Xcode 14: [Assert] UINavigationBar decoded as unlocked for UINavigationController
In Xcode 14 RC, I'm seeing this in the Console: [Assert] UINavigationBar decoded as unlocked for UINavigationController, or navigationBar delegate set up incorrectly. Inconsistent configuration may cause problems. navigationController=<MasterNavigationController: 0x135016200>, navigationBar=<UINavigationBar: 0x134f0aec0; frame = (0 20; 0 50); opaque = NO; autoresize = W; layer = <CALayer: 0x600000380be0>> delegate=0x135016200 The above message displays exactly four times immediately at app launch (top of the console) then does not repeat. MasterNavigationController is the internal class for the app's navigation controller. It is in a Storyboard, with very minimal ObjC code. I am not setting any specific size for the nav bar. I don't remember seeing this in earlier builds of Xcode, but I can't swear to it that this is new. No assertion actually fires.

iOS 16.0 beta 7 broke Text(Date(), style: .timer) in SwiftUI widgets
Hi, In my apps, the recent iOS 16.0 beta 7 (20A5356a) broke the .timer DateStyle property of the Text view, in a SwiftUI widget. In previous OS and beta, Text(Date(), style: .timer) was correctly displaying an increasing counter. In iOS 6.0 beta 7, Text(Date(), style: .timer) does not update anymore, (and is offset to the left). The other DateStyle (like .offset, .relative, ...) seems to update correctly. Anyone noticed that (very specific) problem ?

CallKit does not activate audio session with higher probability after upgrading to iOS 18.4.1
Hi, We've noticed that this issue occurs more frequently after upgrading to iOS 18.4.1 and can result in one-way audio. Our app uses CallKit with WebRTC to establish VoIP connections. However, on iOS 18.4.1, CallKit no longer triggers: func provider(_ provider: CXProvider, didActivate audioSession: AVAudioSession) We're currently comparing the occurrence rate across different iOS versions to better understand the impact. Could you please help analyze the root cause of this issue?

BGTaskScheduler crashes on iOS 18.4
I've been seeing a high number of BGTaskScheduler related crashes, all of them coming from iOS 18.4. I've encountered this myself once on launch upon installing my app, but haven't been able to reproduce it since, even after doing multiple relaunches and reinstalls. Crash report attached at the bottom of this post. I am not even able to symbolicate the reports despite having the archive on my MacBook: Does anyone know if this is an iOS 18.4 bug or am I doing something wrong when scheduling the task? Below is my code for scheduling the background task on the view that appears when my app launches: .onChange(of: scenePhase) { newPhase in if newPhase == .active { #if !os(macOS) let request = BGAppRefreshTaskRequest(identifier: "notifications") request.earliestBeginDate = Calendar.current.date(byAdding: .hour, value: 3, to: Date()) do { try BGTaskScheduler.shared.submit(request) Logger.notifications.log("Background task scheduled. Earliest begin date: \(request.earliestBeginDate?.description ?? "nil", privacy: .public)") } catch let error { // print("Scheduling Error \(error.localizedDescription)") Logger.notifications.error("Error scheduling background task: \(error.localizedDescription, privacy: .public)") } #endif ... } 2025-02-23_19-53-50.2294_+0000-876d2b8ec083447af883961da90398f00562f781.crash

Disappearing empty Smart App Banner
My team recently released an app to the iOS app store. We are trying to add the Smart App Banner to our website to promote the app, but the banner is not shown. When the page loads, there is a flash of an empty Smart App Banner before it is automatically dismissed. This happens on every page load. If I put use an app ID of other apps the banner appears. I've triple checked that I'm using the correct app ID. So it seems like it is an issue with my app. I can see my app in the App Store, so I know it's available. I've tested on multiple phones.

