Device-Specific Instant Crash on Post-Login in Production iOS App (App Store Distribution)
Hi all, I’m facing a device-specific issue in a live production iOS app distributed privately via the App Store . The app crashes immediately after login on one client’s iPhone, while the same account works fine on other devices. There’s no crash log generated in Analytics, and the app just pops to the home screen. Environment: App: Production app on App Store iOS version: 26.3 Devices: Only one device exhibits the crash; other iPhones work fine Login flow: App calls an API and writes the response to a local SQLite database immediately after login Distribution: App Store (Privately). The user is install via the redemption codes. Observations: All users on the problematic device crash immediately after login. The crash does not occur on any other devices, including the same iOS version. The client had already uninstalled and reinstalled the app via App Store cloud download, but the crash persisted. No crash log appears in Analytics or Xcode (process just terminates). Device restart had not been attempted before reinstall. App does not use Keychain tokens; local DB is only SQLite in the app sandbox. Hypotheses so far: Corrupted binary or cached app installation on that device SQLite database corruption or write failure Device-specific OS/environment issue (temp files, file locks, provisioning) iOS watchdog silently terminating the app during post-login DB write Language / region differences unlikely Questions: Is it possible for a device to retain a corrupted app binary or cached installation even after uninstall + cloud download reinstall from the App Store? Can uninstalling, restarting the device, and reinstalling guarantee a fresh binary and sandbox? Are there any known iOS behaviors where a local SQLite write could trigger an instant crash on one device only, without generating crash logs? Any other suggestions for diagnosing this device-specific post-login crash in a live production environment? Thanks in advance for any guidance — this issue is affecting a client’s live usage, and we’d like to understand the root cause and best way to resolve it safely.

Pending Termination Appeals Process doesn't work
The appeals process for when your Apple Developer account is in Pending Termination status doesn't work. The re-instate developer account form is very clear it shouldn't be used if it's pending. But the form for "I would like to appeal an app rejection or app removal" which is the correct form for pending state. Gives the error "There are no apps associated with this team." we do have apps associated. UIInputView not being deallocated
I am experiencing memory leaks in my iOS app that seem to be related to an issue between UIInputView and _UIInputViewContent. After using the memory graph, I'm seeing that instances of these objects aren't being deallocated properly. The UIInputViewController whichs holds the inputView is being deallocated properly along with its subviews.I have tried to remove all of UIInputViewController's subviews and their functions but the uiInputView is not being deallocated. I Need Developer Help
Hello, I have created an app in Emergent that I am trying to set up on the app store, but I am lost. As you might expect, I am new at this. I know this app is a winner. It's all about productivity. I can't pay, but I am willing to share the rights to the app with the person that helps me get it going. I would also like to put in in Android, so if you can help there it would be even better.

External Keyboard DatePicker Issues
I am currently trying to get my app ready for full external keyboard support, while testing I found an issue with the native DatePicker. Whenever I enter the DatePicker with an external keyboard it only jumps to the time picker and I am not able to move away from it. Arrow keys don't work, tab and control + tab only move me to the toolbar and back. This is how they look like private var datePicker: some View { DatePicker( "", selection: date, in: minDate..., displayedComponents: [.date] ) .fixedSize() .accessibilityIdentifier("\(datePickerLabel).DatePicker") } private var timePicker: some View { DatePicker( "", selection: date, in: minDate..., displayedComponents: [.hourAndMinute] ) .fixedSize() .accessibilityIdentifier("\(datePickerLabel).TimePicker") } private var datePickerLabelView: some View { Text(datePickerLabel.localizedString) .accessibilityIdentifier(datePickerLabel) } And we implement it like this in the view: HStack { datePickerLabelView Spacer() datePicker timePicker } Does anyone know how to fix this behavior? Is it our fault or is it the system? The issue comes up both in iOS 18 and 26.

App Rejected – iPhone-Only App Using SIM Binding (SMS) Being Tested on iPad
We are facing an issue with App Store review and would appreciate some guidance. Our application is designed strictly for iPhone devices only. The app includes a SIM binding mechanism that requires sending an SMS from the registered mobile number for device verification. This functionality depends on the physical SIM capabilities available only on iPhone devices. However, during the review process, Apple is testing the app on an iPad device. Since iPads generally do not support sending SMS from a physical SIM (especially Wi-Fi models), the SIM binding process fails, which is resulting in app rejection. We have: Configured the app deployment target for iPhone only. Set the device family to iPhone in Xcode. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

QR code scan deeplink not work in XCode test run?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out what is true here - if I am not in the correct forum please direct me :-) A. It is not possible to test a QR code scan that contains a deeplink into my iOS app from an XCoode build test run. In other words, The build must be published to Test Flight for the iOS's QR code scan sub-system to be able to process the deeplink into my app? If I am wrong about this, it sure would help with testing to be able to test directly from the local XCode build test. If so, can someone point me in the direction of what I would need to do for that? Thanks for your input either way!

