All Testflight have been flagged as EXPIRED
Hi there, In the last few days ALL TF builds i has been flagged as Expired. Uploading new builds to TF seems to be successful but we get a 404 on the download link. It doesn't exist! Client side we have seemingly exhausted all our lines of enquiry. All certification seems to be correct and intact, and we can publish to the store. We cannot distribute builds through TF - which is highly problematic and inconvenient. These issues seems to be happening to many developers but I've not seen Apple comment on this yet. https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/823347 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/778597 https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/778597?answerId=885232022#885232022 I offer this as a sidenote. We transferred an app from this store, successfully to another store. The timing at first seemed linked, but now having seen other reports, it may just have been coincidence. Thankyou for your attention.

UIKit.ButtonBarButtonVisualProvider not key value coding-compliant for the key _titleButton
After updating to Xcode 26 my XCUITests are now failing as during execution exceptions are being raised and caught by my catch all breakpoint These exceptions are only raised during testing, and seem to be referencing some private internal property. It happens when trying to tap a button based off an accessibilityIdentifier e.g. accessibilityIdentifier = "tertiary-button" ... ... app.buttons["tertiary-button"].tap() The full error is: Thread 1: "[<UIKit.ButtonBarButtonVisualProvider 0x600003b4aa00> valueForUndefinedKey:]: this class is not key value coding-compliant for the key _titleButton." Anyone found any workarounds or solutions? I need to get my tests running on the liquid glass UI

Lazy Loading Causes Some Images to Disappear Intermittently on iOS Devices
Hey everyone, Back in 2022 and 2023, we noticed that some images on our web pages would disappear randomly. After refreshing, some of the images that were missing would appear, but then another image would go missing. Did anyone else experience this issue? Is there a fix / workaround I can use? This only seems to be an issue on iOS devices and images that have the loading=“lazy” attribute.

Using wildcard for applinks in iOS stopped working
Hi everyone, I've been working on an application that provides different subdomains for different customers, so we need to support app linking with all of them. However, using wildcard notation like applinks:*.domain.com doesn't work, while hardcoding applinks:subdomain.domain.com works fine. The association file is being served from both the main domain and subdomains. It used to work fine about a month ago, and I can't find any recent breaking changes on Apple's side . Any ideas why this could happen. ?

ParticleEmitterComponent Position Offset Issue After iOS 26.1 Update – Seeking Solutions & Workarounds
Problem Summary After upgrading to iOS 26.1 and 26.2, I'm experiencing a particle positioning bug in RealityKit where ParticleEmitterComponent particles render at an incorrect offset relative to their parent entity. This behavior does not occur on iOS 18.6.2 or earlier versions, suggesting a regression introduced in the newer OS builds. Environment Details Operating System: iOS 26.1 & iOS 26.2 Framework: RealityKit Xcode Version: 16.2 (16C5032a) Expected vs. Actual Behavior Expected: Particles should render at the position of the entity to which the ParticleEmitterComponent is attached, matching the behavior on iOS 18.6.2 and earlier. Actual: Particles appear away from their parent entity, creating a visual misalignment that breaks the intended AR experience. Steps to Reproduce Create or open an AR application with RealityKit that uses particle components Attach a ParticleEmitterComponent to an entity via a custom system Run the application on iOS 26.1 or iOS 26.2 Observe that particles render at an offset position away from the entity Minimal Code Example Here's the setup from my test case: Custom Component & System: struct SparkleComponent4: Component {} class SparkleSystem4: System { static let query = EntityQuery(where: .has(SparkleComponent4.self)) required init(scene: Scene) {} func update(context: SceneUpdateContext) { for entity in context.scene.performQuery(Self.query) { // Only add once if entity.components.has(ParticleEmitterComponent.self) { continue } var newEmitter = ParticleEmitterComponent() newEmitter.mainEmitter.color = .constant(.single(.red)) entity.components.set(newEmitter) } } } AR Setup: let material = SimpleMaterial(color: .gray, roughness: 0.15, isMetallic: true) let model = Entity() model.components.set(ModelComponent(mesh: boxMesh, materials: [material])) model.components.set(SparkleComponent4()) model.position = [0, 0.05, 0] model.name = "MyCube" let anchor = AnchorEntity(.plane(.horizontal, classification: .any, minimumBounds: [0.2, 0.2])) anchor.addChild(model) arView.scene.addAnchor(anchor) Questions for the Community Has anyone else encountered this particle positioning issue after updating to iOS 26.1/26.2? Are there known workarounds or configuration changes to ParticleEmitterComponent that restore correct positioning? Is this a confirmed bug, or could there be a change in coordinate system handling or transform inheritance that I'm missing? SKStoreReviewController requestReviewInScene: does not display review prompt in debug builds on iOS 26.5 beta (23F5043k)
[SKStoreReviewController requestReviewInScene:] no longer displays the review prompt in debug/development builds on iOS 26.5 beta (23F5043k and 23F5043g). According to Apple's documentation, the review prompt should always appear in debug builds to facilitate testing. This was working in previous iOS versions (iOS 26.4 and older). Steps to reproduce: Run app from Xcode in debug configuration on a device running iOS 26.5 beta (23F5043k or 23F5043g) Call [SKStoreReviewController requestReviewInScene:windowScene] with a valid, foreground-active UIWindowScene Observe that the method executes without error (scene is valid per NSLog) but no review prompt appears Expected: Review prompt should display in debug builds Actual: No prompt appears, despite the scene being valid and foreground-active This worked correctly on previous iOS versions (26.4) so looks like this bug was introduced in 26.5 Beta versions. I have already filed a bug report in Feedback Assistant with number: FB22445620

