyword suppression for a single field, or category-level competition — it indicates the app is missing from a more fundamental application-index layer. Apple's own documentation implies a silent violation flag Apple Search Ads help, "If your app does not appear as a promotion option," lists 6 possible causes. After ruling out 5 of them as not applicable, only one remains: "App cannot be promoted on Apple Ads — advertising policy violation, App Store guideline violation, or placement unavailability." So per Apple's own published documentation, a policy-violation flag is silently active on this app. Yet: No notification has ever been delivered to the developer about which guideline or policy is flagged No App Review communication in App Store Connect references this Apple Support refuses to disclose anything (see below) Apple Support timeline Date Action Outcome 2026-04-11 1st written inquiry via developer.apple.com/contact Templated reply 4 days later: "App Store charts and search results change regularly and we don't guarantee app placement." Misses the point — the issue isn't ranking, it's zero results for an exact-name match on a coined word. 2026-04-14 2nd written inquiry, explicitly framing this as an indexing issue not a ranking issue Ignored for 24 days 2026-05-08 Phone call to Apple Support "We cannot provide any answer regarding this case." When asked if there's any path forward, agent confirmed: "We cannot answer." 2026-05-08 3rd written inquiry (with Apple Search Ads evidence and cross-reference to Apple's own help documentation indicating a silent policy-violation flag) Ignored for 7 days as of today, despite Apple's stated SLA of "within 2 business days" on the contact form Self-remediation already attempted Per public guidance that trademark keywords are the most common silent-suppression trigger, I proactively released version 1.3.2 on 2026-05-06 with all third-party trademarks removed from the keywords field (Claude, Codex, Copilot, Mac mini, Raspberry Pi → replaced with generic alternatives). Description and other surfaces were also reviewed for trademark density. The Apple Search Ads diagnostic above was performed after this remediation. The app is still missing. What I'm looking for from this forum Anyone who has had this resolved: by what mechanism? (DTS Incident, Organization-account migration, escalation contact, reindex after specific change, etc.) Anyone willing to corroborate the same symptoms: especially the Apple Search Ads selection-index absence, which seems to be the strongest evidence that this is a backend infrastructure problem rather than a metadata problem Apple staff: please escalate to the App Store search infrastructure team and/or the Apple Search Ads team to reconcile the indexes for this Bundle ID, or at minimum disclose the specific policy violation flag you have on this app so the developer can address it Related thread Thread #815203 ("Brutal Time - App not appearing in App Store search") documents an identical symptom set, unresolved for 6+ weeks despite multiple inquiries and engineering-callback promises. I've added a follow-up reply there as well. The pattern is consistent enough that this should be treated as a systemic issue, not isolated cases.

Apps Stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 3 Months , No Response from Appeal or Support
Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to see if anyone has experienced a similar situation or can offer any guidance. I have several apps that have been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for an unusually extended period, and one additional case where I am awaiting a response after a rejection. Here is a brief timeline: • One app was originally submitted on February 5, 2026. After receiving no response, it was resubmitted on March 26, 2026, and is still showing "Waiting for Review." • Another app was resubmitted on February 10, 2026, after addressing all feedback from a prior rejection. It has had no status change since. • A third app was resubmitted on February 5, 2026. It was rejected, and I replied to the rejection with the required information, but I have not received any response since. Steps I have already taken: • Submitted an appeal – no response received • Contacted App Review support – no response received This prolonged delay across multiple apps is seriously affecting my business and I am running out of options. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation recently? Is there any other official channel or escalation path available to get a status update? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you.
