How to create two distinct types of users in an application who interact with one another?

I am considering how to create an iOS application where two distinct user types interact: service provider and consumer. For example, a consumer uploads a file which then notifies and becomes available to a small group of service providers, one of whom accepts, modifies and sends the file back to the consumer. Data would be private between the service provider and consumer. Are there any resources such as tutorials that explain how to create two different types of users who could interact in this manner? Any insight into a viable approach is also much appreciated. Thanks!

Supervised / non-supervised devices in ABM

We are developing a private app. Until now we were doing Ad Hoc deployment using MDM solution to deploy the app on registered devices. We are now investigating possibility to deploy the app as a Custom App through the Apple Business Manager. We have registered our organisation and configure our App in App Store Connect for private distribution to some specific organisation IDs. We have currently iPads already enrolled in our MDM solution, some being owned by us and are supervised and some that we don't own and are not supervised. We are a bit confused regarding the possibility to deploy the app on all those devices using our ABM account.  Is it possible to register non supervised devices in ABM? or is it a requirement to supervise the device? For the supervised devices that we own and which are already registered in our MDM, is it possible to make them appear in the ABM without having to re-enroll them using Apple Configurator?  Thanks for your help.

This app has in-app purchases that are in review. Please try again once these in-app purchases are no longer being reviewed I wrote in support. I was asked to send additional information (when it happened, browser version, etc.). I have sent all the information you need. in response I receive the same letter - send additional information. this cycle was repeated several times. I think I am communicating with a buggy bot. this is a very urgent issue for my business, what should i do? I need help.

Xcode 12 is slow when launching apps (even sample projects)

Running a project from Xcode 12 seems to be very slow during launch. Even the example projects from Apple. Basically it feels as if the app is stuck on the launch screen? However, if I unplug from my Mac and just launch via tapping on the App icon, it's super fast. Anyone is having the same issue? Regards Gameswithgf - https://www.example.com/

SiriKit System default Intents

I added some siri default intents and noticed that they tend to call the system's default apps rather than my app instead. By adding "in my app name" to the end of the invocation phrase it seems to work (at least sometimes. But it still is quite unpredicable and siri often confuses "in my app name" with the content of the invocation. I have two questions that hopefully can be answered by someone more experienced with siri than me: 1) is this "normal" behaviour or are there techniques to improve this? Like setting a default app for handling an intent or such? 2) is it always required to add the "in my app name" phrase? 3) will siri get used to it by time? The current performance is not even close to anything I would like to have a customer to deal with :/ Maybe that also has an impact, I'm currently testing in german. When testing in english it feels slightly better. Thanks for any helful hint / direction!

Dear Developers, I am new to the iOS platform. I got an application sent to me, which works perfectly fine on Mobile Data, but it does not work on a WiFi network. I tried changing the device and resetting iPhone multiple times, still no luck.

linking up fields of research

I wanted to find linguists here who may also be developers in order to get an app onto the market that allows language teachers to create and edit (syntax) parsing trees. I don't find anything professional enough and I think there would be a need for such an app. Who knows how I may go about it? (I myself don't have sufficient skills for app developing but I want to promote the idea).

Mobile App distribution

Hi everyone, I have been looking into distributing an iOS mobile app but I'm not quite sure about the distribution method. I plan to distribute an App for around 10 thousand employees (All within the same company). These employees would need to download the App on their private mobile phone. The app is free. The App shouldn't be visible on the app store. What do you think would be a possible deployment method for these criteria (entreprise, B2B, else) ? Many thanks !

ATTN: To all iPad app developers and windows organization

As we all know the iPad operating system is the only operating system that has access to the best apps. But what we also know is that most people in the world are financially struggling and can't afford ipads. So therefore won't be able to use the apps, and that needs to change! And that needs to change because Apps have become a very important feature on our devices and is the main reason most of us purchase our devices. Most people need apps for something and specifically artists who are financially struggling need the most affordable access to quality apps in order to get their work to the public. But unfortunately most of the good apps are only on ipads, and unfortunately iPads can not be afforded by most people. It's a sad thing to see that in 2021 Apple still has all of the best app developers and still is the gate keeper for quality app access because of ridiculously high prices for their devices. And this really hurts because there are better looking and more affordable and powerful designs with other operating systems, but people, especially struggling artists have to turn them down because of the lack of apps. Every year windows comes out with more beautiful and powerful laptops that are actually affordable. And many artists marvel at the beauty of windows laptops and desperately want to use them for their work, but unfortunately there are hardly any apps in the windows app store, compared to ipad. And because of that they realize they can't reach their full potential. So even though many want to purchase that beautiful windows laptop for $200, many have to pass on it, and instead stress themselves out by trying to find a used discounted iPad some where. This has to end! This is an urgent message to windows as well as iPad app developers: To you both I'm asking for empathy on both of your behalves for people who long to have fun experiences with more apps in a more affordable way, and I'm also asking you to have empathy for those struggling artists of all backgrounds who want to chase their dreams, but who are left stressed and depressed because of lack of access to the best apps because of Apple's greed. Windows I'm asking you start incentivizing all ipad app developers to start porting their iPad apps over to your operating system. You have the most affordable devices and the best designs, so because of that you can no longer allow apple to prevail in the oppression of our struggling people. I want to thank the iPad app developers as well as windows for your time and I hope this message to you will spark progress so more people can benefit from your amazing talents and designs. Thanks.

Why are custom Apps installed via iTunes & how to push updates?

Just finished publishing my first custom app via App Store Connect for my client. Note that this app will be distributed ONLY to employees that work for my client's company thus we're using redemption codes generated via my client's Apple Business Manager account. I was able to successfully install the app on a couple of iPhones (via redemption codes). However, I was a bit surprised to learn that the app is downloaded via the iTunes app, not via the regular App Store. First question: Is this correct or did we do something wrong? Second question: Being that iTunes was used to download and install the app, you would think app would appear somewhere within iTunes but to my surprise it doesn't. Instead, it appears in the regular App Store! What is that? Confused here 🤪. Third question: At some point in the near future we'll need to make updates to the app so I'd like to know what exactly is the process to do so. Is it automatic like regular apps on the public App Store or do we have to do something special? Sorry for the noob questions. Thanks!

ABM with redemption codes - How to manage the codes?

Hello people. I need to publish some Custom Apps using redemption codes. I know how it works, I already have my ABM account and I already have the redemption codes. My question is: Is there a solution/product/api to control which codes have already been redeemed? I ask this, because there will be 8 apps and I have 20,000 employees. MDM and IN-House are not options. It is humanly impossible to control by email, spreadsheet or anything manual. Before developing anything to do this, I would like to know if there is a ready-made solution.
