@state update not reflecting on UI.
I’m facing an issue in our native iOS app that occurs specifically on iOS 26.1 (not observed on any lower versions). When I update a @State field value, the UI does not reflect the change as expected. The @State variable updates internally, but the view does not re-render. This behaviour started after upgrading to iOS 26.1. Works fine on iOS 26.0 and earlier versions. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

connect() iOS 18.5 Developer Beta (22EF5042g)
Hello! 👋 I am noticing new failures in the iOS 18.5 Developer Beta build (22EF5042g) when calling the system call connect() (from C++ source, in network extension). When using cell/mobile data (Mint & T-Mobile) this returns with EINTR (interrupted system call) right away. When I switch over to wifi, everything works fine. Note: I have not tested on other mobile carriers; which could make a difference since T-Mobile/Mint are IPv6 networks. FWIW, this is working in the previous developer beta (18.4). Anyone have any ideas?

Xcode26 build app with iOS26, UITabBarController set CustomTabBar issue
Our project using UITabBarController and set a custom tabbar using below code: let customTabBar = CustomTabBar(with: dataSource) setValue(customTabBar, forKey: "tabBar") But when using Xcode 26 build app in iOS 26, the tabbar does not show: above code works well in iOS 18: below is the demo code: AppDelegate.swift: import UIKit @main class AppDelegate: UIResponder, UIApplicationDelegate { let window: UIWindow = UIWindow() func application(_ application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [UIApplication.LaunchOptionsKey: Any]?) -> Bool { window.rootViewController = TabBarViewController() window.makeKeyAndVisible() return true } } CustomTabBar.swift: import UIKit class CustomTabBar: UITabBar { class TabBarModel { let title: String let icon: UIImage? How are we going to solve this problem? Thank you.

iPhone 17(iOS26) Unable to join the Wi-Fi(TKIP)
Device: iPhone 17 Series System: iOS 26.0.0 Wi-Fi: TKIP encryption protocol Question: Unable to join the network We have several products that are used by connecting to iPhone via Wi-Fi. Recently, many customers who have purchased the iPhone 17 series have reported that they are unable to connect to Wi-Fi. For Wi-Fi with TKIP encryption, after entering the password correctly to connect to the Wi-Fi, a pop-up appears stating "Unable to join the network.". Only Wi-Fi with WPA2-AES can be used normally. Before that, during the iPhone 11 era or even earlier, the TKIP encryption method was in normal use. However, the new iPhone models were incompatible with it, which obviously caused great inconvenience. I hope the engineers can fix this issue to support Wi-Fi with older encryption protocols.

iOS App udp and local network permission
Recently, my application was having trouble sending udp messages after it was reinstalled. The cause of the problem was initially that I did not grant local network permissions when I reinstalled, I was aware of the problem, so udp worked fine after I granted permissions. However, the next time I repeat the previous operation, I also do not grant local network permissions, and then turn it back on in the Settings, and udp does not work properly (no messages can be sent, the system version and code have not changed). Fortunately, udp worked after rebooting the phone, and more importantly, I was able to repeat the problem many times. So I want to know if the process between when I re-uninstall the app and deny local network permissions, and when I turn it back on in Settings, is that permissions have been granted normally, and not fake, and not required a reboot to reset something for udp to take effect. I'm not sure if it's the system, or if it's a similar situation as described here, hopefully that will help me find out

Liquid Glass clear variant
In this WWDC talk about liquid glass https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2025/219/ they mention that there are two variants of liquid glass, regular and clear. I don't see any way to try the clear variant using the .glassEffect() APIs, they only expose regular, is there some other way to try the clear variant?

