How do subscription promotional offers work for currently subscribed customers?
Hello, I'm trying to understand what happens when a subscribed customer of a subscription A purchases a promotional offer for the same subscription A. Let's say the product is a yearly subscription priced at $100. When the month 7 starts (6 months remaining in the regular subscription period), I send the user a promotional offer for the same product but priced at $25 for the first year (100$ afterwards) and he accepts the offer. Is the promotional offer started only at the end of the current year (after the 6 remaining months) or is it started immediately and he gets a pro-rata refund for the 6 remaining months? Thanks.

iOS Subscriptions in Russia – Is Apple In-App Purchase mandatory or can local providers be used?
Hello, We are working on integrating billing into our dating app, targeted at the Russian market. Our main requirement is to support subscriptions with automatic renewal and cancellation. We understand that, according to App Store Review Guideline, all digital subscriptions should use Apple In-App Purchase (IAP). However, we are unsure how this applies in Russia, where some local regulations may limit the use of non-Russian payment processors, and where not all Russian bank cards are accepted by Apple. Our question is: -For iOS apps in Russia, is it strictly required to use Apple IAP for subscriptions? -Are there any approved exceptions allowing integration with local processors such as Robokassa or YooKassa? -How are other developers currently handling subscriptions for the Russian market? How to get APP that has already been listed outside of mainland China listed in mainland China
Hello all, My question is, how to get APP (specialized in make SOPs for industrial users) that has already been listed outside of mainland China to be listed on apple store of mainland China? Can I simply refile it to cover China mainland with existing apple developer account or do I have to create a new local apple developer account to start the listing process? AppStore search auto corrects the name of our app
Hi all, I reached out to AppStoreConnect support and they told me to ask here... I think this is on Apple to fix, but want to follow what they recommend me to do We launched a new app called "Dubsy". On the AppStore, if you search for "Dubsy", you'll get results for Subway, with a note like "Showing results for Subway, tap to search for Dubsy". This is not good for app discovery, particularly with a pretty unique name Have any of you had success with Apple fixing their autocorrect in AppStore search? We could add "subway" to our keywords, but that sounds shady... Any guidance is appreciated

Mail after send app to review
Hi, I submitted an app update for review, and before, I automatically received an email from Apple saying, "Your app is under review," but now I haven't received that email. Does this mean there's a problem with the app? Did I do something wrong? Or do I just not receive that email every time? (So far, I've received it every time I've submitted an app for review.) I hope you can help. Thank you.

I’m trying to better understand how App Store search ranking works for this type of app so it can feature higher in search results. Specifically, I’d like to know: What factors influence whether an app shows up at the top for keywords like “storage cleaner”, “duplicate finder”, or “privacy cleaner”? How important are title, subtitle, and keyword fields compared to downloads, ratings, and reviews? Does keyword repetition in the description improve ranking, or does Apple ignore that? Are there any proven strategies for utility apps (like system optimizers/cleaners) to compete with big, established apps in search visibility? Does localization (multiple languages) significantly improve search exposure, even if the app is English-first? Apple Inapp payement response handling
i'm integrating In-App Purchases in our Flutter app using the official in_app_purchase plugin. We are currently testing consumable purchases and facing issues with the way events are delivered from StoreKit to the app. Implementation details I initiate the purchase with: await InAppPurchase.instance.buyConsumable(purchaseParam: purchaseParam); I listen for purchase updates with: final Stream<List> purchaseUpdated = inAppPurchase.purchaseStream; _subscription = purchaseUpdated.listen((purchaseDetailsList) { _handlePurchaseUpdates(purchaseDetailsList); }, onError: (Object error) { updateApplePaymentStatus(isSuccess: false, response: jsonEncode(error.toString())); }, onDone: () { _subscription.cancel(); }); Issues Observed Control on purchase button event As soon as the user taps the purchase button, the App Store purchase sheet is shown. Question: Is there a way to intercept control at this point (before showing the sheet) to perform additional checks or logging? Cancelled payment after UPI intent In our testing with UPI payment flows (UPI intent triggered from Apple Pay/linked payment method), if the user cancels the payment from the external flow, we don’t see a clear event in purchaseStream. Question: How can we reliably capture this cancellation status on the app side? Event timing after successful purchase Currently, the purchaseStream event is only triggered after the StoreKit purchase confirmation popup has been dismissed by the user. Question: Is there a way to capture the event earlier (i.e., right after StoreKit confirms payment success), so we can update our backend and UI without waiting for popup dismissal? Request We would appreciate guidance on: Best practices for intercepting purchase initiation before the StoreKit sheet. Recommended way to detect and handle cancelled payments (especially in UPI flows) managed on frondend side. Whether it is possible to receive successful purchase events without waiting for the user to dismiss the confirmation dialog. Thank you for your support.

