Embedded links not clickable in PDFs for iOS devices
I have a SPFx React application where I am printing the HTML page content using the javascript default window.print() functionality. Once I save the page as pdf from the print preview window and open it using Adobe Acrobat, the links(for eg -> Google) within the content are not clickable and appearing as plain text. I have tried to print random pages post searching with any keywords in Google and saved the files as pdfs, but, unfortunately, the links are still not clickable there as well. To check whether it is an Adobe Acrobat issue, I have performed the same print functionality from Android devices and shared the pdf file across the iOS devices and in that case, when opened using Adobe Acrobat, the links are appearing to be clickable. I am wondering whether it is something related to how the default print functionality works for iPadOS and iOS devices. Any insights on this would be really helpful. Thanks!!! Note: The links are clickable for MacOS as well as for Windows. #ios #ipados #javascript #spfx #react

iOS app crash with UIKitcore - UIAlertController
I have recently submitted a new app version to the Appstore with Xcode 15.0. Unfortunately, I have started to see the below crash in the Xcode organiser > Crashes section occurring for more number of times. UIKitCore: +[UIAlertController _alertControllerContainedInViewController:] + 160 The exception trace is not leading to main() function but not pointing to any of the code line. I had used UIAlertController in the past versions to show the alerts but there is no code written in the current version code related to UIAlertController. Only from the latest version, this kind of crash started to surface. In the latest release, We have added a third party SDK and while implementing the SDK, we had added the Location and Bluetooth Permissions in Info.plist file. But as we don't want to use/track the Location and Bluetooth details from the app, the SDK team has disabled the Location and Bluetooth settings to not reflect in the tracked data. Is this behaviour creating any conflict with the UIAlertController and logging the crash? Because by default the OS tries to show the alert when the permissions exist in the plist file, but the alert will not come as the service is disabled on the SDK server settings. Is this creating any conflict and logging the crash. Please extend your help.

StoreKit.product.purchase returns success, but subscription does not appear in Settings
Description: We are developing an iOS app that offers only one auto-renewable subscription. Recently, a user who had not subscribed for over a year purchased the subscription again through our app. However, when they checked Settings > Subscriptions, the new subscription did not appear. Instead, only their past subscription history was visible, and there was no option to cancel the new subscription. We have verified this issue with a screenshot provided by the user. Additionally, we checked our app’s logs and confirmed that StoreKit.product.purchase successfully returned .success, indicating that the purchase was processed correctly. Code used for purchase: let result = try await product? .purchase(options: [ .appAccountToken(uuid) ]) switch result { case .success(let verificationResult): switch verificationResult { case .verified(let transaction): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.verified.") case .unverified(_, let verificationError): addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unverified.") case .userCancelled, .pending, .none: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.userCancelled or .pending or .none") @unknown default: addPurchaseLog("verificationResult.unknown.") } Despite the successful purchase, the new subscription does not appear under the user's active subscriptions. Could this be a bug in StoreKit? If there are any known issues or workarounds, we would appreciate any guidance. Environment: Xcode: 16.2 iOS version: 16.0+

After iOS 18.4, files are called multiple times in WKWebView
Since the transition to iOS 18.4, we have been having an issue where when loading an m3u8 file specified in the src attribute of a video tag in WKWebView, the ts file is loaded repeatedly. Are there any good ideas for this? Also, if there have been any changes to the specifications of WKWebView, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