iOS 26 Safari & WebView: VisualViewport.offsetTop not reset after keyboard dismissal, causing fixed elements misplacement
1. System/device combinations where the issue does not occur: Physical device: iOS 26.0 (23A5318c) + iPhone 16 Pro Max 2. System/device combinations where the issue does occur: System versions: Physical device: iOS 26.0 (23A5330a), iOS 26.0 (23A340) Simulator: iOS 26.0 (23A339) Device models: Physical device: iPhone 12 Reproducible in Safari, WKWebView, and UIWebView: Yes Actual behavior In WebView (and identically in Safari): Before the keyboard is shown, header/footer elements with position: fixed are correctly aligned with the screen viewport. Scrolling up/down works as expected. After the keyboard appears, the visualViewport position changes. Bug: When the keyboard is dismissed, visualViewport.offsetTop does not reset to 0. As a result, fixed header/footer elements remain misaligned: When scrolling down, the position looks correct. When scrolling up, the header/footer are visibly offset. Steps to reproduce Focus an input field → the keyboard appears Dismiss the keyboard Observe that visualViewport.offsetTop remains >0 (does not reset to zero) position: fixed header/footer elements are misplaced relative to the screen Expected behavior After the keyboard is dismissed, visualViewport.height should return to match the layout viewport, and visualViewport.offsetTop should reset to 0. When scrolling upward, fixed elements should remain correctly positioned within the layout viewport. Minimal reproducible demo A simple HTML file containing: A header and footer with position: fixed An input element to trigger the keyboard <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="zh-CN"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8" /> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, viewport-fit=cover" /> <title>H5 吸顶吸底页面 Demo</title> <style> * { margin: 0; padding: 0; box-sizing: border-box; } body { font-family: Arial, sans-serif; height: 2000px; /* 设置内容高度 */ background-color: #f0f8ff; /* body 背景浅蓝色 */ padding-top: 120px; /* 预留 header 高度 */ padding-bottom: 60px; /* 预留 footer 高度 */ overflow-x: hidden; } /* 吸顶 Header */ header { position: fixed; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 120px; background-color: #ff6b6b; /* 红色 */ display: flex; align-items: center; justify-content: center; color: white; font-size: 24px; font-weight: bold; z-index: 1000; } /* 吸底 Footer */ footer { position: fixed; bottom: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 60px; background-color: #4ecdc4; /* 青绿色 */ display: flex; align-items: center; justify-content: center; color: white; font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold; z-index: 1000; } /* 输入框样式 */ .input-container { margin: 100px auto; width: 80%; max-width: 600px; text-align: center; } input[type='text'] { padding: 12px; font-size: 16px; border: 2px solid #ddd; border-radius: 8px; width: 100%; box-sizing: border-box; } input[type='text']:focus { outline: none; border-color: #4ecdc4; } </style> </head> <body> <!-- 吸顶 Header --> <header>吸顶 Header (120px)</header> <!-- 主体内容 --> <div class="input-container"> <input type="text" placeholder="请输入内容..." /> </div> <!-- 吸底 Footer --> <footer>吸底 Footer (60px)</footer> </body> </html>

Call Blocking (CallKit) not working on iOS 26 Public Beta
Call blocking using a third-party CallKit app is not longer working with the latest iOS 26 Public Beta (23A5297m). We've tried several different Call Blocking apps (that used to work fine on iOS 18.5) and their call blocking functionality is not working anymore. All calls pass through and the phone rings on those "blocked" numbers. We got several user complaints about our app that is not working on iOS 26 Public Beta. We've filed 2 bug reports with Feedback Assistant: FB19140680 FB19140594 Please fix this issue in the next Beta versions of iOS 26 to have a stable iOS 26 release in the future. Thank you in advance.

Create an SecIdentityRef from a certificate and private key
Hi, I am working on a react native module used for tis connection and I am trying to implement the possibility to use a custom certificate/Private key. I have already implemented on android but on iOS I am getting hard times, we cannot find lots of resources, api is different on macOS and iOS with subtle differences so after having tested SO, chatgpt, ... I am trying here: I even tried to use an internal api since it seems ffmpeg uses it but with no success. I have attached my current code because it does not fit here. to sump up after having inserted cert and private key I try to get a SecIdentityRef but it fails. I assume that it's not enough to simply add certain and private key... // Query for the identity with correct attributes NSDictionary *identityQuery = @{ (__bridge id)kSecClass: (__bridge id)kSecClassIdentity, (__bridge id)kSecMatchLimit: (__bridge id)kSecMatchLimitOne, (__bridge id)kSecReturnRef: @YES, (__bridge id)kSecReturnData: @YES, (__bridge id)kSecAttrLabel: @"My Certificate", //(__bridge id)kSecUseDataProtectionKeychain: @YES }; SecIdentityRef identity = NULL; status = SecItemCopyMatching((__bridge CFDictionaryRef)identityQuery, (CFTypeRef *)&identity); TcpSocketClient.txt SecItemCopyMatching with kSecClassIdentity fails, SecIdentityCreate return NULL... So please help and indicates what I am doing wrong and how I am supposed getting a SecIdentityRef. Thanks