Age Rating is stucked on UnRated, and App Unavailable
This is my first launch, and i submitted 4 versions of my app. All the versions were reviewed and accepted. For each submission i filled in the Age Rating questionnaire, but after all the 7 steps, it shows UnRated. When i fill in the questions for the Age Rating, and in my game app i have no nudity/obscene or defamatry content of any sort, and i eplxicitly mark this questions to NONE, but after answering all questions, on the final step i see the warning: "Based on your selections, this app can't be made available on the App Store. Apps on the App Store can’t contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, and so on)." Which is BS because the app contains nothing of the sort and epxlicitly answered all related questions that it contains nothing of the sort and the app submissions are reviewed and accepted for distribution,.

how is the refund amount calculated for auto-renewing upgrade?
Hi, We have a app with some auto-renewing subscription in a group of subscriptions. When a user upgrade from a subscription to another, the "user receive a refund of the prorated amount of their original subscription" (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/subscriptions/). How is the prorated calculated ? Example : subscription to 14,99$ / month. If subscriber upgrade after 10 days, is the refund calculated 10/30 of 14,99$ (so ~5$) ?

App's App Store ID availble before initial App release?
Hey guys, I'm currently building my first app, which is not released yet. Inside the app there is one button that should bring the user to the app's App Store page, if the user wants to rate the app. I have found a way to navigate the user to the App Store page, with the help of the SKStoreProductViewController - https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/skstoreproductviewcontroller. Although I need the App Store ID of my app aka the SKStoreProductParameterITunesItemIdentifier. - https://developer.apple.com/documentation/storekit/skstoreproductparameteritunesitemidentifier My question is now: How can I get my App Store ID if my app is not released yet? When looking into App Store Connect - My App - General Information I see a point called "Apple ID" with an 10 digit code. The description when clicking on the question mark is: "An automatically generated ID assigned to your app". This code looks like the App Store ID, but is it really it? Really appreciate any help!

What's the best way to detect if the app was installed from TestFlight (iOS & macOS)?
For ages, we've been using appStoreReceiptUrl to detect if the app was installed from TestFlight or not, but now that's deprecated. Since we have a strict policy of no warnings on the project, we need to find a way to check if the app was installed from TestFlight or from the App Store. Does anyone know what's the new way to do so? I thought about using MarketplaceKit.AppDistributor.testFlight but to use MarketplaceKit you need to jump through hoops that our app really doesn't need to - we don't distribute outside of the App Store. Any ideas are much appreciated! 🙏

App "Ready For Distrubution". Is there a way to find the app in the appstore FROM the "appstore connect"? (From my developer console)
I also Pressed "Automatically Release this version" Does this mean the app is already up? if yes, Is there a way to find the app "page" in the store, directly from my app store connect (developer console) page? I roamed through the different sections and could not find a way to go directly to my app store page from my app development pages (App information, app review, history, trust and safety pages, growth and marketing pages, monetization pages, nominations) non seemed to have a direct link to my released page?

Very technical question about the 'project.pbxproj' file. Targeted devices?
Hello In my app code (in flutter) but you can remain if you code in other langages, maybe you can help in other ways, I have a file called: project.pbxproj I am wondering about this line: ARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = "1,2"; Is it true that the 1 is for Iphone and 2 for Ipad? Would that mean that if I wrote "1" and removed 2, then in my app page in developer store side I would not see a tab for Ipad where the store requires from me to post screenshots for ipad? For instance (see image below) I know you guys use XCODE and it handels it itself, but can you open your .ipa files and check "project.pbxproj" to confirm differences between these files when the app is targeting Iphone Vs targeting Ipad? App Store Connect Error ITMS-90058: This bundle is invalid
App Store Connect rejects the build with the following error: Please correct the following issues and upload a new binary to App Store Connect. ITMS-90058: This bundle is invalid - The value for key CFBundleVersion [iphoneos] in the Info.plist file must be a period-separated list of at most three non-negative integers. Please find more information about CFBundleVersion at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information_property_list/cfbundleversion But we double-checked at the app level; in all places the CFBundleVersion and versions is mentioned in the correct format. Even though we tried to upload via Xcode and Transporter, both show success. but the build is not reflecting in TestFlight. Receive the above error message via mail. data: { "attributes": { "cfBundleShortVersionString": "3.25.9", "cfBundleVersion": "25", "p Validated with the delivery log, but the delivery log also shows correct versioning only.