AVPlayer freezes after ReplaceCurrentItemWithPlayerItem + immediate seek on iOS 18.4 (streaming only)
Starting in iOS 18.4, (and still in the iOS 18.5 beta), the AVPlayer seems to freeze when we: Replace the current AVPlayerItem, ReplaceCurrentItemWithPlayerItem and then: Call Seek very shortly afterwards (seekToTime:toleranceBefore:toleranceAfter: / seek(to:)) And then subsequent calls to play after have no effect. However, it feels scrubbing to see after works and also changing the playback rate (i.e. fast forward) tends to clear up the frozen state. Our primary workflow involves video playback, replacing video to show new clips and in some cases seeking to specific frames. This appears to only be occurring while streaming video, reports are all that local downloaded video playback remains fine. This same code path has worked without issue on 17.x and 18.3.2 and for years before that. What is particularly strange is that time observers log that video is still playing or feeding frames. The reported status is ReadyToPlay, IsLikelyToKeepUp is true, and there are no indications of stalling or buffering. A similar issue is true for our web application in Safari. While on Sonoma and Safari 17.x, there is no issue. When you update to macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 and Safari 18.4, you begin observing a similar freezing. The same does not occur on Chrome or other tested browsers. There appears to be in the release notes for Safari 18.4, an interesting "fix" note that seems similar to what we are now experiencing: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safari-release-notes/safari-18_4-release-notes "Fixed an issue where playback doesn’t always resume after a seek. (140097993)" "Fixed playing video generating non-monotonic ‘timeupdate’ events. (142275184) (FB16222910)" "Fixed websites calling play() during a seek() is allowed by the specification so that the play event is fired even if the seek hasn’t completed. (142517488)" "Fixed seek not completing for WebM under some circumstances. (143372794)" "Fixed MediaRecorderPrivateEncoder writing frames out of order. (143956063)"

Session cookie issue in Apple's Webkit
Dears, We are facing some issue in ios 18.4.1. Recently some of our end users who updated their ios devices to 18.4.1 have experienced random 403 errors in runtime. as per our analysis, We identified that these errors are associated with "CSRF token mismatch". After successful login, the user's CSRF token is causing issue and it was changed in runtime, this causes the cookie mismatch, and the users is getting 403 errors, and the user session is getting invalid suddenly. let me know if anyone facing the same issue in ios 18.4.1 and let me know Is there any workaround for this issue. Thanks.

Occasional Keyboard Cannot Hide in iOS16.5
Help,I have encountered a thorny problem! In systems with iOS 16.5 and above, there is a probability that the keyboard will not disappear after it appears. And once it appears, unless the app is restarted, all places where the keyboard is used cannot be closed. I have tried using the forced shutdown method [UIView endEditing:YES], but it didn't work. When this exception occurs, I notice that there will be two UITextEffectsWindow at the same time. Does anyone know how to solve it?

APNs Notifications Always Failing – 0-Byte Response
Hello, We are currently facing a persistent issue where Apple Push Notifications (APNs) are no longer being delivered to devices. This is not an intermittent problem — push notifications have completely stopped working. We are using PushSharp.Apple (Version 4.0.10.0) to send the notifications. Current Behavior (Failing): Every notification request appears to be processed successfully from the server side. Can Critical Alerts Play Sound Continuously Until User Interaction?
We are developing an app that receives push notifications (via Firebase) from configured IoT devices. It is essential that when a specific type of notification is received, a sound is played continuously until the user interacts with the notification. This behavior is crucial for alerting users to certain critical states of the IoT device. We understand that Critical Alerts on iOS can bypass Do Not Disturb and silent mode. However, from our testing and available documentation, the sound from a Critical Alert seems to be limited to around 30 seconds. Our question: Is it possible on iOS to have a Critical Alert (or any other type of notification) continue playing sound until the user interacts with the notification or app? If so, could someone please point us to the appropriate documentation or APIs? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

After Denying Local Network Permission on iOS 18, Re-granting Doesn't Allow the App to Discover Devices Over LAN for Configuration
On an iOS 18 device, after installing the application and initially denying local network permission when prompted, manually enabling this permission in the system settings does not resolve the issue. After uninstalling and reinstalling the app, although local network access is granted, the app cannot discover smart hardware devices over the local area network (LAN) or proceed with configuration. The smart hardware sends configuration data packets over the LAN, but the app fails to receive these packets. This issue persists even after another uninstall and reinstall of the app. However, rebooting the device restores normal functionality. Steps to Reproduce: Install the application on an iOS 18 device. Upon first launch, deny the request for local network permissions. Manually enable local network permissions via "Settings" > [App Name]. Uninstall and then reinstall the application. Attempt to discover and configure smart hardware devices using the app. Notice that the app fails to receive configuration data packets sent by the smart hardware over the LAN. Expected Result: The application should be able to normally receive configuration data packets from smart hardware devices over the LAN and successfully complete the configuration process after obtaining local network permissions. Actual Result: Even after being granted local network permissions, the application cannot discover devices or receive configuration data packets over the LAN unless the iPhone device is rebooted. (reinstall app and obtaining local network permissions is not work too.)

