App Store asset statuses

When an asset — such as an app preview, screenshot, or creative asset — is added to the Asset Library, it moves through the following statuses:

Status

What it means

Uploading

The asset is being added to the Asset Library.

Processing

Your uploaded asset is being processed and validated. You can’t take action on the asset until processing completes.

Prepare for Submission

You’ve uploaded an asset to App Store Connect, but haven’t submitted it to App Review. While in this state, the asset is available to browse and select when configuring app versions, Custom Product Pages, Product Page Optimization tests, or In-App Events. You can also delete the asset.

Ready for Review

The asset has been added to a submission, but it hasn't been submitted to App Review yet.

Waiting for Review

Apple received your submission, but hasn't started review.

In Review

App Review is reviewing your submission. You can cancel the submission to remove it from review.

Accepted

This asset has been accepted, but there are one or more rejected items in the submission. All items in the submission must be accepted before any can be published. You can edit the rejected items and resubmit, or you can remove the item from the submission.

Approved

Apple has approved your asset.

Rejected

App Review didn't accept your asset. You can edit the item and resubmit, or you can remove the item from the submission.

Archived

The asset belonged to a previous app version and has been replaced by a newer one. Archived assets don't appear in the Asset Library by default; use filters to view them.