iOS 12.5.8 fails to bootstrap app
Hello, I released a new build for my app but it fails to run on iOS 12.5.8 (tested on iPad Air, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s). The launch storybard is shown, then the app stops abruptly. There is no crash log. It runs fine on iOS 13 or higher. Xcode 26.3 was showing a call stack (something with UIView) that did not include any app code. Now with Xcode 26.4 (and its new command line tools) there is an info popup with a debug metadata dump. However, I don’t intend to focus on Xcode here because it officially does not support iOS 12. It’s ok if I cannot debug, I just want the app to run on the device like the previous build did. Since there is no crash log, and the console is showing a bootstrap error, I believe my app code has not been executed and is therefore not at fault. Build 674 released on 23-Mar-2026: worked fine on iOS 12, built with Xcode 26.3 Build 675 released on 29-Mar-2026: Bootstrap error as described, with both Xcode 26.3 and 26.4 Deployment target = 12.4 Tried Instruments but it fails as soon as I hit record. In the console I found BKSProcessErrorDomain code 1. Here on the forum I found a post where the cause was no internet access but my device does have internet access. I made only very little code changes to my app between 674 and 675, no storyboard updates. I get the impression the loader does not even begin to execute my code. At this point I wonder if: some certificate has expired (see release dates above), or if something is incompatible in my main storyboard (though I did not change anything there), or the device ran out of memory (1 GB) Note: The app has 4 targets: main app target framework AU app extension intents app extension Thanks, Sven PS: Misclicked subtopic which should have been General (sorry). Why are system reserved files consuming half of my storage?
I am constantly running out of storage on my iPhone 16 Pro. I keep having to move my photos and videos to my laptop and delete them from my phone, and I’m constantly needing to offload apps and manually clear caches in some apps to free up storage. I finally got sick of having this cycle every two weeks so looked into it more closely. I’m finding that iOS consumes 32 GB, and then another system reserve category is consuming an additional 23 GB. Meaning the system reserved files are consuming half of the storage on this phone and effectively making it a 64 GB model. I understand the system will need to consume some capacity for itself and that iOS is getting larger, but nearly 50% of the capacity of the phone is insane. Looking closer into the categories, I’m seeing that iOS has taken it upon itself to also permanently provision 10% of the storage capacity for reserve update space. Already another instance of “why am I having to lose so much of my functional capacity to an occasional process?” but I can understand the utility of this — if I didn’t still have to offload basically all my apps every single time I run a software update, because I’m still some not-insignificant amount short. I seem to recall it being between 6-20 GB across the different updates I’ve had to do since iOS 26 rolled around. I’d also like to be clear that preprovisioning the storage space for updates isn’t a bad idea, just give us an off switch if we’d rather be able to take a few hundred more photos, have another few apps, etc. than have the space sit mostly unused. The biggest culprit is this “system data” category which is somehow consuming as much space as the entire operating system and its extensions. There’s no clear way to request iOS to clear this down if some of it is temporary data, which we should have a button for even if Apple thinks it should “just work.” Windows usually trims down on its temp files, but on the occasion you go look and see 67 GB of temporary files, being able to manually run the disk cleanup tool is very helpful. I’m hesitant to try any third party app because I shouldn’t need to, and knowing Apple, it wouldn’t have access to anything it would actually have to touch anyway. Which is neither here nor there, but give us a button to clear cache or maybe run the cleanup when the phone reboots? I am running the developer beta right now so maybe that’s part of it. However I’m not sure… I had switched to mainline release for a while when it released, and it didn’t seem any different with storage consumption and battery drain. I jumped back to beta to see some of the new features and am waiting for another mainline release to switch back to as the recent betas have been much more unstable/buggy than the entire prerelease beta period. Just wondering if anyone has any kind of input on this storage issue in particular as it’s not really been talked about as much as the battery drain issue from what I can see.

Create Ios app using Xojo
I have created and Ios app using xojo, and run using the Xcode simulator. I want to test it on my phone and don't seed to put it on the app store as it is for personal use. I've seen pages that indicate a free apple developer option is available for a limited time but can't for the live of me get my app to actually run on my phone. I've tried both apple configurator and xcode to add my app with no luck

Inquiry regarding Local Push Connectivity Entitlement
Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for your support. I have reviewed the documentation for Local Push Connectivity (see URL below) and, following the instruction in the "Important" section to "Request this entitlement from the Entitlement Request Page," I completed the application process for this Entitlement on March 11, 2026. [Local push connectivity] https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/local-push-connectivity?language=objc#Supporting-APNs-and-local-push-connectivity-in-one-app Subsequently, on March 13, 2026, I received the following reply from Apple: Sub : Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement From: Local Push Review Sent: Friday, March 13, 2026 4:09 AM Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Local Push Connectivity entitlement. Your entitlement request has been approved for: Team ID: NWKYYYYYYY Technical documentation on this API is available here: -(Omission) - Best Regards, Apple Developer Relations My understanding is that upon approval of this application, an "Entitlements" field should be added to the input fields for creating provisioning profiles. However, as of today(March 18, 2026), it has not yet been added. Will the Entitlements field be added if I simply wait? My account (Apple ID), which submitted the application, belongs to three Team IDs. For convenience, I will refer to them as Team ID SV3XXXXXXX, Team ID NWKYYYYYYY, and Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ. The application status for Entitlements for each Team ID is as follows: Team ID SV3XXXXXXX Entitlements: Present. Applied for Entitlements on February 6, 2021. (Received "Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement" email on February 6, 2021) Team ID NWKYYYYYYY Entitlements: Not present. Applied for Entitlements on March 13, 2026. (Received "Re: Requesting Network Extension App Push Entitlement" email on March 13, 2026) Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ Entitlements: Present. No record (email) of applying for Entitlements. Because of this, I am concerned that the Entitlements applied for Team ID NWKYYYYYYY may have been mistakenly granted to Team ID WEJZZZZZZZ, and I am inquiring about this. Will the Entitlements field for Team ID NWKYYYYYYY be added if I simply wait? Thank you in advance.