In-app purchases and Sandbox account problems
Since last week while testing our in-app purchases, I've had a lot of trouble with the sandbox account and StoreKit. I often had to wait for a minute or longer to get a response from the app store, or timed out before that. This occurs within the app but also when managing subscriptions under deverloper options -> sandbox account -> subscriptions. Here is one of the error responses: <SKPaymentQueue: 0x106ba06f0>: Payment completed with error: Error Domain=ASDErrorDomain Code=530 "(null)" UserInfo={client-environment-type=Sandbox, storefront-country-code=CHE, NSUnderlyingError=0x106922010 {Error Domain=AMSErrorDomain Code=100 "Authentication Failed The authentication failed." The task I'm trying to accomplish is change our third party verification and subscription management server. Because of this I can sadly not use StoreKit2 and the transaction manager within Xcode, which I enjoyed a lot in the past. Working with sandbox accounts is very frustrating like this and I'm not confident to release our app with new subscription management until I can properly test this. I've seen similar topics in this forum and so I want to ask: What might be the cause for these problems and when can we expect a stable verison again?

Question How Apple change version build in device when we update app from app store. is it uninstall old build and install new build ? Or it is install new version on old version ? Should UserDefaults.standard will delete on update ? Updating Provisioning profile from manual to automatically cause issue on UserDefaults.standard Like UserDefaults got cleared and uuid will change ? Do we have anythings that we can identify specific user as uniq user ? What is better solution to store login data into SQLite store or in UserDefaults as model ? Will appreciate for your help. this is very big issue and login again on update will make app user more effect

A specific mlmodelc model runs on iPhone 15, but not on iPhone 16
As we described on the title, the model that I have built completely works on iPhone 15 / A16 Bionic, on the other hand it does not run on iPhone 16 / A18 chip with the following error message. E5RT encountered an STL exception. msg = MILCompilerForANE error: failed to compile ANE model using ANEF. Error=_ANECompiler : ANECCompile() FAILED. E5RT: MILCompilerForANE error: failed to compile ANE model using ANEF. Error=_ANECompiler : ANECCompile() FAILED (11) It consumes 1.5 ~ 1.6 GB RAM on the loading the model, then the consumption is decreased to less than 100MB on the both of iPhone 15 and 16. After that, only on iPhone 16, the above error is shown on the Xcode log, the memory consumption is surged to 5 to 6GB, and the system kills the app. It works well only on iPhone 15. This model is built with the Core ML tools. Until now, I have tried the target iOS 16 to 18 and the compute units of CPU_AND_NE and ALL. But any ways have not solved this issue. Eventually, what kindof fix should I do? minimum_deployment_target = ct.target.iOS18 compute_units = ct.ComputeUnit.ALL compute_precision = ct.precision.FLOAT16

Waiting for review takes so long even after expedited approval
I did an initial app submission on April 25th. A few business days went by and it was still “waiting for review”. Since then, I‘ve called customer support a couple of times, both said they put my app on expedited review process. That doesn’t seem to have any affect at all as to this day my app is still waiting for review. Apple claims 90% of submissions gets reviewed within 48 hours, I did not think the remaining 10% could be stuck in limbo with no communication for more than a week. Even when being expedited, the app is still not being reviewed… where is the accountability? There seems to be no penalty on Apple at all for this delay without communication. Every day that goes by like this means a financial burden on my team.

New UIButton title left aligned
Hello There, I was trying to do a Button with title left aligned. With the old UIButton, I would have used the title-/contentEdgeInsets to achieve this, but with the new button these values are deprecated and do not work anymore. As far as I understood, with the new button only the spacing between the elements (sub-, title and image) is controllable. I also tried just setting the buttons width to the same width as the label, what would be possible in my case since it should be kind of a "hyperlink-button" which has no background or border. This works so far, but once the user interacts with the button, the title label gets multiline, which is on the one hand not wanted and on the other hand of course does not look left aligned anymore. (Besides the buttons height is fix in my case which leads to clipping of the title) So here again in short: Is there any way to make the title of the new UIButton left aligned inside of the button? Thank you very much in advance.

Could changes to xzone memory management in iOS 18.4 interact poorly with font rendering? Are there specific conditions that might trigger SIGTRAP in CGPathCreateMutableCopyByTransformingPath? Any recommended mitigations for text rendering while awaiting system updates?