Issue with App Crashing After Download from App Store
Hi, I am experiencing a critical issue with my app (dbMobil) in its published state. When the app is installed via TestFlight, it works without any problems and no errors can be detected. However, when downloading the same app from the App Store, it immediately crashes for many users without displaying any error message, directly at app start. This issue also occurs on my own test devices: TestFlight version: works flawlessly App Store version: crashes immediately upon launch It appears that there must be a difference between the version I submitted and published via TestFlight and the one currently available on the App Store. Could you please provide me with feedback on what differences may exist between these two versions and where the cause of this issue might lie? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Unlocking hidden "Developer mode" option on Ipad (without Mac or Xcode)
Hello, I have an iphone but not an ipad Actually a relative has an iPad. The problem I encoutered was when i was testing an app that I had built prior (so I had the ipa file) but no acces to Xcode. The thing is when I wanted to test it on my iphone, everything WENT SMOOTH and ok. When I tried on iPAD, I encounteed the problem I could not unlock the hidden "developer mode" option in any way, I tried so many things, checked and rechecked, the option was and stayed hidden, I could not activate it. Therefore I could not test the app. In the apple store I was required to give a screenshot for iPAD but that failed. because I could not produce ANY, since I could not run my app on iPAD. I actually have no idea how I activated the ability to turn on the developer mode on my iphone, it was just there and I activated it perhaps because I had added the email of my iphone to the developer account somehow? somehwere? But for iPAD I just could not find a way to do it, don't know if adding it somewhere could trigger something on the ipad to allow it to show the developer mode option so I can activate it finally? Anyway, I tried things I read on internet, methods that mention how to activate the developer mode ability on an ios devide though WINDOWS, there were 2 but one I did not trust much, and even I think i tried it and in the end it did not work for some incompatibility making that method obsolete or something? the other I am not sure but probably same idea. I would like to know, how to activate the ABILITY to SHOW the option to activate the developer mode on iPAD (or any other device but for now I am focuson on iPad) please, and without using macbook or xcode!? Could Apple or anyone offer some guidance? That would help a fellow developer. Thank you. Ps. No I cant get the mac or xcode for now (but hopefully in a far future, but for now I can't). Thanks

[REQUEST] for a tool/method/guidance how to create privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) when you don't have Xcode/mac
Hello, PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy Is primordial and without it the app is rejected from the Store I believe. All 5 ressources I had found related to it, mention XCODE, or explain how to add the code to langages that I don't use (Switf i think?) etc. I am building the app thought CI/CD, so prior to building it the app does not have privacy manifest and there is not way to generate it automatically without xcode it seems. My app is written in Flutter prior to becoming an iOS app. I am seeking for a method to do that. Thanks.

Link to app store game that does not yet exist
Hi all, Pretty new here, so please remember when you were trying hard. I am creating an IOS app that will generate a link where you have a room-id and a unique id. This will be sent (normal sms. email, copy/paste values etc) to another user. If the person receiving the link does not have the app installed, I would like it to go to the app store for download, however the app is currently not finished and therefore I can't provide a proper link. The description when clicking on the question mark is: "An automatically generated ID assigned to your app". This code looks like the App Store ID, but is it really it? Really appreciate any help!

What's the best way to detect if the app was installed from TestFlight (iOS & macOS)?
For ages, we've been using appStoreReceiptUrl to detect if the app was installed from TestFlight or not, but now that's deprecated. Since we have a strict policy of no warnings on the project, we need to find a way to check if the app was installed from TestFlight or from the App Store. Does anyone know what's the new way to do so? I thought about using MarketplaceKit.AppDistributor.testFlight but to use MarketplaceKit you need to jump through hoops that our app really doesn't need to - we don't distribute outside of the App Store. Any ideas are much appreciated! 🙏

App "Ready For Distrubution". Is there a way to find the app in the appstore FROM the "appstore connect"? (From my developer console)
I also Pressed "Automatically Release this version" Does this mean the app is already up? if yes, Is there a way to find the app "page" in the store, directly from my app store connect (developer console) page? I roamed through the different sections and could not find a way to go directly to my app store page from my app development pages (App information, app review, history, trust and safety pages, growth and marketing pages, monetization pages, nominations) non seemed to have a direct link to my released page?