[iOS 26 beta] Unexpected Behavior: didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken Invoked Before User Notification Authorization on iOS 26 Beta
I'm encountering an issue with our legacy Objective-C codebase that uses UIApplicationDelegate. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue: Uninstall the application from the device. Install and launch the application. As part of the launch event, the client requests notification permission. The permission prompt is still displayed, even though the client receives a remote notification token (which appears to be a cached one). I followed the same steps with a sample app built with Swift (SwiftUI), and this issue did not occur. In the Swift app, I consistently received a delegate<didRegisterForRemoteNotificationsWithDeviceToken> call after the user allowed the notification permission. Could you please provide some insights into why this might be happening with only our client?

iOS 26: Unable to Transition from CallKit Screen to App when remoteHandle is nil or empty string
Hello, I am developing an internal phone application using CallKit. I am experiencing an issue with the behavior of remoteHandle settings in iOS 26 and would appreciate any insights you can provide towards a solution. 1. Problem Description When an iPhone running iOS 26 is in a sleep state and receives a VoIP incoming call where remoteHandle is set to nil or an empty string (@""), we are unable to transition to our application (the UIExtension provided by the provider) from the CallKit UI's "More" (…) button after answering the call. 2. Conditions and Symptoms OS Version: iOS 26 Initial State: iPhone is in a sleep state Call Type: An unsolicited(unknown number) VoIP incoming call where the CXCallUpdate's remoteHandle is set to either nil or [[CXHandle alloc] initWithType:CXHandleTypePhoneNumber value:@""] Symptoms: After answering the VoIP call by sliding the button, selecting the "More" (…) button displayed on the CallKit screen does not launch our application's UIExtension (custom UI), and the iPhone instead stay to the CallKit screen. 3. Previous Behavior (Up to iOS 18) Up to iOS 18, even when remoteHandle was set to an empty string using the following code, the application would transition normally from "More" after answering an incoming call from a sleep state. CXCallUpdate *update = [[CXCallUpdate alloc] init]; update.remoteHandle = [[CXHandle alloc] initWithType:CXHandleTypePhoneNumber value:@""]; [provider reportNewIncomingCallWithUUID:uuid update:update completion:completion]; 4. Unsuccessful Attempts to Resolve The issue remained unresolved after changing the handling for unsolicited(unknown number) incoming calls as follows: CXCallUpdate *update = [[CXCallUpdate alloc] init]; update.remoteHandle = nil; // Set remoteHandle to nil [provider reportNewIncomingCallWithUUID:uuid update:update completion:completion]; 5. Workaround (Temporary) The problem can be resolved, and the application can transition successfully, by setting a dummy numerical value (e.g., "0") for the value in remoteHandle using the following code: CXCallUpdate *update = [[CXCallUpdate alloc] init]; update.remoteHandle = [[CXHandle alloc] initWithType:CXHandleTypePhoneNumber value:@"0"]; // Set a dummy numerical value [provider reportNewIncomingCallWithUUID:uuid update:update completion:completion]; 6. Additional Information If remoteHandle is correctly set with the caller's number (i.e., not an unsolicited(unknown number) call; e.g., value:@"1234567890"), the application transitions normally from the "More" button after answering an incoming call from a sleep state, even in iOS 26. The above issue does not occur when answering incoming calls while the iPhone is in an active state (not sleeping). 7. Questions Have there been any other reports of similar behavior? Should this be considered a bug in CallKit for iOS 26? Should I make file a new Feedback report? Is there a suitable method to resolve this issue when the caller ID is unsolicited (nil or an empty string)? This problem significantly impacts user operations as end-users are unable to perform essential in-app actions such as hold or transfer after answering an unsolicited(unknown number) call from a sleep state. We are eager to find an urgent solution and would appreciate any information or advice you can provide. Thank you for your assistance.

