Archive leaderboards and achievements

You can archive live leaderboards and achievements.

Archived leaderboards and achievements will be removed from all relevant sections of Game Center’s user interface and won’t be returned when retrieving a GKAchievement and GKLeaderboard.

Leaderboards and achievements can be unarchived at any time.

Required role: Account Holder, Admin, App Manager, Developer, or Marketing. View role permissions.

Archive or unarchive a leaderboard

  1. From Apps, select the app that you want to manage.

  2. In the sidebar, click Game Center.

  3. In the Leaderboards section, select the leaderboard that you want to archive.

    If leaderboard sets exists, select the leaderboard set that you want to view and select the leaderboard that you want to archive.

  4. Click Archive Leaderboard.

    If the leaderboard is already archived, Unarchive this leaderboard will be displayed. To Unarchive it, click the Unarchive this leaderboard.

  5. Click Archive.

It may take over an hour for the changes to take effect to the players.

Note: If you archive the default leaderboard, the first unarchived leaderboard will be automatically designated as the new default. Learn how to set default leaderboard in App Store Connect or GameKit.

Archive or unarchive an achievement

  1. From Apps, select the app that you want to manage.

  2. In the sidebar, click Game Center.

  3. In the Achievements section, select the achievement that you want to archive.

  4. Click Archive this achievement.

    If the achievement is already archived, Unarchive this achievement will be displayed. To unarchive it, click the Unarchive this achievement.

  5. Click Archive.

It may take over an hour for the changes to take effect to the players.

View archived leaderboards or achievements

  1. From Apps, select the app that you want to manage.

  2. In the sidebar, click Game Center.

  3. In the Leaderboards or Achievements section, click the ellipsis menu (...).

    If Leaderboards Sets exist, select the leaderboard set that you want to view.

  4. Select View archived leaderboard or View archived achievements.