Very technical question about the 'project.pbxproj' file. Targeted devices?
Hello In my app code (in flutter) but you can remain if you code in other langages, maybe you can help in other ways, I have a file called: project.pbxproj I am wondering about this line: ARGETED_DEVICE_FAMILY = "1,2"; Is it true that the 1 is for Iphone and 2 for Ipad? Would that mean that if I wrote "1" and removed 2, then in my app page in developer store side I would not see a tab for Ipad where the store requires from me to post screenshots for ipad? For instance (see image below) I know you guys use XCODE and it handels it itself, but can you open your .ipa files and check "project.pbxproj" to confirm differences between these files when the app is targeting Iphone Vs targeting Ipad? App Store Connect Error ITMS-90058: This bundle is invalid
App Store Connect rejects the build with the following error: Please correct the following issues and upload a new binary to App Store Connect. ITMS-90058: This bundle is invalid - The value for key CFBundleVersion [iphoneos] in the Info.plist file must be a period-separated list of at most three non-negative integers. Please find more information about CFBundleVersion at https://developer.apple.com/documentation/bundleresources/information_property_list/cfbundleversion But we double-checked at the app level; in all places the CFBundleVersion and versions is mentioned in the correct format. Even though we tried to upload via Xcode and Transporter, both show success. but the build is not reflecting in TestFlight. Issue with App Crashing After Download from App Store
Hi, I am experiencing a critical issue with my app (dbMobil) in its published state. When the app is installed via TestFlight, it works without any problems and no errors can be detected. However, when downloading the same app from the App Store, it immediately crashes for many users without displaying any error message, directly at app start. This issue also occurs on my own test devices: TestFlight version: works flawlessly App Store version: crashes immediately upon launch It appears that there must be a difference between the version I submitted and published via TestFlight and the one currently available on the App Store. Could you please provide me with feedback on what differences may exist between these two versions and where the cause of this issue might lie? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

"No builds Available" at Test Flight. Why?
Hello, Anytime I try to send an app to the store, and specifically to test flight Then I add an individual user it shows me: "No build available" Is that normal? why? What's happening here? Please enlighten me?

Unlocking hidden "Developer mode" option on Ipad (without Mac or Xcode)
Hello, I have an iphone but not an ipad Actually a relative has an iPad. The problem I encoutered was when i was testing an app that I had built prior (so I had the ipa file) but no acces to Xcode. The thing is when I wanted to test it on my iphone, everything WENT SMOOTH and ok. When I tried on iPAD, I encounteed the problem I could not unlock the hidden "developer mode" option in any way, I tried so many things, checked and rechecked, the option was and stayed hidden, I could not activate it. Therefore I could not test the app. In the apple store I was required to give a screenshot for iPAD but that failed. because I could not produce ANY, since I could not run my app on iPAD. I actually have no idea how I activated the ability to turn on the developer mode on my iphone, it was just there and I activated it perhaps because I had added the email of my iphone to the developer account somehow? somehwere? But for iPAD I just could not find a way to do it, don't know if adding it somewhere could trigger something on the ipad to allow it to show the developer mode option so I can activate it finally? Anyway, I tried things I read on internet, methods that mention how to activate the developer mode ability on an ios devide though WINDOWS, there were 2 but one I did not trust much, and even I think i tried it and in the end it did not work for some incompatibility making that method obsolete or something? the other I am not sure but probably same idea. I would like to know, how to activate the ABILITY to SHOW the option to activate the developer mode on iPAD (or any other device but for now I am focuson on iPad) please, and without using macbook or xcode!? Could Apple or anyone offer some guidance? That would help a fellow developer. Thank you. Ps. No I cant get the mac or xcode for now (but hopefully in a far future, but for now I can't). Thanks

[REQUEST] for a tool/method/guidance how to create privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) when you don't have Xcode/mac
Hello, PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy Is primordial and without it the app is rejected from the Store I believe. All 5 ressources I had found related to it, mention XCODE, or explain how to add the code to langages that I don't use (Switf i think?) etc. I am building the app thought CI/CD, so prior to building it the app does not have privacy manifest and there is not way to generate it automatically without xcode it seems. My app is written in Flutter prior to becoming an iOS app. I am seeking for a method to do that. Thanks.

Link to app store game that does not yet exist
Hi all, Pretty new here, so please remember when you were trying hard. I am creating an IOS app that will generate a link where you have a room-id and a unique id. This will be sent (normal sms. email, copy/paste values etc) to another user. If the person receiving the link does not have the app installed, I would like it to go to the app store for download, however the app is currently not finished and therefore I can't provide a proper link. How do you deal with that? Thanks in advance
