Problem Generating Signature for Subscription Offers – Error Code 18
I'm successfully using Apple subscriptions in my app, but I'm encountering SKErrorCodeDomain error 18 when trying to apply a subscription offer. I want apply offer code first time only for subscription. Below are details of what i set in appstore and what i have tested. Proper way to set up Sandbox iOS for Purchase Testing
I cannot explain how frustrating this is. Not that I want to compare to Android, but in 3 years of QA Testing my app, Android works like a dream, while iOS fights with me EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY. Hopefully someone here can tell me what I am missing/doing wrong/which god I must appease to get this to work. I have 3 REAL iPhones of varying iOS versions and ages. But they are all proper actual iPhones. We use google accounts at this company, so my primary email is a gmail one. I have created MANY sandbox accounts inside App Store Connect. Currently I have 2, and 2 of my devices (both 14's one of which is a Pro) have my Primary account as the main account for the device. But they both also have a Sandbox account which is simply my main email with a +sandbox in it to make it a new unique email. Here is the problem, nothing works as expected ever. I can install my Staging and Production apps from TestFlight, then I can make a subscription purchase as a customer would and I SHOULD see that subscription in my Sandbox right? That's the point of a Sandbox and TestFlight is it not? But in ALL cases whenever I try to view my 'Sandbox Subscriptions' it tells me I don't have any. Now, sometimes, very occasionally, I get a specific error message inside my app when attempting to make a purchase, this one states something like 'You already have a subscription, please restore it instead...' which makes no sense. Since it clearly states that I have none. But this message has a 'Manage' button to manage my subscriptions, tapping it lads me to a windows which amazing DOES have a subscription in it. But attempting to 'Cancel' it does nothing, just refreshes the screen to be the same. Now I think that this subscription is actually attached to the primary account on the device and NOT the sandbox account. So when this happens I cannot subscribe, I cannot restore, and I cannot manually alter the subscription within iOS. So I am stuck at this point. What am I doing wrong, am I setting this all up in the wrong order? Do I need to install some kind of profile or security cert, do I need to give a pint of blood to Imhotep? What am I missing. I even once sat on the phone for 90 minutes with an Apple Support Rep who took me through it step by step, same result. Also I just noticed that inside 'App Store Connect' when you look at the list of 'Sandbox' accounts there is a column for 'Last Purchase' which is entirely blank, apparently after a year of use I have NEVER purchased on the Sandbox, which is another reason I think my subs are going to the main email, not the sandbox one. I tried using the sandbox email as the main account for the whole device, I can't recall the result but it was worse and didn't work at all. All I really want to know is how to fully setup a real actual iPhone for TestFlight and Sandbox testing of a app. WHat order do I create accounts, validate emails, attach to devices, login with etc etc etc. Step by step, nothing no matter how mundane missed out. A true idiots guide to making this work for me. Testing this on Android always takes 5 mins. iPhone, I'm lucky if I am done in half a day. Please help and thanks for reading!

Python App. Sandbox testing IAP Auto Renewal Subscription
I have created a Python app and built it with pyinstaller and codesigned everything. Now I want to Sandbox test it. In my appstore connect account i have created a subscriptions id. I read that if I am logged out from the AppStore and have codesigned my .app file with a Developer Certificate i should be able to run the app on my local mac and when i click on the "Buy" button it should connect to my app store connect setup. I have implemented StoreKit in my app and use a storekit_bridge to combine the .swift code with my python app. However when i run the app. I get this: "25-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - WARNING - StoreKit: fetchProducts returned empty result 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - INFO - StoreKit fetch_products returned: {"products": []} 2025-07-24 21:01:12,557 - FEC - ERROR - StoreKit: Failed to parse product info: No products returned from JSON" And no login screen appears where I should be able to enter my Sandbox email adress and password. Anyone here who has experience with a Python app combined with In App Purchases? Hope someone can help me out with this.

Auto-Renewal Subscription Rejection for Non-Dynamic Content
A few weeks ago, I explored the possibility of installing auto-renewal subscription plans on an iOS app. Initially, I thought subscription plans are allowed for news and magazine apps. Then I saw this Apple website, which actually encourages us to provide 'free, limited access to app content.' So I took their advice and submitted an iOS app that has no dynamic content to App Store. I submitted another. Two apps have been approved. And I have got the third one put on hold several days ago. The reviewer has asked me an uncomfortable line of questions repeatedly like What are changes? How often? that I have never received in my 13 or 14 year history. Then he or she rejected it two days ago. And I got a 4th one approved at the same time. So three are admitted in with one rejected. Does an app have to have dynamic content to use auto-renewal subscription plans? I don't find any statement in Apple Review Guidelines that prohibits me from installing auto-renewal subscription plans on non-dynamic content app. There are other big-time apps like Microsoft 365 and Adobe Photoshop that are available with subscription plans. I am very perplexed.

