An iOS app has a UINavigationController with a UINavigationBar that is non-translucent (e.g. black). When performing a push (or pop) to navigate to or from another UIViewController the UIBarButtonItems on the navigation bar are flashing a white background. With a dark navigation bar this is very noticeable and not desirable.
This only occurs when run on iOS 26 and is related to Liquid Glass
I've created FB19660024 with a minimal Xcode workspace to reproduce, along with a video showing the behavior.
This is a cosmetic bug, not affecting functionality, but is a very undesirable effect on apps with dark and non-translucent navigation bars.
Has anyone else seen this and found a workaround?

An app with a UIToolbar pinned to the bottom of a view controllers view extends to the screen edge (behind the safe area) when run on iOS 18.X but not iOS 26.
This UIToolbar is set as constrained to the safeAreaLayoutGuide with the following constraints.

I want to be able to disable all liquid glass effects from my Navigation bar, and it's bar buttons. But I still want to be able to have the liquid glass effect on my UITabbar.
Is there a way to disable glass effects from navbar and still retain them all for tabbars using UIKit?
Is there any way to ensure iOS apps we develop using Foundation Models can only be purchasable/downloadable on App Store by folks with capable devices? I would've thought there would be a Required Capabilities that App Store would hook into, but I don't seem to see it in the documentation here: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information-property-list/uirequireddevicecapabilities
The closest seems to be iphone-performance-gaming-tier as that seems to target all M1 and above chips on iPhone & iPad. There is an ipad-minimum-performance-m1 that would more reasonably seem to ensure Foundation Models is likely available, but that doesn't help with iPhone. So far, it seems the only path would be to set Minimum Deployment to iOS 26 and add iphone-performance-gaming-tier as a required capability, but I'm a bit worried that capability might diverge in the future from what's Foundation Model / Apple Intelligence capable.
While I understand for the majority of apps they'll want to just selectively add in Apple Intelligence features and so can be usable by folks whose devices don't support it, the app experience I'm building doesn't make sense without the Foundation Models being available and I'd rather not have a large number of users downloading the app to be told "Sorry, you're not Apple Intelligence capable"
I archived the app via Xcode for App Store Connect. When I upload this build to iPhone via TestFlight everything works fine, but when I send it to Apple they get a black screen. Please tell me what the problem is

I have a UIViewController that contains a UITextField I am presenting that view controller inside SwiftUI using a UIViewControllerRepresentable and I am able to interact with the text field fine and the view controller lifecycle executes normally if the representable is not presented on any SwiftUI container that internally uses a scroll view on the other hand if I put the representable view inside a SwiftUI view that has a scroll view internally (when the UIKit hierarchy is generated) the text field does not respond to interaction anymore and the only view controller lifecycle method invoked is the viewDidLoad from my view controller the other methods are not executed.
Anyone knows if this is a bug on SwiftUI or if there is any additional setup necessary for UIViewControllerRepresentables?

The minimize behavior was working correctly while I was using Xcode 26 beta 4 with iOS 26 beta 4 simulator — when scrolling down, the Tab Bar would minimize as expected.
However, after upgrading both Xcode and iOS simulator to beta 5, the tabBarMinimizeBehavior setting no longer has any visible effect — the Tab Bar stays fixed in place.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a UITabBarController with at least one tab containing a scrollable view (e.g., UITableView).
2. In viewDidLoad, set tabBarMinimizeBehavior to .onScrollDown.
3. Run on iOS 26 beta 5 simulator.
Expected behavior (beta 4):
Scrolling down hides/minimizes the Tab Bar with animation.
Actual behavior (beta 5):
Tab Bar remains fixed; no minimize animation is triggered.
Environment:
• Xcode 26 beta 5 (Build: 17A5295f)
• iOS 26 beta 5 simulator (Build: 1055) – iPhone 16 Pro

I'm trying to figure out how to replicate the following behavior for our app:
The system is able to ascertain that the Mac equivalent of some iOS app is installed locally, and it prevents notifications from being mirrored. However, I am unable to determine how this association is inferred. When I check our iOS app under this prefpane, the switch remains enabled and toggleable—we'd like to act like Slack here.
My initial assumption is that an app group containing both the Mac and iOS apps can be used to create the association; however, I would like to confirm that this is indeed the case before doing so. I'm not terribly confident about this.
Details:
The bundle identifiers of both apps do not match. This also applies to Slack; its iOS app is com.tinyspeck.chatlyio while its Mac app is com.tinyspeck.slackmacgap.
In our case, the iOS app's identifier is like com.company.app while the Mac app's identifier is com.company.app.desktop.
Both apps are signed with certificates that have matching team identifiers. The com.apple.developer.team-identifier entitlement is present on the Mac app.
The Mac app shares a keychain access group with the iOS app.
The Mac app is not sandboxed.
The Mac app is an Electron app.
The Mac app does not use APNs. It sends notifications "locally".
I currently only have the iOS app installed on my iPhone via TestFlight, if that matters.
Notification mirroring does work, but we'd like to forcibly disable this by associating the apps together.
To my knowledge, the iOS app makes use of both a UNNotificationServiceExtension and a UNNotificationContentExtension.
The iOS app currently doesn't have an assigned category (at least in Xcode). The Mac app is currently miscategorized as a developer tool (LSApplicationCategoryType = "public.app-category.developer-tools";), but that should be fixed.