ML contraints & Timeout clarificaitions for Message Filtering Extension
Hello everyone, I’m currently working with the Message Filtering Extension and would really appreciate some clarification around its performance and operational constraints. While the extension is extremely powerful and useful, I’ve found that some important details are either unclear or not well covered in the available documentation. There are two main areas I’m trying to understand better: Machine learning model constraints within the extension In our case, we already have an existing ML model that classifies messages (and are not dependant on Apple's built-in models). We’re evaluating whether and how it can be used inside the extension. Specifically, I’m trying to understand: Are there documented limits on the size of an ML model (e.g., maximum bundle size or model file size in MB)? What are the memory constraints for a model once loaded into memory by the extension? Under what conditions would the system terminate or “kick out” the extension due to memory or performance pressure? Message processing timeouts and execution constraints What is the timeout for processing a single received message? At what point will the OS stop waiting for the extension’s response and allow the message by default (for example, if the extension does not respond in time)? Any guidance, official references, or practical experience from Apple engineers or other developers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help,

gesture(LongPressGesture()) issue with scroll view
I've being playing aground with long press gesture in scroll view and noticed gesture(LongPressGesture()) doesn't seem to work with scroll view's scrolling which doesn't seem to be the intended behavior to me. Take the following example: the blue rectangle is modified with onLongPressGesture and the red rectangle is modified with LongPressGesture (_EndedGesture<LongPressGesture> to be specific). ScrollView { Rectangle() .fill(.blue) .frame(width: 200, height: 200) .onLongPressGesture { print("onLongPressGesture performed") } onPressingChanged: { _ in print("onLongPressGesture changed") } .overlay { Text("onLongPressGesture") } Rectangle() .fill(.red) .frame(width: 200, height: 200) .gesture(LongPressGesture() .onEnded { _ in print("gesture ended") }) .overlay { Text("gesture(LongPressGesture)") } } If you start scrolling from either of the rectangles (that is, start scrolling with your finger on either of the rectangles), the ScrollView will scroll. However, if LongPressGesture is modified with either onChanged or .updating, ScrollView won't respond to scroll if the scroll is started from red rectangle. Even setting the maximumDistance to 0 won't help. As for its counter part onLongPressGesture, even though onPressingChanged to onLongPressGesture, scrolling still works if it's started from onLongPressGesture modified view. ScrollView { Rectangle() .fill(.blue) .frame(width: 200, height: 200) .onLongPressGesture { print("onLongPressGesture performed") } onPressingChanged: { _ in print("onLongPressGesture changed") } .overlay { Text("onLongPressGesture") } Rectangle() .fill(.red) .frame(width: 200, height: 200) .gesture(LongPressGesture(maximumDistance: 0) // scroll from the red rectangle won't work if I add either `updating` or `onChanged` but I put both here just to demonstrate // you will need to add `@GestureState private var isPressing = false` to your view body .updating($isPressing) { value, state, transaction in state = value print("gesture updating") } .onChanged { value in print("gesture changed") } .onEnded { _ in print("gesture ended") }) .overlay { Text("gesture(LongPressGesture)") } } This doesn't seem right to me. I would expect the view modified by LongPressGesture(), no matter if the gesture has onChanged or updating, should be able to start scroll in a scroll view, just like onLongPressGesture. I observed this behavior in a physical device running iOS 26.1, and I do not know the behavior on other versions.

App Icon issue in Wallet app
Hi, Upon reviewing our app, we got feedback that our app icon within the Wallet app is not behaving as expected when the home screen is set to "light mode" only. In that case, on the home screen, the app icon remains its default color (e.g., red), regardless of the device's appearance settings (light or dark), which is expected. However, in the apple Wallet, e.g., under the From Apps from your device, app icons change their color (e.g., red in light mode, black in dark mode) when iOS appearance is changed - which is reported as an app issue. I've noticed that all apps in that section are changing the color, not just ours, so it seems to me like a bug in iOS or a behavior that was not clearly defined in the app store guidelines. If there is an API we must use to cover that case, which one would that be? Is this a bug that Apple should resolve, or is this the intended behaviour?