Profile doesn't include the com.apple.application-identifier entitlement.
I have tried everything and still I am getting this. Just for a test I created a new app (Master-Detail template Xcode 11.5) I have created an entry in the iTunes Connect to receive the app upon archiving and uploading. I regenerated all new certificates for iOS Development and Distribution. I created all new Provisioning profiles. The Dev profile builds deploys and runs on my device The Dist profile builds but when I select the distribution profile I get the "Profile doesn't include the com.apple.application-identifier entitlement." error. When I download the profile within Xcode all looks good for the distribution profile: App ID: matches correctly Certificated: 1 Included includes the new signing certificate "iPhone Distribution...." Capabilities: 3 Included Includes Game Center, In-App Purchase, and Keychain Sharing Entitlements: 5 Included Includes application-identifier, keychain-access-groups, beta-reports-active, get-task-allow, and com.apple.developer.team-identifier. Im not sure what is going on. This is a standard process I have performed for quite a while. As a matter of fact I just submitted 3 applications last Sunday. Thank you for any suggestions.

DNS Proxy Provider remains active after app uninstall | iOS
Hi, I've encountered a strange behavior in the DNS Proxy Provider extension. Our app implements both DNS Proxy Provider and Content Filter Providers extensions, configured via MDM. When the app is uninstalled, the behavior of the providers differs: For Content Filter Providers (both Filter Control and Filter Data Providers), the providers stop as expected with the stop reason: /** @const NEProviderStopReasonProviderDisabled The provider was disabled. */ case providerDisabled = 5 However, for the DNS Proxy Provider, the provider remains in the "Running" state, even though there is no app available to match the provider's bundle ID in the uploaded configuration profile. When the app is reinstalled: The Content Filter Providers start as expected. The DNS Proxy Provider stops with the stop reason: /** @const NEProviderStopReasonAppUpdate The NEProvider is being updated */ @available(iOS 13.0, *) case appUpdate = 16 At this point, the DNS Proxy Provider remains in an 'Invalid' state. Reinstalling the app a second time seems to resolve the issue, with both the DNS Proxy Provider and Content Filter Providers starting as expected. This issue seems to occur only if some time has passed after the DNS Proxy Provider entered the 'Running' state. It appears as though the system retains a stale configuration for the DNS Proxy Provider, even after the app has been removed. Steps to reproduce: Install the app and configure both DNS Proxy Provider and Content Filter Providers using MDM. Uninstall the app. Content Filter Providers are stopped as expected (NEProviderStopReason.providerDisabled = 5). DNS Proxy Provider remains in the 'Running' state. Reinstall the app. Content Filter Providers start as expected. DNS Proxy Provider stops with NEProviderStopReason.appUpdate (16) and remains 'Invalid'. Reinstall the app again. DNS Proxy Provider now starts as expected. This behavior raises concerns about how the system manages the lifecycle of DNS Proxy Provider, because DNS Proxy Provider is matched with provider bundle id in .mobileconfig file. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any suggestions on how to address or debug this behavior would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

Swift UI on iOS 14 not assigning new object to @State property
On iOS 13 I used to use optional @State properties to adapt views. In my case, the presented view would either create a new object (an assignment) if the state that is passed into it is nil, or edit the assignment if an assignment was passed in. This would be done in the action block of a Button and it worked beautifully. On iOS 14 / Xcode 12 this no longer seems to work. Given the following code which creates a new assignment and passes it into the editor view when the user taps a "New Assignment" button, the value of assignment remains nil. Is anyone else experiencing similar behaviour? struct ContentView: View { &#9;&#9;@Environment(\.managedObjectContext) var context &#9;&#9;@State var assignmentEditorIsPresented = false &#9;&#9;@State var assignment: Assignment? = nil &#9;&#9;var Body: some View { &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;[...] &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;Button("New Assignment", action: { &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;self.assignment = Assignment(context: context) &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;self.assignmentEditorIsPresented = true &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;}) &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;.sheet(isPresented: assignmentEditorIsPresented) { &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;[...] &#9;&#9;&#9;&#9;} &#9;&#9;} } What's even weirder is that I tried adding a random piece of state, an Int, to this view and modifying it right before the assignment state (between lines 9 and 10) and it didn't change either.