CFBundleDisplayName = App;
CFBundleExecutable = "App Desktop";
CFBundleName = App;
Note that our CFBundleExecutable differs from the bundle's display name/name because we're currently migrating our users to a new version of the app that they'd likely want to live alongside the new one. The filename of the bundle itself is, similarly, App Desktop.app.
For the iOS app, to my knowledge, the CFBundleName and CFBundleDisplayName are App.

I’ve run into an issue with a configuration profile on my supervised iPhone. I’m wondering if anyone here might be able to help?
The profile contains the allowListedAppBundleIDs key within the restrictions payload. My Apple Watch is paired with the iPhone. The iPhone was supervised manually with Apple Configurator, hence the Apple Watch has not been directly supervised itself.
The profile works completely as expected when installed on the phone. As soon as the profile is installed on the iPhone, I can witness the apps on the Apple Watch rearrange themselves as some apps are hidden. So clearly the profile is applying its restrictions to the Apple Watch to some degree.
My issue however is that apps listed in the whitelist are hidden from the Watch. The apps that are missing from my Watch are Walkie Talkie, Find My Items, Find My Friends, Messages, Alarm, Remote, Now Playing, Sleep, Meditation and Heart Rate. This is despite the following bundle IDs being listed in the whitelist array: com.apple.findmy.findpeople, com.apple.findmy.finddevices, com.apple.HeartRate, com.apple.SessionTrackerApp, com.apple.NanoWorldClock, com.apple.findmy.finditems, com.apple.Mind, com.apple.NanoOxygenSaturation, com.apple.watchmemojieditor com.apple.NanoSleep com.apple.NanoNowPlaying com.apple.noise com.apple.tincan com.apple.NanoRemote com.apple.NanoAlarm com.apple.private.NanoTimer com.apple.NanoStopwatch
I’ve done some testing, but not sure what I’ve found really. I’ve so far identified 3 scenarios.
Scenario 1: I have the whitelist profile installed on the iPhone. I download an app that appears in the whitelist from my watch (or at least its iPhone version does). The apps show up on the iPhone automatically and can be launched there. These apps cannot be launched on the watch.
Scenario 2: I downloaded a few apps to my watch, that didn’t automatically install on my iPhone at the same time. They were on the whitelist. These ones couldn’t be launched from my Watch. I then downloaded them to the iPhone and they could be launched there (since they were on the whitelist).
Scenario 3: A couple of 3rd party apps on the whitelist could be downloaded and launched from the watch with the whitelist installed.
It seems as though there are different kinds of Apple Watch app and this is what I’ve read elsewhere. First of all there are Watch-only apps, which do not automatically install a companion iPhone app. Secondly there are companion apps, which when installed from the Watch App Store download their companion app to the iPhone in the background. Someone please correct me - I’m bound to be overlooking something here.
So maybe the apps that when installed from Watch automatically install on iPhone and can only be launched from the iPhone have a separate bundle ID for their Watch app which I haven’t included?

However, I’m still not sure why many stock Apple Watch apps are missing from the Watch…. The most obvious answer is that I’ve got their Bundle IDs wrong, but I don’t think I have given I extracted the bundle IDs from the App Store pages of the Apple WatchOS apps.
I noticed at this Apple Support page (https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/dep34c5cd30f/1/web/1.0) that there is no mention of whitelisting or blacklisting apps on WatchOS using MDM, yet something definitely happens on the watch when the configuration profile is installed on the iPhone. Furthermore, if I tap on a configuration profile, which comprises a blacklist, on my iPhone it will ask me if I want to install it on the iPhone or Watch. The same pop-up question doesn’t happen when the profile contains a whitelist.
All this to say, I’m massively confused as to why I can’t get this working. I’d really appreciate anyone’s advice which is bound to be expert.