App rejection because of __SwiftValue
Hi, Our Flutter + Swift iOS app was rejected under Guideline 2.5.1 citing usage of a non-public API: Runner Classes: __SwiftValue From our analysis, __SwiftValue appears to be an internal Swift runtime type automatically generated by the Swift compiler for Swift–Objective-C bridging. It is not referenced in our source code or by any third-party frameworks and only appears in the compiled Runner binary. Has anyone encountered this rejection before? Is __SwiftValue considered a private API by App Review, or is this a known false positive? Are there any recommended build settings or mitigations to avoid this flag?

Text filtering: behavior of current message is affected by behavior of past message from same origin
If there is this situation: A text message is sent from a sender and gets classified as junk (by a text filtering extension) with the result that it gets send to the spam folder as expected. A text message with different content is sent from the same sender and gets classified as allowed, however it also gets sent to the spam folder. If the above is repeated but after step 1 the message is deleted, then in step 2 the message doesn't get sent to the spam folder. So the presence of the message from step 1 being in the spam folder is having an effect on the behavior of step 2. Expected beahavour (if so, why?), or a defect?

Shortcuts: How to add text to a file name
Hi there, Does anyone know how to modify this Image compressor Shortcut https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/e13d8013598f4f33830386a956a163dd so that the image it creates has the original file name + “-pressed”? Eg “Image_123” becomes “Image_123-pressed” I know of the action ‘Rename file’ but can’t make it work. The shortcut does batch processing of images if that makes any difference. Any help much appreciated:)

iOS 26 not showing new screenshot animation
Hi everyone, I’m currently testing iOS 26 on my iPhone as part of the developer program. According to Apple’s documentation and demo materials, a new screenshot animation was introduced in this version. However, when I take a screenshot on my device, the animation remains the same as in previous iOS versions. I’ve double-checked that I’m running the correct build of iOS 26, and I haven’t found any settings that might enable or disable this feature. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Could this new animation be device-specific, region-limited, or require additional configuration? Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Alonso Rivera

Mobile App OIDC/SAML Login Failures and ITP
We operate a native iOS app that authenticates users via the system browser using OIDC against a 3rd party SaaS authentication broker, which then performs authentication against the individual customer IdPs using SAML within the browser session, and then completes the OIDC login between the broker and our application. Our application initiates the OIDC login using ASWebAuthenticationSession, using the broker’s library, against the broker, and at that point the authentication workflow is handled by the broker. At the beginning of the login session, the broker sets a session-identifying cookie for their domain, before redirecting the user to their company’s identity provider to authenticate, which then redirects the user back to the broker. Intermittently, Mobile Safari does not include that previously set cookie on the final communication with the broker, when being redirected from the IdP as the final step of the SAML portion of the login workflow. When the cookie is missing, the broker cannot correlate the authentication response to the original request and the login fails, even though the user successfully authenticated at their identity provider. The same user can sometimes find success after retrying on the same device minutes later, without any changes. When we first started diagnosing this issue, we were seeing about a 20% rate of these errors across all Mobile Safari logins, which we can identify fairly conclusively (from provider logs, based on their guidance) as being caused by the session cookie set in one request not being provided on the subsequent request to the same domain. Our authentication broker provider has indicated, based on their server logs, and logs from an affected device, that this behavior is caused by Mobile Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Protection (ITP) causing Mobile Safari to not send the login session cookie to the broker when handling the SAML redirect from the IdP back to them. Our authentication broker provider recommended that we switch the SAML Request binding setting from POST to Redirect in the SAML configurations against our customer IdPs, which reduced the rate of these errors to about 5% for most of our customers. However, we have at least one customer which is still seeing about a 20% rate in these errors for Mobile Safari logins after this change, and even a 5% error rate seems high. Our authentication broker has not been able to suggest any further remediation options, and has suggested we contact Apple for assistance. Our questions are: Is it reasonable to assume that ITP is causing this issue? Is there any way to confirm, conclusively, that ITP has caused a previously-set cookie to not be provided on a subsequent request to the same domain, i.e. via device logs? If so, are there any steps which can be taken to reduce or eliminate this error? Changes to how ASWebAuthenticationSession is invoked? Changes to the Authentication Broker which would reduce the chance of ITP being triggered? Changes to the Customer IdP configuration which would reduce the chance of ITP being triggered?

Thanks in advance for your help,

gesture(LongPressGesture()) issue with scroll view
