To verify TLS 1.3 session resumption behavior in URLSession, I configured URLSessionConfiguration as follows and sent an HTTP GET request:
let config = URLSessionConfiguration.ephemeral
config.tlsMinimumSupportedProtocolVersion = .TLSv13
config.tlsMaximumSupportedProtocolVersion = .TLSv13
config.httpMaximumConnectionsPerHost = 1
config.httpAdditionalHeaders = ["Connection": "close"]
config.enablesEarlyData = true
let session = URLSession(configuration: config, delegate: nil, delegateQueue: nil)
let url = URL(string: "https://www.google.com")!
var request = URLRequest(url: url)
request.assumesHTTP3Capable = true
request.httpMethod = "GET"
let task = session.dataTask(with: request) { data, response, error in
if let error = error {
print("Error during URLSession data task: \(error)")
return
}
if let data = data, let responseString = String(data: data, encoding: .utf8) {
print("Received data via URLSession: \(responseString)")
} else {
print("No data received or data is not UTF-8 encoded")
}
}
task.resume()
However, after capturing the packets, I found that the ClientHello packet did not include the early_data extension.
It seems that enablesEarlyData on URLSessionConfiguration is not being applied.
How can I make this work properly?

When changing a camera's exposure, AVFoundation provides a callback which offers the timestamp of the first frame captured with the new exposure duration: AVCaptureDevice.setExposureModeCustom(duration:, iso:, completionHandler:).
I want to get a similar callback when changing frame duration.
After setting AVCaptureDevice.activeVideoMinFrameDuration or AVCaptureDevice.activeVideoMinFrameDuration to a new value, how can I compute the index or the timestamp of the first camera frame which was captured using the newly set frame duration?
On iPhone, I would like to have a more button at the top right of the navigation bar, a search field in the bottom toolbar, and a plus button to the right of the search field. I've achieved this via the code below.
But on iPad they should be in the navigation bar at the trailing edge from left to right: plus, more, search field. Just like the Shortcuts app, if there's not enough horizontal space, the search field should collapse into a button, and with even smaller space the search bar should become full-width under the navigation bar.
Right now on iPad the search bar is full width under the navigation bar, more at top right, plus at bottom middle, no matter how big the window is.
How can I achieve that? Any way to specify them for the system to more automatically do the right thing, or would I need to check specifically for iPhone vs iPad UIDevice to change the code?
struct ContentView: View {
@State private var searchText = ""
var body: some View {
NavigationStack {
VStack {
Text("Hello, world!")
}
.navigationTitle("Test App")
.searchable(text: $searchText)
.toolbar {
ToolbarItem {
Menu {
//...
} label: {
Label("More", systemImage: "ellipsis")
}
}
DefaultToolbarItem(kind: .search, placement: .bottomBar)
ToolbarSpacer(.fixed, placement: .bottomBar)
ToolbarItem(placement: .bottomBar) {
Button {
print("Add tapped")
} label: {
Label("Add", systemImage: "plus")
}
}
}
}
}

I've noticed that NSLog() doesn't do anything on iOS 26 when an app is downloaded from TestFlight.
I've got an app uploaded with a liberal sprinkling of NSLog lines in it for debugging purposes - if I download that onto an iOS 18 devices, and use Apple Configurator's console or the Mac's console app, then the logging output is verbose and as expected.
But if I download that same app onto an iOS 26 handset, there's nothing.
Logging is visible in the Xcode console, however sometimes there are situations where you need console logging with a TestFlight build.
What happened? Was this an intentional change? Why. This is a major hindrance in diagnosing issues / bugs etc.
How can we receive the iPadOS 18.6.1 update on an iPad? We have configured the MDM update days policy to receive recent, but not the latest, iPadOS updates; however, we are only able to get versions 18.6.2 and 18.6. Is the availability of iPadOS updates dependent on the iPad's region?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I archived the app via Xcode for App Store Connect. When I upload this build to iPhone via TestFlight everything works fine, but when I send it to Apple they get a black screen. Please tell me what the problem is

Hello,
It seems Xcode 26 beta is lagging the OS releases, which is fine.
However, how does one install a Beta N + 1 or N + 2 SDK into the older Xcode beta?
I'd like to use iOS 26 Beta 8 from the Xcode 26 Beta 6 install I have. I have tried Settings/Components and Devices & Simulators but nothing Beta 7 nor 8 shows up there.
Thanks!

Hello, Im having an issue seeing my application appear in in testflight. as soon as i run the command eas submit - p ios --latest it completes and says
Your binary has been successfully uploaded to App Store Connect!
It is now being processed by Apple - you will receive an email when the processing finishes.
It usually takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how busy Apple servers are.
When it's done, you can see your build here:
the app sometimes flashes on the screen in testflight then is gone forever
This is an expo react native application.... I was able to submit builds but all of a sudden this started occuring.