Recently, my application was having trouble sending udp messages after it was reinstalled. The cause of the problem was initially that I did not grant local network permissions when I reinstalled, I was aware of the problem, so udp worked fine after I granted permissions. However, the next time I repeat the previous operation, I also do not grant local network permissions, and then turn it back on in the Settings, and udp does not work properly (no messages can be sent, the system version and code have not changed).
Fortunately, udp worked after rebooting the phone, and more importantly, I was able to repeat the problem many times.
So I want to know if the process between when I re-uninstall the app and deny local network permissions, and when I turn it back on in Settings, is that permissions have been granted normally, and not fake, and not required a reboot to reset something for udp to take effect.
I'm not sure if it's the system, or if it's a similar situation as described here, hopefully that will help me find out
I'm an iOS developer, and I've been testing our app in iOS 18.0 Beta. I noticed that there's a problem with the font rendering, and after troubleshooting, I've found out that it's caused by the removal of the PingFang.ttc font in 18.0.
I would like to ask the reason for removing this font file and which font should be used to display Chinese in the future?
My test device is an iPhone 11 Pro and the system version is iOS 18.0 (22A5297). I have also tested Beta 1 and it has the same issue.
In previous versions of the system, the PingFang font is located in this directory /System/Library/Fonts/LanguageSupport/PingFang.ttc. But in iOS 18.0, the font file in this directory has become Kohinoor.ttc, and I've tested that this font can't display Chinese either.
I traversed the following system font directories and could not find the PingFang.ttc font file.

I would like to share an issue observed during app development.
When changing Bluetooth settings from the system Settings app without using multitasking, the app does not terminate but instead logs the user out.
However, when changing Bluetooth settings while using multitasking, the app terminates completely.
In this context, I would like to understand:
Whether there is any system behavior that causes the app to refresh or restart when Bluetooth settings are changed
And why the app behavior differs in a multitasking environment, particularly in terms of app lifecycle handling
Any insights into these behaviors would be greatly appreciated.
I have ios UI tests that are build with command

With xcode 16.4 tests were retried on failure up to 3 times, but migrating to xcode 26.2 seems to change this behavior and tests are no longer retried. Is it expected behaviour and I should manually add params like -test-iterations 3 -retry-tests-on-failure into xcodebuild test-without-building command?

In this WWDC talk about liquid glass https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2025/219/ they mention that there are two variants of liquid glass, regular and clear.
I don't see any way to try the clear variant using the .glassEffect() APIs, they only expose regular, is there some other way to try the clear variant?
With the new ios 26 beta 3 helps some stabillty and performance issues but most of the liquid glass has been removed or made very frosty look; and it defeats the whole purpose of a big redesign, and even thought the changes are because of readability and contrast complaints it should not take away liquid glass design. I think apple should consider adding a toggle or choice to choose if they would want a more frosted look or a more liquid glass look the the original plan.
We are trying to write an iOS app that supports regular and constrained widths using a TabView with .tabViewStyle(.sidebarAdaptable). On the surface this seems like a great way to write an app that supports all the different widths that your app may run in. Especially since Stage Manager and Apple Vision have made it easy for users to resize your apps window while it is running.
We are facing many challenges though. I will give a brief one liner of each below, but to truly experience them you need to run the sample app, or watch the sample videos included.

Hi, everyone
I have an app already in production that uses SwiftUI's lifecycle (paired with an AppDelegate). Due to some specific behaviour of the app, we decided to migrate the app to use UIKit's lifecycle, adding the corresponding SceneDelegate to the app, as well as modifying the Info.plist file accordingly to accommodate to these new changes.
Although everything seems to work when installing the app from zero, when installing it on top of another version, the screen goes black and the user cannot interact with the app at all unless they reinstall it completely. As I've read online, iOS is reusing the window configuration from the previous execution of the app. I know this because the AppDelegate's application(application:connectingSceneSession:options) is not being called when coming from a previous version of the app.
I would love to know what can I do to make this work because, as you may understand, we cannot ask our user base to reinstall the application.

Ever since the new PLA I have issues with adding my entitlements to my profiles. Previously when adding an entitlement I used the format [entitlementName] [AppId] [type] e.g.
Apple Pay Pass Suppression [AppId] Development
However ever since the new PLA I get an warning in my terminal that the template name is not supported by the App Store Connect API.
Anyone that can help me out with the new format? I cant seem to find any helpful documentation online.

Currently we want to have enhancement for SMS OTP that we want to implement OTP Autofill, But after do some research we're stuck with option that the OTP only show in keyboard suggestion, is there any way for making OTP is automatically filled without user have to click the keyboard suggestion when receiving the SMS.
