Unlocking hidden "Developer mode" option on Ipad (without Mac or Xcode)
Hello, I have an iphone but not an ipad Actually a relative has an iPad. The problem I encoutered was when i was testing an app that I had built prior (so I had the ipa file) but no acces to Xcode. The thing is when I wanted to test it on my iphone, everything WENT SMOOTH and ok. When I tried on iPAD, I encounteed the problem I could not unlock the hidden "developer mode" option in any way, I tried so many things, checked and rechecked, the option was and stayed hidden, I could not activate it. Therefore I could not test the app. In the apple store I was required to give a screenshot for iPAD but that failed. because I could not produce ANY, since I could not run my app on iPAD. I actually have no idea how I activated the ability to turn on the developer mode on my iphone, it was just there and I activated it perhaps because I had added the email of my iphone to the developer account somehow? somehwere? But for iPAD I just could not find a way to do it, don't know if adding it somewhere could trigger something on the ipad to allow it to show the developer mode option so I can activate it finally? Anyway, I tried things I read on internet, methods that mention how to activate the developer mode ability on an ios devide though WINDOWS, there were 2 but one I did not trust much, and even I think i tried it and in the end it did not work for some incompatibility making that method obsolete or something? the other I am not sure but probably same idea. I would like to know, how to activate the ABILITY to SHOW the option to activate the developer mode on iPAD (or any other device but for now I am focuson on iPad) please, and without using macbook or xcode!? Could Apple or anyone offer some guidance? That would help a fellow developer. Thank you. Ps. No I cant get the mac or xcode for now (but hopefully in a far future, but for now I can't). Thanks

[REQUEST] for a tool/method/guidance how to create privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) when you don't have Xcode/mac
Hello, PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy Is primordial and without it the app is rejected from the Store I believe. All 5 ressources I had found related to it, mention XCODE, or explain how to add the code to langages that I don't use (Switf i think?) etc. I am building the app thought CI/CD, so prior to building it the app does not have privacy manifest and there is not way to generate it automatically without xcode it seems. My app is written in Flutter prior to becoming an iOS app. I am seeking for a method to do that. Thanks.

Link to app store game that does not yet exist
Hi all, Pretty new here, so please remember when you were trying hard. I am creating an IOS app that will generate a link where you have a room-id and a unique id. This will be sent (normal sms. email, copy/paste values etc) to another user. If the person receiving the link does not have the app installed, I would like it to go to the app store for download, however the app is currently not finished and therefore I can't provide a proper link. How do you deal with that? Thanks in advance

How long does it take to add bank account information on App Store Connect?
Hello everyone, I have an individual developer account. I added my bank account information one month ago but I realized I haven't accepted with tax forms. I accepted them 1 week ago but I still see the following message: "Your banking updates are processing, and you should see the changes in 24 hours. You won't be able to make any additional updates until then." However, it's been 1 week, and the status is still "Processing" with the same message displayed. How long does it usually take for bank account information to be approved? I can't fetch products without being approved. Also It doesn't let me edit my banking information.

What metrics influence App Store visibility for iOS apps in 2025?
There’s still debate on what drives App Store rankings, but some confirmed factors include app name, subtitle, keyword field, downloads, ratings, and in-app events. Likely influences are stability, retention, conversion rate, and user behavior. Search relies most on metadata, Top Charts focus on download velocity, and Featured spots are editorially chosen. Elements like promo text, long description, and release notes don’t impact rankings.

App rejected for non-public symbols _BIO_s_socket and _OPENSSL_cleanse from third-party library
Hi, My app was recently rejected with the following message: The app references non-public symbols in App: _BIO_s_socket, _OPENSSL_cleanse The confusing part is that these symbols do not come from iOS system libraries. They are defined inside a third-party static library (gRPC/OpenSSL) that my app links. I am not calling any Apple private API, only linking against the third-party code where those symbols are defined. Questions: Why does App Review treat these symbols as “non-public” when they are provided by my own bundled third-party library, not by the system? What is Apple’s recommended approach in this situation — should I rebuild the third-party library with symbol renaming / hidden visibility, or is there another supported method? It would help to understand the official reasoning here, because it seems strange that a vendor-namespaced or self-built OpenSSL would cause a rejection even though I am not using Apple’s internal/private APIs. Thanks for any clarification.