I've been trying to understand what kind of UX is available if my app is using the default-dialer capability. I have found https://developer.apple.com/documentation/livecommunicationkit/preparing-your-app-to-be-the-default-dialer-app and I am in the EU.
On android I built the UX I want and it's quite neat, so now I'm trying to work. out what I can get on iOS. Because the product is kind of worthless with just android.
I have built a simple dialer ux with a numberpad, contact lookup etc. Then when the user presses the Call button does it have to pop up the system prompt "Call number"? Does it have to swap over to the system ui for the actual call? So there's no way to show information about the call, during the call? Or am I using the frameworks incorrectly? I am very new to iOS development.
TrueCaller and others show validation, but as I understand it they pre-fetch all the data, I can't do that.
Call blocking using a third-party CallKit app is not longer working with the latest iOS 26 Public Beta (23A5297m).
We've tried several different Call Blocking apps (that used to work fine on iOS 18.5) and their call blocking functionality is not working anymore.
All calls pass through and the phone rings on those "blocked" numbers. We got several user complaints about our app that is not working on iOS 26 Public Beta.
We've filed 2 bug reports with Feedback Assistant:
FB19140680
FB19140594
Please fix this issue in the next Beta versions of iOS 26 to have a stable iOS 26 release in the future.
Thank you in advance.
For call reported in lockscreen, after updating the CXCallUpdate for an active callkit reported call with reportCallWithUUID:updated:. The display namer in the callkit UI is not getting updated.
This issue exists from iOS 18 and later. Issue is always seen.

An app with a UIToolbar pinned to the bottom of a view controllers view extends to the screen edge (behind the safe area) when run on iOS 18.X but not iOS 26.
This UIToolbar is set as constrained to the safeAreaLayoutGuide with the following constraints.
self.view.addConstraints([
bottomToolbar.leadingAnchor.constraint(equalTo: self.view.leadingAnchor),
bottomToolbar.trailingAnchor.constraint(equalTo: self.view.trailingAnchor),
bottomToolbar.bottomAnchor.constraint(equalTo: self.view.safeAreaLayoutGuide.bottomAnchor),
bottomToolbar.heightAnchor.constraint(greaterThanOrEqualToConstant: 44.0)
])
This is especially noticeable when the UIToolbar background color differs from the view background color.
This occurs on iOS 26 beta 6, app built with Xcode 26 beta 5.
I've posted a Feedback FB19664903 including a minimal Xcode workspace that reproduces this issue.
Anyone suggestions would be appreciated ... this definitely seems like a regression.
Hello, I am new to App development, so I am looking for some advice.
I want to develop an app for iPhone, which downloads files (pdf, jpg)from a server to the local storage. I also want to get data from the server to be used in my app. This could be a database access or just simple xml files. I
want a secure access based on userid and password.
Since in a later version, my app should also run on Android Phones, I am reluctant to use iCloud.
I was thinking sftp, but that does not seem to be supported for iOS.
Hi all,
Recently, I received feedback from users that the cell of UITableView will be enlarged when clicked on the iOS26 system. After positioning, it was found that the iOS26 system has reset the frame of the contentView so that its width is always the screen width. The following Demo can reproduce this problem. Does anyone have this problem? Is there a solution?
Thanks
Run and click on the cell to see the problem

An iOS app has a UINavigationController with a UINavigationBar that is non-translucent (e.g. black). When performing a push (or pop) to navigate to or from another UIViewController the UIBarButtonItems on the navigation bar are flashing a white background. With a dark navigation bar this is very noticeable and not desirable.
This only occurs when run on iOS 26 and is related to Liquid Glass
I've created FB19660024 with a minimal Xcode workspace to reproduce, along with a video showing the behavior.
This is a cosmetic bug, not affecting functionality, but is a very undesirable effect on apps with dark and non-translucent navigation bars.
Has anyone else seen this and found a workaround?
After updating from iOS 18 to iOS 26, our app icon appears to have automatically received the new 'Liquid Glass' effect. We confirmed that this change occurred without us releasing a new app update.
My questions are:
Is this a system behavior where iOS 26 automatically applies the new icon style to existing apps?
If so, is it possible for a developer to control or customize this effect? I am also wondering if there are any methods other than using Icon Composer.
An issue with the CallKit UI, specifically regarding the functionality of the speaker button.
When a user initiates a video call with CallKit and then, using the existing CallKit session, initiates an audio call, there are no issues with CallKit or the audio.
However, if the user terminates the video call from the CallKit UI, the active CallKit session ends. To resume the ongoing audio call, we report a new CallKit call upon the end call trigger. While there are no issues with this reporting, the CallKit UI does not provide an audio route for the built-in receiver, and the speaker button remains unresponsive.
IPA was build on SDK 18 and running on iOS beta 26.
Issue is NOT seen with SDK18 and running iOS 18.x or lower devices.

The default style for a segmented picker in iOS 26 is now a capsule shape. Is it possible to get back the previous rounded rectangle shape?
In SwiftUI I have tried using the clipShape, containerShape, and background modifiers, applying a RoundedRectangle shape with a corner radius, to no avail. In UIKit I have tried to adjust the corner configuration for the UISegmentedControl, also to no avail.
Am I missing something really obvious or is it impossible to change the style here? 🤔
In the iOS 26 developer preview, I noticed that the new Liquid Glass style only applies when the user’s home screen theme is set to transparent. Is it possible to allow users to directly set the new Liquid Glass style for widgets, instead of having it tied to the home screen theme setting?
Hi,