Safari 16.4 seems to lose session cookies on asset requests or javascript fetches.
On iPads after updating to iPadOS 16.4, Safari often "looses" the session cookie provided by PlayFramework: When the browser requests assets (js scripts) or when additional data is fetched by JavaScript, the session cookie is not included in the request. These secondary requests will redirect through our IAM because no session cookie is present. The IAM redirects back to the original domain with a payload so that the login session can be resumed. A new Set-Cookie header is sent in the response with the new session cookie. This causes the framework to issue a new CSRF token (that is part of the session cookie) which is different from the old one that was already rendered into a hidden form input. The browser stores this new token and includes it when it POSTs the form. The token in the body of the request is now different from the one in the cookies, causing the CSRF check to fail. We have tried different devices (Android, Windows, MacBook, and iPads) on different versions. The problem only occurs with Safari on iPad/MacBook running version 16.4, 16.4.1, or 16.5 beta. The problem cannot be reproduced using Chrome on iPad. Furthermore, the problem does not occur with private browsing in Safari. Some things we ruled out: Same behaviour on devices managed by MDM and on open devices. PlayFramework version is now updated to the latest 2.8 version. Using a separate cookie for the CSRF token (instead of the play session cookie) does not make a difference either. Modifying the Cache-Control header to cache responses more aggressively or not at all does not help. Has anyone also experienced this or similar problems?

UISegmentedControl Not Switching Segments on iOS Beta 26
While testing my application on iOS beta 26, I am experiencing issues with the native UISegmentedControl component from UIKit. After implementing the control, I noticed that I am unable to switch to the second segment option—the selection remains fixed on the first segment regardless of user interaction. I have already reviewed the initial configuration of the control, the addition of the segments, and the implementation of the target-action, but the issue persists. I would like to understand what could be causing this behavior and if there are any specific adjustments or workarounds for iOS 26. I created a minimal application containing only a UISegmentedControl to clearly demonstrate the issue.

PDFKit PDFPage.characterBounds(at:) returns incorrect coordinates iOS 18 beta 4
PDFKit PDFPage.characterBounds(at: Int) is returning incorrect coordinates with iOS 18 beta 4 and later / Xcode 16 beta 4. It worked fine in iOS 17 and earlier (after showing the same issue during the early iOS 17 beta cycle) It breaks critical functionality that my app relies on. I have filed feedback (FB14843671). So far no changes in the latest betas. iOS release date is approaching fast! Anybody having the same issue? Any workaround available?

Devices upgraded to iOS 18 fail to launch apps signed with an enterprise certificate.
We are using an app distributed via an iOS enterprise certificate. There is an exceptional user who could normally use the app signed with this certificate before upgrading to iOS 18. However, after updating to iOS 18 (currently on version 18.3), the app crashes immediately upon launch. Real-time logs indicate that the application fails to start. This issue is unique to this user, as other users on the same iOS 18.3 system do not experience the problem. console log

Button Touch Not Canceled in ScrollView on Modal in SwiftUI for iOS 18
When displaying a view with a Button inside a ScrollView using the sheet modifier, if you try to close the sheet by swiping and your finger is touching the Button, the touch is not canceled. This issue occurs when building with Xcode 16 but does not occur when building with Xcode 15. Here is screen cast. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GaOjggWxvjDY38My4JEl-URyik928iBT/view?usp=sharing Code struct ContentView: View { @State var isModalPresented: Bool = false var body: some View { ScrollView { Button { debugPrint("Hello") isModalPresented.toggle() } label: { Text("Hello") .frame(height: 44) } Button { debugPrint("World") } label: { Text("World") .frame(height: 44) } Text("Hoge") .frame(height: 44) .contentShape(Rectangle()) .onTapGesture { debugPrint("Hoge") } } .sheet(isPresented: $isModalPresented) { ContentView() } } }

Unfinished transactions not being emitted on start of app
I'm using the iOS simulator with a StoreKit configuration file. I can see that there have been transactions while the app has been closed, but my StoreKit 2 listener is never called with those updates to be able to finish them When I open my app from a cold start. I've added a listener on application(_:didFinishLaunching:launchOptions:) like this: func startObservingTransactions() { task = Task(priority: .background) { for await result in Transaction.updates { if case .verified(let transaction) = result { await transaction.finish() } } } } But the Transaction.updates loop never gets called (have added breakpoints to check). It's only ever called when a purchase is made, or subsequent transaction renewals when the app is open. Only then it will get the previously unfinished transactions. Steps to reproduce: Create an app with a StoreKit config file (with sped up transactions) to purchase an item Make a purchase then quit the app Wait for a bit for more transactions to be made while the app is closed. Open the app from a cold start and none of the transactions will be finished by the listener in your app. Cancel the subscription via the transaction manager. Close and open the app from a cold start. The first transaction will be finished by the listener but none of the others will be. In Apple's docs it says If your app has unfinished transactions, the listener receives them immediately after the app launches Why is this not the case?
