Hi there,
can some one help how to debug this crashes? where I can start to find root causes of this crashes. I've got lot of these NSInvalidArgumentException crashes in myapp last version
I have no idea how to reproduce these issues since it doesn't point to any specific code on myapp, so I don't know how to start

Please excuse my lack of understanding of what are probably fundamental concepts in iOS/iPadOS development but I have searched far and wide for documentation and haven't had much luck so far. I am not sure that what I want to do is even possible with an iPad iPadOS app.
Goals: Develop a Swift iPadOS app that can digitally sign a
file using a PIV SmartCard/Token (Personal Identity Verification Card):
Insert a PIV SmartCard/Token (such as a Yubikey 5Ci) into the lightning port of an iPadOS device iPad (NOT MacOS)
Interface with the SmartCard/Token to access the user's PIV certificate/signature and "use it" to sign a file
Question 1: How to get the PIV Certificate from
SmartCard/Token/Yubikey into iPadOS keychain?
* Do we need to get the PIV certificate into the
iOS keychain? Is there another way to interact with a SmartCard directly?
* This should prompt the user for their PIN?
Question 2: How to get our Swift app to hook into the event
that the SmartCard/Token is inserted into the device and then interface with
the user's certificate?
* When is the user prompted to enter their PIN for
SmartCard/Token/Yubikey?
* Do we need to use CyrptoTokenKit to interface with
a smartcard inserted into the lightning port of an iOS device?
Hi Apple,
Currently we want to have enhancement for SMS OTP that we want to implement OTP Autofill, But after do some research we're stuck with option that the OTP only show in keyboard suggestion, is there any way for making OTP is automatically filled without user have to click the keyboard suggestion when receiving the SMS.
Thanks

I'd like to know the install state of my iOS safari extension in the associated swift app. Is there any way to get this? As we have seen it is available for macOS here, is there anyway to know iOS Safari extension is enabled or not?
Thanks
On iPads after updating to iPadOS 16.4, Safari often "looses" the session cookie provided by PlayFramework: When the browser requests assets (js scripts) or when additional data is fetched by JavaScript, the session cookie is not included in the request.
These secondary requests will redirect through our IAM because no session cookie is present. The IAM redirects back to the original domain with a payload so that the login session can be resumed. A new Set-Cookie header is sent in the response with the new session cookie.
This causes the framework to issue a new CSRF token (that is part of the session cookie) which is different from the old one that was already rendered into a hidden form input. The browser stores this new token and includes it when it POSTs the form. The token in the body of the request is now different from the one in the cookies, causing the CSRF check to fail.
We have tried different devices (Android, Windows, MacBook, and iPads) on different versions. The problem only occurs with Safari on iPad/MacBook running version 16.4, 16.4.1, or 16.5 beta. The problem cannot be reproduced using Chrome on iPad. Furthermore, the problem does not occur with private browsing in Safari.
Some things we ruled out:
Same behaviour on devices managed by MDM and on open devices.
PlayFramework version is now updated to the latest 2.8 version.
Using a separate cookie for the CSRF token (instead of the play session cookie) does not make a difference either.
Modifying the Cache-Control header to cache responses more aggressively or not at all does not help.
Has anyone also experienced this or similar problems?
We have noticed that in iOS 16 or greater , the Smart App Banner which shows based on meta tag added is not showing the app ratings inside the popup. Can we override this new behavior to show ratings and custom text.
Hi,
I saw that almost each OS version, on ios and macos, handles differently changing includeAllNetworks while the tunnel is running. On some the entire OS reports no-net, while others, specially latest versions, handle this fine.
Can includeAllNetworks be changed while the tunnel is running, or the tunnel must be stopped and restarted with the new value? e.g. the tunnel is started with it set to false, but later is changed to true into VPN profile.
And on the same note, regarding setTunnelNetworkSettings, can this be called multiple times while the tunnel is running? For example if the VPN server IP changes. Because what I've saw each call to setTunnelNetworkSettings after VPN connected results in at least DNS leaks, because the routing table is recreated.