App removed from Top Charts after DPLA notice, What now?
I got a “DPLA violation” email. About an hour later my app disappeared from Top Charts in multiple countries. The app is still live, searchable, and on the product page it still says “Chart No.2 – Education.” I only posted it on Reddit and made lifetime free to get feedback from the community. Here's the email: "Notification of Apple Developer Program License Agreement (“DPLA”) violation: Hello xx, We're writing to inform you that your company isn't in compliance with the Apple Developer Program License Agreement (DPLA). Section 11.2 (Termination) states: (g) if You engage, or encourage others to engage, in any misleading, fraudulent, improper, unlawful or dishonest act relating to this Agreement, including, but not limited to, misrepresenting the nature of Your Application (e.g., hiding or trying to hide functionality from Apple’s review, falsifying consumer reviews for Your Application, engaging in payment fraud, etc.). Be aware that manipulating App Store chart rankings, user reviews or search index may result in the loss of your developer program membership." The weird part: • The product page still shows ranks like “Chart No.2 – Education” (Hong Kong, and similar positions in a few other countries). • Search still finds the app normally. • But in the actual Top Charts lists the app is gone. Territories affected (so far): Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Portugal and a few more. I did not buy installs, did not pay for reviews, did not gate features behind ratings. After the email I double checked and removed any copy that could be read as an incentive for reviews, just in case. I have already emailed Support (Search & Discoverability and App Review). I am waiting, but thought I should ask here too. My questions 1. Has anyone else seen their app silently removed from charts right after a DPLA warning? 2. Did it come back on its own? How long did it take? 3. Is there anything specific I should fix besides waiting and cleaning wording? 4. Is there an official appeal path for chart suppression, not full removal? In-App Purchases vs Subscriptions
The question is related to getting rejected by Apple when the app does only have Subscriptions but no In-App Purchases. My understanding is that an in-app purchase is consumable or non-consumable as that's how the UI on appstoreconnect shows it. My app has 3 tier subscription, paid monthly, and that's it. But "We are unable to complete the review of the app because one or more of the in-app purchase products have not been submitted for review." Which I have none?

SKErrorDomain Code 2 Problem
We are facing a serious issues with in app purchases in our app. We offer 3 IAP: auto-renewable subscription 1W, auto-renewable subscription 1Y, non-consumable one-time purchase (LifeTime access) In our case 90-95% of transactions fail and we mostly get SKError code=2 . Sometime purchase fails several times for the same user so it’s very hard to believe that user intentionally cancels transaction for the same product 4 or even 5 times in a row. It happens regardless iOS version, device model, our app version. We've checked multiple threads with the same issue but coudn't find any solution. We do not offer any promotions, product identifiers are valid... Some users are able to make a purchases without any issues.

Requesting Refund for Unintended Apple Developer Program Renewal
Hi everyone, I just noticed that my subscription to the Apple Developer Program was automatically renewed, but we’re currently not using it and had no plans to continue the subscription. I didn’t intend to renew and would like to request a full refund for the recent charge. I’ve submitted a message through the official support channel, but I’m posting here as well in case anyone has experienced something similar or can guide me on how long the refund process usually takes. Would really appreciate any advice or insights from the community or Apple staff. Thanks in advance!

Apple Subscriptions - Coupons/Offer codes
We are trying to develop a coupon/offer code module where our app users can avail a free trail offer for 2 months period after applying the code. We already had a subscription module with monthly & yearly subscriptions with 7 day free trial period. Now, we want to implement a offer/coupon module, where, a user can either select monthly or yearly subscription, and upon entering the offer/coupon code, they will get 2 months free trial (or) a discount on the chosen subscription. (this will overwrite the existing 7 day free trial). We are confused on choosing the type of “offer/coupon” from AppStore connect. In App Store connect, we have introductory offers, promotional offer & Offer codes. Based on our requirements, we have done research and found that we cannot implement the offer code & promotional codes in the develop environment as there is no possibility to test in Sandbox environment. We observed that we need to push the app to App store and upon approval, we need to implement “offer/coupon” module. Can some one please suggest or guide us on choosing the best solution for our requirement? Thanks in advance.

"In-App Purchases are not allowed" Error Persists After All Troubleshooting Steps
Hello, I am consistently receiving the error message "In-app purchases are not allowed on this device" whenever I try to make an in-app purchase on my iOS device. Despite following all the recommended solutions I could find online, the issue remains unresolved. Here is a list of the steps I have already taken: Checked Screen Time Settings: I navigated to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases. I have confirmed that "In-App Purchases" is set to "Allow." I have also tried toggling this setting off and on again. Signed Out & In of Apple ID: I signed out of my Apple ID via Settings > [Your Name] > Media & Purchases, restarted the device, and then signed back in. Restarted the Device: I have force-restarted my device multiple times. Updated iOS: I have ensured my device is running the latest version of iOS (checked via Settings > General > Software Update). Verified Payment Method: I have confirmed that my payment method on file is valid and up-to-date. Created a New Sandbox Account: I also created a new Sandbox Tester account in App Store Connect and tested with it, but the result was the same. Device Information: Device Model: iPhone 15, iPhone 13 iOS Version: iOS 17.5, iOS 18 Even after performing all of these steps, the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered such a stubborn issue, or does anyone have a different solution I could try? Thank you in advance for your help.