CallKit requestTransaction error code 2
Hello, In production, a large number of users experience outgoing call reporting fails with the following error: com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction Code=2 The iOS version doesn't matter, errors are present in v15-26 Details My CXProvider held as a global singleton, so it’s unlikely to be deinited. There is no explicit call to CXProvider.invalidate() in the app. If I manually invalidate the CXProvider, I observe the expected failure when trying to create an outgoing call (com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction error 2). However, If I recreate the CXProvider after the error, outgoing calls are reported correctly. Many users trigger the providerDidReset delegate method (CXProviderDelegate) before this error. According to the documentation, providerDidReset can be called by the system, and we are supposed to end all active calls, but the documentation doesn't suggest recreating the CXProvider. Question Should I recreate CXProvider after providerDidReset and forget about that, or could this error be caused by something else?

iOS 26 Download Link is Broken
I'm trying to download the iOS 26 restore image for my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is my test device. However, when I attempted to install it directly via the over-the-air (OTA) update, the iPhone rebooted to the iOS 26 "Welcome" screen, but with no touch functionality—the screen was completely unresponsive. I restored the device back to iOS 18.5 and tried the OTA update again, but once more, the touch screen stopped working upon completion. Now, I am trying to download the iOS 26 restore image from the official developer page (https://developer.apple.com/download/#ios-restore-images-ipad-new) to install it manually using my Mac. However, I've run into a problem with the download links: The link for the iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 26) restore image actually downloads the iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 18.5) image. Conversely, the link for the iPhone 14 Pro seems to provide the correct iPhone 14 Pro Max (iOS 26) image. The issue is that when I try to restore my iPhone using this seemingly correct file, I receive an error that the firmware file is not valid or compatible. I suspect it's not being properly signed by Apple for my device during the restore process. Does anyone have the correct, official download link for the iOS 26 restore image for the iPhone 14 Pro Max? How can I fix these errors?

Does Live Caller ID Lookup entirely replace Call SIP content, or are they ever combined?
If an iPhone receives an incoming call with some partial sip content (for example it contains a name but not an image, or vice versa) and if there is an app enabled for Live Caller ID Lookup, and the result of that lookup supplies data not in the sip (i.e. the lookup returns an image, but not a name, or vice versa). Then could the OS combine data from both sources, or is whatever is returned from the LCIDL what gets displayed in the call screen. I suppose that is the case but just want to enquire to make sure. Thank you

Incorrect color for inline navigation bar title when dark mode AND reduce transparency ON.
I reproduced this in iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro simulators running iOS 26.0 import SwiftUI struct ContentView: View { var body: some View { NavigationStack { ScrollView { VStack { ForEach(0..<100) { i in Text("Row \(i)") .frame(maxWidth: .infinity) } } .padding() } .navigationTitle("Toolbar Test") .navigationBarTitleDisplayMode(.inline) // or .automatic } } } Run this code in a vanilla SwiftUI app. Toggle the appearance to dark mode. In the simulator's Settings app -> Accessibility -> Display and Text Size. Turn ON "Reduce Transparency". Go back to the app and start scrolling if you need to. You can observe that the title is unreadable - black text on a black navigation bar.

iOS 26 navigationTransition .zoom issue
When I dismiss a view presented with .navigationTransition(.zoom), the source view gets a weird background (black or white depending on the appearance) for a couple of seconds, and then it disappears. Here’s a simple code example. import SwiftUI struct NavigationTransition: View { @Namespace private var namespace @State private var isSecondViewPresented = false var body: some View { NavigationStack { ZStack { DetailView(namespace: namespace) .onTapGesture { isSecondViewPresented = true } } .fullScreenCover(isPresented: $isSecondViewPresented) { SecondView() .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "world", in: namespace)) } } } } struct DetailView: View { var namespace: Namespace.ID var body: some View { ZStack { Color.blue Text("Hello World!") .foregroundStyle(.white) .matchedTransitionSource(id: "world", in: namespace) } .ignoresSafeArea() } } struct SecondView: View { var body: some View { ZStack { Color.green Image(systemName: "globe") .foregroundStyle(Color.red) } .ignoresSafeArea() } } #Preview { NavigationTransition() }

When I dismiss a view presented with .navigationTransition(.zoom), the source view gets a weird background (black or white depending on the appearance) for a couple of seconds, and then it disappears. Here’s a simple code example. import SwiftUI struct NavigationTransition: View { @Namespace private var namespace @State private var isSecondViewPresented = false var body: some View { NavigationStack { ZStack { DetailView(namespace: namespace) .onTapGesture { isSecondViewPresented = true } } .fullScreenCover(isPresented: $isSecondViewPresented) { SecondView() .navigationTransition(.zoom(sourceID: "world", in: namespace)) } } } } struct DetailView: View { var namespace: Namespace.ID var body: some View { ZStack { Color.blue Text("Hello World!") .foregroundStyle(.white) .matchedTransitionSource(id: "world", in: namespace) } .ignoresSafeArea() } } struct SecondView: View { var body: some View { ZStack { Color.green Image(systemName: "globe") .foregroundStyle(Color.red) } .ignoresSafeArea() } } #Preview { NavigationTransition() }