Let me know if it is easier to track to create separate questions.
Thanks
Does the iPhone or iPad support reception of the following communication standards?
If so, please let me know if there is an swift API available.

Hello Team,
I try to delete photo from Photos for that i used this method,
[[PHPhotoLibrary sharedPhotoLibrary] performChanges:^{
[PHAssetChangeRequest deleteAssets:@[assetToDelete]];
completionHandler:^(BOOL success, NSError *error) {
}];
This method pops up a dialog with Don't Allow or Delete. But some time in some iPhones not respond PHAssetChangeRequest deleteAssets method that's why that completionHandler not called because of that i can't perform any operation of PHPhotoLibrary then after.
If I restart my iPhone then it works. Many users of my app complained about this issue. I have an iPhone 11 with iOS 15.3. But some iOS 12,14,16 users also face the same issue.
So what exact issue is there? Is it related to iOS or a method?
Thanks,
Ankur
On iOS17, UIDevice.current.batteryLevel is returning values rounded to 0.05, such as 1, 0.95, 0.9. Which used to be a 1% granularity in iOS16. Is this a bug or a new feature?
Help,I have encountered a thorny problem! In systems with iOS 16.5 and above, there is a probability that the keyboard will not disappear after it appears. And once it appears, unless the app is restarted, all places where the keyboard is used cannot be closed.
I have tried using the forced shutdown method [UIView endEditing:YES], but it didn't work. When this exception occurs, I notice that there will be two UITextEffectsWindow at the same time.
Does anyone know how to solve it?
I set the location permission to Always but it changes back to “when shared” after a few days. Is this a bug?
I found an issue when implementing an alert with a TextField to input a name. I want the action button to be disabled until a name has been entered, but the action block is never executed when the button has become enabled and pressed. The problem seems to appear only when name is initially an empty string. Tested with iOS 17.0.
struct MyView: View {
@State private var name = ""
var body: some View {
SomeView()
.alert(...) {
TextField("Name", text: $name)
Button("Action") {
// Action
}.disabled(name.isEmpty)
Button("Cancel", role: .cancel) {}
}
}
}
Hello There,
I was trying to do a Button with title left aligned. With the old UIButton, I would have used the title-/contentEdgeInsets to achieve this, but with the new button these values are deprecated and do not work anymore. As far as I understood, with the new button only the spacing between the elements (sub-, title and image) is controllable. I also tried just setting the buttons width to the same width as the label, what would be possible in my case since it should be kind of a "hyperlink-button" which has no background or border. This works so far, but once the user interacts with the button, the title label gets multiline, which is on the one hand not wanted and on the other hand of course does not look left aligned anymore. (Besides the buttons height is fix in my case which leads to clipping of the title)
So here again in short: Is there any way to make the title of the new UIButton left aligned inside of the button?
Thank you very much in advance.
I am encountering an intermittent issue with WKWebView in my iOS app. The problem occurs infrequently, but when it does, the WKWebView consistently displays a white screen and remains in this state until the app is forcefully terminated and relaunched.
To provide more context, here are the key characteristics of the issue:
The white screen problem occurs sporadically and is not easily reproducible.
The WKWebView remains unresponsive despite attempts to interact with it.
Reloading the webpage or navigating to a different URL does not resolve the white screen issue.
The problem persists until the app is terminated and relaunched.
This issue is specific to the WKWebView; other components of the app function correctly.
The WKWebView renders normally, and the main document synchronously loads resources both offline and online without any issues. The bridge and JavaScript execution also work as expected.
However, when interacting with the WKWebView, it becomes unresponsive to user clicks, and the web inspector fails to respond. Additionally, asynchronous network requests also do not receive any response.
