Submit an In-App Event

Before publishing your In-App Event on the App Store, submit your event details and media for review, ensuring all required information is complete. If you want to submit an In-App Event and your app hasn’t been approved yet, include the In-App Event in the same submission as your first iOS app version. If your app is already approved, you can choose to submit an In-App Event with or without an iOS app version. You can also add other items to a submission.

You can publish up to 10 In-App Events on the App Store and Apple Games at a time. Additionally, you can have up to 15 approved In-App Events per app in App Store Connect at a time.

Required role: Account Holder, Admin, App Manager, or Marketing. View role permissions.

  1. In Apps, select the app you want to view.

  2. In the left sidebar, click In-App Events.

  3. Select your event from the list.

  4. On the top right, click Add for Review and select whether to add the In-App Event to an existing draft submission or create a new submission. Items in the submission will be reviewed together with your latest iOS version. The In-App Event status changes to Ready for Review.

    If you’re submitting the In-App Event for review with an app version, it will be reviewed together with that app version.

    If you’re submitting the In-App Event for review without an app version, select a platform in the draft submission screen. The In-App Event will be reviewed together with the latest version of the selected platform.

    You may choose to add other items to the submission.

    Note: Users with the marketing role can’t add app versions to a submission.

  5. Click Submit For Review. The In-App Event status changes to Waiting for Review. When the review process starts, the status changes to In Review. Learn more about item statuses.