browser.commands: Empty browser action reference causes conflicts
To provide users the ability for a keyboard shortcut to open extensions, you can define this in manifest: "commands": { "_execute_browser_action": { "description": "Open extension popup" } }, This doesn't set a keyboard shortcut yet allows the user to assign one. However, in iOS safari, when two extensions offer this functionality, the browser warns about it. See screenshot:

Issue where images from local paths cannot be retrieved in Cordova Webview starting from iOS 26.4
Hello. I am using Cordova Webview to select a photo from the album, save it locally, and then pass the saved path to the web for display. It displayed correctly up to OS 26.3.x, but starting from OS 26.4.x, I am unable to retrieve images from local paths. Part displayed in Cordova Webview I have also confirmed the existence of the corresponding file in the src path. Are there any known bugs or solutions? Thank you.

EXC_BAD_ACCESS in drawHierarchy(in:afterScreenUpdates:) on iOS 26.3.1+ — IOSurface CIF10 decompression crash
We're experiencing an EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) crash in UIView.drawHierarchy(in:afterScreenUpdates: false) that occurs only on iOS 26.3.1 and later. It does not reproduce on iOS 26.3.0 or earlier. Crash Stack Thread 0 (Main Thread) — EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS 0 libvDSP.dylib vConvert_XRGB2101010ToARGB8888_vec 1 ImageIO IIOIOSurfaceWrapper_CIF10::CopyImageBlockSetWithOptions 2 ImageIO IIOImageProviderInfo::CopyImageBlockSetWithOptions 3 ImageIO CGImageReadGetBytesAtOffset 4 CoreGraphics CGAccessSessionGetBytes 5 CoreGraphics img_data_lock 6 CoreGraphics CGSImageDataLock 7 CoreGraphics ripc_AcquireImage 8 CoreGraphics ripc_DrawImage 9 CoreGraphics CGContextDrawImage 10 UIKitCore -[UIView(Rendering) drawHierarchy:afterScreenUpdates:] The crash occurs during 10-bit CIF10 → 8-bit ARGB8888 pixel conversion when the IOSurface backing a UIImageView in the view hierarchy is deallocated mid-render. How to Reproduce Display a scrollable list with multiple UIImageViews loaded via an async image library Call drawHierarchy(in: bounds, afterScreenUpdates: false) on visible cells periodically Scroll to trigger image recycling Crash occurs sporadically — more likely under memory pressure or rapid image recycling What We've Tried Both UIKit off-screen rendering approaches crash on iOS 26.3.1: Approach Result drawHierarchy(afterScreenUpdates: false) EXC_BAD_ACCESS in CIF10 IOSurface decompression view.layer.render(in:) EXC_BAD_ACCESS in Metal (agxaAssertBufferIsValid) iOS Version Correlation iOS 26.3.0 and earlier: No crash iOS 26.3.1 (23D8133)+: Crash occurs (~5 events per 7 days) We suspect the ImageIO security patches in iOS 26.3 (CVE-2026-20675, CVE-2026-20634) may have changed IOSurface lifecycle timing, exposing a race condition between drawHierarchy's composited buffer read and asynchronous IOSurface reclamation by the OS. Crash Data We sampled 3 crash events: Event 1 (iOS 26.3.1): 71 MB free memory — memory pressure Event 2 (iOS 26.3.1): 88 MB free memory — memory pressure Event 3 (iOS 26.3.2): 768 MB free memory — NOT memory pressure Event 3 shows this isn't purely a low-memory issue. The IOSurface can be reclaimed even with ample free memory, likely due to async image recycling. Question Is this a known regression in iOS 26.3.1? Is there a safe way to snapshot a view hierarchy containing IOSurface-backed images without risking EXC_BAD_ACCESS? Should drawHierarchy gracefully handle the case where an IOSurface backing store is reclaimed during the render? Any guidance or workarounds would be appreciated. We've also filed this as Feedback (will update with FB number after submission).