The problem occurs exclusively on HTTPS pages, whereas HTTP pages load without any issues. Other components, such as workers, function correctly.
addUserScript injection during WKWebView creation is effective, and evaluateJavaScript during the page loading process works as expected. However, when the document becomes unresponsive, executing evaluateJavaScript only triggers the callback after the WKWebView is destroyed.
I have discovered a reliable method to reproduce the white screen issue in WKWebView. This method involves the following steps and conditions:
Create a WKWebView instance.
Load an HTML page using the loadRequest method(https url request).
Before the WKWebView is attached to the UI (not yet visible to the user), call the evaluateJavaScript function.
This issue has occurred in almost all iOS versions, including the latest iOS 17.x version.
Will UVC native support come for the Iphone as well?
So, using external cameras with the ipad is greatly beneficial, but for the iphone, it can make it a production powerhouse!
So, have there been discussions around bringing UVC support for the Iphone as well? and if so, what were your conclusions?
Hi,
I've tried to find a solution for this problem for weeks now but it seems no one knows how to solve it and Apple doesn't seem to care.
I have a NavigationSplitView with two columns. In the detail column I have a button - or any other clickable control - which is placed in the very top where usually the safe area resides.
The button is NOT clickable when he is in the safe area and I have NO idea why. I know I can place buttons in safe areas of other views and they are clickable.
Please have a look at the code:
`struct NavTestView: View {
var body: some View {
GeometryReader { p in
VStack(spacing: 0) {
NavigationSplitView {
List(names) {
Text($0.name).frame(width: p.size.width)
.background(Color.green)
}.listRowSpacing(p.size.height * 0.15 / 100 )
.toolbar(.hidden, for: .navigationBar)
} detail: {
TestView().ignoresSafeArea()
}.frame(width: p.size.width, height: p.size.height, alignment: .topLeading)
.background(Color.yellow)
}
}
}
}
struct TestView: View {
var body: some View {
GeometryReader { p in
let plusButton = IconButton(imageName: "plus.circle.fill", color: Color(uiColor: ThemeColor.SeaFoam.color),
imageWidth: p.size.width * 5 / 100, buttonWidth: p.size.width * 5 / 100)
let regularAddButton = Button(action: { log.info("| Regular Add Button pressed") } ) {
plusButton
}
VStack {
regularAddButton
}.frame(width: p.size.width , height: p.size.height, alignment: .top)
.background(Color.yellow)
}
}
}
`
this code produces the following screen:
Any help would be really greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Frank
Hello everyone,
I'm encountering an issue while trying to publish an app on TestFlight. The app in question is Home Assistant, which I've compiled from the source. I am able to compile and install the app on my device without any problems. My company's developer account is properly configured, and I have set Xcode to automatically manage the provisioning profile.
The archive is also created successfully, but when I attempt to upload it to Apple Store Connect for testing via TestFlight, I receive the following error:
ERROR: [ContentDelivery.Uploader] Asset validation failed (90525) Missing Entitlement. The bundle 'Home Assistant.app/PlugIns/HomeAssistant-Extensions-PushProvider.appex' is missing entitlement 'com.apple.developer.networking.networkextension'. (ID: ceac6dcc-9c76-412e-8ea7-f2d2845f8013)
I've made several attempts to resolve this issue to no avail. For instance, if I add the missing capability manually, then I am informed that the provisioning profile is incorrect. However, checking the network extension settings on my company's dev account, I see nothing related to push notifications, which are located elsewhere. Thus, I am stuck in a loop where either the provisioning file is correct but the entitlement is missing, or if the entitlement is present, then the provisioning profile is deemed incorrect.

Hello.
Is there a good SwiftUI approach on getting the TextEditor cursor position?
I have a TextEditor and sometimes when we have a longer text inside it, the cursor is not seen because the keyboard is above covering the bottom of the TextEditor.
I would like to somehow detect the position of the cursor, and if it's on the last line of the TextEditor, scroll to the bottom. I've already checked a bit and didn't find any good method of doing this in SwiftUI.
If you have any ideas on how to do this, or even a different method any help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!