Issue with App Crashing After Download from App Store
Hi, I am experiencing a critical issue with my app (dbMobil) in its published state. When the app is installed via TestFlight, it works without any problems and no errors can be detected. However, when downloading the same app from the App Store, it immediately crashes for many users without displaying any error message, directly at app start. This issue also occurs on my own test devices: TestFlight version: works flawlessly App Store version: crashes immediately upon launch It appears that there must be a difference between the version I submitted and published via TestFlight and the one currently available on the App Store. Could you please provide me with feedback on what differences may exist between these two versions and where the cause of this issue might lie? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Successfully uploaded iOS app builds don't appear in App Store Connect
Since 1st of September archives uploaded via Xcode 26 beta 7 or builds distributed via CD (fastlane deliver) don't appear in App Store Connect. No errors reported during/after upload process, no e-mails with errors received. Xcode reports successful upload (with a few warnings regarding dSYM) I'm not getting any e-mails with ITMS errors Builds don't appear at in App Store Connect in TestFlight section (not even in "Processing" or "Failed" states). For me it seems like App Store Connect outage but all statuses in https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ are green.

App Store reviews are typically quick, but my Product Page Optimization remains stuck in review
This is my first iOS app release and I’m a bit confused. The initial version was reviewed in under 12 hours (rejected), and the corrected version was approved just as quickly. But my Product Page Optimization with only screenshots has been stuck in “Waiting for Review” for four days. Do these get reviewed only with new versions, or should I just wait it out?

App Review Stuck in Extended Review for almost 2 weeks (After “No Additional Info Required” Message)
Hi, We’re reaching out to the community because we’re stuck in a situation that’s becoming critical for our launch timeline and could really use some advice. We submitted our app on August 11, 2025. Over the following days, we worked closely with App Review, made revisions, and provided every piece of information they requested. On August 19, 2025, we finally received this message: “Your submission’s review will require additional time as we take this new information into account. We do not require any further information at this time. Once we have thoroughly reviewed your submission, we will either contact you in App Store Connect to communicate any issues found, or your submission will be approved.” We followed up days later and got this response: “We apologize for the delay. Your submission is still in review but is requiring additional time. We will provide further status updates as soon as we are able.” It’s been 12+ days with no updates, and the app is still stuck in “Unresolved Issue” status. This delay has now pushed us past our launch deadline, and we’re unsure why the process is taking so long. We completely understand that expedited reviews aren’t always possible, but given the urgency and importance of this project, we’re doing everything we can to move forward. If anyone from App Review happens to see this, or if any developers have gone through something similar and can share advice, we’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

api and data collection app stroe connect
I added a feature to my app that retrieves only app settings (no personal data) from my API hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The app does not send, collect, track, or share any user data, and I do not store or process any personal information. Technical details such as IP address, user agent, and device information may be automatically transmitted as part of the internet protocol when the request is made, but my app does not log or use them. Cloudflare may collect this information. Question: Does this count as “data collection” for App Store Connect purposes, or can I select “No Data Collected”?

Having an issues viewing application on testflight after successfully sending it to app store connect with eas
Hello, Im having an issue seeing my application appear in in testflight. as soon as i run the command eas submit - p ios --latest it completes and says Your binary has been successfully uploaded to App Store Connect! It is now being processed by Apple - you will receive an email when the processing finishes. It usually takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how busy Apple servers are. When it's done, you can see your build here: the app sometimes flashes on the screen in testflight then is gone forever This is an expo react native application.... I was able to submit builds but all of a sudden this started occuring.

Need Help Understanding Apple’s Keyword Phrase Guidance
I’m trying to clarify keyword usage in App Store Optimization. Apple’s docs suggest you can use phrases like “Near Me” instead of separating words with commas (“Near,Me”). Does assigning phrases directly improve ranking compared to letting Apple combine single keywords?