Create Ios app using Xojo
I have created and Ios app using xojo, and run using the Xcode simulator. I want to test it on my phone and don't seed to put it on the app store as it is for personal use. I've seen pages that indicate a free apple developer option is available for a limited time but can't for the live of me get my app to actually run on my phone. I've tried both apple configurator and xcode to add my app with no luck

UserDefaults.standard was cleared and app UUDI is also changed when I update new version from app store
Facing issue of NSUserDefaults data got cleared on update new version from app store. so all data of user got cleared and user have to login again. I was having app in store with version 1.1.3 and then we have uploaded new version to store with version 1.1.4 but when user download app from store their data was cleared from UserDefaults.so this is big issue in update. need to help. is that apple updated any process on update.

SIGTRAP crash in CoreGraphics font rendering pipeline (iOS 18.4)
We're observing new crashes specifically on iOS 18.4 devices with this pattern: Exception Type: SIGTRAP Exception Codes: fault addr: 0x000000019bc0f088 Crashed Thread: 0 Thread 0 0 libsystem_malloc.dylib _xzm_xzone_malloc_from_tiny_chunk.cold.1 + 36 1 libsystem_malloc.dylib __xzm_xzone_malloc_from_tiny_chunk + 612 2 libsystem_malloc.dylib __xzm_xzone_find_and_malloc_from_tiny_chunk + 112 3 libsystem_malloc.dylib __xzm_xzone_malloc_tiny_outlined + 312 4 CoreGraphics CG::Path::Path(CG::Path const&) + 132 5 CoreGraphics _CGPathCreateMutableCopyByTransformingPath + 112 6 CoreGraphics _CGFontCreateGlyphPath + 144 7 CoreGraphics _CGGlyphBuilderLockBitmaps + 1112 8 CoreGraphics _render_glyphs + 292 9 CoreGraphics _draw_glyph_bitmaps + 1116 10 CoreGraphics _ripc_DrawGlyphs + 1464 11 CoreGraphics CG::DisplayList::executeEntries(std::__1::__wrap_iter<std::__1::shared_ptr<CG::DisplayListEntry const>*>, std::__1::__wrap_iter<std::__1::shared_ptr<CG::DisplayListEntry const>*>, CGContextDelegate*, CGRenderingState*, CGGStack*, CGRect const*, __CFDictionary const*, bool) + 1328 12 CoreGraphics _CGDisplayListDrawInContextDelegate + 340 13 QuartzCore _CABackingStoreUpdate_ + 612 14 QuartzCore ____ZN2CA5Layer8display_Ev_block_invoke + 120 15 QuartzCore -[CALayer _display] + 1512 16 QuartzCore CA::Layer::layout_and_display_if_needed(CA::Transaction*) + 420 17 QuartzCore CA::Context::commit_transaction(CA::Transaction*, double, double*) + 476 18 QuartzCore CA::Transaction::commit() + 644 19 UIKitCore ___34-[UIApplication _firstCommitBlock]_block_invoke_2 + 36 20 CoreFoundation ___CFRUNLOOP_IS_CALLING_OUT_TO_A_BLOCK__ + 28 21 CoreFoundation ___CFRunLoopDoBlocks + 352 22 CoreFoundation ___CFRunLoopRun + 868 23 CoreFoundation _CFRunLoopRunSpecific + 572 24 GraphicsServices _GSEventRunModal + 168 25 UIKitCore -[UIApplication _run] + 816 26 UIKitCore _UIApplicationMain + 336 27 app _main + 132 28 dyld __dyld_process_info_create + 33284 Key Observations: Crash occurs during font glyph path creation (CGFontCreateGlyphPath) Involves memory allocation in malloc's xzone implementation 100% reproducible on iOS 18.4, not seen in prior OS versions Occurs during standard CALayer rendering operations Not tied to any specific font family or glyph content Questions for Apple: Is this crash signature recognized as a known issue in iOS 18.4's CoreGraphics? Could changes to xzone memory management in iOS 18.4 interact poorly with font rendering? Are there specific conditions that might trigger SIGTRAP in CGPathCreateMutableCopyByTransformingPath? Any recommended mitigations for text rendering while awaiting system updates?
