App Review with Older SDK: Can I Publish After April 24th and How Long Can It Stay in 'On Hold' Status?
I submitted my iOS app for review with the "On Hold" status, but I uploaded the build using an older SDK version. According to the guidelines, starting April 24th, apps need to be built with the updated SDK. If my app is approved and ready for release, will I be able to release it after April 24th, even though it uses the older SDK? Also, how long can the app remain in the "On Hold" status before I need to take further action?

Need Help Updating a Custom WireGuard SPM for Xcode 16 & Swift 6
Hey iOS Dev's, I’m currently working on a Swift Package Manager (SPM) for WireGuard, originally developed by a previous team member. It was working fine in Xcode 15.2, but after upgrading to Xcode 16 and Swift 6, I need to update the SPM to ensure compatibility with my base projects and other projects relying on it. With Apple making Xcode 16 mandatory for app submissions starting April 24, this has become an urgent issue. I’ve searched extensively but haven’t found a working solution yet. Has anyone faced similar challenges with Swift 6 migration and SPM updates? Any insights, best practices, or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated! Let’s connect and collaborate—I’d love to discuss possible solutions! 😊 #iOSDevelopment #Swift6 #Xcode16 #SPM #WireGuard #iOS #Swift #SoftwareEngineering #AppStore

App Build Not Appearing in App Store Connect After Successful Upload
Dear Apple Developer Community, I am facing an issue where my Flutter app build is not appearing in App Store Connect after a successful upload. Issue Details: I archived and uploaded my app using Xcode without any errors. The build appears under my app in App Store Connect. However, when I go inside the Build section to select it for submission, there is no build available. The message displayed: "If your app uses encryption, you're required to upload export compliance documentation..." I already completed the encryption compliance but the build still does not show up. I uploaded images/screenshots, yet the issue persists. I waited over 3 days, but the build has not appeared. Environment: Xcode Version: Latest macOS Version: Latest Flutter Version: Latest Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there any workaround or additional step required? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

“Billing problem” after free trial subscription expiry in sandbox environment
Yesterday I noticed that if I purchase a free trial subscription in my app using a sandbox account, when the subscription expires I see a “Billing Problem” message every time I open the app. ”allow purchases & renewals“ setting is ON so this shouldn’t happen. has anyone else seen this or knows how to resolve? observed on iOS 18.3.2 & 16.7.10 thanks

The currency information obtained from [priceLocale] differs between the TestFlight version and the official release version.
When creating a subscription charging system for an iOS app, I am trying to change the display to yen, dollars, or euros depending on the user's country. I am using [priceLocale] of [SKProduct] in [StoreKit] to obtain currency information linked to the Apple account from the App Store and change the display. The smartphone I am testing on uses an Apple account created in Japan, and the nationality of the App Store is also set to Japan, so I expect the display to be in yen. As a result, the TestFligh version displayed dollars, but the official release version displayed yen. Why doesn't the TestFligh version display yen?

Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=500
I would like to inquire about an error that has started occurring while debugging AppStore billing. (In sandbox environment) This error occurs after entering a password and completing the purchase process, and in this case, no completion alert appears. The error doesn't seem to depend on the purchase item, sandbox account, or device, and shows unstable behavior - sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing. Additionally, this error started occurring after special debugging where the network was disconnected during the purchase process. Moreover, the same error occurs in the TestFlight version of our already released normal (supposedly) version. I think this might be a sandbox-specific error where the system has temporarily become unstable, but what do you think? If so, how can I resolve this issue? I would appreciate your insights on the cause and appropriate response. Error details below: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x283b3d070>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=500 "(null)" UserInfo={NSUnderlyingError=0x28364d770 {Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=305 "Purchase Failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Purchase Failed, AMSStatusCode=200, AMSServerPayload={ "cancel-purchase-batch" = 1; customerMessage = "Unauthorized_message"; failureType = ""; "m-allowed" = 0; pings = ( ); }, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Server canceled the purchase}}, storefront-country-code=JPN, client-environment-type=Sandbox}