Hi I tried to follow this guide https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/filtering-traffic-by-url I downloaded the sample app and put our pir service server address in the app. The service is already running and the app is connected to the pir service but the url is still not blocked. We tried to block example.com. Is there anything that we need to do in iOS code? This is the sample when there's dataset This is the sample when there's no dataset

AID A000000308000010000100 seems mandatory to communicate with any smart card through TKSmartCardSlotNFCSession
I am using the CryptoTokenKit API in order to communicate with smart cards through NFC, with TKSmartCardSlotNFCSession. I call the createNFCSlotWithMessage method from TKSmartCardSlotManager, which displays successfuly the NFC dialog. However, when I put any smart card next to the phone, the NFC dialog shuts down instantly. I notice the following log in the system console: -[_NFReaderSession(Entitlement) validateAID:allowsPrefixMatch:]:317 Non-permissible identifier: A000000308000010000100 When I add the A000000308000010000100 AID mentioned in the error message to the Info.plist of my application, the NFC dialog does not shut down anymore and I am able to communicate with the smart card (using TKSmartCard). This behavior has been reproduced on an iPhone 16e, iOS 26.4. This AID does not correspond to anything in the smart card. It seems to be related to PIV, but this behavior also occurs with cards that are not PIV (PKCS#15...). Also, with an implementation using CoreNFC API instead of CryptoTokenKit API, this AID is not needed to be able to communicate with the card, so it seems CryptoTokenKit-specific. I did not find anything related to this in the documentation, have I missed something here ? Is this a special AID that is required all the time to work with NFC through CryptoTokenKit ?

iOS: Issues getting beginBackgroundTaskWithName working reliably
We have tried using background tasks for file saving via (UIBackgroundTaskIdentifier) beginBackgroundTaskWithName:(NSString *) taskName expirationHandler:(void (^)(void)) handler; when our app goes into the background and/or is closed by the user. But we cannot make it work the way the documentation tells us it should. While task creation never reports an issue (in fact it never calls our expiration handler at all) and the returned task id is always valid, when we ask for how much time we have left via backgroundTimeRemaining we always get 6s instead of the specified 30s. We tried to create the task when the app state goes to inactive or when our delegate is called via applicationDidEnterBackground but it makes no difference, besides the fact that the remaining time reported is basically max double, when the app is not in background yet which is by design as far we understand. But we don't even get the 6s for saving when a user closes the app. Because almost immediately after applicationDidEnterBackground our delegate is called via applicationWillTerminate which will then again almost immediately end in the app receiving a SIGKILL. So we must be doing something wrong. Why would applicationWillTerminate be called at all when we have a valid background task that reports we have 6s left? We tried blocking the thread in both background and terminate to at least give us the 5s the spec says we have before we get the SIGKILL. That works in general but doesn't feel like the correct approach and we do need more time than the 5s or 6s we get this way. Are we supposed to add something to our plist in order for these background tasks to work correctly? It is very confusing that there is a second mechanism that's also called background tasks for running apps in the background in general, which is not applicable to us. Are we supposed to block somewhere when we create the task? Or even spin up an extra thread for the task? Why is our expirationHandler never called? The spec says that our handler should be called if it was unable to "grant the ask assertion" so it seems like we do not have that problem. But it's also supposed to be called just before we are running out of time but by that time the app is already dead. This was all tested on iOS 26.3 and it is probably worth mentioning that our app is Qt-based.

Stuck in 'Ready for distribution'
I'm trying to release my first app (so may be missing something obvious), but it passed review 4 days ago and has been 'Ready for distribution' since then without going live. Is this normal, or am I missing some step I have to take? I saw another thread that mentioned setting pricing, but I've done that. TIA

Thank you.

The size of the asset has increased more than three time in the assets.car file after signing the ios app
The assets in the Asset.xcasset lesser than the asset in the Assets.car file. Because of this the iPA file size increased three times as Assets.car file inside the iPA increased. Why do the asset file size increased enormously. How do we prevent this ? I used Version 26.2 (17C52).

NEURLFilter Not Blocking urls
Hi I tried to follow this guide https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/filtering-traffic-by-url I downloaded the sample app and put our pir service server address in the app. The service is already running and the app is connected to the pir service but the url is still not blocked. We tried to block example.com. Is there anything that we need to do in iOS code? This is the sample when there's dataset This is the sample when there's no dataset

iOS crash: EXC_BAD_ACCESS in iOS 26+ when mouting/dismounting WebView
I'm experiencing a native crash on iOS 26+ with WebKit with title: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS).