'Invalid value for purchase intake' error
Hello, I recently saw this error from StoreKit in the Console - 'Invalid value for purchase intake' - while debugging a SKPayment subscription issue (where a valid receipt should be verified and restored, but isn't for one user). I haven't been able to find any documentation about this message and wondered if it was related at all. There were two other logs from StoreKit right before saying: 'Found 3 products in receipt with ID' 'Processing ad attribution purchase intake' Does anyone know what 'invalid value for purchase intake' is referencing? We don't have the AdAttributionKit implemented. It sounds like it might be related to that instead? Thank you

App Store Server Notification implementation in multiple environments
Hey everyone, We're looking for the best way to handle App Store Server Notifications in our development setup and would appreciate some guidance. Our Setup: We use a single App Store Connect account for development, which supports multiple environments (e.g., staging1, staging2). Our production app lives in a separate account, so that's not an issue. The Challenge: We have only one configurable sandbox notification URL. This makes it difficult to route notifications to the correct development server (staging1 vs. staging2 vs developments) when a sandbox event occurs. We're considering using a proxy server to catch all notifications and then forward them to the appropriate environment. However, we're not sure how to determine the correct destination. Our Questions: What's the recommended approach for managing a single sandbox notification URL across multiple development environments? Subscription price for existing subscribers unchanged after price increase
We scheduled for a price rise for July 3rd. We have >90% of subscribers on a standard monthly subscription (without trials or offers), and we gave more than the requisite notice (we scheduled these on May 20). We also chose in the price increase flow to apply the new price to existing subscribers. On July 3rd, the price for new subscribers went up as expected. However, we are still seeing all our renewals at the old price. My own subscription to the app renewed today (July 15th) - but at the old price. In my Settings app, I can see that the next renewal (August 15th) will be at the new price. I also haven't had any notifications/email from Apple about the rise (which should happen 27 days before the rise, so will likely happen for me on July 19th....but that should've been June 19th). So it appears that while the new price will be applied to existing subscribers, it is happening a month after the scheduled price rise. Some of our customers are being contacted by Apple about the price rise...for August, when it should have already taken place. Given that we scheduled this way more than 27 days ahead, why would the price rise for existing subscribers not take place at the planned date? Are there other reasons that are not documented? The only two reasons we can see are a) insufficient planning notice and b) trial periods being respected - neither of which apply here. We can see significant cancellations from July 3rd in countries where customers have to opt-in for a price rise, primarily Germany. So it seems that the price rise definitely came into effect for our existing subscribers, causing opt-in cancellations, but the customers aren't actually paying the higher price for another cycle. Any ideas?

App is approved but in-apps are still in review
My app published 6 hours ago this is first version and IAP is still in review. My app is hard paywall app so people cannot continue in app and this is all happening during initial boost. I contacted with apple but they say they send message to review time and hours passed nothing changed. People downloading the app and I'm watching it without able to do anything :( Are there anyone experienced same thing ? Do you have any advice ?

DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification with a null gracePeriodExpiresDate
We are seeking clarification on the behavior of App Store Server Notifications V2. Summary In our production environment, we received a notification with notificationType: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW and subtype: GRACE_PERIOD. However, the gracePeriodExpiresDate field in the payload was null. We understand this notification indicates that a user's subscription has entered a grace period. The null value for its expiration date is unexpected, and we are looking for an official explanation of this behavior and the correct way to handle it. The Scenario Here are the details of the notification we received: Notification Type: DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW Notification Subtype: GRACE_PERIOD Environment: Production Upon decoding the signedRenewalInfo JWS from the responseBodyV2, we found that the gracePeriodExpiresDate field inside the JWSRenewalInfoDecodedPayload was null. The notificationUUID for this event was in the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Our Implementation and its Impact Our backend is designed to ensure service continuity during a grace period, as recommended in the documentation. Current Logic: Receive the DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW / GRACE_PERIOD notification. Extract the gracePeriodExpiresDate. Extend the user's subscription expiration date in our database to match this date. Because the gracePeriodExpiresDate was null in this case, our logic failed, creating a risk of service interruption for the user. Context and Investigation We have performed the following checks: App Store Connect Settings: We have confirmed that Billing Grace Period is enabled for the relevant subscription group. Sandbox Environment: We have been unable to reproduce this scenario in the Sandbox. User Context: We believe the user in this case was experiencing a failed payment when attempting to renew for the first time after a free trial period. Questions To ensure we handle this scenario correctly, we would appreciate clarification on the following points: Conditions for Null: Under what specific conditions does a DID_FAIL_TO_RENEW notification with a GRACE_PERIOD subtype contain a null gracePeriodExpiresDate? Expected Behavior: Is this null value an expected behavior for certain scenarios, such as the first failed renewal after a free trial? Best Practice: If this is an expected behavior, what is the correct way to handle it? How should our backend interpret a null gracePeriodExpiresDate to ensure service continuity for the user?