TESTFLIGHT: The requested app is not available or doesn t exist
Hello, I created an app using the latest version of Xcode (16.2), and I'm having a problem testing this app on my iPhones. I created this app just like all the others I've made for my clients, including one on (03/24/25), but when I went to upload another App to App Store Connect on (03/26/25) I couldn't test it on my phone. Points to consider: The app runs perfectly on the Emulator. All my terms and agreements with Apple are up to date. I tried to download the apps through Testflight on 2 different devices, iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15.8.1) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18.3.2), and I was unsuccessful in neither attempt. I can send my app to the internal testers, but when I click download, the following message appears: Could not install [APP NAME]. The requested App is not available or doesn't exist. I imagine this problem is with Apple itself, I have already contacted support, but I need to resolve this urgently for my customers. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

App Store Ratings and Reviews Missing or Disappearing
Hello everyone, We’ve recently noticed an issue with our app’s ratings and reviews on the App Store. Some users have informed us that they left ratings and/or reviews, but these never appeared. Additionally, we’ve observed some reviews disappearing after they were initially visible. We contacted Apple Support, and while they pointed us to the App Store terms and conditions—indicating that Apple has discretion over review removal—we’re trying to determine if there might be a technical reason behind this behavior. Here are some specifics: It has been a while since we’ve seen any new ratings or reviews, even though users have confirmed submitting them. Some reviews that were previously approved and visible have disappeared without explanation. We’ve ensured—to the extent possible—that our app complies with all guidelines and policies, so we’re ruling out violations as the cause for now. Since the app is still new, even a few ratings or reviews missing is quite impactful. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Could this be related to a known bug or technical limitation? For example, could regional settings, delays in processing reviews, or other factors be affecting visibility? We would greatly appreciate any advice on how to investigate this further or escalate the matter effectively. If you’ve encountered this before, what steps did you take to resolve it? Thank you for your help!

ITMS-91109: Invalid package contents
Hi fellow developers, I built Video Restore AI which uses a number of models with CoreML on macOS to provide simple one-blick video upscaling and colorization. After uploading my archive, I received the following notification through email. ITMS-91109: Invalid package contents - The package contains one or more files with the com.apple.quarantine extended file attribute, such as “{com.kammerath.VideoRestore.pkg/Payload/Video Restore AI.app/Contents/Resources/ECCV16Colorize.mlmodelc/weights/weight.bin}”. This attribute shouldn’t be included in any macOS apps distributed on TestFlight or the App Store. Starting February 18, 2025, you must remove this attribute from all files within your macOS app before you can upload to App Store Connect. How do I deal with this? Is there a way to get Apple to just accept the model contents or do I need to convert it again with coremltools? Many thanks in advance! Jan

How to find renamed app using old name in Spotlight?
We are planning on renaming our app. The new name is not like the current name. It will be renamed in the App Store as well as the App display name. Yet, we still want new and existing users to be able to find the app by using the old name in search/spotlight under iOS. A great example of this is entering Twitter to find the X app and it shows up in the App section in the Spotlight search. Are there any guidelines, settings, or tricks for doing this? Some have suggested adding a Spotlight search term but that will not have it show up in the App section I fear.

App stuck in 'Ready for Distribution' for 24h+
My new version is stuck with 'Ready for Distribution' status since Jan 18. I have contact Apple by email, chat and call; however, they replied that they'll need senior/technical supporters for this, but all of them are busy now (?), and will contact me later. Does any face the same issue?

Jan

App rejected because reviewer says unable to signin
My app is being rejected again and again because the reviewer keeps saying that there is a bug with the app, the get OTP button did not work. They are using Ipad Air. Now the issue is that I have tested my app again and again on every device possible and I am able to login perfectly every time. I am using firebase phone authentication to login. I don't know what to do ?

How to find renamed app using old name in Spotlight?
We are planning on renaming our app. The new name is not like the current name. It will be renamed in the App Store as well as the App display name. Yet, we still want new and existing users to be able to find the app by using the old name in search/spotlight under iOS. A great example of this is entering Twitter to find the X app and it shows up in the App section in the Spotlight search. Are there any guidelines, settings, or tricks for doing this? Some have suggested adding a Spotlight search term but that will not have it show up in the App section I fear.
